What if..........

To think, how many things take place right at this spot.
Before the mushrooms, this was a wasp haven.
Right beside the driveway, they had a very nice nest and were very happy to fly around your legs when you got in and out of the car.
Thank fully they never bit anyone.
In spring, tulips , daffodils and Jasmin spring out
and winter will have new smells for the critters to investigate.
Nature sure is swell.

---------------------------------------------------------
So the story goes like this.

Looking back, life becomes a diagram, where by we can follow points A.. to.. B.. B ...to C ...etc.. and each point is where a decision had to be made as to which direction to go in.
And what exactly determines the decisions you make?

Why not take the A-Z straight road, right on through?

Well, we meet up with stop signs where we have to take a breather to look around and see what's up.
A lot depends on how you feel at the moment.

Are we tired, sick, ambitious, lonely, depressed, have a broken leg?
Each feeling will enable us to decide the next move as to whether we want a jog up hill, down hill, walk or just sit and spend the night or maybe two.
These are the first things we pay attention to making your life decisions but, Then come the secondary thoughts like:

weather,
money, maturity, our love situation, peer pressure, fear of either success or failure, etc..... What is more important to us at that moment?

Throughout life, as the diagram begins to look more like a pattern of behavior, we can maybe decide what we can change, what we would have changed and how we can change the direction our life is going.

Then once we have our changes and the path , direction or life pattern corrected to go to the final destination, oh oh.........something else happens.

More Stops we did not plan.

Illness of a parent.
Children , spouse complications,
Job problems,
Changes in political objectives.
Hurricanes, fires,
etc...

so no matter how much we want to reach point Z, obstacles keep falling to obstruct our path.

So we sit down at say, point F, and then we think.....

Geez. How would life be different, if Dad did not meet Mom but married one of his other girl friends?
What would have happened if we didn't live in the country we live in?
What if we lived in the city instead of the country?
What would have happened if we had no money growing up or if we had money?

Where would we be if we had too many friends or not enough friends?
Where would we be if we had talents or had no talents?

Where would we be if we pursued the career we wanted, instead of the one we were led into?

What would have happened if we didn't listen to people and the news ( the world will end today type of dogma or The Stock Market, Oprah or the View).?

The list goes on as each question becomes more personal.

We love to beat ourselves up every day for our successes and failures but the fact of the matter is, some things are unobtainable and just not in our hands to change.

Things happen and no matter how hard we try to reach a certain point in our life, chances are
it may never happen.

The questions though, are interesting as a mind empowering exercise.

What if?..........................

So this is how the story goes...... one step at a time, one direction at a time forming a pattern of a life that has your name on it. The pattern may or may not be of your making but.........
this is you.

How do you like you?

How would you change you?
Would you?

The way we answer these questions may either give us great anxiety or
by acceptance, provide us with great peace.

The biggest question is what would have happened if we just ignored everything and walked right through from A to Z?

What if........ is not really a question pertaining to life.
What is ......is more realistic and easier to accept and deal with.
Never the less......the story goes like this.
Before the mushrooms, wasps and flowers
Once upon a time, there lived a life
and it was me.

Have a great day

A Blue Rose

Having four visiting family members, my wife was very busy, so I offered to go to the store for her to get some needed items, which included light bulbs, paper towels, trash bags, detergent and Clorox. So off I went.

I scurried around the store, gathered up my goodies and headed for the checkout counter, only to be blocked in the narrow aisle by a young man who appeared to be about sixteen-years-old. I wasn't in a hurry, so I patiently waited for the boy to realize that I was there. This was when he waved his hands excitedly in the air and declared in a loud voice, "Mommy, I'm over here."

It was obvious now, he was mentally challenged and also startled as he turned and saw me standing so close to him, waiting to squeeze by. His eyes widened and surprise exploded on his face as I said, "Hey Buddy, what's your name?"

"My name is Denny and I'm shopping with my mother," he responded proudly.

"Wow," I said, "that's a cool name; I wish my name was Denny, but my name is Steve."

"Steve, like Severing?" he asked. "Yes," I answered. "How old are you Denny?"

"How old am I now, Mommy?" he asked his mother as she slowly came over from the next aisle.

"You're fifteen-years-old Denny; now be a good boy and let the man pass by."

I acknowledged her and continued to talk to Denny for several more minutes about summer, bicycles and school. I watched his brown eyes dance with excitement, because he was the centre of someone's attention. He then abruptly turned and headed toward the toy section.

Denny's mom had a puzzled look on her face and thanked me for taking the time to talk with her son. She told me that most people wouldn't even look at him, much less talk to him.

I told her that it was my pleasure and then I said something I have no idea where it came from, other than by the prompting of the Holy Spirit. I told her that there are plenty of red, yellow, and pink roses in God's Garden; however, "Blue Roses" are very rare and should be appreciated for their beauty and distinctiveness. You see, Denny is a Blue Rose and if someone doesn't stop and smell that rose with their heart and touch that rose with their kindness, then they've missed a blessing from God.

She was silent for a second, then with a tear in her eye she asked, "Who are you?"

Without thinking I said, "Oh, I'm probably just a dandelion, but I sure love living in God's garden."

She reached out, squeezed my hand and said, "God bless you!" and then I had tears in my eyes.

