Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween to those going out tonight.
Hope you have a lot of safe fun.
The ghosts are waiting and tonight ,
nothing is as it seems .

We have a lot to be thankful for and
can only pray for those suffering
from the weather havoc
of these past days.

I remember the Ice Storm we had in Quebec
where people had no hydro for two weeks.
It was cold outside to say the least.
My Dad had a Franklin stove he used for heating
as well as cooking.
75 dollars invested in wood, went a long way.
I think it is always a good idea to keep a franklin in the house
just for these kind of emergencies.
I never liked gas heating because the pipes rupture and
then you could have a whole block explode.
It is very dangerous .
When people smell fumes, whole city blocks are evacuated until
the problem  is fixed.
It makes a franklin seem easier and safer to deal with.
Had it not been for this franklin, my senior parents
would have suffered a lot.
 Instead they were
having fun, keeping warm and eating well.

Halloween Night

This is one of the things kids will see lit up on Halloween Night
Walmart had a moving black cat I found interesting.
Some people still decorate their yard.
I think I would too if I had kids on my street but it's pretty dead.
For the last three years not one person came to my door.
It's a head ache to go up and down the hill.

In any event it doesn't seem fitting to celebrate when so many people are in dire straights.
The US is in a mess and people in Canada are also hungry and the need for food banks
has risen to an alarming rate.
They do a wonderful job here in BC filling up boxes.
It's mostly old people and Mothers with kids who show up to collect.
I prefer this sort of group than the charities that collect millions and spend it on advertising rather than give this money to the people.
So much has been given to Haiti and people are still living on the streets.
Criminal really.

WIFE:
When I wrote your name on sand it got washed away.
When I wrote your name in air, the wind blew it away.
Then I decided to write your name on my heart and I got Heart Attack.

HUSBAND:
When God saw I hungered, he delighted me with pizza.

When God saw me thirsty, he provided Pepsi.
When he saw me blind in the darkness, he created light.
And when he saw me carefree and happy, he created YOU.

Rain makes all things beautiful.
The grass and flowers bloom.
If rain makes all things beautiful

I wish it would rain on you?

Places to Visit.

I have visited many places, but I've never been in Cahoots.
Cahoots is a place you frequent with a partner to cahoot with

I've also have never been in Cognito.

I'm almost invisible there

I have been in Sane though.

They don't have an airport so you have to drive or bus it
I  made several trips in fact, because of children, friends, family and work.

I would like to visit  Conclusions, but you have to jump a lot, and

I'm not not really up to it

I have also been in Doubt.

That is a sad place to go and very confusing

I've been in Flexible

It's a pretty rigid place

Sometimes I'm in Capable,

and as I get older, well I seem to visit it more often.

One of the greatest places to be is in Suspense!

Woah ! Does the adrenalin flow and pump up the old heart there!
At my age, I need a few thrills.

I may have been in Continent.

I don't remember when or why.  It's an age thing.
It's very wet and damp there.

I have to check my itinerary and see what other places I've been in.
I know they were as enjoyable as all my visits usually are.

Hope you have a nice day :)

Barack O

This is very good. lol

At 13 This little girl has a very good political future.

The weather is unbelievable these days. Hurricane in the east and earthquake in the west. So many people affected and nothing cane be done about it. In movies they say to blow up the hurricane so it stops. Why isn't this tried on this hurricane to stop it from doing so much damage.Instead they let it run its course. We are expecting the big one here in BC any time now because we get one every 400 years. So what's it waiting for? Maybe half of BC is supposed to go under water since they get quakes all the way in the interior to Princeton. All shocking stuff. Hope you all keep safe and sound. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Easy To Wear Leather

I love this leather top piece.
It's very stylish. You can wear it over anythng and it keeps that part of the body
secure and warm. You always have to keep your kidneys warm my Mom taught.lol

The senior citizens' centre had social night.
First they sang songs, led by Alice at the piano
Then it was time for the Star of the Show-
Claude the Hypnotist!
Claude exclaimed he was going to put the whole
 audience into a trance.
"Yes, ALL of you , at the SAME time." said Claude.
He got every ones' attention and then
carefully took out a watch and chain
from his waistcoat pocket

"I want you to keep your eyes on
this watch" said Claude,
as he held the watch high for all to see.
"It is a very special and valuable and has been in my
family for six generations"
He began to swing the watch gently back and
forth while quietly chanting
"Watch the watch --- Watch the watch ----
 Watch the watch"
The audience watched it closely, swaying back and forth.
The lights twinkling as they were reflected from its' gleaming surfaces.
A hundred and fifty pairs of eyes followed the watchs'
 movements back and forth.
And then,
Suddenly,
The chain broke!!!
The golden watch fell to the floor and burst apart on impact"
"SHIT" said Claude.
It took them three days to clean the Senior Citizens' Centre
And Claude was never invited to entertain again !

