Around Kingfisher Oceanside Resort.

They were trying to make everything look a part of the environment.
Even the grass felt mossy and very soft.
The gardeners said it rains a lot and there is a harsh wind that comes in from the ocean.

This is the Kingfisher Oceanside Resort Hotel.
When we arrived it didn't look like this picture.
I believed the whole front building wasn't there and we were in the residences behind the little square house which had the heated pool.
The front of the building was a level lower and we never saw it.
The grounds were meticulously taken care of but the building from the entrance looked a bit shabby.
The rooms were very nice, but I found the mattresses hard to sleep on.
the restaurant served wonderful food.
When we tried to leave the room we found out the lock was broken and although it locked, the door was easily opened with a small push so we had to move to another room.
They were very nice about that.

This was our view from our room. The sliding door opened to a nice patio with chairs to sit on.
The air was very fresh and cool. It had a wonderful feeling to it.
This is the first hotel which asked its guests to drink their tap water.
So we did and it was very tasty water.

This was a nice gazebo beside the pool to have tea in and enjoy
Can you believe there was another building in front? You just see the ocean.

They were trying to make everything look a part of the environment.
Even the grass felt mossy and very soft.
The gardeners said it rains a lot and there is a harsh wind that comes in from the ocean.

Another wood carving

another wood sculpture. It looks like an eye.

Entrance to the heated pool area
Stork sculpture made of wood.

It has an old tennis court out front in the entrance, sauna, fitness room, etc..
Walking around this place made you feel calm, peaceful and relaxed.
People are very nice and the view is extremely special and I just couldn't get over the air quality.
I never wanted to go back into my room and this is rare because I always like to enjoy my room. lol
Have a good one.

People......People Who Need People

We jumped over hump day Wednesday and now it's dull Thursday.
One more day to look forward to before the week end.
That should bring a smile to every ones face.

Love Gives

Love ever
gives, forgives, outlives,
and ever stands
with open hands,
for while it lives, it gives.
For this is love's prerogative—
to give, and give,
and give."

Have a great day every one!

Day of Wonder

Life is like a book. Each day is a new page. May your book be a bestseller with adventures to tell, lessons to learn and tales of good deeds to remember.

A smile is a language even a baby understands. It costs nothing but it creates much. It happens in a flash but the memory of it may last forever. Keep on smiling!

The happiest person doesn't have the best of everything in life. Perhaps he is just good in making the best of everything that life brings along his way. Stay happy always!

Learn to appreciate the rainbow after cursing the rain. It's just like loving again after experiencing the pain!

The beauty of life does not depend on how happy you are, but on how happy others can be... because of you. God Bless!

It is the heart that makes a man rich. He is rich according to what he is, not according to what he has. Hello to one of the richest persons I know. God Bless!

It's not the possession of good things that bring happiness. It is the ability to enjoy what comes. Happiness is an attitude.

Love is like a butterfly. The more you chase it, the more it eludes you. But if you just let it fly, it would come to you when you least expect it.

In words, love can be read. In actions, love can be measured. But others don't know that even in silence, love can be heard.

Flowers of Life

I saw flowers, in a leafy green tree
They swayed so white and blue and gray
Changing shapes inside the green
They waved, Hello! Have a great day!

As I lazed upon the ground
My eyes were shaded from the sun
The flowers glowed, from up above
The golden rays enriched my blood

These flowers can't be picked or smelled
But I love them just as well
From them we get both sun and the rain
They always bloom from early spring.

The dawn of life turns into fall
But unlike leaves, they do not fall.
They do not wilt or fade away
They're always there,
Every great day!

A Lady's Life

These are not real flowers I am writing about but the spaces between the leaves which let through living energy to touch everything down below in shady areas.
These flowers never die because we have both deciduous trees and evergreens trees and oak with marcescent leaves.
So external life energy is always there to reach and rejuvenate your life energy.

Golden Goose

Today I was reading some blogs and they were a source of inspiration to me.
I smiled and mentally caressed every one's spirit as I saw them uplift their lifes' journey
within their homes and communities.
And it is on days like this I can really have hope for the future of mankind.
People coming together, doing what's right and good
just for the sake of right and good.

