Little Brat

At this point in time my parents lived with my grand parents.
Here I am sitting on a chair in their living room,
torturing the cat. lol
The cat didn't mind.
My Grand parents house was not finished when we moved in
Every one worked except for my Mom.
My Dad and Grand Dad had two jobs.

We also had a canary which a rat ate in our bedroom one night.
My Mother was always afraid the rat would find me sleeping and
eat my nose off so she was always on strict watch patrol.

It is around this point in time when I got into my Aunts' perfume
and poured a whole expensive bottle on my head.
She cried every time she smelled me, because she worked a whole month
to buy this particular perfume.

At this point in time they also bought a black and white television set.
I was petrified of Humphrey Bogart who looked so sinister in his hat,
 smoking a cigarette.
I had night mares at night, he was coming to get me, in a foggy lumber yard.
This was also when I was helping my Dad build our small
bungalow and fell with my glass, milk bottle, cutting a big
hole in my arm.
I still have the scar but in those days we never went to the doctor for stitches
like they do today. We were tough in dem days. lol
We were a team.
This was the time I would sit in my high chair and my Grand Dad at the other end of the table.
He would point to his head and then to the table showing me I was dense/ stupid  and he'd smile and then wink at me and show me his tongue.
I would wait for him every day impatiently to sit down so I could show him back the same thing almost breaking my finger in the process poking the table and showing him my tongue back.
He found this funny but my Grand Mother would get upset and yell at him every day ,
saying that I only do this to him and he didn't teach me something nice. lol
Putting elbows on the table was another bad thing.
I was always scolded but then I would look and every one had their elbows on the table.
I would then explain to them it was impolite to put elbows on the table and again be scolded.
Life was hard in dem days lol
Didn't make any sense at all.
Why was it ok for everyone except me?

My Childhood

This is me in my black velvet dress, playing with my toys.
My Mother burnt them all after my dog caught rabies.
The one on the right hand side was named Lyalya.
Only God knows why lol
She was my favorite and I played with her a lot.
I used to take all the chairs and line them up
to make a train or bus and put my doll passengers in each one
I'd be the conductor and we'd go to many places together.
I'd also use the chairs with a sheet to make a tent to
live under with my toys.
We didn't have much in those days but we enjoyed
our toys a lot more.
I don't see kids playing like this anymore.
Their toys are so much more advanced.
I don't see many kids dressed in velvet either today.
Most of my clothing was home made and I wore a lot of velvet and velveteen all lined.
When I look at the Velvet material prices today I cringe.
I still love velvet.
It's so warm.

Letters

I was going through some boxes and found an envelope full of letters I wrote home to my parents.
They kept them all and reading them, I saw just how much I forgot about my life living abroad.
Letters really are more personal and like a diary of your life.
They are not deleted like what I do with emails today.
I look at my nice handwriting and I know I must have a load of letters they wrote me as well somewhere.
My Mother was always critical of my hand writing until one day I told her that my handwriting was better than hers. lol She said no cause it was more fancy with squiggles . I told her squiggles is what makes it more fun to write and personal. By my squiggles, you will always know who wrote the letter.
I also knew who opened the envelope, by the way it was opened.lol

Anyway they never wrote as much as I did.
They didn't have as much to write except about their garden.
or to be asking when we would come back home.

Today's generation with technology, will be a lost, forgotten generation. It will be a generation which didn't exist
except in cyber space somewhere where no one will know them or find them.
They leave nothing behind that can't be erased with a computer virus.
Millions and millions of memories, gone in a wink.
When I look up my name, I find tons of people with the same name.
Can you imagine how confusion can result?
I can take on the life of anyone carrying my name, anywhere in the world where they live.
With computer savy, it's so easy to do .
Life wasn't like this before. We never knew other people, with the same name existed. lol
I know life becomes irrelevant, because my old computers crashed three times before we got one secure enough to withstand the evil which tries to get in to destroy it, just for fun or because it can.

You can't feel the paper and the aura of the person who sat and wrote these letters either.
You can't look at the postage stamps the paper you wrote on, state of mind you were in.
It's just not there in emails or texts.