What pretty wrist bangles.
They brighten an otherwise dull depressing day.
------------------

1.  How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator?

Answer:  Open the refrigerator, put in the giraffe, and close the door.
Not complicated.

2  How do you put an elephant into a refrigerator?

Did  you say, Open the refrigerator, put in the  elephant, and close the  refrigerator?

A HA! Wrong!.

Answer: Open the refrigerator, TAKE OUT THE GIRAFF, AND THEN put in  the elephant . This

3.  The Lion King is hosting an animal conference AND  All the animals

Attend  .... Except one.   Which animal does not attend?

Answer : The Elephant. The elephant is in the refrigerator. You just put him in there.   This WAS A MEMORY test.

4.  There is a river you must cross but it is used  by crocodiles, and

You  don't have a boat so how do you manage ?

Answer:? Jump into the river and swim across.
All the crocodiles are attending the Animal Meeting.
This test was to observe if you learn quickly from your mistakes.

Anderson  Consulting Worldwide, claims  around 90% of the
Professionals they tested got all questions wrong, but many preschoolers got several right. Anderson  Consulting says this conclusively proves the theory that most professionals do not have the brains of a four-year-old.

Now that should make you feel much better lol

Reflections

If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee. Better than nothing Goes to show people are full of hot air. lol

If you farted  for 6 years and 9 months, you'd have enough gas  to explode with the energy of an atomic bomb.
Again. People are full of hot air lol
The human heart creates enough pressure when it pumps in the body, to squirt blood 30 feet.
Especially with high blood pressure lol

Pigs have 30 minute orgasms.
Woah! That's a heart attack waiting to happen.

Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories an hour.
We'll call it brain drain.

The poor male praying mantis loses its' head in sexual activity
The female invites him into her boudoir and then rips his  head off.
Honey, I'm home . What the...?

A flea can jump 350 times its body length,
equivalent to a human jumping the length of a football field.
30 minutes. Lucky pig!

The catfish has over 27,000 taste buds.
Must be very fertile from feeding off the pond bottom

Some lions can mate 50 times a day.
But the  pig has quality over quantity.

Butterflies taste with their feet.
Their Mothers better have Mr Clean to wash the floors.

The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue.
 bla..blabla.....blabla

Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people.
Ambidextrous? Is your cup half empty or half full?

A cat's urine glows under a black light.
I needed to know that lol

An ostrich's eye is bigger than its' brain.
My ass is bigger than my brain....hmmmm

Starfish have no brains.
but lot's of balls.

Another finished project.
Baby Blanky for Christmas.
The ribbon goes around the holes which make up the tree.
You can't see them very well here but they sure look nice.
There is a bow on top to look like the tree star. It needs a few stitches to keep it open.

Saved By Squash

We know our pioneers have been saved by squash.
It is very easy to grow and lasts a long time.
In those days people had to make a lot of sacrifices for others and
they still do today as Helga's Diary shows.
A DIARY Found ON A CRUISE SHIP
DEAR DIARY - DAY 1
All packed for the cruise -- all my nicest dresses, swimsuits, short sets. I'm so excited!.
Our local Blue Hat Chapter planned this "all-girls" trip.
This is  my first     one, - and I can't wait!
         --------------------------------------------------------------
DEAR DIARY - DAY 2
AHHH! The sea is so beautiful!
  Saw whales and dolphins.
The Captain seems like a very nice man.
He's CUTE!
         --------------------------------------------------------------
DEAR DIARY - DAY 3
Pool, swimming, today as well as shuffleboard and hit golf balls off  the deck.
Got invitation to sit at Captains' table
Felt honored and enjoyed dinner. He is very attractive and attentive.
         ----------------------------------------------------------
DEAR DIARY - DAY 4
Won $800.00 in the ship's casino. Yeay!
Was invited to Captains' Cabin for dinner.
Dinner devine with caviar and champagne.
He asked me but Isaid no to staying the night
I was faithful to my husband.
         --------------------------------------------------------------
DEAR DIARY - DAY 5
Pool again today.
Sunburn.
Sat inside inside and drank at piano-bar all dayday.
Captain saw me, bought  me several large drinks.
Really is quite charming. Again asked me to visit his cabin for the night.
Again I said no.
He told me, if I  did not let him have his way with me, he would sink the ship..
. I was speechless...
         --------------------------------------------------------------
DEAR DIARY - DAY 6
Today I saved 2600 lives.
Thrice.

