Mothers' Cries.
A Mother screams out into the night sky
I will send my sons to fight for God
For God is the only thing worth fighting for.
I give them birth so they may serve
The one, The Only God on earth!
She sends one and then the other, the third and forth
To see them ne'er more.
Hungry, tired she becomes an outcast
All alone, to walk the earth.
She cries out to God
Why have you forsaken me?
I gave you everything!!!
Everything!!!
Instead she sees black death
Standing before her, surrounded by
Black crows, cawing into the night.
Death says to her
Mother
You sent your sons to me, not God.
They were not yours to give
For they were born to live.
God isn't vengeful.
He has no anger, no regrets,
No anguish, nor pain because
He truly lives.
His only quest is for the survival
Of his creative work.
He lives to see it live.
The rest he sends to me
In darkened graves.
Skeletons, to feed the dead,
Dead of spirit
Dead of soul
Dead of hate and
Dear of war.
And I am here to collect what's mine.
If you do not live for life
Then you must die.
You, who sent your flesh and blood to die
Was not the hand of God, but lies.
I am the truth here facing you
If you want your sons,
You come to me.
A Lady's Life.

An Innocent Life
I was born an innocent
As innocent as the day I was born, I grew
Until I saw my Mother cry
In front of the Lord.
And I looked up at his stern face
No smile or smirk, I found
I wondered, why did my Mom cry
And why she knelt, head bowed.
I was born an innocent
As innocent, as the day I was born, I grew
And when I looked up at the Lord
I was concerned, cause he was scorned.
I felt his pain up on the cross
I wondered why he died.
And when I saw the people come
They knelt, with their heads bowed.
Today, I am not innocent
I am scarred, from life and death
I stand before the Lord
But my head, is not bent.
I still look deep into his eyes
To try to understand why he's so stern
So sad, he died, up on the cross
For men..... who do not learn.
I was born an innocent
I die each day a little
I bear my scars, from life and death
I cry, for all who suffer
I lost my smile and innocence
Watching young men die
But now I know why my Lord lives
He lives..... so I, my family, friends and hope survives.

Tall Gray Men
I was living in Singapore and doing all the things many Singapore wives do while their husbands go to work each day.
We sit and cater to our kids.
We get involved in many fund raisers for the school, Cub Scouts, drama .
It was during their first Christmas play Cinderella, that I decided to try painting a 10 x 20 prop so the kids would have a real back drop they could enjoy and the parents could later come up after the play and take pictures of.
It was a success and I got hooked into painting lol
But all this work cost me. I lost a baby because of it and then once I got pregnant again I said to myself I will take care of this one and stayed in bed and told the doctor make sure this baby is well taken care of. The baby comes first.
The woman doctor I had did her job well and watched me like hawk.
During this time my husband also got me a scooter. I enjoyed riding it to no end.
When my parents came to visit I took my Dad out in the rain and we had a great time.
I brought him home and he went to my Mom and said:
Gosh I had a ride of my life.
She drove well and we didn't slip once.
My Dad was very good with me when it came to toys with motors lol
She drove well and we didn't slip once.
My Dad was very good with me when it came to toys with motors lol
But I had a great scooter and there was no way it would slip lol.
I used to take my son to school on it and he had a lot of fun.
This scooter meant a lot to me as after work my husband would come home and take his huge bike and together we'd go to the beach
or scoot up into Malaysia. It was great to ride into small areas for discovery reasons, easy to park and I used it to go to the hospital for my check ups. My husband at this point, drove along behind me to make sure I got there.lol
There are not many women riding scooters in Singapore so when I'd show up at the hospital the parking guards were always impressed with me. lol
They called me
the crazy guailo woman.
Then it came time to have the baby. The water broke but what came out was thick and greeny.
The doctor said the baby pooped and I had to go have an immediate C section.
She didn't give us time to think and I did not have time to even say goodbye to my husband or my boy, who was also very concerned that something bad was going to happen.
I went in at 11:30 pm and by 12:30 - 1 am, I had the baby.
They were wheeling me out and I was just awakening, to see 4 tall skinny men all dressed in gray robes, with long gray beards. They were debating between themselves. One said:
She isn't doing what she is supposed to and another came to my defense and said:
Give her another chance.
Then they noticed I was coming out of my sleep and disappeared. I was being transported to my room on a guerney and my husband was running beside it and all he said was:
He's beautiful.
I closed my eyes and went back to sleep.
In my room I finally saw my beautiful baby boy but I was plagued by the disturbing vision I had.
They must have put something down my throat because I had a very sore throat and could not talk. I think they destroyed something because I had a very nice voice but now would never sing again.
Eventually I told my husband my vision and how upset I was because my fate was being determined and that I had a mission to do in life and did not know what it was .

