Superstore.Experience

This is White Rock , BC
As it can be seen, this rock is why the place is called White Rock.
Its sorta like a small city bordering the waterfront of the United States.
Lots of people come here in summer for the shops, restaurants and to sit and enjoy the view of the ocean.
They spoiled it by putting a lot of parking meters and unless you want to walk a steep incline uphill, there is no other place to park So we dont go there anymore. The RCMP is quick to ticket you for being 5 minutes late.
No one needs this pressure on the beach.

We spent many years walking this pier playing with the crabs and catching them as well.
The kids loved to jump off the end of the pier, late in the afternoon when the tide comes in.
And boats are parked behind the rocky bed made to cut the waves.
On the other side is Blaine and more beaches to sit on . There is a marina on the border where you can see seals sunning themselves and once we were sitting in the boat, and we saw a few killer whales. The waves can become quite big here.
It used to be an easy border crossing for older people. You drive through, they ask you where you are going. You say to get gas or to do shopping and they say have a great day.
Coming back is the same because people were honest and declared when they had to. Now things all changed because new people came and turned our countries into a zoo.
And we can't say NO.
By the border in White Rock we also have an Indian reserve and it's usually quiet. The people are very nice.

We don't live near White Rock.
Yesterday we went shopping for groceries and came to our car to load.
This seemingly American Indian Man came over to ask us if we had money for him to get to White Rock.
I guess his destination was to get to the Semiahmoo Indian Reserve.

We have a law that it is illegal to solicit for money because too many were in parking lots begging and annoying people and here is this tall middle aged man, all banged up,looking non too healthy, asking for money. My husband told him we have no money.
With our social services they should not have to ask for money and learn to budget like every one else does.
We saw him eying my purse which was in the cart, debating if he should steal it or be arrogant enough to tell us to look into my purse for money. Now it was becoming a little stressful because we could see him coming out with a knife. Desperate drug addicts do this. Instead he decided to ask if he could take our cart which is supposed to have a loony (one dollar) in it to use so people return their carts after shopping.
I never leave my purse in the cart. It usually is the first thing I put into the car but with my husband pushing the cart I got distracted and this is when bad things happen.

My husband becoming annoyed by this time, said no because we have a special token used just for carts. You have to buy this cart token and then you never worry about not having the right change.
People were coming into the parking lot now and he saw he couldn't get away with my purse.

So he went away and my husband grumbled saying there is going to be more of this going around pretty soon. No one will be safe anymore especially in shopping centers.
He heard my husband commenting and almost came back to fight.

Well this fell right into my blog of yesterday of how drugs will affect people and the quality of life
for every one. Especially with road rage.

Drugs should never be legalized.
People should work for less social services and more for jobs so people get themselves out of ruts and begin feeling respectable and self reliant.

That's the best way.
Now I have to go to the Superstore and tell them to put security in the parking lot so beggers don't attack people. This isn't the first time something like this happens there. The last time was an old woman crying begging, saying if she goes home with nothing she gets beaten. So now we will have laws passed to protect the elderly from abuse.
I gave her 10 dollars and next time I was there she came to ask for more. The time before that it was a young man also needing bus fare for two people He got 12 dollars from me and went to White Spot to have lunch. White Spot is an expensive place to eat for a man with no money. The time before that was a man who needed diapers for his girlfriends baby. The time before that was a man who needed propane for his gas tank. He was a transient with no car. The time before that our new truck was broken into and being hot wired to be robbed for part resale.
You can't keep being a good Samaratin like this, being financially abused every time you go out.

Now it was mentioned about how many jobs would be lost if the prisons closed down.
The last thing on my mind is prisons.
We will not have enough prisons to hold a nation of people if every one is high and ill and attacking God fearing people who have their act together trying to do the right thing.
We live in a beautiful nice clean country and we used to be safe here.
Fraud, corruption, drugs and violence
leaves the door open to either military dictatorship, anarchy, or invasion.