You Can Be Barbie Too

Girls in Ukraine, to feel better about themselves, recreate themselves to look like Barbie or any other animation they want to be

It is the latest craze and talked about by so many people.

This is crazy. See how it's done.
The painting of the face is superb but I don't know about the other
plastic surgery stuff.
Apparently the men love it.

Babes

In yellow grasses of fall
We find the babes .

Curled, they nest
In soft, warm beds below

Under fires of the trees
We find treasures, gifts of love

Precious eyes of sunset
Golden blessings

 Hidden, waiting for the snow
In the quiet of the night

Let me hide you, from the
howling winds and wolves

Let me cover you
Till it sprouts green of spring

Let me love you, till the dawn of time
Golden blessings
In soft beds below.

New Guys On The Halloween Block

People
They always grin
No matter what you say to them
They never move and stand their ground
Like soldiers, guarding all in sight

In corn fields, you will find them there
Stuffing clothing, blending in.
And you wave but they just smile

Friendly, but not to the crow.
They smile be gone and let us be
In gardens tall.
I wonder what is wrong with them?

Gentlemen??? Please.

Ouch!

lol
I found this video hilarious in a purely educational sense of the word.
I wonder if the chef schools teach this particular menu.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Before Obama was elected President he went to see Bill and Hillary for some campaign advice,
at their spacious home.
After drinking several glasses of iced tea,
he asked Clinton if he could use his personal bathroom.
When he entered the private toilet, he noticed
Clinton had a solid gold urinal!
Wow!
Obama, later, told his wife, about the urinal.
"Just  think," he said, "when I am President, that gold urinal will be mine!"

Later, when Michelle had lunch with Hillary,
she told her how impressed Obama had been with Bills' urinal

That evening, when Bill and Hillary were getting ready for some nooky
 Hillary smiled  coquettishly.
Darling,
"I found out who peed in your saxophone."

Spider Penis Soup Argument

Kids are fun.
Once upon a time my son brought some friends to dinner and I served soup.
One boy saw some little black specks (black pepper) in the soup and asked what they were.
He wasn't a little boy but a big boy, around 16 .
When I asked him what he usually ate at home, he said rice.
Hmmm.
,
We had just finished talking about all the weird foods people eat around the world, like for example in China they ate dogs and monkey brains and in Singapore, penis soup, was a specialty.
When foreigners read it on the menu, they grossed out and complained, which forced the cooks at the hawker centers, to change the name or at least just write it in Chinese so foreigners couldn't read it.

I was surprised he didn't know about black pepper in soups.
So I thought, now is a good time to become the kidnapped guide from the Crocodile Dundee movie and make up a story about my soup, like he did about the local tribes in Australia.

"Oh ."I told him.
"This is a very special soup from Africa , called Spider Penis Soup.
Can you imagine how many poor little spiders died so this soup could be made?
Then they still have to collect all these little penises. They must be huge spiders though to even be able to see these little things."

I could see the boys' face cringe and now, while the other boys were cracking up laughing, I knew he really believed me and wouldn't now eat the soup.
Ok some could see this as mean or out of place but guys come up with a lot worse than this and being in a house full of men, it's not that weird to come up with this story.
I tried hard to keep a straight face and told him not to be shy and eat up but that spoon hardly touched the top of the soup as he tried to see if indeed these were spider penises.

Finally I had to laugh too and tell him:
"No.  It was just black pepper."
He looked at me like he thought I was lying to make him eat the soup and now the joke was on me, cause the other guys were laughing at me trying to convince this boy it was black pepper.

The Moral of the story was that spices and soup ingredients, can get you in trouble.lol
-------------------------------------------
In Africa, Ananse the Spider is very famous.

