I really loved this stork and he carries flowers in side him

These were beautiful flowers and flowering everywhere.
Everything either in bud or already blooming

Heather was also prevalent everywhere

Logs were made to use as benches

Trees rooted in interesting ways here over stumps of cut trees.
Seems this is another way to replace cut down trees.
Just grow one over it. lol
They even made a bicycle stand out of a log.

Every where you look trees are centuries old
The bark tells the story as they are thicker than most trees we usually see.

Perfect Love

They hang their heads in sorrow
Lamenting tulips
Not to see tomorrow.

The bright heads remain
To reign in this domain
Untouched by friend nor foe.

Lucky flowers,
Living for tomorrow.

A Lady's Life
----------------------------------
My neighbors young maple tree dried up because of all the people walking their dogs who let them pee on it.
They take leisurely walks up and down this street into the bog, with leashes long, not caring
that they are not alone. (God forbid you do this by their homes. lol)
As I have dogs in the house, every passing dog knows and gives out a sole bark just in front of the house.
It's a private joke I think, between dogs, meaning:
I'm taking a walk and pissing on your tree and you are still inside lol
So all heck breaks loose in my house as my dogs would love a piece of the action outside.
So unfair. lol

To give my tree a chance, I built a wooden box around it, filled it with soil and planted tulips , daffodils and
jasmine. All the tulip bulbs disappeared and the few flowers that did come out, the children would come and pick them to give their Mothers. lol
The Mothers were always upset thinking it would upset me but how can you be upset when a child picks flowers, he thinks are beautiful, to give his Mother?

I would stand and watch their little faces and saw nothing but pure love, as they took great care in choosing which flower they wanted to give her. :)

This is what a Mother lives for.
This is a Mothers' reward.:)

Today the boys have grown into young men and the daffodils that survived, seemed to spread a little after so many years of neglect.
I call them my brave little soldiers facing the elements of life and living.
A few Jasmine also survived.
I guess the squirrels don't like them either. lol

Life......Time.......Survival.......so poetic.

Paddy and Mick get a pilot to fly them to Canada to hunt moose.

They bag six.

As Paddy and Mick start loading the plane for the return trip, the pilot says, "The plane can only take four of those."

The two lads object strongly. "Last year we shot six, and the pilot let us put them all on board; he had the same plane as yours."

Reluctantly, the pilot gives in and all six are loaded.

However, even with full power, the little plane can't handle the load and down it goes and crashes in the middle of nowhere.

A few moments later, climbing out of the wreckage, Paddy asks Mick,

"Any idea where we are?"

"I think we're pretty close to where we crashed last year," says Mick.

======================

Paddy & Mick find three grenades, so they take them to a police station.

Mick: "What if one explodes before we get there?"

Paddy: "We'll lie and say we only found two"!

=====================

Paddy says to Mick, "Christmas is on a Friday this year"

Mick says "Let's hope it's not the 13th."

==================

Mick walks into Paddy's barn and catches him dancing naked in front of a tractor.

Mick says, "Oh no, Paddy, what ya doing?"

Paddy says, "Well me and Mary haven't been getting on in the bedroom lately & the therapist recommended I do something sexy to attract her....

They imported 50 million tons of sand from the Arabs and they're going to drill for their own oil.

A Lone Soldier

A Lone soldier, he stands
A survivor
Resurrected
Every spring.
His roots deeply embedded
Where they are never found.

A lone Soldier He survives
Living through
The thick and thin
He is here, a sign of promise
A sign, that we are not alone.

A Single Soldier
Yellow and green
A bright survivor
Brave and strong
Resurrected
Every Spring.

A Lady's Life.

I planted many bulbs through out the years but few survive the pesty squirrels.
They come and dig them all out.
A few flowers survived and they keep coming back year after year.
This one looked so lonely and brave out on the front lawn.
I had to take a picture of it.

Two bowling teams
One team all blondes
The other team all brunettes
Chartered a double decker buss for a trip to Ohio

The Brunette team took the bottom part of the bus
The Blondes took the upper part of the bus.

