Most of the other stuff is for girls.
As you can see I wish to have a little girl
since I love making dresses and
LITTLE girls love wearing them.
They all look so cute you want to gobble them up.:)
This blanky is for a boy.
I am quite proud of it as well.
It looks great in a crib.
Instead of buying a crib I used
an elephant chair for a new born,
which later can be transformed into
a very nice living room table
by putting a glass top over it.
Also if you have visitors with babies,
they can use it as well anytime, since
it's easy to take a top off a table.
An Elephant chair is also a great topic of discussion. Not too many kids have Elephant Chairs for beds.

The first thing I ever crocheted was a baby blanket, when I was pregnant with my first boy. :)
I'm having a hard time keeping up with all your sewing today LOL...they are all excellent :)
What a lovely blue blanket you crocheted!! What fine skills you have and you will be able to pass down these treasures someday when your own kids have kids!!
Lovely blanket! You are very talented.
Nice work there! Any little boy would be grateful for such a prize! :)
Sorry Thom I don't know how to put all this on one blog It keeps loading separately.
But I looked at many craft blogs and I did quite a few of my own so...
Whatever lol
Thanks all for visiting :)
What a lovely thing....just love it...always have
What is an elephant chair? How about a picture. I loved the blanket.
Wow, that is a lovely blanket. I can't see the elephant chair from the photo.
Perhaps you may show us in your forthcoming post. Thank you in advance,
I've never heard of an elephant chair?
What a great job on that blanket. It always feels extra nice to make something for little ones.
That is a GORGEOUS blanket. LOVE the color and design. :)
Your blanket is beautiful.
I love to crochet and knit and sew, patchwork quilting - anything by hand.
My daughter would never wear anything knit, frilly or too warm so I never got to do anything for her.
Show us the elephant. I don't know what it is either.
Your wish is my command and so I have it up today.
The other things I made you need to scroll down to see cause I took it off picassa and it loaded it blog by blog. Cumbersome.
I would have liked it all on one blog. lol
This computer is teaching me many new things but there is still so much to learn
Thanks all for your kind comments:)
That's so sweet! =) It looks like my baby blanket that my grandmother made for me before I was born, but mine was yellow instead of the blue. She love to work with her hand and is always knitting or sewing something but she's never learned to crochet, she had to learn to make the blanket and after that she never did it again, so it's very precious to me.

That's why I do these things. If my work means something to someone, like my grammas scarf means to me, I would consider myself blessed.
You have to think the person who made this has left his mark on the piece.I can see my Gramma every time I touch her work and then memories of our conversations float back and I think...she was some smart woman.
:)
Nessa - I have a knitting machine and I made Christmas purses and skirts for girls. I gave out maybe 6 skirts and purses to little girls of friends and they all loved them.
They wore them to school for Christmas plays etc....The purses are also easy to make just like the slippers and they look darling.
The girls really appreciate warm skirts in winter.:)