One story was about a man who killed animals who disagreed with him.
Ananze is a trickster god, like the Monkey god in Chinese mythology.

He met this man one day and invited him to  his house for dinner.
The Table was set with lots of chillie peppers.

The man ate lot of these chillies and his mouth began to burn so he asked Ananses' children for water.
The children told him that the water was over their Fathers' pot and they were afraid to touch it in case it mixed with what was in the pot below.
The man argued with them saying this was totally absurd, at which point Ananse stood up
and told him that he must die, because he was arguing.

The man was attacked, killed and torn up into pieces, which were then thrown around the planet and
this is how ARGUMENT spread all around the world.
------------

When I read this story I remembered my own spider penis soup one and it all fit together to write this blog.
----------
Last night I listened to the Ryan Biden debate and I have to say
I was not very impressed with Biden.
But then I thought about the enlightening discussions he must have with his own children at home and had to laugh.Ryan was his son and was not shown much respect. lol
If I was a soldier, I would hate to have this man speaking for me and my troops.
Ryan kept saying our men need all their men in Afghanistan . If you are going in to do something, do it the right way.
Biden kept pushing that the military trained Afghans and they need more Afghans to fight their own battles, rather than send more Americans to die.
What was not said was that American Soldiers train Afghans but they do not trust the Afghans fighting beside them because these guys train with them and then infiltrators shoot Americans.

So either send Afghan soldiers alone to shoot their enemies or send the American military to do it, but not together.

Right now it seems, the Taliban has gone into sniper mode whereby
it is ok to smile and train with an infidel and then stab him in the back and blame the enemy,
 freedom fighters came to fight.
Biden went there how many times? 22 and he doesn't understand this?

In Afghanistan this little girl is doing well but the Taliban is amazed a fuss was raised about it cause they said they do this all the time and no one cares.
No one cares?
They do it all the time and no one cares?????

Parents in the US are asking why did our sons die in Libya and the Obama Government hasn't got a clue.
By now they should have gotten some answers. Were the Embassy people tortured and sodomized?
More?
Here is some evidence of what was done to Chris Stephens.

http://marcchamot.blogspot.ca/2012/09/the-photo-that-defines-destroys-obamas.html

In healthcare, again with Obama care, there is no competition, leaving doors open to runaway
spending. Our Canadian health care is suffering because of this.
Competition is always good to keep prices down and to get answers to questions.
Private firms keep prices down, run a tight ship, and get answers for you.
Something to think about.

A Moment In Time

This is a charcoal sketch I made of my Grand Daughter
I have to get out the brushes and try to put her in oils.
This little girl has such interesting expressions,
I just feel like trying to paint her over and over again.lol
Of course I will never do her justice.
Noses sometimes can be tricky to do
 but even so
if the rest of the picture turns out,
I will know who she is lol
Right now I am happy looking at the sketch .
If I learn how to do her well,I can put her into my bigger pieces.
Life is interesting and if it isn't,
you can always make it interesting. :)
 -----------
My hubby took the dog out and another woman was walking hers and let it pee on our property.
Beau jerked my husband and dragged him down our inclined driveway to get to the other dog.
Beau was attacked by other peoples' unleashed dogs when he was a pup on a leash
so now that he's grown, he is very picky with who he chooses to make friends with.
Some dogs will be fine while others he won't like for no reason.
The woman kept walking away and I looked out my window and saw my pitiful husband, covered in blood and the neighbor running across the street to help him.
This was last week.
The scabs fell off his  face now but the bruises he got all over his body and head still hurt.
He still has a huge lump on his chin which we hope will go away.

This is why I don't take Beau out . He isn't my dog because my dog is one I can carry in a purse lol
but the kids wanted a DOG not a toy and now no one does anything with him.
One is in Australia and  the other at soccer or school and never home.

Beau is a lovely dog, very affectionate and a good guard but too strong for my husband and I,
on hill property such as ours, if he ever decides to bolt.
So many people, walking dogs by the house, always stop to have their dog bark, to excite ours. It's like dogs know they can tease a dog inside the house.
Little brats.lol
Since we moved here, my husband fell on his face three times on that driveway .
 Twice from black ice.
While I am gaining weight, he reminds me of a ballerina with his long
thin arms and legs. We always joke about it.
He broke his expensive glasses three times and I fell and broke my wrist in the back yard.