I can feel my parents , having nothing to do in winter, picking them up and rereading them and
discussing their daughter while looking at the pics which accompanied the letters.
I can't believe those days are over.
I can't believe we are getting old and the new generation, has no idea about what kind of life
their parents led.
No letters, no roots, no memories.
Sometimes reading these letters you see how faulty your memory is and how things really transpired during this time.
Like for example, I had this Pekanese a Chinese lady gave us.
 Her name was Pinky.
Lovingly I called her pinky stinky and she'd look at me with these huge brown eyes.
She was a doll face.
During the Hungry Ghost festival, I had dreams about saving people, for 4 days.
When I'd wake up, I would realize that these people were dead and couldn't be saved.
Then someone stole my dog and I was very upset.
One Chinese man came and told me not to cry because something bad was coming to my household
and the dog took it away.
I don't remember this story but through the letters I wrote my Mother,
I now know more than I remembered.
Astonishing !

Precious Heart

I always loved animals and it is for this reason none of our food scraps
ever ended up in the garbage or the garburator.
There was always someone to eat it.

Dogs are the best garburators and they get their fill of carrots potatoes and peas.
One of our dogs waited for his two pieces of toast every morning.
My parents also liked the black breads and breads full of grains. They are heavy kind of breads.
We also had the best rye bread where we lived.
Toasted?  mmmmm.

My parents would sit at the table and cut up his 2 buttered pieces into fours and feed them one by one.
He knew when his four pieces were eaten up and then he'd be happy and go lie down.
But he also knew if he was short changed too lol You couldn't fool him lol

The dogs also liked left over warm soup being poured over their dog food and they were all strong healthy dogs.

Vets always frown when you say you feed dogs people food. To me the only good reason to do this is for when you travel. So much easier with dry dog pebbles. But some dogs can only eat dry dog food or get the runs. This is where the heinz 57 are much better than pure bred dogs. They eat everything and have less problems.

One story was a funny one.
My husbands sister took her dog to the vet often. This dog ate bread and cheese his whole life.
When she told the vet this, she always got a lecture so one day she told him she took his advice and now the dog ate the best brand dog food at $18.00 dollars a bag and suddenly his fur became nicer and he looked in much better condition according to the vet. lol
Of course it wasn't true. The dog hated dog food and ate only bread and cheese and lived to be 18.lol

Over all, through time, I always loved the idea of recycling and we now have 3 garbage cans.
One for garbage like all the plastic bags and styrofoam we can"t seem to avoid not buying
another for recyclable cans bottles juice boxes and another for organics like the leaves you rake.

At first I thought my God, what a bother and more dirt to clean because these cans have to be cleaned but then I realized any organics can be wrapped up in paper and really they should be put into a
box outside and let the worms turn it into good soil for the garden. I should get to it and put a few outside
I some how never liked the garburator and the idea all this was going into some waterway.
It can be reused on your own property.

Well today I have socks to match. I have so many single socks and have been spending the last week trying to find the other socks. Today I found a bag full of single socks so maybe they will match the ones I have already collected lol Soccer socks collect over the years. Nice long socks which they change along with the uniform. So now unworn, maybe my husband can wear them if my son doesn't. As you age, parents get the hand me downs from these now bigger fussier kids. lol

Precious Christmas

Precious is celebrating Christmas on top of the Piano
Seems she found a friend to celebrate it with her.
It would have  been a perfect picture if both her eyes came out but one seems
to be fuzzed out by the flash in the camera.
Precious is such a private skittish cat.
She gives love on her own terms when no one is around.
When there is lots of activity, she prefers, like a nun,
to go find a quiet spot away from everything, curl up and snooze.
The picture in the back I like to call my honey moon
because we walked on just such a beach looking at the same sky.

The painting is signed Wilson
Just Wilson so we don't know who the painter is. \
There are so many painters named Wilson.
It's old now.

House Squeaks?

Does you house Squeak?
Seems when I walk on the floors of my house, they have this irritating squeak.
You try not to step in those places and walk around them but this is not so easy to do.
Here is Garfield with a squeak Problem .
The look in his eye says it all lol

Where Have All The Seagulls Gone?

