The Cross and the Crown

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CltrLsjsQl0&list=RDCltrLsjsQl0#t=0
The snow is finally on the ground in all its purity.
How I love to look at it.
Beau's foot prints are seen every where. There is not an inch
that has escaped his  sniffer.
His head covered and his butt stuck full of snow,
he still refuses to come inside where it is warm.
He comes to the door to invite us outside to join him.

An old dog, he still enjoys the freshness of nature and like most of us nature
lovers, feasts on the wonders all around him.
What a gift life is.
What a treasure.
With all the crosses one must bear , the
Crown of life is full and still all around us  .

Bonjour La Vie!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mAtVsA-pes

Paris .... The vibrant city of blue skies, love and romance,
keeps one warm , full and gay.

Here, you can let go of what you are and become what you might be.

No one can save us but ourselves
No one has a right to save us,
for  we each walk that path
alone.
If we walk in peace, we may find true happiness.

What is interesting is that we laugh at Islamists for killing themselves to
obtain a reward of some  9 virgins in heaven but
Christians also believe they will be rewarded with heaven, for living a good life.

Religion teaches us that we are supposed to be good, because it is the right thing to do,
not because there will be a reward in the after life.

If we do things because there is a reward, then we haven't learned anything at all.

If we look back at the Adam and Eve story, God tried to bribe them by telling them that they
live in paradise because they obey and do not eat of the forbidden fruit.
Paradise was a reward for obeying  the only simple command.

Adam and Eve did not understand why they had to obey and saw nothing wrong in what they did.
They were innocents.
They saw nothing wrong because they did not understand.

God in his mercy, saw that they did not understand  the "why" behind the command. He sent them
away and told them that because they did not obey and found it important to understand the reasoning behind his command, he would give them the opportunity to learn and to understand except now instead of just one command, he would give us 10 simple commands.

Today man finds himself in a truly violent world where no one is truly safe and we are no closer to Gods' truth, than we were when Adam and Eve were created.
We sit in judgement of each other pointing fingers fighting wars , killing...and will continue to do so
unless by some miracle or maybe the mercy of God, to show us before it's too late, the truth
or understanding behind his commands.
We are still children playing with toys and our imaginations because we dare not look into Gods' eyes
to try to understand his commandments.
Playing games is easy. What would our lives be without all the games and excuses and lies?
Try not to play them and live by a few rules.
That is really difficult to do.

In the end, this is where our answer lies, in its' simplicity.
God asks no more of his children than we ask of ours when we try to teach them right from wrong.
The kids learn better than the adults until they get "rights"
not to, which means we do not teach our children and they do not learn and the saga of
Adam and Eve, continues.

110 Years of Life

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEXesNXGU2A

Alice Herz Sommer What a beautiful soul!
This is why I always loved old people.
She lived 110 years. If you visit her twitter account
you can listen to her words of wisdom.

https://twitter.com/alicethefilm

Today was pizza day. Made the dough and it turned out great.
Then I worked on my Elf dolls,  painted the faces and made hair.
Tomorrow I hope to begin dressing them.

Listened to the Fergusin story and what a story.
A black young man robs a store and attacks a police man and the
city is up at arms because the policeman was white.

Well I am not black and also was a young woman driving late at
night (50 years ago) and was stopped in the middle f no where
by a police car. Two officers stepped out of their car and approached
one form each side of the car with their hands on their holsters
I thought Shit! Am I in deep shit.!
They asked me why I was out late at night (11:30) and for my license
and registration . I did as I was told and then they let me go.

I was shaking the whole way home and mad as hell.
Things that went through my mind, like what if they were not real policemen?
What if they were bad policemen?
I would be found in a ditch whether I stopped or not.

I was not so mad that they stopped me or that they were afraid of me,
as much as I was upset that they stopped me in a dark area with no one else around.
They could have followed me a bit to a better place to stop me
especially if they had no reason to.

Things havent changed much except that today the young people are rude arrogant
disrespectful foul mouthed and don't know how to handle all this freedom they have.
They also have no one to rein them in which makes it even harder for
the police to do their job. They don't get paid enough to die because of someone
 who is high or crazy.

