Sake Me Good

Now this is a good bottle of Sake.
Dig the price.
Nothing beats a nice hot Sake sitting by a crackling
fireplace, in front of a large window, in a mountain
snow fall. A big, hazy moon in the back ground makes a fine
setting, just peeking out at you.

There is a nice Hostel offering single rooms for unbelievable prices
at Whistler called Hi-Whistler. Bunk beds go for 33 dollars a night.
The place is popular with hikers, snow boarders and skiers who stay till
late at night enjoying the view and fresh air.

Many people drive up into the mountain and park during the day.
They take out the picnic baskets and the folding chairs, a nice warm blanky
and sit enjoying the heat of the sun. Sometimes it gets so hot you can sit and suntan
just like on the beach in the Carribean.
Unbelievable beauty up there.
The camera just does not do it justice.

If you have a chance to experience something like this,
do it.

I don't think I've every tried Sake.

Akelamalu - I loved the way the Japanese present Sake with the special bottle and drinking cups.
I treat myself a few times a year in winter but I never spend 150.00 a bottle or even 95.00 which is the second best it seems. lol
It goes down smooth but you have to be careful cause it can hit you quickly.

It sounds as if we need to add Whistler to our 'bucket list'. I'm not sure about the sake, however.

I've never had sake. I've always wanted to try it.

George Whistler is a beautiful place but so is any place with mountains.Vermont, Oregon, Mt Baker in Washington State. We see Baker every day from far off and it never is bare of snow.Oregons' beach waves are to die for and the acorns you find are close to a foot long. It's not just Texas that's big lol Vermont is outrageously beautiful in the fall.We never went into the mountains in winter though.
I was introduced to Sake in Japan.
They sure do have a way with etiquette out there. So now my husband gets me some every now and then and we enjoy sipping it
under special conditions.

I don't like the taste of sake, tasted it once, never again (I also don't drink any alcohol any more since several years)

Gattina so I guess you are then left with stinky cigarettes lol

Thanks Sandy
Life is full of interesting things to taste and try but not over indulge in.

Bunk beds for 33 dollars a night is reasonable I must say.

Haddock compared to the prices of so many hotels I think if you just need a place to sleep a few hours, this is a great place. It seems in very good shape for the price. You pay a lot more for dumpy hotels. It has other things like a kitchen and recreation room and cafe and lockers to safe keep your things for a while.A nice shower is always very welcome.Ya for 33.00 its very good deal.