No country can avoid this from happening if the people don't willingly obey laws passed which are good for every one. We did well with give a little take a little but now its becoming so the ones you give a little to, have more rights and privileges than the ones who give a little.
Ask any drug addict if he had to do it again, would he do it different and every one of them says yes.
At first it's fun, like drinking and then the fun gets out of hand, people get hurt and innocent victims die like maybe your grand children.
No one needs to pay into healthcare and social services if they legalize drugs and be of the opinion that every man stands for himself, makes his own decision to either live or die.
I always fought for life because I know people care about theirs but if they don't.....
The people who take drugs made the decision to die the day they take them as do people who smoke cigarettes full of arsenic and cyanide.
But society has to pay to save their lives and after a throat operation, they go out the next day and smoke through the tubes in their throats. So what do we pay for if people do not understand not to smoke.? Then we have young Mothers, who care about their lives, who have to die because of the ones who don't care about their lives enough to stop doing things which kill them, eating up the resources and financial support.
The whole purpose of our countries is to promote freedom and democracy through laws to make it a nice place to live. Instead people come with hidden agendas to rob pillage and destroy from the inside out.
Fun and parties have replaced learning and stagnated industry. We give everything away until there is nothing left to give and then we will eat each other, as history shows over and over again.
Europe is a prime example of overspending. England was very smart to stay out of the Euro dollar plan. You can't keep spending and creating band aid solutions, because these things keep growing and now affecting the whole world.

So we have bad men, like Steven Harper, trying to stop this and these kind of videos have to be seen for what they are. Lies.
Reins have to be pulled in and no one likes the word NO.
Our country stands as a defender of men but if we are being corrupted from the inside, this is a disease and it must be curtailed. Otherwise, even to go shopping for groceries will become a challenge like the one which could have ended badly for my husband and myself yesterday.Criminals today have no soul. They believe in vicious behavior against their victims because they are high.
This is not the first time and this will not be the last.
People used to taking, do not like the word no.
It's insulting to them just as it was insulting for our immigrant parents who came to this country to ask for help. People built this country because of good work ethics, not hand outs.
The more you give, the more they will ask for, so then no one has the need to work.
People work to support their own families, not to support drugs.
Have a good one.:)

P.S. Please visit Westra World on the right hand side of my blog and vote for the pay it forward contest, so my blogger friend can continue to battle breast cancer.
It costs you nothing but a few minutes of your time. She has 900 votes so far.
Thanks!!! :)

Cutie Pies

cutie pies keeping warm

A Mexican woodpecker and a Canadian woodpecker were in
Mexico arguing about which country had the toughest trees.

The Mexican woodpecker claimed Mexico had a tree that no
woodpecker could peck.
The Canadian woodpecker accepted his challenge and promptly
pecked a hole in the tree with no problem.
The Mexican woodpecker was amazed.

The Canadian woodpecker then challenged the Mexican
woodpecker to peck a tree in Canada that was absolutely
'impeccable' (a term frequently used by woodpeckers).

The Mexican woodpecker expressed confidence that he
could do it and accepted the challenge.

The two of them flew to Canada where the Mexican
woodpecker successfully pecked the so-called 'impeccable'
tree almost without breaking a sweat.
Both woodpeckers were now terribly confused.
How is it that the Canadian woodpecker was able
to peck the Mexican tree, and the Mexican
woodpecker was able to peck the Canadian tree,
yet neither was able to peck the tree in their own country?

After much woodpecker pondering, they both
came to the same conclusion. Apparently, Tiger
Woods was right, when he said, 'Your pecker gets
harder when you're away from home!'

The Innocent Traveller

I just finished reading a very nice Canadian novel, the Innocent Traveller, which is basically a saga of a woman, who lived 100 years.
It touched upon both England and Canada, mostly Vancouver, from 1895 on wards.