Eventually I told my husband my vision and how upset I was because my fate was being determined and that I had a mission to do in life and did not know what it was .
If I knew, I would do it.I came close to losing my life and would never have seen this precious child I waited so long for, but since my husband and I had a deal we would have one every 15 years, he came on schedule lol.
My first boy was not very pleased because he did not really understand what this was all about and when he held his little brother for the first time, He called him a dork and told him that he better not touch his computer. His baby brother grabbed his nose and said agoo..lol and this is when he understood the baby was entirely empty headed and not going to be a problem.
He really became protective of the baby and made sure nothing happened to him.
When we left the hospital with little Nick, my husband drove up to the parking attendant to pay and he said smiling :
What, no more motorcycle?
We gaily said no and the first place we went to was the American Club where every one saw the white frilly basket bassinet I made and rushed over to see and welcome a brand new life.
My baby boy slept like an angel and I was a very happy Mama.
Singapore is a very contained society. People are polite hard working and the laws were strict so you never worried about crime. It was a very safe place to live and raise a family.
It was easy getting used to this and to raise a family drug free . It was a treat to have no need to explain why every where you went you required a chaperone.I liked it.
When we got back to Canada, we had the culture shock because here, every one swore, crime and corruption was everywhere as well as drugs and a lot of homelessness. New comers were turning our beautiful country into something ugly with all their terrorism problems. We had to keep our doors locked and for the first time in a long time, I was afraid.
We ourselves felt like we were becoming victims because the laws were not working like they used to. Criminals were prepared for the law because they were the ones breaking it. They knew how to work it so innocent people fell, one after another. How do you win a drug war if for example the judge believes in it.?
Then I thought to myself.......is this my mission?
Was I to begin fighting against all this to help people reflect because they did not understand what was expected of them? The people all played a role in life but there was no essence.
There was no God.
Up until now I had no reason to think about God or how much he needed help.
So I began to talk and write and tell people what he meant to me and how it is I knew that he existed and why he is important to each and every one of us.
Even if you are not a believer, he is still in you.
You might call it a dormant place inside your heart but he is still in there
separating you from what is wrong and what is right.
I began writing in papers and the papers put things in because the articles are different and prone to attacks. I was attacked, called many names and then a few people began to write saying
what I said made sense and the wrong people are being allowed to sway the public.
In a small way I began a debate between people.
People are afraid to voice their opinion. Parents are afraid to lose their children, their jobs etc.. Liberalism ran amok and the reins had to be pulled in.
Today what you see all around you, is life running amok.
Not everything is ok and people have to fight back because if they don't, the wrong guys will be running government and the world , at every ones' expense.
So today I sit with my blog hoping it will make a small difference.
I am not looking to be popular but hey........if God needs help,
it costs me nothing to lend him a hand.
I will speak for his cause where I can .
That's the least I can do at my age especially since he was so good to me.
But who were these tall gray men?
I have no idea.
Maybe death, maybe time, maybe people from the future.
I am still alive, so maybe , finally,
I am doing something I was born to do. lol
Have a good one.

No More Bread and Butter.

