Recovering Fundamentalist

Jesus hung out with prostitutes and Muhammad killed them.
Interesting.

Thanks Guys.

Ahmd - I have read the Quran and am well acqainted with the philosphy of the purpose of life.
In the Quran you do not have to go beyond a few pages to see why
Jesus is the true representative of a merciful God.
He promotes forgiveness for mans sins and understands the need for man to come to his own conclusions without being coerced into them.If God wished for mankind to be perfect, do you not think he would have made it so?
And if man is born with faults, how would kissing the floor five times a day and keeping oneself ignorant and keeping women enslaved change this? Men, like animals, are born free.
And Each man stands in judgement before God alone. No one in this world need judge them.In this world mans job is to prevent man's inhumanity to man and Islam fails
big time to do this, to this very day. In my opinion, the Quran limits man's ability to learn and to perfect himself.
Thanks for all the info. :)

Mama Zen - I thought the whole sermon was wonderful.

It united the people because it opened doors against fundamentalist thinking.
The all powerful God, if he wanted to, could he have not made man be born perfect? Sure he could have.
And when the Jews (divorced Jesus)crucified Jesus, his dying words were, Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.

So he sent mankind with these words, on a quest to learn more about himself and just how far kindness can go.

This sermon touched me and I too had tears in my eyes.
I too have never thought about Jesus being divorced before either.
I knew he was against those who hurt people because his heart was kind and this was why he was called a shepherd.