Kids are getting shot but it's a little too late to cry after the fact.
Maybe the police should be told to shoot at legs and be issued pellet guns
which spread so it is easier to get hit by but are not so lethal .
As for the public... well they have to work together to stop drugs and the rein in children.
Just because they are 18 or 21, doesn;t mean they know everything.
Even old people today are not safe, because you just never know what's on the mind of the next person you meet on the street.
You never felt like this before when people were raised in the church.
People were all on the same page to do good.

People like Alice are so rare. She went through hell and came out the better for it.

Other Worlds.

                                                                  http://sun-surfer.com/tag/norway

If you think Sweden is something, Norway is even more
exotic to the eye with its' fiords mountains churches, midnight sun,
and grass covered remote homes.

It is no wonder since Norway is found right off the Atlantic ocean
cleverly attaching itself to Sweden as a peninsula
that looks like a forked tongue.
In Oslo one can take a tour on a double decker bus.
Then there is minke, pilot, humpback and orca sperm whale watching.
 rock climbing.sailing, dog running.
Norway is famous for shopping for cute trolls and norwegian sweaters
 sea food and rain.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhKS8u373AY

I love flea markets.
In the above video people don't have to be covered from head to toe.

If you like buildings, there is a rich history of fighting heritage found here
and plenty of space to park a boat in but for me it is the beauty one can lose oneself in,
traveling up the fiords.

Today I decided to finally make yeast dough. I hate doing it cause you can't rely on the yeast.
They sell dead yeast. Then there is all the mess from the flour.
Well today the yeast worked and the dough is rising.

So I made the rice and cooked the mince meat with onions garlic and mushrooms and in it went
with the rice and now everything is cooling waiting to stuff the pyroshky.
The pyroshky they sell in the store are really called varenyky. You eat them with
sour creme and fried onions.
The ones I am making you stuff and wait till they rise a bit and then you deep fry them.
They are excellent snack food and for kids to take to school instead of sandwiches.

I also made cabbage soup which came out great and a pan of lamb chops with potato and
cauliflour.which my son gobbled up when he got home from school.
Nice to be young. We can't eat like that anymore . lol God Bless him.

It is such a depressing day with nothing but rain.
Even the dog doesn't need convincing to come inside.lol
Usually that is hard to do.

Holiday Spirit

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xspg4ZYBQgg&list=RDxspg4ZYBQgg#t=310

Gosh This guy put so much meaning into many a girls heart in his time.
All his songs were so nice and still nice to listen to as you work.

I decided to try my hand with clay.
Got some Crayola air dry clay for 3. 00 at Walmart
(same kind of clay at Michaels is 11.99)

I got upset with Michaels. First they are no help at all when it comes to knowing
their products or even showing you where they are in the store. The employees are young girls and don't do crafts.
They have so much stuff and you don't have the whole day to sift through the store.
Then they are so expensive but people dont seem to care that next door, what they pay 30.00
dollars for at Michaels , they can get for under 3.00 at the Dollar store. The Dollar store has so much nice stuff . I got 3 wreaths for 1.50 a piece Beats the sale at Michaels for 7.99.

I got 4 nice elves out of the clay (about 10 inches long) and made Mary Joseph and baby Jesus
in a cradle for under my tree.
They are all drying.
So guess I have to get more clay to make the stable now but for three bucks for so many things
who is complaining. I might make a whole village and then get the animals at the dollar store.
Will be something different for Christmas. If only I could find the train set to put in the village.
Kids do have their uses lol You collect so many things and they are all in boxes somewhere.
Old toys are excellent to display under the tree on Christmas.

I was so excited to put my own home made eyes into my clay elves . Their
legs bend so they can sit in many positions and the arms go up and down.
If I succeed in painting them I have felt to dress the elves in.
This is my first attempt at doll making so now I can say I have a very good idea how to do it
and next time they will be done even better.

Christmas this year will have some home made stuff to display.
Last year we made Ginger bread houses but after Christmas no one eats them and they collect dust.
I think the dogs got some but all this is not good for them.

When my husband saw the Elves he was elated. He said gosh you have a whole collection. lol
As usual I get carried away.Thing is I don't have Elves so this will be something new.