Topaz lived the life of a single woman. It gave me a little smirk because when I got married and they issued my marriage certificate, it said spinster of age on it.
I laughed when I saw it then and I still laugh at the comedy of being called a spinster, in my still young 20's.
Had I married at 15 or 16, the marriage certificate would have said the same thing.
The book went through this "spinsters'" child hood, how she was raised, how the people around her died, how this affected her life and how finally she arrived on the shores of English Bay to live on Hastings Street.
By the sound of how they portray this street and China town, this once must have been the best area to live in.
The life this lady lived reminded me of my own Aunt Eugenia, who was also a lovely, lively, carefree woman. She loved everything, life, love children family and wherever she went her
gusto for life affected every one around her. She was followed around like bees to honey, admired, invited everywhere for tea.
She had no time for philosophy or politics but roses, flowers, picnics, parties , good cooking
everything having to do with entertainment, was what she was good at.

She loved to dress and sewed her own ball gowns which she looked dazzling in.
This was a lady with so many high heeled shoes, which are still in style today, and hats and necklaces, all of which I covered myself in, from head to toe.
She was a lot different from my own strict Mother.
She never complained when I got into her closet and would laugh seeing me all dolled up in her things.
I have to admit I was a cutie pie from the pictures where she was holding hugging and kissing me after I was so naughty.
But one time she was not so happy with me and I actually made her cry.
This was when she worked a whole month at the sewing factory, to buy herself
a very expensive bottle of perfume.
Of course I went into her room and found it. Her room always smelled nice because she had this mirror tray on her boudoir with old fashioned perfume atomizers which you were able to pushpush from a little ball at the end of a tube. I still prefer these kind of perfume dispensers to the new ones which take the personal touch away from the person using it and only promotes the brand name of the seller.

They were gorgeous and I so loved to touch and look at them.
But this perfume she did not have time or maybe did not want to put into the atomizer and left the bottle in the mirror tray.
So my little fingers grabbed it and opened it, and dumped it on my white curly head.
Not only did I do that but I also heard some one coming so I hid under the bed and dumped the rest of it on my head .
I was able to sit under there so I must have been small or the bed must have been very high.
Of course I stunk to high heaven and I don't remember who found me but I don't think it was my aunt.
I think it was my Mother and she was aghast at what I had done because she was always chasing me out of my aunts' room.
We all lived together at that time like they did in Topaz' time.
My aunt came home and she cried.
No matter what they did they could not get the smell out of my hair for a month and every day she would come home I would sit and remind her of the awful thing I did and she'd go into her room to wipe a tear from her eye.
I felt soo bad because I finally understood that I had hurt this beautiful womans' feelings badly.

She was not married at that time and I was very protective of her when gentlemen callers came to visit.
Whenever they would sit on the couch, I would make sure to come sit between them.
When ever they would touch her hand I would take it away lol
One day, the man who would become my uncle, was doing things because he was amused by the way I was defending my aunt. He would sit and laugh and I got angry and told him that if he did not stop touching my aunt I was going to push him and he would get his pants wet in a river.
This was a very big thing for me. lol
Until he died, he reminded me of what I threatened him with and kept asking me if I still wanted to push him so he got his pants wet.lol
I had the same experience with my husbands' nephew.
My husband and I just got married and we were all sitting talking and somehow he asked me if his uncle and I slept together. Of course I told him Oh no. Uncle has his bed and I have mine.
Well his parents slept together , so his feelings were very hurt for me because I had to sleep by myself.
So my precious hero announced. Don't worry Auntie, I'm going to sleep with you. lol BIG MISTAKE!
Now he is grown, married, with his own children and I always ask him if he still wants to sleep with me. He gets embarrassed but I being an old chicken now, just laugh.

And so........this is family.
This is why family is important.
It keeps you alive and busy thinking about and caring about people around you who you love and become meaningful to you and your very existence. You worry about them and get into their business all for the purpose of having good will so they don't make big mistakes
which can cost them dearly raising their families.

So the Innocent Traveller brought back many memories for me because the people in it were very similar to those in my own family, where there always sat a heirarch which held things together by caring and then the heirarch dies and things disperse.

