Pebble Creek

This Old Sailin ship made of shells has been standing on our shelf for a very long time We got it in Miami when my first son was 5 years old. He used to get ear infections and sat on medication for months until the doctor said he needed to put a tube through his ear drum.  My son loved to swim and I thought this was a drastic and needless thing to do. So the doctor walked out of the room and that was that. So I decided to take my poor boy to Florida,  specifically Miami, As far south as I could go. He played on the beach for a few weeks,  dried out his ear, and came back fit and sound, with no recurrence of ear infections. Now why can't doctors ever recommend doing the right thing and just keep pushing drugs with side effects, to resolve all problems? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm walking on the pebble stones Thinkin bout a place called home A place I left so very long ago. Along the creek bed ripples grow Over stones and over snow and  I keep thinkn bout a place called home My Mama she did cry for me My Daddy wiped a tear or three Thinkin bout  how far I aimed to go Cause this ol creek it lives somewhere Over hills and over there but It aint the homey place I know I'm walking over pebble stones  Thinkn bout a place called home Being met by my ol best friend and pal Sittin on the porch waggin his tail Waitin and watchin for love to show Thinkin I aint    too far away I turned round and made up my mind Had to breath and swallow my pride Go back to the love I missed each day Back to  old pebble creek Back to woods and snow so deep Back to  those I left to weep and Hearts I left behind. .A Lady's Life.