Slowly I am getting into the painting part. Once the paints come out I might paint the bulbs I have
and then maybe get into painting again on canvas.

Life Is As Simple as Truth

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_WYLNVSE3U&list=PLT6TY7eRibNxmCm-s_DtWfzYwQPQIxYmQ

This morning we woke up to water again as it began to rain.
Water always sounds so nice.
Puppies seem to have their own shedule and Bella keeps bringing me stuff and whining to be played with. You have to stop everything just to please and console her.
These Havanese are like real children.
I found out they are not jumpers. I took sleeves off my old sweater and put them through the top of the neck line on their collars and they now have little blankets that keep them warm especially when
they go outside for pee time. They look like twins except one is white and one is black. lol

Seems the whole world is at war. Countries are all in each others business and it is not promoting peace.
In Afghanistan a 3 year old was raped. Many girls are victim to men who are bred to believe
they are IT.
In reality they are cowards who fear women and maybe even real life which entails enlightenment and progress.
When it comes to life, women are it. Men are raised at their skirts.
This is why women are loved and protected by men so they can love and protect the innocent.
Abused women have abused children who cannot be nurtured properly by Mothers who have no
love, joy, and light in their eyes.
This is why men are required to be gentlemen and womens' lib doesn't change this,
All it does is empower women against men who are not gentlemen and this is a good thing.

Ephesians 2:1-10

And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—

In spite of Christ dying on the cross, men continue to be sons of disobedience. They make up their own unjust laws without the guidance provided them in the 10 Commandments thus creating mazes to be forever lost in.

Truth is simple and life should also be simple in the things that matter.

Monkey of Weather.

Oh the weather out there is frightful and the fire is so
delightful and since we have no where to go
Let it snow let it snow let it snow.

Toronto has always had this dry cold that goes through
all your clothing but even it is complaining about
this recent cold streak . Here in BC its also cold albeit it
without all this snow we see in Buffalo and New York.
Monkey of a weather .
One doesn't know what to make of it.

But I remember opening up the front door in Montreal
to a wall of about 5 feet of snow. It was so exciting!
We'd put on our boots and go out to play and shovel.
I don't remember anyone complaining. It was a chance
to meet your neighbors, wave, say hello and help out.
Our fingers were frozen and our cheeks were rosy but spirits
were always high.

Snow was a part of our life and if you couldn't clean the street
you'd walk to the bus stop to go to work cause the main streets
were looked after well, and we'd let the bus worry about
getting you to work.lol

Snow ball fun was always in the midst of it all. And what better way
to clean up snow than rolling out snow men.
Beats using a shovel any day.
Every street with kids was full of  snow forts with holes to peak out of
and hide in to have a nice snack in.
and if you had snow this means the park rinks were open and we
walked there and back in our skates to those.
Life was simple and fun. We took things as they came and over
came hard ships without much of a to do and if we knew some old people lived
next door we'd help them out as well.

Nights were the best time of all to enjoy this gift from the heavens
since all this whiteness turned into a wonderland of glossy hard heavy
snow. It was an unforgettable sight and so enjoyable to behold.

My parents always fed the birds since it was impossible for them to get anything
in winter otherwise and we did not have to go far to see little feet
that pitter pattered all around the food dish. They left traces which led us to dream
that fairies lived under the bushes and in trees of our neighborhood.
All Gods' wonder was alive and well and cleansed by this  gift of snow, which
later melted and swept away layers of history we did not need to remind us
of the bad things that happened that year.
It all began fresh and young with the New Year.

So I always loved the changing seasons and looked forward to them all.
They made sense of life where it was clear that there really is a time under heaven

Ecclesiastes 3

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Everything is set up so beautifully and eternal in the human heart and soul.
It makes what ever comes , so meaningful joyful and painful so as to
make every moment worth seeing, knowing and living .
This is why all life is so precious and must be given the greatest honor.

The Monkey knows. lol

Days of Grace and Thanksgiving

2 Corinthians 4:15-16

All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
 --------------------------------------
How great would the world be if the news on TV was not about fear and violence but about giving thanks for a great day. People make all the difference.
Two men were beheaded and the parents said they forgave the sinners because they did not want to carry a life full of  hate. So they put on brave faces but at home tears will shed knowing the horror of it all.
How do you live with this sort of thing going on?
How do criminals think religion gives them the right to do what they do?