No matter how much you didn't like it, you respected family because it was the right thing to do.
You honoured it,because these people, with their busy body behavior loved and cared about you and what came out of their mouths could be trusted.
Every one of these people would stand up for you and your honor as much as for the family honor.
This is so different from todays' world where no one cares until someone is found in a ditch.
They put blame every where except where it belongs.
You always ask why was this person alone?
Why was this person not surrounded by a loving family?
Families separate. Behavior is selfish. Kids are not catered to and so much love is lost to
other things
and we wonder what happened to family?

Passion is also not something you get every day and breeding is not something that happens over night because you read a book or got a diploma. These things like family, become a way of life.
You have a passion for something that lasts a lifetime and breeding is something that keeps saying no, at a time when everything else says yes.
And yes keeps running on , saying yes till life becomes unbearable, and you wonder when and why NO became a bad word.

I enjoyed this book and it probably is something kids should read to have a taste of the old ways.
Who knows, it might skip a generation and have it grow on them, and their parents might end up being the lucky ones.
:)

Have a great Day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA!!!

HAPPY 144th BIRTHDAY CANADA!!

A LADY'S LIFE IS PROUD TO BE CANADIAN.

This is a very special day for many people because we are able to celebrate the holiday
with two very special people, William and Kate!

They united our country from coast to coast as so many people traveled to Ottawa to see them and they took their time to enjoy, shake hands and chat with as many people as they could.
Many can go home now excited over having an encounter with a royal.

25 lucky people obtained their Canadian Citizenship today and are able to go home with a picture to tell their loved ones, they were welcomed to Canada by royalty.

Canadian soldiers are coming home from Kandahar.

Over 500,000 people traveled to Parliament Hill to celebrate today
and our Prime Minister Harper and Governor General Johnston
never looked better.

The Air force showed off their Snowbirds.
Our Canadian Entertainers did a wonderful job.
The sun was shining and let's face it, what else can you ask for?

Kate wore her engagement dress and a beautiful hat with a red Maple Leaf on it.
She was gorgeous standing beside her wonderful Prince.
What a lovely couple they make.
God Bless them
and
God Bless our CANADA!!

Variety in Orchids Food for Thought

I love orchids and Singapore grew them every where.
All colors. I don't think one household missed owning a few.
People just knew how to behave with these flowers and one shouldn't be surprised as the Orchid is Singapores' National Flower.

The people love flowers and they also keep cages with different singing birds.
They bring them to a certain place to receive prizes for the best singing bird and tourists walk in between them admiring the different species. The birds look especially pretty sitting between so many trees full of blossoms.

British Columbia also loves Orchids and we can see plenty in Richmond where many Chinese live.
It is nice when we see competition between people for things.

In Canada this will soon be a thing of the past as corporations take everything over for global production. This will mean the people will not enjoy the things they grow and prices and land will belong to powerful international companies over which we have no control.
They don't want to talk about their business and therefore service will also be a thing of the past.

No control means they will plunder land for their businesses leaving nothing for people to grow food on and thus limiting the quality of the food we eat to what they produce and how they produce it, tasteless and full of chemicals.

People will then die in hordes if a mistake is made as for example in the olden days when wheat was affected and made people crazy. But in these times it was localized as opposed to today where people could die globally.
Jesse Ventura's Conspiracy Theories don't seem so far fetched after all.

We see this happening with the beef , gas , hydro and pharmaceutical corporations as they go global.
The companies are so powerful, even governments have no control over them.
They are efficient cold and calculating, instruments, without a soul.

They require money to buy their products but they take away more and more jobs, produce less and less variety, promote global warming through the gross amount they produce of any one thing and buy off all the land which is plundered and abused to produce the most.

Our majestic Canada will soon be a thing of the past as will every other place in the world unless people stand up and begin to scream to their governments to disallow huge mergers of corporations and help the small farmers to survive, so varieties of beef and grain exist to keep the prices low as well as jobs for people to make a living off of.
This applies to utilities as well.
Nothing is good when you sell out. It hurts everyone.
Variety is good.
Mass Production is not.