Time flies and we never think that one day we will be too old
to do some things like keep our balance, on a hill.lol
When these days come, they happen over night.

On a lighter side, Beau keeps strangers away from the house with his deep bark.
It helps a lot where solicitors are concerned.
The police also told us to make sure we keep locked doors cause thieves are not very nice people.
A barking dog usually discourages, on the spur of the moment decisions,
to play games.
----------------------------------------------------
Hope every one has a pleasant day.

Echoes In The Darkness

I think I always loved Echoes by Pink Floyd .
It lasted a long time, about 22 minutes . One could turn off all the lights, close ones eyes and just let ones' spirit fly.
The music did all the rest.
It took you into the oceans and plains, the wind and the sky.
You soared like a bird with wings spread wide.

You became one with everything and everything  became one with you.
It's freedom, like nothing one could experience living a normal life chained to rules, families , jobs and society.
It's like swimming naked in a vast salty, ocean, feeling and absorbing all the water around you like a babe in a Mothers' womb and spiraling through waves and waves of earth and leaves along with all the raw smells and textures.

Waters explained Echoes as " the potential  human beings had for recognizing each others' humanity and responding to it with empathy."
Empathy means having the ability to feel another persons emotions , thoughts and feelings as if they were your own.

And
you could do it without drugs or alcohol just by sitting and listening, getting high on natural elements found all around you.

Today, I think this is the music of the future .
Long after we are gone, people will
rediscover it in outer space and enjoy it as much as we did in the 70's. here on planet earth.

Since humans cannot find the missing link between man and beast, I believe we are not alone.
There has to be another intelligence and we can find it somewhere in the myths and legends
we procure from our ancestors.

Other times and other worlds existed before we acknowledged our existence.

It would indeed be wonderful to one day, have all these secrets disclosed to us.
 Until then.........

I learned many things from studying cultures especially those of Africa and South America.
There were gods and gods who also changed forms . Some deities were higher than others, which probably was why societies like India, developed castes etc... to emulate the gods.

What is different in free societies, is that we all found out that although born equal, we are all on different planes or levels of understanding and  existence.
It's just the way things are, as each individual has to learn and grow, at his own pace.
We all have our own journeys in life and we all have rights to live and walk on the roads paved for us alone.

We applied this concept to our schools to kill intolerance because all people are different
and within that concept of tolerance, we learned  the word, freedom .
I guess this is why we fear to lose freedom because it means so much to so many people.

Man is malleable. He can live under most conditions but one thing for sure, is that no system or religion, will stop man from progressing and learning and taking the path God designed for him.

In Christianity we found this concept of forgiveness and tolerance in words like, turning the other cheek
and this is why we only have 10 Commandments, we are free to use at our own discretion or not to use.
No one punishes you for not obeying them unless you hurt or kill someone.

So when it comes to religions, it is here that they falter because they try to stop man from walking his personal, divine path, which they say only belongs to Prophets or Caesers or Bishops or Kings etc....
They proclaimed that only they can have visions from the gods.
But in reality, this is not true. If this was true, Jesus would have been born to  a Caesar, a King and not to a poor woman who married a carpenter.
Every man , woman and child, has a divine right to his/her path, journey, to learning and understanding. No man is allowed to stand between man and his maker, because on judgement day, it will be between him and the individual and no one else.

I have to say something about this poor girl in Pakistan who spoke her mind and was shot and told by the Taliban that if she lives this time, next time she won't .

Shooting or hurting a child, is the biggest sin in the world and un forgive able.

The man who shot her is an example of an empty mind, on the lowest plane possible, with soooooo much to learn.
He can be compared to the Ice Man we had here in North America. In the end, the Ice Man understood that he had something wrong with him.

Life, politics, this planet, are living entities.
Our planet earth, with its' earthquakes storms and sunny days, is no different from a man or a woman. We can't afford to close our eyes to them any more than we can close our eyes to things like drugs and alcohol or rogues like the Ice Man, who roam this planet.
It is our destiny to recognize evil for what it is, wherever it is and devise ways to deal with it.

We need to learn from Echoes in the Darkness.

Finishing Thread.