Of course the papers are still full of bad news.
One old man sitting in a wheel chair was accosted, beaten almost to a pulp for a few dollars he had in his pocket.
Instead of calling for help he hid inside his house for a few days and then came out to show his wounds.
Takes a very brave man to do something like this to an old crippled person.
Probably if he needed it for a good cause, the old man would have given it to him voluntarily but he probably needed it for drugs and booze so he beat him up.

One young man came desperately to ask for money for bus fare for him and his friend.
He asked for 6.50 so I gave it to him and then he said each. So I gave it to him.
But I did not see him go to the bus. Instead he went to White Spot.

Another time a man came to ask for money to buy propane for his car.
I gave it to him.
Instead of going to the gas station across the street he kept going in the opposite direction with his back pack. He had no propane car to fill. He was a drifter.

Another time an old crippled woman was standing outside Superstore begging for money. She said she gets beaten at home by her family if she doesn't bring something home.
I gave her money and she follows me in the parking lot every time I go there.

Another man was standing in front of London Drugs begging for money to buy his girlfriend diapers and things she needs for her baby. I gave him and told him to make sure he spends on what he says he needs it for. He assured me he would but I could see on his face that he thought this must be a lucky place to stand to get more than what I gave him.

Another man asked for five dollars for food. I gave him and the first thing he did was run into a tavern.
Another man was living under the bridge beside a train track. My neighbor brought him to our attention and said he needs help so she brings him coffee food etc... So I sent my son with food, coffee and some things like socks a hat and gloves. We found them thrown away with the food bags when he left.
My neighbor said she wanted to invite him to stay at her house so he could wash up but her husband said no. Her argument was, what was he going to do kill me?
Well turns out he was a killer. lol

One woman walks around with her bicycle asking for bottles to recycle. People give her.
My son asked her why she was doing this and she pointed to her Mercedes and said, how do you think I could afford this?

When a person asks for money I usually cave in and give them, fully aware that they are lying to me.
but then there might be a good person out there truly in dire need and not be shown charity because of some horrible people who lie cheat steal and prey on peoples good will.

These are the people who spoil everything for everyone and as the world gets poorer and there is less to share, I wonder who that woman with the Mercedes will share her blessings with since she cheats the poor who also walk in the cold with arthritis and sores all over their bodies needing money for food and shelter.

And the young man who asked for bus fare, and the guy who needed money for his girlfriends baby?
I often wonder, am I a golden goose? Did I make a small difference in their lives or did they look upon me as a sucker?

The older you get the more such stories you have to tell.

One mother had three kids.
She makes them to get welfare.
Well the kids are friends of your kids and come begging for food when you have dinner.
So you let them in once, twice... eventually they become your kids while the parents spend the money they get on cigarettes beer drugs and bullets.
Saying no does not become an option any more. Then they have birthdays christmas and need school clothes and supplies. If you give them toys they arrogantly throw them away.

You sit and think and shake your head and wonder how does God fit into all this?
Would saying no be a good thing to do in all these cases or would it turn them into desperadoes like the guy who beat up the old man?
Did the guy who asked for bus money have a gun in his pocket?
Did you save a hungry child from malnutrition?
Our city passed laws against street begging and now our duty is to report such people so they are investigated and helped accordingly.

With the world going the way it is, nothing is written in stone.
Tomorrow can be your day to beg for a morsel of food and charity because the system failed you.
No job, stolen pension, weak welfare system and high cost of living.
A penny saved runs through bills fast.
So the next question is why have a system which has no hope in the world to succeed?

You can give a man a fish and feed him but what he really needs is a fishing rod so he can catch his own.

Have a great day!

Christmas Countdown

Time to decorate.
Spic and polish
Fill your home full
Of jam and relish
The lit candles in the window
Festive table, golden geese
It is time to move
No time like now
No excuses , no boo hoos, no sob stories
come what may
Open windows to a clear night sky
Expose your self
To everlasting life.
Fill your lungs and breathe so you can feel
Love it.
Embrace it
And Thank God!
Cause you're Alive!

words of inspiration

The gourmant of Lillouette
A fundamental grackle
Sat on a fence entablature
And watched the sea dog gambol.

