Following the Coast

We stopped along the way to take a few shots. They have nothing but beaches, cottages and hotels for summer living.
Here we found another wooden Lion sculpture, a beautiful stump and geese and ducks.

We stopped at a White Spot where we were told President Choice meat was recalled so no burgers. We made do with chicken wings, a meat dipper , Fetuccini and onion soup.
The food was excellent and portions quite generous.

Aboard the ferry once again , we passed by this island .
Hard to think that behind it on the shore, lies the blissful, Deep Bay.

The colors in the sky kept changing.
We were lucky that our car was almost at the front end of the ferry so we had a wonderful view and it encouraged us to stay in the car and breath some more fresh air.
What a treat to say you stood at the very tip of the front of the ferry.
Makes you feel like the two lovers standing on the Titanic with their arms wide spread.
Feeling life and living.

It was because we were outside, we were able to hear the seals on the island.
So I tried to get a shot of them and if you click to enlarge you might be able to see them in the middle of the photo.

We saw a few barges being pulled loaded to the gills.
Just to think how much weight the ferry boat takes is uncanny. One big daddy truck is like 80,000 pounds.

And we were off again into the deep blue ocean.

Can you believe an iphone took this shot?

Back at Tsawwassen, we docked to find the seagulls getting ready for bedtime
It was already quite dark.

Not a care in the world. These birds are used to the huge ferry boats and people.