The thread of life goes a long way
It sews up souls and joys and sorrows.
It knits, it webs, it colors and
if you let it,
it saves the lives you borrow.
It takes you back when you get lost
and forward, marches to the sun
It warms and paints soft glowing sights
Found on walls in dens
for arts' delight
It writes
God Bless
and
Welcome Home
I love you, Miss you
My beloved one
The thread of life goes a long way

A ball I wind so very tight.
So long, that if you e're get lost
I'll find your heart and
Wind it back.

October Apples.

In the darkness
In the night
Apple blossoms sprouted nuts

Hidden as forbidden fruit,
Juicy apples
Behind cedar shoots.

Here I sit watching them grow
Changing color, before the hint of snow
Ready for the midnight witch
To pick them, for Halloween treats.

In the darkness
In the night
Juicy apples colored bright
Toffee covered, chocolate bound
Getting ready, for Goblin night.

No Living Life On the Wild Side.

I watch Jay Leno,Craig Fergusen, Bill Maher and
Saturday Night Live etc.. and have to laugh
at the jokes they make about the unsung fanatics and heroes
from life in general.
No matter who you are, you can become the butt end of a joke.
Seeing how every one has one, one can expect a billion
or so of them. No one is immune.
I find this is what makes this country great. People are not afraid to laugh
or criticize or insult. People are free with their bodies because they see
a body as a form of beauty. You caress a child with innocence of mind
and pure love, so why should things change when people grow up?
Well some things are nothing to laugh at because what most treasure,
a darkness all around us, lurks to strike.
Evil only sees evil. Evil hates light.
It seems the days of enlightenment are always destroyed.
In Belgium a new group is taking over and it despises democracy.
but it will use it to gain power and destroy the fabric of life as it
is enjoyed.

Obama also makes a lot of jokes at dinners but it doesn't seem like he likes telling them
because his face grows red and the jokes seem to be all written for him.
Where would he find the time to write them or get such ideas?

In any event it makes no difference what he says or writes.
It's a means to an end and he has to do what has to be done to gain votes.
What is of interest and important, is that he is free to do and be, anything he wants in America.

This is quite the opposite of people supporting sharia law who he secretly supports.
So why would he support them when they represent loss of freedom?
People love and support him without understanding the true agenda.
And why shouldn't they when Clinton is doing all the true campaigning and he isn't even VP.
Even Clintons' history is quite amazing, as people who didn't support him seemed to disappear
and die early deaths. There are many things going on people don't know because they are
side tracked from asking the right questions or ask the wrong people.

Or maybe people do understand as maps show but have a myopic view concerning only greed and money?
 http://agorafinancial.com/reports/OST/NewWar/vp/OST_NewWar_092611.php?code=POSTMC00

Teachers tell us to read history so bad things don't happen again.Things like Hitler and Stalin which all rose to power quite innocently. We send troops to try to speak for freedom because tyrants enter countries and genocide innocent groups of people with jihads where they can .
So it is really not in any ones' interest to turn the other way and ignore what is happening.

We send troops out to resolve the problem in homes of other countries, in the name of freedom, while the enemy is quietly entering our homes to restrain freedom, the blood of our veins, which brought everyone to this refuge continent.
Europe most certainly should have learned a lot more and faster than we here in North America but it's bleeding from all ends and they still go and spend money in enemy lands, which ends up in Taliban hands.

It is our hippie generation, that taught that if you want something destroyed, destroy it from the inside out .
They found out flower power didn't do it, being nice didn't do it, fighting establishment didn't do it so how would one do it?
Well, trying to resolve our problems, we gave the enemy of democracy, a way to do it from the inside out too and they have all the time in the world, using our laws to do it.

It is important to remember
Laws, constitutions, are just pieces of paper. They are worthless and meaningless if the people do not support them.Especially if a President doesn't support them and just endures it to do the job his agenda sent him to do.

We had the Sikh community here in BC hiding terrorists in their Khalsa school and if you ever met kids from there. they looked at you in fear because they were taught something there to promote fear and hate. In our own country, Canadian kids are kept alienated from the real world and people. This is not a good sign. The ethnic kids who go to normal public schools become true Canadians.

