Change

Life is about change. As seasons change so do relationships.
Some for the better and some for the not so better.
Exciting days ahead when kids head back to school
Every year they get older and wiser and adults become less so. lol

My once little boy changed
He helped today by painting the front door area.
Now the garage doors need to be done.
Eventually maybe we can change the whole house a bit.
It all takes time since rain will become an issue again.
So house changes are in the agenda this year.

New money is in for a change to be safer to use.
Every year they come up with new money and
it is hard to keep up especially globally it seems .

Even chicken changes.
Not only do they come in different sizes and colors but it seems in names too lol
Yup seasons bring in a lot of changes and why not?
It would be boring otherwise.

I would love to go back to Happy Days with the Fonz and
with Cookie combing his hair on 77 Sunset strip
but he was before my time with his black leather jacket.
Girls wore bobby socks and two tones penny loafers,
which looked like golf shoes.
Try getting our kids to wear those shoes today. lol
Car races were as popular then as they are today and just as deadly.

Money or Life?

Currently Locusts are eating away at Russia and we wonder why.
Similarly, other events are happening throughout the world.
Not only is man killing man but nature is killing animals and nothing and no one is safe these days, anywhere.

I guess our planet is going through change and adjustments to its' way of existence.
In BC we are worried about the Rocky Mountains going dry leaving the continent without potable water. Every drop is being accounted for.People in the Skeena River area, are fighting to keep coal gas and other mineral development out of BC. The costs of them losing this fight could have devastating effects on life as we know it.
Here we search for other ways to make a living, to heat our homes and run our cars.
The oil and gas companies punish us when we try to cut their services in our homes by charging more and not paying back what they owe in over payments. Life is a constant struggle to stay alive. In the meantime we see videos such as these below predicting an apocalypse as predicted in the Bible. The first thing to die is supposed to be the seas.










The thing about man, is that he has always been able to adapt to life around him.
If there are locusts, ways can be found to eat them.
If there are frog migrations, these could become a major food supply.

But dying birds, fish, crocodiles, whales etc..... these pose another problem as we do not know why they died and if this is the case, eating them could result in the end of man.

Prophesies aside, the world is changing and man is also dying in great numbers, maybe not from disease but from natural disasters and if this is not humbling enough,
then I don't know what is.

Today science and technology, bought and developed by the rich and super rich, leave the rest of us behind because no one knows who is doing what and why.

We have people like Jesse Ventura and his Conspiracy Theories, we have terrorists and their religious empire building and we have the unknown which can affect every one, everywhere, at any time, causing domino effects, from which nothing or no one is safe.

No one knows the future. However, it is important for man to be humble.He needs to understand that he can never be God, especially since he doesn't believe in him anyway, but just in case there is one???????? Well, it would be good to have him on your side.

Money or Life? In the end, these are the only two choices we have.

The First, cannot guarantee you the second.

Two business men in Florida were sitting down for a break in their soon to be new store. The store wasn't ready, with only a few shelves set up. One said to the other, "I bet any minute now some senior is going to walk by, put his face to the window, and ask what we're selling." No sooner were the words out of his mouth when, sure enough, a curious senior walked to the window, had a peek, and in a soft voice asked, "What are you sellin' here?" One of the men replied sarcastically, "We're selling ass-holes." Without skipping a beat, the old timer said, "Must be doing well... only two left."

Outside the Bristol Zoo, in England , there is a parking lot for 150 cars and 8 coaches, or buses.

It was manned by a very pleasant attendant with a ticket machine charging cars £1 (about $1.40) and coaches £5 (about $7).
This parking attendant worked there solid for all of 25 years.
Then, one day, he just didn't turn up for work.

"Oh well", said Bristol Zoo Management - "we'd better phone up the City Council and get them to send a new parking attendant..."

"Err ... no", said the Council, "that parking lot is your responsibility."

"Err ... no", said Bristol Zoo Management, "the attendant was employed by the City Council, wasn't he?"

"Err ... NO!" insisted the Council.

Sitting in his villa in somewhere in Spain, is a bloke who had been taking the parking lot fees, estimated at £400 (about $560) per day at Bristol Zoo for the last 25 years. Assuming 7 days a week, this amounts to just over £3.6 million ($7 million)!

A SLIP OF THE TONGUE An old priest got sick of everyone in his parish confessing adultery. During one Sunday's sermon he told them, "If one more person confesses to adultery, I'll quit!" Since everyone liked him, they decided to use a code word: ‘fallen’. From then on, anyone who had committed adultery said they had ‘fallen’. This satisfied the old priest and the parishioners, and everything was fine for years, until finally the old priest passed away at the ripe old age of 93. Shortly after, the new young priest settled in, he paid a call on the mayor. The priest was quite concerned. ‘You have to do something about the sidewalks in this town, Mayor. You can't believe how many people come into the confessional talking about having fallen!’ The mayor started to laugh, realizing that no one had explained their code word to the new priest. But before the mayor could explain, the priest shook his finger at the mayor and said - ‘I don't know why you're laughing; your wife fell three times last week!’

Prodigal Sons

In life people all take a beating.

One story from the Bible is about the Prodigal Son.

Prodigal - meaning wasteful and lavish.

The story goes that a father gave one son his inheritance and he went out into the world and wasted it.
As long as he had money he had friends and when the money was gone he ended up with nothing so he went home.
Just like the person who had sex without love, he castrated himself by spending his inheritance and ended up with nothing.

Even as a servant, his Father fed and paid better than the life he led without money in the outside world.


So he came back and his Father was so happy he gave him a fat calf and a ring.

This act hurt the son who stayed behind and worked to preserve the Fathers wealth and made it grow.

The story is simple and teaches or is supposed to teach that all three, father and two sons were prodigal.

To me the word prodigal refers to inheritance and finance but in this story it refers to feelings and actions as well.


The philosophy lies in between the times this story was told and todays world where a lot of things have changed.

In todays world those who do bad seem to be rewarded. We see this in families collecting social welfare for their mistakes,dead beat dads who keep going on making kids and women fighting over them, knowing full well they can't hold onto them.
We see this in private firms such as banks, insurance companies, Government, charity groups, churches and temples and companies selling stocks where CEO's help themselves to the money people entrust to them to do the right thing.

We see prodigal sons everywhere in this world, being rewarded for "mistakes".

The horrible difference lies in the fact that it is one thing when one makes an honest mistake and needs teaching to know the difference and quite another thing, when one goes to make mistakes knowing full well that they are doing wrong. This is not a mistake anymore.

If we are all prodigal sons, then where is the truth?
Where is the love?

When will society learn to live by example. Our children learn from the past. If there is nothing to teach, they will stop learning.

You cannot go through life making up excuses for bad behavior. If it is all ok, then there is nothing left to teach.