A king bird bobbing to and fro
A Roland knave and then some
Waited till the sea dog slept
To ping his head a pin hole

The pink eyed sailor jumped and yelled
"Hey! Why did you do that for?"
The gourmant bird gave him a smirk
"A pin hole pint for me sir."

The sailor scratched and sat up right
Recusant as a red head
He said:"You rotten little bird.
You might have asked to share some."

And then he put on his skull cap
And grabbed his shimmery sword
And swaying, drank another swig
of brandy to his lord.

And still a swaying, he did leave
back to his lady fair
The sails of which he loved the most
A shasta daisy, in the wind.

A Lady's Life

Have a great day!

P.S. And for those who heard about changes on Ryanair , trains in Amsterdam also offer toilet bags between stations which jelly in 3-5 seconds, what you put inside them.
Easy for men but how are women to do it? lol

What if..........

To think, how many things take place right at this spot.
Before the mushrooms, this was a wasp haven.
Right beside the driveway, they had a very nice nest and were very happy to fly around your legs when you got in and out of the car.
Thank fully they never bit anyone.
In spring, tulips , daffodils and Jasmin spring out
and winter will have new smells for the critters to investigate.
Nature sure is swell.

---------------------------------------------------------
So the story goes like this.

Looking back, life becomes a diagram, where by we can follow points A.. to.. B.. B ...to C ...etc.. and each point is where a decision had to be made as to which direction to go in.
And what exactly determines the decisions you make?

Why not take the A-Z straight road, right on through?

Well, we meet up with stop signs where we have to take a breather to look around and see what's up.
A lot depends on how you feel at the moment.

Are we tired, sick, ambitious, lonely, depressed, have a broken leg?
Each feeling will enable us to decide the next move as to whether we want a jog up hill, down hill, walk or just sit and spend the night or maybe two.
These are the first things we pay attention to making your life decisions but, Then come the secondary thoughts like:

weather,
money, maturity, our love situation, peer pressure, fear of either success or failure, etc..... What is more important to us at that moment?

Throughout life, as the diagram begins to look more like a pattern of behavior, we can maybe decide what we can change, what we would have changed and how we can change the direction our life is going.

Then once we have our changes and the path , direction or life pattern corrected to go to the final destination, oh oh.........something else happens.

More Stops we did not plan.

Illness of a parent.
Children , spouse complications,
Job problems,
Changes in political objectives.
Hurricanes, fires,
etc...

so no matter how much we want to reach point Z, obstacles keep falling to obstruct our path.

So we sit down at say, point F, and then we think.....

Geez. How would life be different, if Dad did not meet Mom but married one of his other girl friends?
What would have happened if we didn't live in the country we live in?
What if we lived in the city instead of the country?
What would have happened if we had no money growing up or if we had money?

Where would we be if we had too many friends or not enough friends?
Where would we be if we had talents or had no talents?

Where would we be if we pursued the career we wanted, instead of the one we were led into?

What would have happened if we didn't listen to people and the news ( the world will end today type of dogma or The Stock Market, Oprah or the View).?

The list goes on as each question becomes more personal.

We love to beat ourselves up every day for our successes and failures but the fact of the matter is, some things are unobtainable and just not in our hands to change.

Things happen and no matter how hard we try to reach a certain point in our life, chances are
it may never happen.

The questions though, are interesting as a mind empowering exercise.

What if?..........................

So this is how the story goes...... one step at a time, one direction at a time forming a pattern of a life that has your name on it. The pattern may or may not be of your making but.........
this is you.

How do you like you?

How would you change you?
Would you?

The way we answer these questions may either give us great anxiety or
by acceptance, provide us with great peace.

The biggest question is what would have happened if we just ignored everything and walked right through from A to Z?

What if........ is not really a question pertaining to life.
What is ......is more realistic and easier to accept and deal with.
Never the less......the story goes like this.
Before the mushrooms, wasps and flowers
Once upon a time, there lived a life
and it was me.

Have a great day

A Blue Rose

Having four visiting family members, my wife was very busy, so I offered to go to the store for her to get some needed items, which included light bulbs, paper towels, trash bags, detergent and Clorox. So off I went.