The melting pot ideology is a good ideology to have in a country. The moment you begin with cultures, it becomes a power struggle. In Canada we were always told that we were living  an experiment to see what happens. Would a Mozaic , community pockets,  work?
We estimate 6,805 languages in the world today and if we had a mixture of all of them, maybe a Mozaic would work. However we don't bring in all these languages. Once a group decides to immigrate, they bring everyone and explode into procreation, something we were taught not to do because the planet cannot feed all these people , but you can't say no.
Now Cali says we can't feed every one. Water is scarce but
people come and still have 9-10 children in poverty situations like the octo Mom.
In Canada, BC especially, they want to flood important food producing land, in the Peace River area, for
electricity, as they did in Quebec. Now why do they always do this?

It's important to say no. Singapore says no.China says no. Russia says no.
Most countries we know say no.

Those who don't know how to say no end up full of holes which bleed from the inside out.
No today, is an important word to say.
If we don't begin to use it more often, it will be forced upon us in another way, as it is in so many other places in the world.

Happy Thanksgiving Week End.!!

It's Thanksgiving in Canada.

Hope every one has a pleasant week end with family and friends
giving thanks to everything we have and don't have, as it is and
always will be, Gods' will,
to teach us, humble us , forgive us and
reward us,
 for being his children.

We thank him and our country for showing us love and
blessing us with peace on this special day.

--------------------------

Today I made macaroni and steamed meat balls with green beans , squash, garlic, kidney beans,
and onions. I put no salt or spices and only soy in my bowl. It tasted great!!
My son complained it had no taste and I told him, well I cook now, according to the way you tell me,so add what you want to your dish. lol
So he added his chilli sauce.
The meat balls had lots of stuff in them like shallots, bread crumbs, tomato, garlic, celery and eggs.
Over all, I think there were lots of veggies on this menu .

My husband said not to cook the turkey cause he wants to take us out for Thanks giving.
Our Casino in Richmond has the best buffet.
Everything you want is there and the chefs are tremendous in their presentation of the food.
Since this is also my birthday week end and my sons, I think it is the best way to go.
We seem to be all Libras in our family. lol

Boots

The boots they march
Through raging storms and fires
To safely keep the innocent at home
Our soldiers eyes see dread and sorrow
So blood soaked soils keep freedom, free

The boots march on to keep the faith
Through raging hurricanes and floods
Our Fathers' perish in the night
But boots, with dying breaths,
are polished bright

There is no divorcing home and plain
No leaving dust that feeds their veins
The boots brought home, are bronzed with pride
The soles repaired, so freedom flies.

A Lady's Life
-----------------

When I was growing up in the Kennedy days,
Communism was a big issue back then.
People feared it for so may reasons.
It represented loss of freedom
It represented toil without a shred of a reward.
It represented fear to pray to God
or even acknowledge that he exists.
You had to buy the propaganda, hook, line and sinker or face humiliation
prison or death.
Thinking people were thrown into gulags and forced to work in secret.
It was even worse for the soldiers under Hitler, who feared their ruler.

Well Ukraine plowed, seeded, harvested and starved in winter  as all the food
was taken away from farmers who were not allowed to keep one grain.
People stood in line ups for food, shelter, shoes, warm clothing and even toilet paper
which was still hard to come by under a new "redistribution" regime.
Eventually people said why should we work, when we get nothing?
At least under the Czar, we had something.
But now brother feared brother
And parents feared their children.
Communism failed because it could not replace
 truth.
There is no brotherhood, without God.
No true redistribution program can exist because no system is perfect.

After Perestroika, people went back to church.
People got jobs, bought homes and cars without fear.
People returned to God who taught them what true brotherhood meant.
It doesn't mean doing something because of fear, expectations,
rewards or punishments.
It meant to do something.  because it was the right thing to do.
Brotherhood is a question of honour, where a handshake
is worth more than a ton of paper work, on a lawyers' desk.
I remember people after the war, truly understood the meaning of friendship.
and God
because they experienced the miracle of staying alive to see another day.
Brotherhood and friendship was individual, personal and private and
it grew to include many, who finally understood, what
innocence, will never comprehend because it did not suffer.
This is why innocence is valued, by those who lost it.
If only life, could once again, be lived this way but
in an explosive world, it can't be.
People run to streets paved in gold, or so they believe.
But streets are seen as gold only because they are used by employed people,
builders, innovators, who believe in progress.
People who live free, with knowledge and power, to make a difference in the world

A man will never show you charity if he is angry and told he is not allowed to think.
He needs self respect, employment, a home, food on the table and the ability to create
some joy to remember him by.
After all, what is life worth, if there is no joy living it?
A man also needs education in order to achieve understanding.