We search for them and wonder where have they all gone?
Once the seaside was full of them and now we just see the odd few.

Well the city dump is where you will find them.
Dozens of them.
TONS of them!
A whole sea of birds seemingly floating on your leftovers,
Gorging themselves fat, for the cold winter.

These are strong heavy birds surviving on germs.
These germs is what we kill every day trying to keep ourselves healthy.

Makes you wonder doesn't it?
As of yet I haven' seen one sick bird.

Good Ideas Then and Now.

I think people could still use a machine such as this...... if it worked.
lol
-----------------------------
Well, I don't know about Black Friday Sales either.

Maybe it's ok for clothes and accessories but even then they sell you old stock and the material tears as soon as it's washed. Like wool sweaters for instance. Last year I bought 4 of them because they were lambs wool and they all have holes after being worn only a very short time.

When it comes to electronic stuff, it's even worse.
People were sleeping in tents in long lineups, in the freezing cold and rain since Tuesday, waiting for the few special advertised items like TVs. How many days of work did they miss to save a few dollars? and how much wear and tear and gas did they need to save a few dollars?
The stores, knowing how many people would show up to buy them, had little stock. It would have been fairer and nicer to hold a lottery on these items rather than have people risking their health for something they had no chance to buy. But the advertising was fantastic!

Wow! Look what we have for you , for this price. Come buy it!
Well I'd say if you didn't have it for me, it was false advertising. lol

While supplies last they say but  what are they talking about in terms of supplies.?
They never list how many of the items they had in stock. If they had said 15, it wouldn't warrant sleeping at the store three days for an item by 500 people. They would return to buy other things anyway.

Even kids from Canada crossed the border for the all night shopping, only to come home cold and disappointed.
They had to wait 6 hours for a TV that was out of stock so then they went and got a few sports shirts and drove through wind and rain , risking an accident, to get home again.

Even car pooling is not a solution, when you count the pros and cons, to even think about going to these Black Friday Sales. That's a car full of people driving for sales of electronic items, stores don't have.

It was a learning experience for the kids for sure .
I don't think they will do it again.lol

Good Ideas then and now........if they worked.
As always, it pays to be wary.

Always A Good Day

With these animals to make you laugh, one doesn;t have to ask why people keep them.
Each comes with a character.

I love the one with the dog and the hind leg trying to steal his bone.
Can you imagine?
What goes on in that dogs head? lol

A Dilemma For Sure

The night before the election, Mitt was very over confident to win.
He told his wife, Ann, "this time tomorrow night,  honey,
you'll be sleeping with
the President of the United States".

It was close but not good enough.

Mitt had to face making a concession speech.
Disappointed and  tired,
Husband and wife headed for the bedchamber.

Ann was getting undressed when she asked, "so how does this work?
Is Barack coming over here or
Am I supposed to go over there???

Adams

Patch Adams is a real guy and he had free hospitals before Obama Care.
---------------------------------
 Golf Membership Application:
An elderly Scottish Jew decided to slow down and take up golf, so he
applied for membership at the local club.

After a week he received a message that his application has been
rejected. He went to the club to enquire why.
Secretary: You are aware that this is a Scottish golf club?
Scot: Aye, but I am as Scottish as you are, MacTavish.
Secretary: This means that on formal occasions we wear the kilt.
Scot: Aye, so do I.
Secretary: You are aware that we wear nothing under the kilt?
Scot: Aye, neither do I.
Secretary: But you are a Jew?
Scot: Aye, I be that.
Secretary: So you are circumcised?
Scot: Aye, I be that, too.
Secretary: I am terribly sorry, but the members just would not feel
comfortable with that.
Scot: Ach, away with ya, man. I know that you have to be a
Protestant to march with the Orangemen.
And I know that you have to be a Catholic to join the Knights of
Columbus, but this is the first time I've heard that you have to be
a complete prick to join a golf club.

Spare Wheel

1] Prayer is not a "spare wheel" that you pull out when in trouble, but it is a "steering wheel" that directs the right path throughout the journey.

2] So why is a Car's WINDSHIELD so large & the Rear View Mirror so small? Because our PAST is not as important as our FUTURE. So, Look Ahead and Move on.