It just shows how important education is, knowing violence is done due to archaic beliefs and hate begot from ignorance. And such HATE as would make a man feel proud to torture and kill innocent people in the name of God.

People, living in another world, with other traditions have no guilt because this is how it is with them . They have no other solutions or answers to their problems and losing power over their followers because of education, is something they cannot cope or compete with.

In our society we feel we have come a long way but people here are beheaded financially as opposed to actual beheading. How do you control people? You control through finance and those in power make good use of changing the rules of finance all the time to suit themselves.

The world of finance affects everything in life near and dear to us all.
These people, who kill spirits and souls have no guilt either.
They can sleep at night and not worry that they hurt a family with children, over money and products that did not belong to them.
They sit at the table giving thanks to the Lord, to be able to overpower and control the innocent, who spend all their time at work, to produce something of value so they can buy a home and raise a family.
This middle class is sought after because they have no time to investigate what Finance is doing. They are easy to affect.

 Truth however never changes.

Today people are fighting back by dealing in cash and staying away from these legal thieves and the more they do this, the more the guilty will squirm, lose and hate.

They will lose control and fall victim to the same evil they promote to the working middle class.--

If there is one thing both the archaic world and the modern world of Finance cannot tolerate , it is truth.
Throughout time, truth discloses that there is no such thing as credit, for it gives birth to hate and mistrust.
You have a dollar, you spend a dollar.
You give a gift, it is a gift and to be forgotten.
You get a gift, you either remember to be beholden to the giver as times get better, or pass it on to other people in the same need you yourself experienced.

This results in a world of Thanksgiving and this is the world of God and religion man is supposed to understand.
God is not a tyrant as we are led to believe and blame him for.

When we say there is no such thing as morals ethics and values, it is because we are led to process this information on a different plane than the plane God set us on in the beginning. It is to legitimize the guilty to continue doing the bad things they do.

There is nothing wrong in having money. There is a lot of things wrong when people are forced to gamble their lives' savings being told they are buying something, that was never for sale.
There is a lot wrong in obtaining money by false pretenses or illegal/legal force especially when it comes to things like housing or shelter. So many homeless and so many empty houses rotting away, which should not be, and they can't be shared?????

Our government does not protect us from these companies and businesses who see absolutely nothing wrong with what they do.
As a result, they initiate and thrive on the down trodden and the poverty they create through deceit and lies.
Legal or illegal, killing is killing and theft is theft .

So, the next Thanksgiving we have, we should give thanks for the things we do right and good, resulting in traditional family and good food on the table earned through a good days honest labor.

If nothing else, it would make the unrighteous feel undeserving of this holiday every other man woman and child could celebrate every day, as grace is reached by more and more people.

Celibate?

This Chinese dipiction of horses is gorgeous.
I love it hanging in my house.
Day was sunny and not too chilly.
Made rack of lamb and boiled salmon, the soup of which
I poured over rice and string beans .It was delicious.

 ------------------------------------------------------

Corinthians 6:17-20

But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.
 Flee from sexual immorality.
All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price.
Therefore honor God with your body.

People ask: Why do priests stay celibate? Any one who understands religion understands that life as a grown up, consists consists of moral responsibility towards yourself, your family and the society you live in.
They are no longer children and must put their toys away to set an example for others to follow. The Queen of England gave her pledge to do this at a great cost to herself. This is why she gets the respect she earned and deserves today. She is someone to look up to.
The Pope is another such example and Mother Teresa. These people understand that they are united with God in body mind and spirit.
If the body is abused then so is the mind and the spirit. If the spirit is corrupted, then it cannot perform the job it was there to do. If the body is disrespected then so is the mind and spirit. When people decide to marry, they unite/bond their two bodies, minds and spirits into one unit. If one disrespects or abuses their body, then this affects the other and also everything they do together as a unit.
It disrespects the children because you cannot set a good example for them to follow and this then goes into society and schools and affects other families. It is like a disease that cannot be stopped.

Then the evil steps in and tells you this is normal. Hey, life is supposed to be about fun.
Is disease normal?
 Is disease fun?
Ask anyone and the answer they will give you is that they understand that it is not.