In North America we found the answers we were looking for, in freedom
and the church, which reminds us 1 hour, every Sunday, to do the right thing,
no matter how small.
A smile, a flower, a sandwich, a hand, a book, can go a long way without
cold bureaucracies and finance companies,
where people are numbers.
Keeping matters close at hand, where you can see them and control them, is more important
than giving them away to people, far away, who will never understand.
We work, to help those we know and  love
We work for our neighbors, friends and family.
We polish boots every day, with every breath we take
We fix soles,
So the innocent, can walk free .
and it feels good to do this.

The Last Boyfriend.

I am not usually a Nora Roberts reader.
I do love the movies though, they put on the Womans' Channel,
based on some of her stories.

This book is a quick read but I was not very impressed with it.
I read it and that's about it.

I guess it would be great for younger people
but for an old chick like me, I need more substance. lol
Even as a kid my books were heavy reads  like the First Circle
by Solzhenytsyn, Les Miserables, Works of Dostoyevsky,
Che Guevera etc...
Every one was petrified of communism back then and
destroyed by Hitler so many books were written on those subjects.

Reading so many books, some topics become boring after a while
but after a generation, once people stop reading certain things,
issues come back to interest a new wave of people.
This book probably would be great for those people.

If you like Nora Roberts, as so many do according to stats,
this is one more to add to your collection
:)
-----------
Today I was encouraged by my son to go to Superstore.
He had his own list of what to buy and I was shocked by the things he chose.
He got a huge salmon which is baking right now in the oven with only lemon on it.(he is not a fish eater)
He got squash I am also baking without salt or butter or any spice.
And he got quinoa with Cali brown rice, cause it has less arsenic in it.
I am not allowed to use salt on anything.
Yet he loves Indian food which is packed with spices. Go figure. lol
So this will be our supper tonight.
In any event, I bought more ocean fish than usual (no beef since we have a bad strain of ecoli going around).
My favorite is trout.
Superstore sells utility turkeys and for Thanks giving, you don't want to put a turkey with missing parts on the table. Usually I get a small turkey and add more turkey legs to it when I bake it but today since we only have three in our family, I just get a small turkey.
Would have been nice to have more family  around but most of mine are in the US , England and Australia.
The groceries have really gone up in price. I found crab meat I thought was in a can but it turns out it's frozen so it's in the freezer now.
I spent 300 dollars and got a $25.00 gift from Superstore which is handy to have.
This food should last a month since my son eats out a lot and I don't cook if no one is around to indulge.lol
Sometimes Superstore gives you free things like pyrex or a chair which is always appreciated.

I bought a coffee machine and it stopped working so this time I kept the receipt and was able to exchange it.
I always look back and think our appliances never used to break and now I buy and have to replace them all the time but I never keep the receipt. This time I did.

Other news includes my grand daughter celebrating her 3rd birthday year in Australia.
I look at her pictures and she is a happy little girl, always smiling.
My oldest son hasn't changed. I see he is really enjoying her and is a really good Dad.
He learned a lot from his Good ol Mom. lol
I spent so much time with both my boys. I miss reading them stowies.
I miss dressing up on Halloween and making haunted houses
and I also miss watching their cute faces at Christmas when they wake up to find a sparkling tree with boxes under it.
These are truly the best joys in life one could have.
Ok have a good one.:)

A Land More Kind

This is a thriller taking place in North Carolina
about two brothers and the evil that surrounded them
in the town they lived in.
Their Mother did not protect them
as one would expect a Mother to do.

It had me hooked to the very end so I can recommend it
as a book to read.

Don't want to give the plot away lol
but I'm sure Wiki would have it.

I am busy making a doily, doing sketches of people, and knitting my doggy a new winter
sweater. Last winter I made her one and she enjoyed it tremendously.
She never tried to take it off so this year, I want to make her a better one .
So we will see what happens.

Fallen Angel

Daniel Silva has a whole collection of books to read and if they are
as good as this one, I would love to read them all.

It is a modern book of fiction which captured your interest as it
involved Rome, the Vatican, Europe, Terrorists and Israel.
It filled your plate and imagination with plots full of mystery
intrigue and murder.

It gives you insight into just how much work it entails
to keep the world safe .and how truth is manipulated every day.
It was an easy days' read .

Pick a book up at your local library and enjoy.