The Brunettes were having a heck of a time hootin and hollerin
Suddenly they noticed that the Blondes upstairs were very quiet... too quiet.

One of the brunettes went upstairs to find out why.
She found all the blondes sitting in fear, looking straight ahead of them, with white knuckles and bulging eyes.
The Brunette asked: Whats wrong?
We're having a great time downstairs.

One of the blondes swallowed hard and looked up at her
and then whispered

'YEAH SURE, YOU'VE GOT A DRIVER'

Angels of Life.

When I was a child I had a neighbor named Pat, a little girl I used to play with.
We were two angels but totally different.
She was always a Princess in her make believe world and I was always in some adventure, in a beautiful forest, surrounded by wild animals.
In real life I was always great with animals and I took great pleasure in analyzing
leaves, flowers and animal behavior. In some ways I tried emulating them thinking
geez, are they not little geniuses in how they survive without a Mom and Dad.
I think this is how man learned how to survive emulating the lives of animals.
Where ever I went I had an Angel sitting on my shoulder, guiding me, loving me and I was always safe.

Across the street lived another little girl with polio. She couldn't partake in many things as she lived upstairs and sat in a wheel chair, but sometimes her Dad would bring her down or we would go up for a visit to see her. We lived on a kind, loving street with very good families.

Then another family moved in with five children and we welcomed them but they came from a different world. The world of a down town city. They only knew how to speak with foul language. Every second word was a swear word.
It didn't work well for us and we told them that if you want to play with us, that language had to change.
Since they wanted to play with us, they tried very hard to change and within a month or so hardly ever a bad word came out of their mouth.
I often wonder what happened to my friends How they grew up, what their lives were like.
Mine whisked me away to different parts of the world where I learned so many things and came back a totally changed person.
I never saw so much sorrow pain suffering and poverty . I also saw genuine kindness in so many peoples eyes and hearts willing to share what little they had. It was another world.
Then coming home to get culture shocked by people who had much more to be thankful for, but full of cruel intent, manipulations, and unconscionable behavior.
It made me very sad.
Ayn Rand came to mind as she taught people different values and these values changed people into human beings who were just not nice to hang with.
They use bad language and insist everything is ok.
It's ok for them to free themselves while forcing others to have to sit and deal with their ignorance and callousness which forces more laws to be passed to stop them.
They become lonely walking shells, pretending to be human.

New kind of people who constantly whine and complain about everything and blame every one for their misfortune except themselves.
They are told not to do something and fall and hurt themselves and suddenly it's your fault.
They expect something for nothing and don't raise a finger to help themselves.

I look at kids today and they are so different from our generation which had chores to do and behaved well into their 20's. Parents were strict and never was a harsh word ever spoken against a parent let alone a hand raised. Today the papers are full of senior abuse.
Old people were a blessing to talk to and help as opposed to today when they fear anyone approaching them.

Kids were of stronger mind. We were all spanked. We had bullies and learned how to deal with them rather than complain and threaten to kill ourselves.
Today I listen to the news and think people have nothing to do.
If they found things to do to keep busy, their minds would not be suffering so.
Idleness begets suffering.

My Grand mothers words keep coming to mind as she always said
Keep your hands busy and so I do and creation brings me a lot of joy.

I plant a seed and it sprouts a leaf.Looking at it I become a child again, experiencing the adventure of a birth in nature. Small things.
I go back in history and do like the Indians did.
Instead of recycling boxes I put leftovers into pots and top them with a flower. The flower nourishes itself . From potato peels news potatoes emerge.
I think if every one threw their potato peels into the forests, so many potatoes would grow and feed the animals who otherwise have nothing to eat and come to man's garbage cans to feed.

I was a child and now I am grown and old but my heart is still the same.
I think man, if he lets himself, has a lot to offer nature.
Cemented cities could use more trees.Rain buckets could support fish life which would eat any mosquito larvae aiding in preventing diseases from mosquito bites.