I scurried around the store, gathered up my goodies and headed for the checkout counter, only to be blocked in the narrow aisle by a young man who appeared to be about sixteen-years-old. I wasn't in a hurry, so I patiently waited for the boy to realize that I was there. This was when he waved his hands excitedly in the air and declared in a loud voice, "Mommy, I'm over here."

It was obvious now, he was mentally challenged and also startled as he turned and saw me standing so close to him, waiting to squeeze by. His eyes widened and surprise exploded on his face as I said, "Hey Buddy, what's your name?"

"My name is Denny and I'm shopping with my mother," he responded proudly.

"Wow," I said, "that's a cool name; I wish my name was Denny, but my name is Steve."

"Steve, like Severing?" he asked. "Yes," I answered. "How old are you Denny?"

"How old am I now, Mommy?" he asked his mother as she slowly came over from the next aisle.

"You're fifteen-years-old Denny; now be a good boy and let the man pass by."

I acknowledged her and continued to talk to Denny for several more minutes about summer, bicycles and school. I watched his brown eyes dance with excitement, because he was the centre of someone's attention. He then abruptly turned and headed toward the toy section.

Denny's mom had a puzzled look on her face and thanked me for taking the time to talk with her son. She told me that most people wouldn't even look at him, much less talk to him.

I told her that it was my pleasure and then I said something I have no idea where it came from, other than by the prompting of the Holy Spirit. I told her that there are plenty of red, yellow, and pink roses in God's Garden; however, "Blue Roses" are very rare and should be appreciated for their beauty and distinctiveness. You see, Denny is a Blue Rose and if someone doesn't stop and smell that rose with their heart and touch that rose with their kindness, then they've missed a blessing from God.

She was silent for a second, then with a tear in her eye she asked, "Who are you?"

Without thinking I said, "Oh, I'm probably just a dandelion, but I sure love living in God's garden."

She reached out, squeezed my hand and said, "God bless you!" and then I had tears in my eyes.

May I suggest, the next time you see a
BLUE ROSE, whichever differences that person may have, don't turn your head and walk off. Take the time to smile and say Hello. Why? Because, by the grace of GOD, this mother or father could be you. This could be your child, grandchild, niece, nephew or any other family member. What a difference a moment can mean to that person or their family.

From an old dandelion! Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly.
Leave the rest to the powers that be.

Fall Inspiration

This will take your breath away. Life is like the paintbrush changing the colors of the forest and the sky. One moment you are sad, another moment, life hurls you up into breath taking sights and feelings, you never thought possible and it is all incredibly beautiful as a whole picture, because it leaves you with memories, understanding, maturity, and wisdom an inexperienced soul , who hasn't taken the journey, will never understand.

This leaves you with questions as to who should lead the world, the impulsive young or the old who tend to be more careful?
Who understands change better?
Who is uncorrupted and pure?
Should we strive towards perfection or let life slide into imperfection, saying everything is ok?

It depends in what society you live in and what it believes in.
Is it ok to force change on people and if so, then when is it ok or maybe not ok?

When dealing with the UN, the idea is to help in man's humanity to man.
No matter what philosophy religion or political ideology you believe in, it must not
destroy another man woman or child in the process and if it does then, the humble and weak must be helped.
The problem is when the humble and the weak do not understand what you are doing.
It always has to get worse before it gets better.

Or so they say :)

Have a great day!

Motivated by Life

It is very difficult to keep oneself motivated in this trouble encompassed world.
Every where you look, disaster strikes and then, strikes again and again and again.

My grand mothers' story was all about running. That's all they did back from the early 1900's when civil war, war and revolutions were prevalent.
It was only in North America where they finally found peace, stability, jobs and most of all kindness. By then these people were hard, mature, with strict work ethics. Their goal was to never suffer hunger again. Very few could cry as life had desensitized them from tears. They saw too much sorrow in their lives and lived in survival mode. Todays' youth would never understand these people because they have not suffered. Todays' youth are arrogant but very easy to break because they are not taught what fighting for existence really entails. They believe in their rights to it and now nature is showing everyone, that the truth of the matter is that no one has rights at all. What people have, is privilege.

What is motivational in todays' world, is to see people fighting back to stop cruelty, grief and loss.
Some things cannot be stopped

I wonder. What happens to all these people with mortgages they have to pay, after a hurricane strikes and takes away not only everything they own but places where they earn a living?