=============================================
WOW!! People are angry all over the world. We will have to seek new planets to work in and send our dump to if Earth is to be saved.
==================================================
MY DAY
We got some shrimp from the fisherman who put them on ice for us.
We cooked them in garlic and butter but for some reason they did not seem to be very fresh and we were disappointed.
Then this morning they spoke of the ocean dying within this generation, unless people stop doing everything immediately which means stopping cities dumping into it.
I don't understand how Mayors of cities do not see the importance of not dumping into the ocean. Should this not be everyone's concern?
Or at the very least should things not be filtered before they enter the ocean?
I feel most people feel the same way I do about this planet so why are things not changing?
I guess man feels if he paints more pictures on his body, spikes his hair and looks tougher, he is safer than every one else but nothing could be farther from the truth.
The CO2 is rising, warm water affects ocean currents, and weather will change our normal routines in food growth and insect and animal behavior.
With Mother Earth enraged, no one is ever safe.

It is better to recycle each household waste at home and as for companies, well they must recycle the products they sell and if they can't then they should not sell it.
People should repopulate the seas with fish and scrape the bottom of all the lake pollution we put into it, so our food is clean.
The job begins at home, in towns and cities and then nations.

Money or Life?
Currently Locusts are eating away at Russia and we wonder why.
Similarly, other events are happening throughout the world.
Not only is man killing man but nature is killing animals and nothing and no one is safe these days, anywhere.
I guess our planet is going through change and adjustments to its' way of existence.
In BC we are worried about the Rocky Mountains going dry leaving the continent without potable water. Every drop is being accounted for.People in the Skeena River area, are fighting to keep coal gas and other mineral development out of BC. The costs of them losing this fight could have devastating effects on life as we know it.
Here we search for other ways to make a living, to heat our homes and run our cars.
The oil and gas companies punish us when we try to cut their services in our homes by charging more and not paying back what they owe in over payments. Life is a constant struggle to stay alive. In the meantime we see videos such as these below predicting an apocalypse as predicted in the Bible. The first thing to die is supposed to be the seas.
The thing about man, is that he has always been able to adapt to life around him.
If there are locusts, ways can be found to eat them.
If there are frog migrations, these could become a major food supply.
But dying birds, fish, crocodiles, whales etc..... these pose another problem as we do not know why they died and if this is the case, eating them could result in the end of man.
Prophesies aside, the world is changing and man is also dying in great numbers, maybe not from disease but from natural disasters and if this is not humbling enough,
then I don't know what is.
Today science and technology, bought and developed by the rich and super rich, leave the rest of us behind because no one knows who is doing what and why.
We have people like Jesse Ventura and his Conspiracy Theories, we have terrorists and their religious empire building and we have the unknown which can affect every one, everywhere, at any time, causing domino effects, from which nothing or no one is safe.
No one knows the future. However, it is important for man to be humble. He needs to understand that he can never be God, especially since he doesn't believe in him anyway, but just in case there is one???????? Well, it would be good to have him on your side.
Money or Life? In the end, these are the only two choices we have.
The First, cannot guarantee you the second.
:)

All the Streets Are Ploughed and The Sky is Gray
One thing that is good about Whistler is that the snow plows do their work.
The streets are clean and you still have the beautiful view of the heavy snow clad trees and peaceful quiet people so yearn to have around them.
Christmas was spoiled for one family from Cali though this year.
They went down hill as a family and their 20 year old son steered off the path and they couldn't find him when they reached bottom. A search was made which had to be stopped when it got too dark and continued in the morning, at which point, they found the young man dead by the creek.
No one knows if he wore a helmet.
I asked my son where this creek is and he said way off the path and he saw no reason why the boy should end up there.
He said even in the gondola which hovers 1,500 overhead, one would not be able to see him there unless maybe if he wore extremely bright colors.
All he could see around the creek area were logs.
So how did the 20 year old make this mistake to go in that direction?
Did the snow blind his view of the path?
I guess we will never know but this makes it even more important to ski or snow board in groups and keep your eyes on one another.
Many mountains have the path cordoned off so people do not go off course but Whistler has too much ground to cover and maybe they do not do this, so people have to be very careful.
I found out that they do sell ski jackets equipped with GPS devices in the sleeve which can
help search and rescue track you. Sorta like a dog wearing a chip under the skin lol
I think it is a great idea and in this case, would have helped locate the lad sooner than they did and maybe saved his life.
A tragedy occurred Christmas of Dec 2010 and condolences must be sent to the family, devastated
by the loss of a son, while the world was celebrating the birth, of the son of God.
Is there a meaning here?
This is BC.
Beautiful, wild and dangerous.
Generous and greedy.
Loved, cried and died over.
Free and restricted
Plentiful and lean.
Whatever you are looking for,
You will find it here.
And if nothing else, the local stories will
definitely keep you entertained.