Keeping your own grass clippings to keep your yard from eroding. Why can't people keep a goat or a sheep or bunnies to cut the grass? Small things.

Angels sit on all our shoulders and they are born every year to people as gifts from God
so man could relearn what life takes him away from.
Living around Angels is a blessing no one should be without.

Have a great day. :)

Flowers of Life

I saw flowers, in a leafy green tree
They swayed so white and blue and gray
Changing shapes inside the green
They waved, Hello! Have a great day!

As I lazed upon the ground
My eyes were shaded from the sun
The flowers glowed, from up above
The golden rays enriched my blood

These flowers can't be picked or smelled
But I love them just as well
From them we get both sun and the rain
They always bloom from early spring.

The dawn of life turns into fall
But unlike leaves, they do not fall.
They do not wilt or fade away
They're always there,
Every great day!

A Lady's Life

These are not real flowers I am writing about but the spaces between the leaves which let through living energy to touch everything down below in shady areas.
These flowers never die because we have both deciduous trees and evergreens trees and oak with marcescent leaves.
So external life energy is always there to reach and rejuvenate your life energy.

Don't Just Smell the Flowers. Live Life!

Listening to the news today makes it difficult to keep your composure.
What a crazy world we live in.
9/11 lead to wars we did not need. I mean, we just needed Bin Laden right? Got side tracked there. Now global warming. Asteroids flying close to our planet, tsunamis. Nations still clawing for oil. Where is all this going and where will it end? Will our greed for oil lead to a planet imploding into a black hole? Did it happen before?

And then we see nature and how beautiful it is blooming around us, innocent and unaware of the battles taking place to keep it there.
It makes me wonder . Is there another such a battle going on for man, we do not know about?
Good vs Evil. Life over death?
I know we fight between ourselves but is there more?
Is there a pleasant surprise waiting for our salvation or will we forever reign in purgatory?
Always wondering, always fearing, always wanting.

I feast my eyes on the world and want to live realizing that this gift is not mine to demand or command. It will be what it will be.
But then, is what we know as life, only a dream?
Learning about such things as a cyber world and parallel universes, anything is possible.
All we need is to have faith that in the end, it is all as it should be.

All I keep thinking is, if disasters are to happen, let them happen far into the future, when my eyes can't see and my heart can't feel. When my children do not need to suffer.

We've been blessed for many years. Now we have other problems like population control and food production, things we were warned about in high school but landed on deaf ears.

Time is endless but it is something we can't buy
when it's needed.

Italian Inventions

Francis and Isabella were having their usual battle of the sexes. "Italian men are all stupid," screamed Isabella "Oh, yeah?" yelled her husband. "I'll have you know it was an Italian man who invented the toilet seat!" "And I'll have you know," said his wife, "it was an Italian woman who thought of putting a hole in it!"

birth and rebirth of our world

It is always a beautiful site to watch something develop and grow.
If you ever talked to plants, you would see they love the attention.
They grow better, root better, have colors which seem more vibrant and live longer knowing they are loved.

I would have never believed it if it didn't happen to me at work when
I decided one day, to root some cuttings and then plant them on my window sill.
I have never been able to grow plants that well and that quick since I stopped talking to them
and giving them the attention they yearn for and deserve.

People called me a girl with a green thumb back then but I know better. :)

Everything benefits from attention and love.
Flowers, people, paintings, oceans ...............

So remember to open your heart and eyes and love everything you see and do each day.
The world you create as a result. will be wonderful.
It's your world. :)

Have a great day!!!

Watch out For Pistols

I love this picture.
The flower, expressing strange and dangerous beauty,
has its' Cobra guards out searching for some action.
In the heart of traffic, a small work of natures' art.
What luck.

LIFE AFTER DEATH
"DO YOU BELIEVE IN LIFE AFTER DEATH?" THE BOSS ASKED ONE OF HIS EMPLOYEES.
"YES, SIR," THE NEW EMPLOYEE REPLIED.
"WELL, THEN, THAT MAKES EVERYTHING JUST FINE," THE BOSS WENT ON. "AFTER YOU LEFT EARLY YESTERDAY TO GO TO YOUR GRANDMOTHER'S FUNERAL, SHE STOPPED IN TO SEE YOU!