Grow your own food for thought and add a few orchids and cabbages while you are at it.
Once stores see you don't buy from them, they will not buy from corporations but from local small producers. Scream to your MLA's and tell them to stop whining and produce solutions to these problems or not take a job away from someone who can do something.

Thanks for caring

Have a great day!

Happy Thanks Giving Canada October 2010

October is one of my, most favorite time of year.
It is all a glow with its' own rich hues, which man tries to emulate
the rest of the year.

October is a month of good smells, from bounty
that took a whole summer to grow.
It is the end of summers' hard toils and worries
about weather and machines and workers, that are sooooo
important for the world, to continue living.

We see a suffering world all around us and so, on this special
Thanks Giving week end,
we go out of our way to unite ,
in celebration and thankfulness for another year of
blessings, we Canadians, have been granted.

God,
Love our Land, our Spirit, and our Home.
As we love thee.

Happy Thanks Giving Everyone!!

TRUE NORTH STRONG AND FREE

BC is a part of the True North Strong and Free
Where ever you look , you see wilderness.
Wild flowers, Wild grasses, wild plains and lakes.
One can still feel the excitement, freedom and fear that our forefathers felt,
Seeing something totally breath takingly pristine and untouched ,
Cool breezes from snowy mountain peaks
touched their cheeks, while a scorching sun hit their backs.
Nothing changed there.
With the cheeky coons, beaver and squirrels visiting,
as well as the odd , wide pawed bear and snarling cougar,
one can almost understand why man has a call
for the wild.
It is here, facing the elements, that one finds his
true self worth and understands what true love means.
True love, once found, can never be walked away from.
There are no lies here, for you either learn to survive or die.
Every tree, stone and mist has a story to tell.
and no one can tell it better.

We call this place, the True North Strong and Free.
One needs to be strong to survive and free to be able to move from one place to another
as the buffalo and caribou do.

There is no place like it anywhere and there never will be.
A Lady's Life

Cashew Nut Case. 2010

We took a trip to the interior of BC and apart from the breath taking beauty of this province, we found joy in the little critters which make life worth living.

Chomps here, chased his friend away so he could enjoy the cashews on his own.
I guess even in the animal world we have those who share and those who don't lol
He looked pretty healthy with a beautiful well groomed coat and he was not afraid of people
who surrounded him to take pictures.
:)
I am soooo jealous. I would die to be able to grow fingernails like this little guy has.
Mine always break. lol

Good Morning!!

and

A Happy Thursday to Every one!!

We are almost there. Many people will have a welcome day off tomorrow.
It is time to color eggs and try out your recipes for Easter Bread.

Woke up to a dreary, damp morning.
Put on the oxtail soup for my hubby tonight, as it needs the whole day
to brew the good bouillon before adding celery, potatoes, carrots and tomatoes.
Great Crock pot work.

Only the birth of a little eaglet cheered the day up on the news and I knew, like I always know,
there is a good reason for waking up in the morning lol

My cherry tree is full of blossoms as are the hyacinths.
Now I am waiting for the apple blossoms and they will surely bloom within the next week.
This is the nicest time of spring.
Most people have pink flowered trees around here and soon the streets will all be
covered in pink when the flower petals fall.
How pretty it is when that happens.

This Morning we woke up to a tragic story about this little girl who is dying and having trouble breathing.
The parents were upset people were attacking them for signing papers to donate her heart to save another baby’s life.

I can understand their situation, having gone through this myself many times, with my grand mother and Mother.

When people are ill and require care, there is no support for them.
Hospitals count their money instead of valuing a person’s life.
They pressure you to sign paperwork to end it, rather than prolong the inevitable.