Spirits Among US

Mama Zens blog spoke of a book Spirited by Rebecca Rosen.
Most people do not believe in spirits and I personally have never met any to talk to although I wish I could like they do in Medium and the Ghost Whisperer.
You get to find out so much from spirits if this could be true.
But living in Singapore, I once heard a funeral over the wall of our estate. When a person died there, the Chinese bring the body home and they make all his special things out of paper that he might need in the next world. So he has a car, his favorite slippers, pipe etc...and money to pay the devil to get out of hell. They also hire criers who cry over the body and people who bang pots and bells to keep evil away. So this was what they were doing when I was sitting in my living room on the floor writing a letter to my Mother explaining what was happening.
I wrote "Mom they are clanging and banging to keep the devil away.... and as I was writing devil,
the lamp in my dining room burst with such ferocity that the glass pieces flew across the room all the way to the glass table, maybe 20 feet, where I was sitting at on the floor. I was dumb founded.
And I felt eerie as if they kept him from crossing the wall and so he was angry at my place and showed me since I brought the topic up. This why they say evil comes when you invite it in and I guess by talking about him I was inviting him in. lol
I told my friends who told me about the spirits that lived in the Raffles hotel.
They had one woman who was always crying in one room and then a few ladies came down for tea once dressed in long gowns and white gloves with umbrellas and they had tea in the outside
garden where tables were set up. Once they left a customer asked the waiter who they were and he asked him who are you talking about. The customer said those two ladies having tea at this table. The waiters eyes grew big and he asked the customer what they looked like so he explained, The waiter left and brought in the manager who told them about the hotel ghosts. These ladies were included
One woman told me about about an old empty cement pool that had people walking inside as if they didn't know it was a pool.
The Chinese believe in ghosts.
My Mom did the ouiji board until it spelled out I am the horned goat meet me at midnight. She dropped everything and never did it again.
One of her friends on new years, sat by a three sided mirror. The thing to do was to place the mirror in front of an open window and then keep looking in it and as soon as you get a glimpse of your future husband you turn the mirror over. Well she wanted a closer look and was beaten up.
There have been cases girls were beaten to death by the spirit which walked through.
Some people have 7th sight and I believe in that.
When my grandfather died, I was sleeping and opened my eyes just to see him looking over me and smiling. I thought Oh grandfather is here and I am safe, I can sleep now. That same night he came to my mother in the kitchen. She turned around from the sink and saw him and he asked her for a cup of coffee. She said sure and turned to make him one then remembered he died. She turned and he was gone. She wasn't sleeping. She was washing dishes. So he came to the both of us the same night to say good bye.
I think all people have 7th sight but our brains are so cluttered, we don't see.
You need to be in a certain frame of mind to be able to do this. In my case I was a child and just about to fall asleep and my Mom probably was also numb from her fatherinlaw, who she had a good relationship with, dying.
There were other things too that happened so when it comes to spirits, I am not so certain I don't believe in them. If they exist, then all the rest must be true too. Shirley McLean tried to experiment with the un explainable and she said she could fly on a string far away from her body.
She could go to different places and see different things. Once I was meditating and I got to a point where I felt something leaving my body and I got scared and woke up. I thought if I let it go, it won't come back but what a journey I would be on. I could fly.
You forget to breath at that moment.
For me this is risk taking I am not prepared for. It could end up in death if you stay away too long and you have no concept of time doing this. Someone has to pull you back.
One needs to understand that we live with limits. Our eyes do not see as well as, say a bee.
Our sense of smell is not as good as a wolves or a sharks.
So we speak in terms of our experiences and paradigms but sometimes things sift through and we are given a taste of the unexplainable.
I can live with that. :)