In society we have things like religion, the priesthood, marriages and families, so that we can have some form of control over people, so they do not lose their way.
Together every one can have good clean fun, without hurting the body mind and spirit. Each one becomes an institution and if corrupted, then the other parts will have a problem keeping people from losing their way.

Ok we do have governments, laws courts and judges, but they are only as good as the people who they employ. If they are lost people, then they cannot set the examples people need to see growing up and people do need to see this example, or they get lost.

A movie comes to mind: Blast from the Past.
It stars Brendan Frazer and Alicia Silverstone Christopher Walken and Sissy Spacek. It's about this family that lived underground in a shelter to save themselves from the nuclear holocaust when the Cuban Missile Crises began. It didn't take place so they did it for nothing.

They raised a young man who was such a delight. He was every girls dream come true in a man. Smart, polite, ethical, moral, untouched by a world full of society's problems. He did not know pain and suffering, unkindness. His parents were there to teach him and explain the world to him as much as they could.

Now if the world did not like innocent people, no one would have been attracted to this young man. Today it is very hard to find people like this and so if one does find a person like this, they want him/her. This should show the world something. It should show that ethics morals and values are desired things. People raised with them are pure and delightful. They are kind and God fearing. Society makes them our heroes today for doing the right thing because we do not have enough people who do.
When your body is a temple, so is the mind and the spirit. Corrupt one...and you corrupt all and become someone you don't even know.
You become someone living for fads instead of someone living to set an example for the world to follow. People who live to set examples, live what is called a life of wisdom and maturity because they know they have something good to offer.
 Something money cannot buy.
It is not an easy life.

The Laws of Psalms

I love small towns that can still do stuff like this if they so wished.
Imagine hooking up your horse to a buggy to go shopping.
Time is never an issue.  Safety is.
It would be a days event to go out, shop, socialize with
the town folk and enjoy the fresh air and sights.

It sure beats the traffic jams people sit in today when they honk and scream
at people cause they have no time to waste.
This is not life.
When people teach you to change, it's not always the best thing to do.

The old adage "go slow, go farther" is still a good one to follow.
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Psalms 1 book 1

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
 nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.

He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its' fruit
in its' season, and its' leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.

The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
 nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
for the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.
 ----------------------------------------------
I read this and what comes to mind is fads.
Fads come and go.
These come in different forms in things like music, fashion, tattoing,
 liberal ideas...
but truth never wavers. It stays the same.
It is not a fad. It is boring but it is also wholesome
and good.
It keeps people strong in body mind and spirit.
People may fight it in law courts and governments
but it cannot be defeated because other ways never work.

Every liberal thing you do, has a price to pay and we just can't depend
on society to be dumped on for ever.
We can't expect house prices to rise forever.
We can't expect taxes to keep going up for ever
We can't expect jobs to last forever, not salaries to keep up
especially when changes take place quicker than we can keep pace with.
Yesterday we went out for dinner and they told us we had to pay in cash cause the machines
were not working. (We think the owner can't pay his bills). He complained that the prices were
increasing and it was hard to run the business. I told him complain to the government.
They have to know. He laughed . Said ya right, like they care. I told him yes they do.
I write about the potatoes we buy. They are expensive, hard to cut, full of black dots and half has to be thrown away. It's unacceptable when prices go up and food has to be thrown out for the rats which seem to be running around these days on city streets.
One got into my garage and ate my poor chinchilla.

As our bodies, minds and spirits rot, so do the off spring that we produce
for they have no strong foundation, no rich soil to grow upon.

We learn quickly that
Blessed is the man who walks not in counsel with the wicked.

Christmas Troika

The famous Troika. A what a delight!
Guess who gets to ride it on a Christmas night!
Santa always needs some helpers and helpers
don't always own deer so with the help of faithful
horses, children wake up to good cheer.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Matthew 6:20
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

This is another nice verse I like because in the end, there is only you and God.
All the collections and worldly treasures do not have to be bought or stolen  or fought over because they are all a part of Gods' house and belong to him, as do we.