But then miracles do happen when you fight back and force them to do their job.
To add ten years to a person’s life is ok by me and I learned not to listen to these doctors a long time ago.
Sometimes how ever, it is best to listen to them , if the brain is dead.
But even so, we only use a portion of our brain and they did find people living, doing remarkable things, like playing the violin, doing chemistry and biology with no brain at all.
Just what is found around the skull perimeter. So it all depends. We may think a person is dead when all he needs is another way to get to a part that is still alive and develop it.
But given we have only 100 years to live on an average, a drop in the bucket, there comes a question of it being worth the trouble?

I was fortunate enough to be able to sit and care for my family members, doing the work the hospital refused to do because of lack of personnel, funds and time.

For months my day consisted of sitting with the sick person from 7:30 to 8:30 at night feeding them, taking them to the toilet, walking them
Making sure they took the pills and behaved. Sick people don’t behave because of the suffering they go through.

Plus the hospital food was lacking in things like fresh salads. I made sure my girls ate cous cous salad full of parsley, garlic, lemon juice, tomatoes and onions,
which gave them lots of natural energy.
Sometimes the hospital would allow me to take the person out to the buffet across the street,
where I’d load them up with tons of things they liked to eat, like cabbage soup. Extremely healthy and good for you.

I recently found out that coconuts have lots of electrolytes in the juice inside them and people should drink more coconuts than Power Aid.
So now I will buy more of them. The drink is enjoyable and actually I miss it because we used to always go for a motor bike ride by the sea, every evening, to enjoy one. It was a good life back then, things we don’t do much these days.
The coconuts were green and here in BC, they are brown.

Well, have an enjoyable day.
Will get back later when I have more things to say and share.

If my Nose was running Money

Funny song If My Nose was Running Money

."

Fishing Jokes
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Four married guys go fishing. After an hour, the following conversation took place. First guy: " You have no idea what I had to do to be able to come out fishing this weekend. I had to promise my wife that I will paint every room in the house next weekend." Second guy: " that's nothing, I had to promise my wife that I will build her a new deck for the pool." Third guy: " Man, you both have it easy! I had to promise my wife that I will remodel the kitchen for her." They continue to fish when they realized that the fourth guy has not said a word. So they asked him. You haven't said anything about what you had to do to be able to come fishing this weekend. " What's the deal?" Fourth guy: " I just set my alarm for 5:30 am. When it went off, I shut off my alarm, gave the wife a nudge and said, " Fishing or Sex" and she said, " Wear a Sweater."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Three blondes are sitting by the side of a river holding fishing poles with the lines in the water. A Game Warden comes up behind them, taps them on the shoulder and says, Excuse me, ladies, I'd like to see your fishing licenses.

We don't have any, replied the first blonde.

Well, if you're going to fish, you need fishing licenses. said the Game Warden.

But officer, replied the second blonde, we aren't fishing. We all have magnets at the end of our lines and we're collecting debris off the bottom of the river.

The Game Warden lifted up all the lines and, sure enough, there were horseshoe magnets tied on the end of each line. Well, I know of no law against it, said the Game Warden, take all the debris you want. And with that, the Game Warden left.

As soon as the Game Warden was out of sight, the three blondes started laughing hysterically. What a dumb Fish Cop, the second blonde said to the other two, doesn't he know that there are steelhead trout in this river?!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

A man calls home to his wife and says, "Honey I have been asked to go fishing at a big lake up in Canada with my boss and several of his friends. We'll be gone for a week." "This is a good opportunity for me to get that promotion I've been wanting so would you please pack me enough clothes for a week and set out my rod and tackle box. We're leaving from the office and I will swing by the house topick my things up. Oh Please pack my new blue silk pajamas." The wife thinks this sounds a little fishy but being a good wife she does exactly what her husband asked. The following weekend he comes home a little tired but otherwise looking good. The wife welcomes him home and asks if he caught many fish? He says, "Yes! Lot's of Walleye, some Bluegill, and a few Pike. But why didn't you pack my new blue silk pajamas! like I asked you to do?" The wife replies; "I did, they were in your tackle box."