3] Friendship is like a BOOK. It takes a few minutes to burn, but it takes years to write.

4] All things in life are temporary. If going well, enjoy it, they will not last forever. If going wrong, don't worry, they can't last long either.

5] Old Friends are Gold! New Friends are Diamond! If you get a Diamond, don't forget the Gold! Because to hold a Diamond, you always need a Base of Gold!

6] Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, GOD smiles from above and says, "Relax, sweetheart, it's just a bend, not the end!

7] When GOD solves your problems, you have faith in HIS abilities; when GOD doesn't solve your problems HE has faith in your abilities.

8] A blind person asked St. Anthony: "Can there be anything worse than losing eye sight?" He replied: "Yes, losing your vision!"

9] When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them, and sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you.

10] WORRYING does not take away tomorrow's TROUBLES, it takes away today's PEACE.

And One Day they Are All Grown Up

Little boys grow up overnight into little men.
As you come into their room to kiss them softly,
you watch them smile, dreaming about soccer, baseball and the
little girl who gave them a coquettish glance.
They dream about rough housing with the guys
and pulling pranks on the teacher .
The old, faithful dog
lifts its' nose up, to give you a sleepy gaze and a little wag of a tail.
You give it a tender pat and it drops back to sleep
curled by a young mans' feet , also dreaming about the ball game he had with his favorite
team mate, called boy.
It's been a full day but a day
where you feel full and satisfied
doing the most important job of all,
Being a Mom.

Collections That Grow Every Year.

Every Year a new doll adds to my collection.
My boys always know what to get me and it will always
bring a smile to my face.
Every year they come out to decorate the room but I don't
take them out of their boxes.
I keep saying one day I will have a grand child to
give them to and I already do but she is sooo far away.
Anyway they are not to play with because they are very delicate
They are just  to look at and adore and keep as a collection.
Every year they come up with new stuffed toys
Like, I still have Alf from way back when my first son was 5.
It's ice to bring him out at Christmas.
I still havent found him yet.lol
For a five years I had a train set riding on a green turf carpet
on a ply wood board.
It was fascinating to watch it  and we added houses and
cars to make it even more spectacular.
You never get tired of watching a train go round and round.
 Life is about movement.

Childrens World.

A childs world will never change
Gingerbread houses Angels
The old Grinch who stole Christmas Sleigh dogs and
horses.
The other day I opened a box and inside was the ol stuffed
shepherd that used to sleep on my sons bed.
I was surprised to see it.
You see opening up boxes like this, not knowing what's inside, is a bit like Christmas lol
I was going to put him back in but my son saw it and
took it out and put it on the couch.
He remembered Past Christmases when all these stuffed animals were
 put out to greet Santa
from his work shop as he came to see them
on the special night of all nights.
I guess the little child remains in all of us and
The jolly old elf  never forgets his old friends
as  he drinks his milk and cookies.

Hope you have a pleasant day with your memories.

Christmas Collection

It's gettin to that time of year again
when we begin siftin sortin and dustin through all the boxes and
all the memories that come along with the job.
My how time does fly.
Where did it all go?
Now we just have pictures to remind us
of the cheery little rosy
faces and the love of family and friends.

I'm busy going through all these boxes
little bits and pieces of the past
which now have to be pieced together
for each child to see his life , growing up.

Yes its come to that time when parents
have to do this sort of thing.
I never thought the day would come
when it would be my turn to do this.

Every picture I look at makes me grateful I still have a picture to look at
and feel sad for so many out there who have lost such irreplaceable
moments of their lives captured in shots which can only be taken once in a lifetime.
The only way to recoup them is if you shared them with someone who still has them
to share back with you.

Hope you have a safe peaceful day.

Old vs New

Now I have always loved Bill Cosby since I was a little girl.
I thought he was always funny and his clowning around was always clean.
He has such a nice smile and reminds me so much of my friends' Mother.
When I buried my Mom, the woman lying next to her, was a younger woman of color,
with the same last name as my friend.
I always wonder if there is a connection.
 Life is funny sometimes.