Forbidden Love

Forbidden Love a Spanish Romeo and Juliet Tragedy
Lovers of Turiel were from the families of Marcillo and Segara.
The children, Isabel and Diego, grew up together and wanted to marry.
Diego could not afford married life, so it was agreed to hold off marrying Isabel for five
years, so he could amass some wealth. Diego left for sea and came back
a wealthy man,
minutes after the wedding of his beloved Isabel.
That night he came to her and asked her to kiss him because he was dying
She refused, being married, and saw him fall at her feet dead.
She told her husband who was infuriated she did not kiss him.
He was afraid to be blamed for Diego's death.
At the funeral, Isabel came in her wedding dress.
She kissed her true love Diego and fell over his body, dead.
They lie in Spain for all to see , a Spanish Romeo and Juliet Tragedy.
Although their hands seem to be touching, they are not, because after all, she was already married.

GOOD FRIDAY

Good Friday
Many Orthodox Christian churches often observe Good Friday at a later date than the Good Friday date observed by many western churches.
Good Friday focuses on Jesus Christ’s death, which is described in the Christian bible.
The day is also known as Great Friday, Holy Friday, and Holy and Great Friday
What do people do?
Great Friday is a strict day of fasting for many Orthodox Christians .
Some Orthodox churches begin observing Holy Friday on Thursday night where the liturgy’s main feature is the reading of 12 sections from the gospels, all of which are accounts of Jesus Christ’s passion.
Other churches may have a Good Friday liturgy in the evening. Some priests remove icons of Jesus from crosses and wrap them in linen to reenact ancient burial rites.
Some Orthodox Bulgarian churches have special traditions, which include allowing people to pass under a table in the middle of the church and light a candle after the church bell rings.
This ritual is believed to wash away one’s sins. Many families of the Orthodox Christian faith may spend time on Great Friday to decorate Easter eggs as part of the Easter preparations.
Background
Many Orthodox churches retained the Julian calendar after the Gregorian calendar was introduced in Europe in 1582.
Therefore they often follow a different Easter date compared with many western churches. Easter holidays, such as Good Friday, are “moveable feasts” as these dates change according to calendar calculations.
There are different types of Orthodox churches that are well established in the United States.
Some of these churches include the Greek Hellenic Orthodox Church, the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America, and the Russian Orthodox Church.
The Russian Orthodox Church in North America can be traced back to the late 18th century, where a Russian church was built on Kodiak Island in Alaska during that period.
Alaska was previously part of Russia. The number of Greek Orthodox churches grew as Greek immigration increased after the late 19th century in the United States.
Symbols
Many Orthodox Christian families prepare Easter eggs, which are beautifully decorated and often dyed red to symbolize the Jesus Christ’s blood.
Jesus died to prepare mankind for his Fathers World
He died in Faith
He died leaving people to believe he would resurrect into life everlasting.
His death brought upon dark clouds and a storm they say.
Today I look out my window and the wind has been blowing a few days now threatening
stormy weather.
Is it a fluke?
I have noticed it before in previous years.

Eyes of the Children
In the eyes of the children
Love peace and joy
In the eyes of the children
We love and adore
In the eyes of the children
Whose innocence we betray
In the eyes of the children
By grave yards we pray
Oh land shore and air,
Take heed lest we lose
In the eyes of the children
It is their souls we bleed.
Let no man raise arms
No humanity decay
On the streets where the children
So innocently play.
Let peace joy and love cross over our hearts
We must play with the children
We must never depart
In these young eyes, lies the truth of it all
In the eyes of the children
By a hearth soft and warm
Let not our hearts, be swayed by the sword.
Put down the weapons
So our hearts can be heard.
Be not dismayed at the wisdom displayed
In the eyes of the children
So young and so brave.
These eyes challenge the wicked,
They challenge the rich
They challenge the powers
Who become meak
In the eyes of the children
In the eyes of new life
There are no greater causes
More worthy than a child
~ An Amish Boy Goes to the Mall ~
A fifteen year old Amish boy and his father were in a mall.
They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but
especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart
and then slide back together again.
The boy asked, 'What is this Father?'
The father (never having seen an elevator)
responded, 'Son, I have never seen anything
like this in my life, I don't know what it is.'
While the boy and his father were watching with amazement,
a fat old lady in a wheel chair moved up to the moving walls
and pressed a button.. The walls opened, and the lady rolled
between them into a small room. The walls closed, and the
boy and his father watched the small numbers above the walls
light up sequentially.. They continued to watch until it reached
the last number, and then the numbers began to light
in the reverse order.
Finally the walls opened up again and a gorgeous
24-year-old blond stepped out.
The father, not taking his eyes off the
young woman, said quietly to his son.
'Go get your Mother.'