What do the banks do to collect their monthly checks?
Do they come and foreclose? Do they declare themselves bankrupt as the people have to??
lol Are their mortgage loans not insured and if they are, then do they not cover their clients as well?

I hate to think that while people mourn, these bankers are sitting thinking, what will all these lawyers they hire who need customers to foreclose, to pay their salaries, come up with next?

Then the thought creeps up, that what if they didn't hire these lawyers to begin with, save their money and help people keep their houses. Wouldn't life be easier on everyone as a whole?
Isn't this the dream they sell people, that they buy and own a home, an asset they value?

But homes today, are not valued. They are treated in the same shabby way people treat each other.

In financial circles they do not look at humanity but financial pages and they, unlike life, are very black and white . Lawyers are hired to destroy people so the financial pages look better for the stock market.
They do not care to see the big picture, that the stock market will never look good if the people are not there to support it.
Destroy the people, destroy the market. People will rebel.

Today, families do not work in a pack mode.
Today they work in a "what is in it for me" mode.

If there is nothing in it for me, then I do not need to do anything.
So we raise people today, to be very short sighted in their views of what life , marriage, and family is all about. As morals and values change, things that once were important, are not.
As a result we see more and more parents killing their children. If they can kill children then nothing stops them from killing old people.
Under different conditions,
it's so easy to walk away or take something away from someone.

As the bank looks for easy ways to bankrupt you, your family also looks for a way to bankrupt you.
The straw that breaks the camels back is when nature also attacks and totally bank rupts everyone.
It is only then that people begin to realize that the "what's in it for me" mode, doesn't apply anymore and angels appear all around trying to give a helping hand.
But even angels eventually have limits. There are not enough of them around.

As a system of barter begins to replace money, spirits and faith in goodness and love
begin to flower once again.
Once again God is revived and man, once again, begins to value what is important in life.
He acknowledges that there is a right and a wrong and that life is a privilege and not a right.

God seems to represent poverty and humbleness. When man becomes rich and can afford to be arrogant, God is put away, attacked and forgotten, until he resurrects again and he will resurrect as he always does, as long as we put our faith into money and banks, instead of in people. lol

There in lies the secret of where true riches is found, in the words and teachings of the true shepherd , protector and defender of mankind.
:)
Have a great Day!

Light After Darkness

Picture taken in Washington,DC

Light after darkness, gain after loss,
Strength after suffering, crown after cross.
Sweet after bitter, song after sigh,
Home after wandering, praise after cry.

Sheaves after sowing, sun after rain,
Sight after mystery, peace after pain.
Joy after sorrow, calm after blast,
Rest after weariness, sweet rest at last.

Near after distant, gleam after gloom,
Love after loneliness, life after tomb.
After long agony, rapture of bliss!
Right was the pathway leading to this!

Light after darkness

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR

I guess holidays mean different things to different people.

This particular holiday for me is in celebration of our Jesus's birth.
We call it a Christmas Day.

As the Christ grew he learned many things. He tried to teach and shepherd many
into understanding what humanity is and how important it is to behave since
we have the potential to self destruct.

Peace on Earth and Good Will to Men he preached.
To all men who believe in his Father.

For he is the Father to us all.

It sounds rather funny that we fight over our prophets and religious leaders, because
they are all speaking in the name of the ONE FATHER and his message to all is to live in peace.
understand one another, love one another, accept one another.
Why do we not hear and understand?

Jesus was no different.
Did he exist?
Is he a fable? A legend??
Does it matter?

What matters is that to this day
we criticize one another as if we did not all have and know
THE GOOD THE BAD and THE UGLY.

We demonstrate this when we destroy what is good and replace it with
what hurts innocent people, families and children.

When we take pride in sin and the wicked, saying everything is ok,
we deny them hearing what is good, gentle and kind.
This is what Jesus stood for and loved.
Because of his ideas, people come of their own free will, to love him.

We can't help any one if they do not understand why we are protecting them,
for we took out the most important person in whose
name we are doing all these things for.......
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. For this is who Jesus stood for.
This is who he was.