My friend had a problem at home. Her Dad had brain cancer and he sat at home waiting to die,
while the Mom, a nurse, went to work every day.
My friend had an older brother and  sister.
The older sister married and moved to LA
She was very nice, like the Mom
The brother however was color conscious and he had problems being cool so we were friendly but never friends. I don't think he had very many friends.
Once he was walking down the other side of the street and saw me, and for no reason, used a sling shot with a rock, that just missed my eye. I never saw it coming as it whizzed by my face. I turned and saw him and began to chase him down the street just enough to be able to push him and he fell face down into a huge puddle. His glasses flew and he got up angry as heck.
My Mother saw the whole thing and came outside. He went to her and began complaining about what I did to him and she told him what he did was not very nice. You never hurt girls.
No one likes to be a friend with some one who has a tick on his shoulder but his sister and I got along swell.
That's not to say we never fought or disagreed but it was just normal kid stuff and we were always friends the next day.
She loved sewing her own jeans and this was always something for us to discuss because they had to fit just so. Mine had to be loose and hers had to dig in tight, for the perfect look.
But then we parted ways as she liked to party and go to clubs and I didn't.
She was more into boys and I was more into dogs.lol
My friends told me I was hopeless.

One day I was walking with another friend and she turned and said to me:
 "Wow! Did you see that?"
I said
"Ya. Wasn't that dog gorgeous?"
She turned to me in disbelief and asked.
"What dog?  Didn't you see the guy?"
I gave her a blank stare. "What guy? Didn't you see the dog?"
" Boy! You're hopeless." she said and we both laughed.
But I was left thinking, what the heck just happened?
How come she didn't see the dog?

We grew up never seeing color. We were just kids hanging.
I have to say, I loved my friends' Mother.
When she smiled, she lit up the whole world
and Bill Cosby has the same kind of open natural smile.
He is a role model, with a lot of good things to teach for people to learn from.
But even good people have trials and tribulations as his own son was killed,
when he was trying to change a tire on the highway.
This sort of thing always makes you question God's will.
Why do good people have to have bad things happen to them?
Is it to make them bitter, hateful, spiteful? Was it God who did this?
Was this was the work of the devil to hurt a good man so he turns to the dark side?
We will never know.
In life today we see the devils' work every where. Even answering your phone is not an option today
and lawyers have become the devils advocate especially when they go in using law instead of good judgement to discover truth and justice to do the right thing.
Who needs law at this rate? One can call it law while another can call it anarchy because there is always a loop hole to get around the law, especially contract law.

And as for judges, they are just as bad. They see the same cases every day and they know full well
that good people are victims of people who use the law in a bad unjust way, and they do nothing about it
to close the loophole, so others don't get hurt the same way. The courts are so overwhelmed with cases which shouldn't be there, one has to think, this is all very very wrong.
You don't raise a good society this way .
You raise a society full of hate and spite because you can't win ........being good and just.

Todays' comedians have a lot to learn from Bill Cosby, to joke, without being offensive.
To teach, while making people laugh .
When I compare Cosby to say another very popular actor, Chris Rock, my Bill will always win
hands down.I like his style and way of being.

The above video made me laugh so much because he told the truth. I never noticed that there were different kind of drunks lol But he separated them very well. lol
In the end, he explained why people drink.
It is to get a reward to visit the toilet bowl...... to barf.

You'd think people had better things to work and live for wouldn't you?

CONGRATULATIONS MR PRESIDENT!!

The people have spoken and President Obama has been reelected to serve
4 more years.
His victory speech was outstanding and made every American proud
to be a part of this great united country.
John Kennedy couldn't have said it better.
`
Congratulations Mr Obama on a job well done!

Now, like Rumplstilskin, comes the huge job to
spin straw into gold. lol

Governor Romney ran a great campaign.
He gave a humble, gracious speech agreeing
Americans have chosen the route they want to follow.
Now it's up to the Democratic party to sit down and decide what the right
and best thing is , for All Americans.

I have to say, all  this took such a long time that now the elections are over,
people can be relieved and calm down from all this pressure, to make the right decision.

TO

 PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA.

May God bless him and the United States of America!!