PALM SUNDAY

IT WAS PALM SUNDAY AND, BECAUSE OF A SORE THROAT, FIVE-YEAR-OLD JOHNNY STAYED HOME FROM CHURCH WITH A SITTER. WHEN THE FAMILY RETURNED HOME, THEY WERE CARRYING SEVERAL PALM BRANCHES. THE BOY ASKED WHAT THEY WERE FOR. "PEOPLE HELD THEM OVER JESUS' HEAD AS HE WALKED BY."
"WOULDN'T YOU KNOW IT," THE BOY FUMED, "THE ONE SUNDAY I DON'T GO, HE SHOWS UP!"

CHILDREN'S SERMON

ONE EASTER SUNDAY MORNING AS THE MINISTER WAS PREACHING THE CHILDREN'S SERMON, HE REACHED INTO HIS BAG OF PROPS AND PULLED OUT AN EGG. HE POINTED AT THE EGG AND ASKED THE CHILDREN, "WHAT'S IN HERE?" "I KNOW!" A LITTLE BOY EXCLAIMED. "PANTYHOSE !! "

SUPPORT A FAMILY

THE PROSPECTIVE FATHER-IN-LAW ASKED, "YOUNG MAN, CAN YOU SUPPORT A FAMILY?"
THE SURPRISED GROOM-TO-BE REPLIED, "WELL, NO. I WAS JUST PLANNING TO SUPPORT YOUR DAUGHTER. THE REST OF YOU WILL HAVE TO FEND FOR YOURSELVES."

FIRST TIME USHERS

A LITTLE BOY IN CHURCH FOR THE FIRST TIME WATCHED AS THE USHERS PASSED AROUND THE OFFERING PLATES.
WHEN THEY CAME NEAR HIS PEW, THE BOY SAID LOUDLY, "DON'T PAY FOR ME DADDY I'M UNDER FIVE."

CLIMB THE WALLS
"OH, I SURE AM HAPPY TO SEE YOU," THE LITTLE BOY SAID TO HIS GRANDMOTHER ON HIS MOTHER'S SIDE. "NOW MAYBE DADDY WILL DO THE TRICK HE HAS BEEN PROMISING US."
THE GRANDMOTHER WAS CURIOUS. "WHAT TRICK IS THAT?" SHE ASKED.
"I HEARD HIM TELL MOMMY THAT HE WOULD CLIMB THE WALLS IF YOU CAME TO VISIT," THE LITTLE BOY ANSWERED.

THE WATER PISTOL
WHEN MY THREE-YEAR-OLD SON OPENED THE BIRTHDAY GIFT FROM HIS GRANDMOTHER, HE DISCOVERED A WATER PISTOL... HE SQUEALED WITH DELIGHT AND HEADED FOR THE NEAREST SINK.
I WAS NOT SO PLEASED.

I TURNED TO MOM AND SAID, "I'M SURPRISED AT YOU. DON'T YOU REMEMBER HOW WE USED TO DRIVE YOU CRAZY WITH WATER GUNS?"
MOM SMILED AND THEN REPLIED..... "I REMEMBER!!"

GRANDMA'S AGE
LITTLE JOHNNY ASKED HIS GRANDMA HOW OLD SHE WAS.
GRANDMA ANSWERED, "39, AND HOLDING."
JOHNNY THOUGHT FOR A MOMENT, AND THEN SAID, "AND HOW OLD WOULD YOU BE IF YOU LET GO?"

Benched Pretty

I could not pass by this Mama Pig and Piglet Bench and not take a picture of it.
It was so cute and peaceful like sitting on the street in front of a store.
Certainly something which would look nice in a garden.

Never Choke in a Restaurant in the South!

Two hillbillies walk into a restaurant. While having a bite to eat, they talk about their moonshine operation.