Macau...a once Portuguese colony....

Macau was an interesting place to visit, being right next door to Hong Kong.We were impressed with this building - Sao Paulo, A Catholic landmark. It was burnt down in 1835.You are able to see only the front and the back façade of the front side of the building. It feels weird to walk indoors only to find you’re outside again.

It was interesting to discover how difficult it was to bury foreigners out there. Portuguese Catholics did not allow Protestants to be buried on their soil so the East India Company bought some land in 1814 for the old Protestant Cemetary.

It was further surprising to find Artist George Chinnery, (died 1852.)

Royal Navy Capt. J.H. Spencer / Churchill, son of the 5th Duke of Marlbrough and great great grand uncle of Winston Churchill and US Naval Lieut Joseph Harod Adams, grandson of the second President of the United States John Adams and Nephew of the 6th John Quincy Adams, buried there.

Orlik...my beloved friend....!

One of my little treasures was a pale blue budgie I named Orlik. He was my love and playmate and simply an incredible little bird.He never liked his cage closed and therefore knew when he was being punished if we ever did .lol
It all began simple enough. You buy a young bird. It always has to be a special bird that attaches itself to your soul and that only speaks to you.You bring him home in a box, get him adjusted to his cage. Buy him treats. Teach him to sit on your finger and before you know it, this bird is all over you.
As soon as I would come home from school, he would fly and sit on my shoulder. We’d do our kissy kissy stuff and he’d share a bite of my apple with me.When I would read, he’d like to tangle himself in my hair and nibble my ear, chirping gently.
It all felt so good but if you crossed him by shooing him away, he’d head for that tiny place under the tip of your nose and give that piece of skin a good bite.
It brought tears to your eyes cause it’s a sensitive spot but he’d make his point, that his feelings were hurtand you would then wag your finger at him looking like a fool calling him a bad bird, (cause he’d try to catch it), and put him back into the cage.

We’d both sulk until I’d feel sorry seeing him with this pitiful sad expression and let him back out. We’d kissy kissy again and he’d search my face for crumbs.
He shared meals with the family on the kitchen table. If we had soup he’d sit on my soup dish and I’d feed him cooled off soup from my spoon.
He made sure to check every plate to see what was served. Then he’d run around the table picking up any pieces of bread crumbs he could find.Everything was fun and games with him.

He’d run up your arm to watch you eat paying attention to everything that went into your mouth. Then you’d lift your glass of water to him and he’d climb deep inside for a good drink. All you’d see was his tail. Then you’d open your mouth and he’d peer in to see if there was any cleaning to be done in there. That was very funny. We’d say stupid bird putting your head into the lions mouth. Loll
While the dishes were being cleared, he’d land on the floor and begin to attack your feet.
You’d have to be very careful not to step on him so instead of working, you’d lie down on the floor with him and take out your change. A dime was easy. He’d pick it up and begin carrying it all around, head held high. Then you’d change that to a nickel and he’d carry that around but you could see it wasn’t so easy cause it was a heavier coin. Then you’d give him a quarter. Now the struggle began cause he was determined to take this coin some where but he wasn’t quite sure as to where. So he’d drag it around the floor till he tired out. We gave him another 50 cent piece.
That was a real comedy to watch because he’d circle it many times trying to figure out how he was going to handle this situation. But he didn’t give up.
We had a plant that grew like a vine and it ran along our wall in the living room. He’d love to sit on it. From that vine we learned how to play tag. I’d run up to the plant and touch him with my finger and run away. He’d chase me, sit on my shoulder and then fly back to the plant. We’d play like this a good while every day.
Then one day he truly surprised me.
I called him Orlik and he answered me OOORlik. It was so difficult for him and I felt sorry I didn’t choose him an easier name. I couldn’t believe my ears. He talked. This was his present to me.