Iraqi Memorial Statue

This is interesting and feels good to know someone loves
freedom fighters and recognizes the effort and lives put in,
by good men and women, because they care about human rights and people,
as opposed to borders and land.

The artist Kalat, is Iraqi.
I got this picture in an email.
I did not check it out with snopes
so take it how you will. lol
I'm just passing it on.

If I were God, the creator
I would make laws to protect my creation.
and
If my creations were inanimate things
Maybe I would succeed and be surrounded by things I love
which I would dust every day with love.

But Gods' creations are living, changing things.
They were given brains to learn survival skills
These skills are used in different ways
Some with cunning
Some for justice
Some for hate
and
Some for love

Every brain, different and fixated to survive.
Every life, desiring more life
If I were God the creator, I'd understand
That my laws were futile
If mankind didn't understand their purpose.

If I were God, the creator
My laws would be forgiving laws
My laws would be loving laws and
My hand would be gentle and caressing so
My creation could grow, mature and learn.

If I were the creator,
I would dust every day with
 Love

One Pair of Hands Has My Faith

This is such a beautiful song and so inspirational.

Today it is much brighter outside and it makes you feel a lot better.
The street is covered in yellow leaves and looks so pretty.
But it is terrible for the sewers if they fall in.

As the holidays approach, the giant factories in China, are kicking into high gear to provide Canadians/Americans with monstrous piles of cheaply produced goods  merchandise that has been produced at the expense of Canadian labour and that break so fast.

This year will be different.

This year Canadians/Americans will give the gift of genuine concern for other Canadians/Americans.
1) Gift of a haircut/nails/ cuticles

2) Car detailed/washed
3) Gym membership
4) Craft Products supporting  local creative artists/carpenters/designers and charities
5) Oil change

14) Flowers
15) Room Painting
16) Soccer game tickets
17) Hotel outing
18) Baskets filled with local products

BIGGER STRONGER FIERCER

The east coast has suffered a terrible tragedy.
and
Seems it's going to get hit again.
I hope not.

We pray for the children and families .

We pray for the United States of America.

We are approaching Dec. 21st when the planets are supposed to align
and spiritual battles are being fought world wide.
Who will win?
Devil or Angel?

We don't have long to wait to see what happens with the solar flares
and earths magnetic field which protects this planet.
Will it be ok like after the year 2000?

We make so much ado about stupid things in life
overlooking the most important.
Life  Liberty Freedom Health Family Jobs Kindness Love

Nature doesn't care.
It continues to do what it has to do to cleanse ,
to give meaning to those who forget
that we are never in control
as everything is relative.

I sit , like many today do, with a heavy heart,
wishing I could grow larger than life, to defend this beautiful planet.
Wish it were that simple and that we, the people, had a say in the matter.

Not much of a blog today .

Be safe

Chicago Chewies

I got this cutie from my cousin in Chicago from her office window.
The Windy City of Chicago, doesn't scare this little guy who is concentrating
on his chewies and getting ready for the real snow storms to come through.
Seems Lake Michigan had 25 foot waves during  hurricane Sandy but then gusty winds is something
they are used to in that area.
He looks like a Christmas decoration sitting in the pine tree with not a care in the world, so busy with those little fingers.
They are truly Gods' creatures cause God truly does provide
and if not, he takes them to the happy hunting ground where they will always have a full tummy and lots of time to
play.
You have to admire these wild creatures as they  learn tricks to stay alive
in a cemented city, where scraps are hard to come by...or are they? If man followed them, he would learn how to survive.
My cousin loves critters and her yard is full of creatures which come to feed or snooze on cold winter nights.
The wild cats love her as she finds homes for their kittens. She goes out of her way to feed them hot chicken and warm milk especially when they are pregnant.
The coons love her, as do the skunks and birds. She plays Mama to all of them in the city and
they know they have to share and get along and this  is always a surprise to see.

-------------------------------
Now Every one loves love stories and so do I.
There was once a middle aged couple shopping in the mall on Christmas Eve.

As usual husbands always wonder off as they find shopping with women boring

and women always get irked at this cause now they have to look for them instead of shop. lol

Thanks to the mobile phone, which always finds its' man, the wife called him to ask where he was.