It seems outrageous when one considers POWER to be a scary word.
Power over what and over whom?
Every time you cause pain and suffering to others, it always comes back to you.
Every time you spew words of hate, they always come back to you.
Every time you challenge truth and play with words to go around it,
it always comes back to you.
We are arrogant to believe we have power over others. In reality, there is only one power and it never lay with people as one would believe.

Sometimes I don't understand how people think.
How does one go about life stealing, lying, hurting people financially, and still think one is living in Gods' favor because one puts food on the table?
How does one think he/she is a believer in God, when after wearing a cross and crossing oneself every day and tattooing religious images, one goes out drinking, partying, and doing drugs?
How does one believe in God and and live in sin with one or many because it feels good and because someone said it's normal?

Where is the truth?

Where is the lie?

We live in a world whereby we say God will forgive all us sinners.
Well yes, he already did because we keep living, reproducing, advancing.
It is God's hope, as it is ours, that the day will come when we will catch up and reach an understanding. For mankind, to understand, is very important.Nothing good can happen, until each person understands.

It's like we say of an alcoholic, he must reach rock bottom, in order to be saved, rebuilt, because once he reaches rock bottom, he will understand and not do it anymore.
If he is lucky, he can be saved. In many cases it's too late.
Today we speak of liberalism, sex, and freedom in obsessive compulsive ways. We are told these things to be our so called human rights .
And yet... we are also told obsessive/ compulsive people are sick people.
We say fanaticism is a sickness because it consists of obsessive compulsive people. We fight with these issues every day and many are killed over it.
Thus we say do not judge another over the splinter in their eye, when you cannot see the log in yours.

Is our aim in society to raise sickness, depression and disease in the name of human rights and even God ...or to fight it? Should people look to relief found in drugs and alcohol or should they look
to truth for inspiration?
Truth is feared because no one wants to acknowledge their imperfections but why, when no one is perfect?

Our Prime Minister recently let out an anti marijuana ad because marijuana is easily laced with other drugs and let's face it, our kids get into it..
Right away the polls went up saying over 2,000 people are angry at the Prime Minister and only 200 agreed.
How do people think this will all end?
Will it end with strong spirits, minds and bodies?
Where is the truth?

When push comes to shove, we all know the truth and the polls lie.
As it stands right now, all we see is 2000 plus people in Canada, sitting in dark places with moths, rust, corruption and thieves.
God, as usual, has not forsaken us.
He is always waiting for us to do the right thing and when we do, it cannot displease the devil more
and we see him kick and scream and take tantrums like a spoiled child and God expects a lot more
from us. Unlike the angels that were escorted out of heaven, man has a way to come back through
the Son, who sacrificed his own life and body, and gain us time to amend our errors.

The Corner Stone.

From a garden cornerstone a little dwarf
sits and smiles at the world, knowing everything
                         will be ok.

The Cornerstone - Mark 12:1-44
I stand by the cornerstone
I am solid in my stand
Strong of faith in Gods' own son
He who laid this big stone down
It's a marvel to the eye
A test that passed all sense of time
By passing scoffing boasters with no faith and
No foundation to their life
This ol Cornerstone, it rocks
Holds up all truth to love and life
Keeps hope alive for all who trust
In God the Father and the Son.

This ol cornerstone unites
All the corners in our life
And shelters those under its' roof
While others stand alone, aloof.
I stand by this cornerstone and
I am solid where I stand
By the rock of life and faith
Laid by a gentle lamb called truth .

Grammas

Romans 12:21

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Every week I would go after school to the senior citizens home
to give them a whiff of the world outside, they did not see
 much of anymore.

I met Opera singers, teachers, business people, magicians,
lawyers, artists, nurses...... People from every walk of life
were all sitting there without family. If they visited them once
or twice a year, they would bloom, like a budding rose, with joy.

It would be the talk of the town for the next week as they would relate
everything about the dinner they had, the grand children, the son or daughter
they raised. Sometimes the story had to be told many times to those with
alzheimers or by those with alzheimers.lol

There were a few nasty people. People who could not see, who you had to make sure
were included in everything so they didn't feel lost or forgotten.
The sweetest were the diabetics who were always after you for a bit
more to eat at night.
I wasn't supposed to but I didnt begrudge them a little something.
After all, we all would like a little something before bed time.
I met many very sweet people, who came from very loving blessed homes and yet
here they were, throw aways. Families were to busy living their lives to care for them.