Suddenly, a woman at a nearby table, who is eating a sandwich, begins to cough. After a minute or so, it becomes apparent that she is in

real distress.

One of the hillbillies looks at her and says, 'Kin ya swallar?'

The woman shakes her head no.
Then he asks,'Kin ya breathe?'The woman begins to turn blue and shakes her head no.

The hillbilly walks over to the woman, lifts up her dress, yanks down her drawers and quickly gives her right butt cheek a lick with his tongue.

The woman is so shocked that she has a violent spasm and the obstruction flies out of her mouth. As she begins to breathe again, the Hillbilly walks slowly back to his table.

His partner says, 'Ya know, I'd heerd of that there 'Hind Lick Maneuver' but I ain't niver seed nobody do it!'

Life in Pink

It's too bad Arnold Schwarzenegger had this little misunderstanding because
English isn't his native language.

He told Maria (his wife) that their housekeeper wanted a raise.

Maria said, "Screw her."

Any simple-minded, semi-literate Austrian could have made the same mistake,
Right?
---------------------------

The above flower was again on a vine and the more you look at these vines the more you like them.
BC is wonderful when it comes to growing flowers. We have plenty of rain this year which makes it easier on the gardners.
In Steveston they opened up small unused areas between houses to make community gardens.
I always find this enlightening. Every house gets a wooden frame to grow anything they like in .

Lots of women were working and enjoying their day around their gardens although I must admit it was very hot yesterday and I wonder how they planned on watering each box. If you don't live across the street, you'd need an extremely long hose to drag out there for the job and or keep barrels full of water to use every day as needed.
Usually, if we are lucky, it rains at night so the plants get water and you just do the weeding. But then again you also have to watch out for the birds helping themselves.
The pleasure you get if things are done right and results are seen, is stupendous.

Each little plant becomes your special baby and a big part of its' life is yours.
This is such a special connection people can share with nature and between each other as they can compare each others gardening skills as well as social skills.

If you don't have a box garden you may find growing potatoes in a garbage bag a lucrative investment. You roll the bag down and put in soil. Once the potatoes sprout to 10 cm shoots add more soil. Keep doing this till you reach the top. Then stop and let shoots mature.
Make holes for water to escape at the bottom, and water regularly.
et voila.
Soon you will have your own crop of potatoes.

Have a wonderful day !!

Sunday Glory

Today was a great day and my husband forced me to go out to enjoy the sunshine.
Usually I try to escape the sun because I think it gets too hot and I burn fast.
But today was wonderful. We went to Steveston . The place was packed with people and good food.
The smell of coffee was incredible!
I took lots of pictures to share and the one on top is one such flower Beautiful British Columbia
has to share with the world.
It looks almost like a delicate flower made of crepe paper but it isn't and grows on a vine.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. :)
Hope you had a great Sunday!!
:)

A riddle for the day

Arnold Schwarzenegger has a big one.

Michael J. Fox has a small one.

Madonna doesn't have one.

The Pope has one but doesn't use it.

Clinton uses his all the time.

Mickey Mouse has an unusual one.

Liberace never used his on women.

Jerry Seinfeld is very, very proud of his.

Cher claims that she took on 3.

We never saw Lucy use Desi's.

What is it? Answer below! (this is pretty good )

----------------------------------------------------------

The answer is: "A Last Name."

An efficiency expert concluded his lecture with a note of caution. "You don't want to try these techniques at home." "Why not?" asked somebody from the audience. "I watched my wife's routine at breakfast for years," the expert explained. "She made lots of trips between the refrigerator, stove, table and cabinets, often carrying a single item at a time. One day I told her, 'Hon, why don't you try carrying several things at once?'" "Did it save time?" the person in the audience asked. "Actually, yes," replied the expert. "It used to take her 20 minutes to make breakfast. Now I do it in seven."

Spring Fever

Good Day to EVERY ONE!!

Spring Fever has finally struck.
We have a gorgeous day today.