Husbands, being the loving fellas they are, always answer with a smile cause, as we all know, they
love  being on a short leash.

"Well honey." he said
Remember that jewelry store, where about 5 years ago, we saw the diamond
ring you loved but we couldn't afford it and I told you I'd get it for you one day?

At the other end the wife was getting choked up and tears filled her eyes.

"Well," he continued in a soft, romantic, voice,
"I'm in the bar next door to it."

 MEN!!!

Walmart in China

Now why is this not surprising, to find exotic food, at a Walmart in China?
I havent checked it with snopes.
It seems they also have a sting ray and a shark as well.
but is it not a fact, they only eat the fins of the shark?

I sit back and ask myself, would I eat this if I had a chance to ?
Would I eat insects, dog meat, cats and horse?
Well, we eat cow, goat and lamb.
I think, if I didn't have to kill it, I would try it once if it were served me,
but it wouldn't be my  preferred type of food.
In fact, the more I think about it, I think
going into the green house business is what I'd be in to.
Nothing like the fresh smell of tomato.

I wonder how much it would cost to run a green house in
winter? I know we get a lot of wind during this time of year, if not
solar energy from the sun.
Taking water from a fish tank is great for vegetation growth.
I used this water for my flowers and they bloomed like crazy.
So growing fish in a green house pool and then using the water
for plants, replacing it with clean, cold water, is great for both fish and a green house.
I know it is cheap and fun, for the fish farms to get 10,000 trout fry in a tank ,
which they raise in long trough like containers.
Once they grow a bit, they push them out into a deeper trough and then a deeper one,
until they can push them into a pond. Then people come and fish them.
There is nothing like taking your kids fishing and seeing them
rejoice in catching a fish, which they do, over and over again.

They require no license and you pay for the fish by the pound.
The fish farmer feeds them grain, like what we would eat at the table
and the fish become so friendly when they hear him whistling.
They know it's chow time.

I am constantly amazed when I look at these solar panels and
how they absorb energy, even in cloudy weather.
Montreal has cold weather and the Botanical Gardens doesn't seem to be
any worse for wear, so I think it's feasable to run a back yard
green house.
Just writing about it gives me a good feeling inside.

BC Pipeline Risk

When it comes to the BC Pipeline from Alberta, this is what we have to examine.
Seismic Hazards on our Western Coast.
We are not as safe as we think we are as the coast line shows us.
It is not only the East Coast that's at risk with hurricanes, earthquakes and floods.
What is not taken into consideration where weather is concerned ,
is that the
magnetic field has deviated 15 degrees from the North pole and
this should result in changes
in the ocean currents, the fact that we had fish disappearing from our coasts, and wind , not to mention
the ice melting.
When fish disappear, it's the same as the skies being devoid of birds.
Something is going on somewhere and we should pay attention.

Volcanoes result in fertile land but oil spillage results in land that loses value.
Even cleaned, it will always be listed as contaminated land.

This western coast line, is something no one on earth can contain if something happens and
we are overdue for the big one.

The province also wanted to put a nuclear power plant on a BC island (TEXADA?)where legend has it,
will go back down into the ocean, leaving many to die, from a melt down, like in Japan.

Texada was used for copper mining and also, during US prohibition times, sent hooch to the US.lol

BC is only 6 hours away from a Washington State Nuclear Power plant close to the city of Hanford.
A melt down would surely affect many Canadians here across the border.

Do we want to risk health, life and land for short term gain?
Is it worth the risk?

It is foretold that each generation of people will get weaker and weaker and everything we do, from things like playing with electricity and magnetism, nuclear power plants, and even things like mammograms
will affect how our people will be able to reproduce in the future.

How is it today, so many women find it hard to get pregnant when women in Africa
are very fertile and produce so many children charities live off, to feed?

Time to clean up our act and learn how to live off of ocean currents, wind and solar power
so life can be beautiful and enjoyable to behold.

P.S.
Another video that's an eye opener
The British PM gave Obama a bust of Churchill and he said he didn't need it and sent it back to Britain on behalf of America and Americans.
Something funny here.