I loved working with seniors. I loved to hear their stories and I loved it how their
eyes would light up when you walked in through the door.

"Is that you darling? " they would ask?
Yes....Mrs..... and how are you today?
I'm fine.
Would you like a little tea before bed time?
That would be wonderful darling.

Sometimes the gentlemen would bring me a little something in terms of
pastry which I brought home to my own Gramma.
They were lonely for some normalcy
and kept there because they had kidney liver or heart problems.

Every day, after talking with them and enjoying them,
I would wonder why they were all there?
Why did the family not want them anymore.?
How hard could it be to have them at home?
 It's like having another child.

Mr J was a handy man, a manager of a big firm and he was always looking for something to do.
He carried a piece of paper in his pocket telling him things he needed to remember.
So we would find him pretend things to do and he was happy.

Sometimes we'd have a little singing at night, which always got them into a good mood.
The opera singer made excuses for losing her voice but she said she performed in many places.
and we took her at her word.
Another woman kept losing her son ( who was a doctor and married).
She kept telling us to find him all night long until we found a way to make her proud and
not ask for him to be found.

The job prepared me for my own parents who I never expected to get old and lose.
My Mom especially.
The hardest part is having to say good bye and I was never good at that.

Yesterday I was watching a program on the future when people will never die or live to a good 500 yrs. at least. We read about people on the Bible who did that. Well times are coming back.

With clothing that caught and destroyed potential viruses, to nanobots running around
inside their bodies killing cancers Parkinsons and Alzheimers and special skin cell  spray, that kept you looking young, an 80 year old could immediately look 35  and no job was beyond getting.
Can you imagine having a smart old experienced brain, way ahead of all the kids who think they know everything? Getting a job would be a cinch.

They say all  this is only 20 years away.

Yup ...we are entering another Golden Age of progress.
A day will come when all who passed on, will rise from the dead, as science learns how to regenerate dead cells. It was promised in the Bible by God and here science is telling us that it is possible.
All this was written and now seems will one day come to pass so they are not lies as evil tells us it is.

Until then... let Gramma hold you a little longer, rock you a little more,
tell you another story with a smile she always carries so.

Tell her that you love her, that sooo will make her day.
And Grand dads are no different, they are all the same.

Pink Nosed Deer

This is the next item I made for the tree this year.
It is nice when Christmas trees get new stuff every year.

This is a pink nosed deer and still needs antlers if I can get enough
oomph to make them. lol

Just not in the mood to fuddle duddle.

So hard to get into Christmas this year.

This little deer head took over a week to make and it's a few hour job
and still no antlers lol
I embroidered the eyes.

Christmas is about home made things.
It's to show how much you care about the holiday and
the people around you when they get things that are personal.

So for Jesuss' birthday he will have bunnies and deer this year.
I made a few clay birds and maybe will make a few other things
should I get in to a better mood.

We woke up to an open garage door.
Interesting.

Maybe some kids playing with the remote?
It's easy to do if you know how.
They could open every garage door by just driving by.

I remember my neighbors went on holidays and their garage door
 kept opening and closing.
So I had to call the police. Other wise, if some one was inside,
it would not be wise to be caught there trying to do the right thing.

Have a good one.

Omid from Comedy

This guy Omid Djilali,  from The Mummy, is funny.

He is from England and had his own show.

It sure was cold outside today but the sun came out for a while and it didn't
rain so one could say the day was quite pleasant.

Made a few Christmas decorations  and with the daily chores ,
the day went by quite quickly.
 ---------------------------------------
Why is Santa Claus so jolly? Because he knows where all the naughty girls live.
 -----------------------------------------
It was raining hard and a big puddle had formed in front of an Irish pub.
An old man stood beside the puddle holding a stick with a string on the end and jiggled it up and down in the water. A curious gentleman asked what he was doing.
'Fishing,' replied the old man.
'Poor old fool' thought the gentleman, so he invited the old man to have a drink in the pub.
Feeling he should start some conversation while they were sipping their whisky, the gentleman asked, ‘And how many have you caught?'
'You're the eighth.'
 ------------------------------------------

A surgeon and an architect, both English, were joined by an Irish politician, and all fell to arguing as to whose profession was the oldest.

