Forbidden Love

Forbidden Love a Spanish Romeo and Juliet Tragedy

Lovers of Turiel were from the families of Marcillo and Segara.

The children, Isabel and Diego, grew up together and wanted to marry.
Diego could not afford married life, so it was agreed to hold off marrying Isabel for five
years, so he could amass some wealth. Diego left for sea and came back
a wealthy man,
minutes after the wedding of his beloved Isabel.
That night he came to her and asked her to kiss him because he was dying
She refused, being married, and saw him fall at her feet dead.
She told her husband who was infuriated she did not kiss him.
He was afraid to be blamed for Diego's death.
At the funeral, Isabel came in her wedding dress.
She kissed her true love Diego and fell over his body, dead.
They lie in Spain for all to see , a Spanish Romeo and Juliet Tragedy.
Although their hands seem to be touching, they are not, because after all, she was already married.

"You don't marry someone you can live with - you marry the person who you cannot live without."