May I suggest, the next time you see a
BLUE ROSE, whichever differences that person may have, don't turn your head and walk off. Take the time to smile and say Hello. Why? Because, by the grace of GOD, this mother or father could be you. This could be your child, grandchild, niece, nephew or any other family member. What a difference a moment can mean to that person or their family.

From an old dandelion! Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly.
Leave the rest to the powers that be.

Only September

Its only September and the yard is full of leaves.
This goes on till the end of November,
on a steep incline.
Nice to live in the bog .
You have flowers, birds, snakes, coons, squirrels, possum, skunks and then the odd coyote and wolf,
Life is always interesting.
Go outside and fill your mouth full of blackberries. Gods" gift to the world.
Yup I will miss this place but I can't keep falling and breaking bones all the time.
Have to know ones' limits and
stay on flat land.
It's not like I have a big family willing to help out.
This work ethic is a quality our parents put into us but they didn't have new technology to compete with like we do with our kids.
We did not say NO to our parents lol.
Everyone I know says the same thing about their kids.
When they are at home everything is ok but once they get married and have bills to pay...
well the rules come out pretty quick, even for visiting parents lol

It makes you wonder how come you are such a sucker
Is it because you love them? lol

Today the roofers are here to clean the roof and the yard around the house and of course Beau is barking.
Instead of taking care of him my son, playing a football video game, just told me to hold him.
I told him my dog is the small one.The guys wanted big dogs so they should take care of them.
Today Tanya and I had a little talk and I told her she is the daughter I never had.
This is how people fall in love with their dogs and they become their children.
Dogs never argue and behave even though they are not in the mood.
That's if you train them right.
None of my dogs ever barked but this time my kids grabbed them as pups and the training didn't happen.
Usually done right it takes three days to toilet train and few months to train doing other things like obedience and no barking, to get a civilized dog.
Children are a joy as babies until they go to school and learn from other kids to be little individuals with 50 year old minds.
It gets worse when the schools begin teaching them what they should eat.
Seems your healthy cooking becomes bad and they don't eat it anymore.
These little quirks never end till they grow up and have children of their own.
Until then the parents are guided by innocence instead of the other way around.lol
Yup times have changed.
In my books however, its better to be a leader than a follower. You don't want to fall off the same cliff everyone else does but sometimes knowing ones' limits and how hard to push is wise.

Looking back, I remember the wise old words of elders who knew how to live. They passed on their wisdom to me and I was happy to know it because it made a lot more sense than some things we are taught today which are wrong but enters your home without your permission
and forces new changes which you need to let happen for learning to take place.

It kinda always skips a generation as ones' kids never listen, as opposed to grandchildren.
Grand children look into your mouths for wisdom their parents don't have lol

Becoming older, falls under other words like, being worn down, humility, wisdom, inner strength, and inner smiles because you know what the end result will be lol

Time may change but people never do.
I guess getting older is like my back yard right now.
Gets kinda messy but
eventually it all cleans back up again.
Have a great day!

This is what I want to be in my next life. lol
This ballerina has so much control and her movements flow with such ease
it makes it look easy. But it truly requires talent to be this good.

Withstanding Change of Time

The world is change

And we change the world

Nothing ever stays the same

Controversies and debates

Over justice rights and wrongs.

Today it’s blue and tomorrow green

Ideas, like colors, are to blame

They affect our souls our DNA

Until one day, we have to say

Hey! Don’t color my world gray!

Don’t paint my walls black red or brown

And you get, CHILL Man, with a frown.

You don't like it cause you’re gay."

And this, my friend, is the new trend,

To use expressions that mean two things.

Confused, so no one understands.

An internal smile caressed my lips

To hear them argue, as I did.

That this is something that will stay

The black and brown and red paint spray

Well, my world is full of painted flowers

Beiges, pinks and baby blues

My life has been a pretty airy journey

And these colors made my dreams come true

My world is full of love’s desire.

My water clean and pure

Rainbows fill some pretty clear blue skies

And the soil is rich from dew

My world is full of laughter

From a sweet child’s milky breath

As it looks at pretty colors

From crystals, high above its' bed.

The world is change

And we change the world

Ideas, like colors, are to blame

Some things need to stay the same

For life to breed and claim domain.

Those who choose to live in darkness

Will one day wake to a brighter world

They just need to change the colors

In the rooms that they reside.

A Lady's Life

This poem is about how life is like colors. Our moods, personalities and ideas can change . They can be black and stormy, Passionate pink, brown, gray and dull, or bleed red blood, A little more deadly. Many people suffer in winter because of this and we are told to put on bright lighting in the house to cheer up the spirit.

Leaf Whisper of Hope.

Posted by Picasa

An Indian tracker took some pioneers through the plains in the mid-1800's.
Suddenly he stopped and pointed. "Bear have babies." He said.

One of the younger pioneers ran up and asked, "How'd you know that!?."

"I know these things," replied the Indian.

They continued their journey, and a little while later the Indian stopped, pointed, and said:
"Deer tracks."

"How'd you know that!?" asked the young pioneer once again.

"I know these things."

After another hour of journeying, the Indian jumped of his horse and put his ear to the ground. "Buffalo come."

"How'd you know that!?"

"Ear wet."