Above I have a collage with a picture of my tulips and hyacinths
the now old cape with flowers , since I now began another one to replace it with in knitting.
I will have to make a crochet hat to match the one with flowers.
That's how work accumulates. lol

And

I made the pieces for a small candy wrapper bag . It needs the parts to be sewed together now.
I am hoping I will know how to do this and then the project will be finished and I will know I can play with paper on a boring day someday and make purses lol which are useful things.
Sometimes you may need something special to match your attire and if you can get the right colors, you can make it at home faster than you can find something suitable in a store.
It is similar to origami.

I think they are worth making and teaching girls keeps you busy and happy.
Everything people learn in life, is good.

Have a good one!!

Moods Warmth and Truth in Flowers

All things in life are temporary.
If going well enjoy it, they will not last forever.
If going wrong don't worry, they can't last long either.

Stutterers Living in the USA - from Howard D - added January 25, 2009

During the Buffalo conference, a busload of us went up to Canada. When we got to the border upon our return to the US, an immigration officer came on board the bus.

In a less than friendly, and far too authoritarian tone, he told us that all he needed to know from each of us was our country of citizenship. He then proceeded down the aisle, stopping at each row of seats, and pointing to each person. "Citizenship?" he said, as he pointed at each person.

Talk about performance anxiety! The first couple of "U...U...U...S's" seemed to go over his head, but after a few more, he started getting suspicious, curious, and concerned. Finally, someone explained to him who we were, and he relaxed.

But it was one of the funniest stuttering experiences of my life.

Moods

Insane I walk on full moons beams

I know the path. I walk up streams.

They cool my feet while my soul burns

Like hot red coals on water steams

The embers flick off of my brain

And scatter quickly but refrain

From speaking out explaining why

It is they flicker, just to die.

So aimlessly and without cause

Like me, they circle up and pause

Then look around as though to see

IF someone else lurks round like me.

Then clouds surround and crowd the moon

My eyes they close, I start to swoon,

Oh blissful sleep, how long I've waited

The peace you bring is clearly understated.

The embers cool, my feet grow warm

Insanity departs in scorn

And leaves me all alone to lie

Till morrow brings a friendlier sky

The Scent of Nature

My Dad lived close to a wild blueberry forest. We used to go picking blue berries there every July/August,Which resulted in buckets full of frozen berries for winter as well as jam.

As we picked we always had to be on the look out for bears, not that we ever sawany but it was suggested that there might be a few of them around.

In September he would go and collect the leaves from these bushes, dry them and keep them in an air proof bag till he was ready to drink it as tea and boy ,was it good tea.!!

He also had Crysanthemums he would collect flowers from, leaves from the apple and plum tree and goose berries.

As a result, I got interested in this sort of stuff.

I Love making perfume.

If you go outside there are so many wild flowers you can collect as well as those which you grow in your own yard. Well I collected some and decided I would try something.

I put lots of different flowers into a large pot half filled with water. Then I added half a bottle of virgin olive oil to it and began to simmer the pot till the water almost evaporated at which point , I took out the flowers and allowed the water to continue to simmer till I felt just the oil was left.

I added a bit of vodka so the scent , the oil absorbed from the flowers, would remain.

When it cooled I poured it into little bottles with corks and put it away.

Needless to say I was not doing a professional job. I was just trying it out to see if it worked.

What I had was essence I could burn or put into a candle or even into dried flowers to use in your closet.

I also had this very soft smelling, a bit oily, substance I could rub on my face and skin making it feel soooooo nice.

I was sold. ....AND the biggy……is that I know exactly what was put into the scent. Nothing was put in that would hurt me.

Well, me being me, ( the fun is in making the things not using them) I put the bottles away and naturally forgot about them for maybe a good five years.

Today I found one bottle and tried my perfume and could not believe how exquisite it had become.

I put just a bit on my hand and it smells so wonderful, I could smell it all day.

After spending 50 dollars each, on my sons Versace and David Beckham after shave, for his birthday, I would say mine smells so much nicer.