Of course this followed with so much love between us, lots of pats and kissies and rubbing of head to cheeks. The two of us were perfectly content with one another
My neighbor had an old green bird and so we decided to bring them together at the dinner table. Orlik was a gentleman. He ran up to greet her but she was stand offish and snobby and would turn her head away. After being pestered she began to run away.
It was so funny watching them run around the table both knowing they could easily fly but neither of them did.
When she saw she couldn’t get rid of him she decided to tolerate him standing beside her.
He’d see some crumbs and he’d walk back and forth to make sure she saw them as well and she’d walk over eventually and slowly nibble on them.
Orlik didn’t quite know what to make of her. She wasn’t playful and he finally began to think she was down right boring.

But he continued to entice her to do as he did showing her the tricks of the trade so to speak. Her interest began to grow as she watched him. When she had enough, she’d run up to her own owners and hung around them on the table.
We invited her often to our table to play with Orlik but it never failed. She’d always come in cool and reserved and he would have to do a lot to warm her up to his idea of fun.
Orlik was so attached to people, always wanting to please, that one day we had a storm brewing and my Mom opened the door to take the clothes off the line.
He flew to her shoulder and I ran after him but before anyone could do anything the wind picked him up and swooped him high, high, high into the air.
We both screamed Orlik! Orlik! and he was looking at us but there was nothing he could do.
Our Orlik’s wings were spread out and he was blown out of site.
Life teaches you that no matter what you do, one mistake, could cost you plenty.
Since I knew there was no way for him to return, I prayed he wasn’t hurt and managed
to find a window somewhere to sit on and perhaps find another family who would be willing to love him as much as we did.
We never forgot the joy he brought into our home and as you can see,
we can never forget him either.

Beyond Death

BEYOND DEATH
It is the little things which we remember about a person after he passes over.
As days go by, we have flash backs of meaningful moments, keeping us connected.
Craig Fergusen made a televised eulogy for his Dad.
He said, his Dad was a man of few words but one thing he always did was put his hand on his head.
It was a Father / son thing.
A few days before passing over, he did it again to his son and his son remembered and will always remember this touching moment.
He said this was something he always….. “liked”…….. his Dad doing and he will truly miss it.
The hand symbolized understanding, compassion, forgiveness, love, blessing, lots of good will etc….without saying a single word; without looking like a pussy.
This is a treasure he passed onto his son as our Father in heaven passes on to us.
We become very blessed and special people, when we speak less with words and more with our hearts.
We always have to remember, that the whole world is vulnerable.
Every person, even the very rough, strong and most powerful, are vulnerable.
Vulnerability is what connects us and makes us human.
As you age, you begin to understand, that the world is not about money, land, fighting and wars.
It meant nothing when you were born and it all means nothing when your time comes closer towards the end.
As you look back at your life and remember all the personal battles you fought with the people you love,
you can’t help but see the comedy in it all.
Such foolishness you fought and worried over, which…… if you had to do it all over again….. would never
even be entertained.
Today’s youth will feel the harsh words they use when they get older even more so than the previous generation, which didn’t use them as often. Every word is seen and heard from the heavens above as waves travel through space.
We miss the old and the aged after they are gone.
We miss the young even more because they lost their time on earth.
It all doesn’t seem fair.
It never seems fair and we wish that the transition was not so final.
We wish their spirits would linger on, to continue guiding us as they did when they were alive.
We wish to hear their voices and feel their hand upon ones head.
And….. maybe they do, in their funny way but we have to be vigilant to know it.
We hear them in the wind. We see them in the sun. We smell them in the woods.
They are all around us, in trees and water and life.
The sparrows, chirping and hopping so cheerily from branch to branch looking for things to eat,
look out into space but maybe they are looking at them……the spirits .........all around us.
“Life lives, life dies. Life laughs, life cries. Life gives up and life tries. But life looks different through everyone's eyes.”