Said the surgeon, "Eve was made from Adam's rib, and that surely was a surgical operation."

"Maybe," said the architect, "but prior to that, order was created out of chaos, and that was an architectural job."

"Shure now," interrupted the politician, "but somebody created the chaos first."

Joy and Sadness

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mN7LW0Y00kE&list=PLA4552881E0DA737F

Gosh Nov 9 and the arctic winds are blowing in and every one has to
think about bundling up and getting out the winter shovels.
I am sure every one is looking forward to this lol

There is something romantic about snow and for young lovers, sitting by a crackling
fire place, looking out the window,  at the big snow flakes is quite mystical and beautiful.

I am glad our Thanks giving is over but the US is still waiting for the 27th.
so these jokes are for them .

Q: What did the turkey say before it was roasted?
A: Boy! I'm stuffed!

Q: What happened to the Pilgrim who was shot at by an Indian?
A: He had an arrow escape

Q: What does a English turkey say to another English turkey on Thanksgiving morning?
A: To be or not to be roasted, that is the question.

Q: Why do turkeys always go, "gobble, gobble"?
A: Because they never learned good table manners!

We havent visited Tim Hortons in a while and today I told my husband we should drop by
for some of their custard doughnuts So we went out for fresh air and doughnuts
and dropped by Shoppers Drug Mart for some goodies like mustard plaster for my shoulder.
I sleep on it and believe I dislocated it lol
Can you imagine.
As you age, slowly your body begins to fall apart.

Hubby got me a ginger bread metal box full of cookies and I got myself one nice Christmas box
at Super store.
My husband got me Advent Calenders . I am his baby to spoil lol
So my living room table is beginning to collect things for Christmas.

Outside they were selling poppies and we felt patriotic and got 2.
The other night we watched the Restropo out post in Afghanistan and it was quite
sad to see such young boys sitting surrounded by Al Qaida and the Taliban
They are just babies.
You wish you could go out and spank them and tell them to go home.
One boy got half his head blown off and the others were told not to look cause
he went fast. Didn;t know what hit him.
How comforting.:(

Well sleep well. I hope I will after an outing and my mustard plaster. lol

Bunny Christmas

It's been soo windy the last three days and very wet. I don't think
even the Canada Geese are very happy. lol
The wind subsided today but who knows if it will begin again.
We do have lots of rain but not  big winds like what we had for a few days now.

Well I finished two more rabbits. One yellow seen here and one beige.
This is a fun project cause you can use wash cloths or even pot holders
if you wanted to. Or maybe even the squares they sell for quilting.
I think if you stuffed them with round sponges they would be nice for baby baths.
Mine are stuffed with cotton so they are only for decoration or dry cribs lol
I'll have to keep my eyes open for the round sponges.

I am debating if I should make one more bunny so they are three and three.
Then I have to begin painting my 6 bulbs for the tree.
I might stay with the bunny theme.
The tree will be stuffed with rabbits at this rate. lol
Tanya is a ball girl but Bella loves toys so all these things I am making
for her is a dogs dream store.
I made a crochet ball for her and she loves playing with it along with her Teddy Bear.

I do love elves  and  raggedy annes so I might have a tree filled with elves  and
 raggedy annes one day.
Last year it had all my doilies.and the huge bulbs Target was selling lol

One day I will have tree full of flowers. This is how I learn to do things every year
and so enjoy my accomplishments.
All these collections will end up in a garage sale one day cause kids don't appreciate
all the work you put into things.
I just look at the wonderful things they throw away
at second hand stores. I love to get stuff there for my projects. Its a gold mine and all from
houses of old parents who probably passed on.
Every time I see things (I cherish) being thrown away, I shake my head wondering why ?
Don't they have family and friends to pass them on to or maybe it really is for charity.
We have a Make a Wish Foundation store here and with all the people it hires, I doubt
there is much to give after all the expenses.Maybe it changed its policy?

Yesterday I tried my hand at making doll eyes. Some came out real nice and will be used.
I can make bunny brooches to hang on the tree and that maybe can be worn when Easter
rolls in.