On this day we try to share in the good by greeting each other with joy and
gift exchanging as the wise men who followed a star, did,
casting away the bad and the ugly from the spirit of mankind,
which was, even then, hunting and killing, new born babes.

So on this Note I wish every one a Very Merry Christmas!!!!!
May there be enough turkey and cranberries and love feasting at your table .
May every day be filled with the spirit of Christmas as you walk through
your paths in life.

If only every day were Christmas. What a glorious world this would be.
God Bless you all!!!

Christmas. The Essence of Mankind.

As the snowy, cold, festive season approaches, many sit depressed,
to see life isn't cracked up to what they thought it would be.

The ho hum life of getting up in the morning,
getting ready for school or a job they hate.
Maybe housecleaning is not a forte they enjoy
but the dishes are piled up from the night before.
What is one to do?

I can't help but go back to when people had nothing after the war.
People like my grand mother and even my parents whose youth and even life,
was lost, in running from fear, sitting in labor camps and receiving beatings in front of sharp toothed German Shepherds.

That to me, would be very depressing.
I would be angry to have some one rip my life away like this
Not these people.
They were survivors.

They saw the humor in things going wrong. They understood the world's insanity.
It looked pretty threatening and cold and yet it was wonderful
and people valued each other's warmth and
shared in what little there was to share.

What more could go wrong? They'd ask.
And sure enough something more always did and they
would find the humor in it and go on living,
working harder, to make it better.

One had to respect that.
I watched my grandparents and parents who took nothing for granted.
They blessed their food every day.
They took great pride in the shelter they owned working,
dollar down dollar a week. No job was too demeaning. They were free people.
Recycling was not something governments had to be involved in
Everyone knew to do that.
Every bolt, every screw could be reused somewhere else.

They worked and they grew their gardens and they pickled winter preserves, made their own jams, their own moon shine, their own juices, their own clothes and they had so much fun competing as to who made what the best, over a table eating cabbage soup with potatoes tomatoes, beets and meat the butcher cut from the cow or pig they brought to slaughter, animals they raised, on food they wanted to grow them on.

Simple fun in taking pride in what you do,
Becoming the best that you can be, at doing the things you know how to do.
Every one took part in helping every one, continuing to learn, and sharing in the bounty.

What happened to those people?
Where are they today?
No wonder life is boring.

There is no more craziness, no more life or living.

People are bored and heart broken and keep asking is this all there is?
They need to be entertained 24 hours a day.
Even actors can't keep up with the demand.

Today when we want something, we run to stores or whine and blame our parents and our government for things we don't have. We make them responsible for our lives, blame them for our shortcomings and failures, instead of taking pride in the life God made us a gift of.

Life is something to be treasured and celebrated.
It is a gift of breath and sight and wonder.
Every day is a new day to be experienced, in a new way and I have to say at this moment, that if you do not experience and learn something new every day, it is your own fault.

The world has so much to offer man, that there is no time for boredom or depression.
There is no time to sit idle believing solutions lie in drugs and alcohol.
No time to run away. Where are you running to anyway? What's out there that you can't find here? It's just another piece of soil.
One needs to stay awake to appreciate what there is out there and clouding ones eyes just makes it harder to see or fools gold.

We say wars are insane and the people who make them are insane but if we still keep searching for a way out, in a land of plenty..........
Is that not insanity too?

When will mankind ever be happy?
Mankind is never happy unless it suffers.
Only when a man suffers, does he see the light and the joy and meaning of life.

Every day we wake up is a blessing. Insanity is a blessing.
It gives us an outlet to laugh........and this is also a blessing.
When you laugh it's because you see the humor, the irony of life.
In humor, you also see the light to guide you.
Instead of a whiner, man takes pride in becoming a survivor.

Celebrating Christmas is a time of joy.
In spite of all the hardships Mary and Joseph encountered, they found hope in a good person who showed them where their baby could be born and they found joy in receiving a healthy baby boy in spite of all the odds against them and people, who came to share in their joy following a brightly lit star that guided them.
Christmas is a miracle story about simple people suffering and surviving
It is a story about the essence and greatness of mankind.

Life has no time for depression.
Every day is something to be celebrated because
every day is waking up to the pangs of new birth.