And cost me a lot cheaper especially with all the essence I got out of it.

Yes Nature is beautiful and provides for everything. All you have to do is go out and find it.

Now I am thinking I should try the lemon grass they sell for cooking at the Superstore.

Too bad I didn’t record what I did but by trial and error you could create wonderful stuff.

This blog explains how to do this the right way loll

If anyone wants to give it a go.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Octobers' Eggfold

These are eggs I painted a while back , in 2008, which are waiting to be varnished.
I know because I put the date on the back of them. lol
Otherwise time flies and you do not remember.
They are empty inside so they are very delicate.
I thought they would be nice to display for Thanksgiving as well as the doilies which my son seemed to like. The little bamboo bridge was also made by my son for a school project 4 years ago.
It had to withstand 250 pounds of pressure.

Tread Softly Glory

Tread Softly Glory so my Eyes can see
Love and Peace
Haloed in Life and Dignity

Tread softly Glory on paths softened
By Faith and Salvation
Tread softly Glory so we remember
Our battle for truth justice and freedom

Tread softly so we can smile and
Touch the tails of your skirt
For posterity.
Tread Softly Glory
In humbleness and awe, in
Honor of God's kindness, guidance
and forgiveness

Sing Loudly Glory so we can hear you
Through all of Heaven's hail storms
And follow in your eternal blessed footsteps
Wherever they may lead us.

A Golden Lady

I thought, should I pick her and take her home?
Or should I leave her where she was born?
Should I let people smell her or tell them to leave?
Is she there to remind us of beauty and love?

I thought, should I pick her from ground so low?
Should I count the petals eenie meenie meinie moe?
Should I tear them off asking if he loves me or not?
Tell me Golden head, what are your thoughts?

The flower looked up into the sun
Her flowery scent was blown by the wind
The flowers all crouched and looked up to her
I couldn't pick, a golden lady, in prayer.

Sunny Sunflowers

Well it is sunflower season once again.
We can find such pretty heads gazing at you surrounded by other flowers
equally as beautiful.
Our family used to love sunflowers and we'd sit eating seeds trying to see
who would grow the longest sunflower beard.
Some may think this is gross but for kids, who do gross things anyway,
this was a lot of fun to do.
No one thought to take pictures however.
hmmmm.

What Perks Up a Bad Hair Day?

This boy should soon have a very fertile and thick head of hair lol
You know how they say talking to flowers makes them grow better for some reason?

Well my flowers must know I am in a, not so good a mood these days and they are speaking to me.

They bloomed all over the yard, all at once and really perked me up.

I mostly plant roses because of the slugs. They eat everything else.

The flowers said: " Don't worry Moma. Tomorrow is another day and till then, we are here to keep you joyous." lol

I don't know who gets more depressed.

The kids for losing or the Moms because they see depressed teens after they lose,

to whom they are not allowed to speak to lol

I still hear my own Moms voice saying : "Should everything be nice ."

I think she did a better job of keeping things nice than I do.

But then they were allowed to spank and keep order in the house in them days. lol

Every time I look out the window today, I feel soooo blessed with the sun and the flowers.

I even put my turkey in to cook earlier. lol

Need some wicked tips for the day?

Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them while you chop.(Any volunteer Referees?)

Avoid arguments with the Mr. about lifting the toilet seat by letting him use the sink. They do anyway. Especially the visitors.

For high blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember to use a timer. or go give blood at the blood bank and get a cookie,

A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button. Or better yet, go ahead and snooze, Your job won't be there anyway.

If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives; then you'll be afraid to cough. Or wear depends. :)

You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape. Note: Neither works under water.Use at your own risk.

Remember: Everyone seems normal, sick or gay....... until you get to know them.
If you are high.....you won't care either way.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical
problem. Sometimes a little electro therapy fixes a lot of things.

Daily Thought:

SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES; NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.

Except when they learn to slink back up.

Oh, this has truly become a terrific day :)

My coffee is ready and so I will get to it.
