Here You Are

Follow your dream; unless it's the one where you're naked at work during a fire drill.

"Here you are. Thought you were going to get away did ya?"
lol
This is an old post card from Germany and I've kept it and made copies.
Anji might like to see this card.. I loved it because of the faces. He was so upset to fall into her apron and she was delighted to catch him. lol

Before we got married, I told my husband, one day, this will be me and this will be you.
Little did I know
Hubbies are very nice, till they begin to travel on business trips and you have to stay at home to hold down the fort and catch them when they get back. lol

I've been catching mine for years now lol
Who says marriage is not fun?

And what's this I hear about foreign women being better?
I don't know. Mine always came back.
In fact he came home one day and found that his son didn't remember him anymore.

That was an episode in my house.
He couldn't believe it and thought I was teaching the boy not to like him lol

I told him, you got me into so much trouble when you were gone because every bearded man he would see, he would run and grab by the leg and say:
Daddy, I am so happy to see you!

The poor bearded fella, would be there with his wife or girl friend and she'd be staring him down and I would have to go through all the explanations, looking guilty as hell.I am sure all the women thought we were both guilty lol and we never even saw each other before that particular day, when this would happen.lol

By the time hubby did get home, I told the child so many times that the guy, whose leg he was grabbing at that time, was not his Daddy , now that his real Daddy showed up, he was not so sure anymore.lol

The two of us, got a lot of bearded men into trouble.lol
It was funny if it wasn't so sad, about a boy missing his Daddy.
Taught Daddy a thing or three.lol

I told Daddy to go on more business trips ( with a smile)
but now Daddy wasn't sure what I meant by that .lol

In those days there were no emails or video cams. You had to wait weeks for a letter even if he wrote one every day and he'd be gone 6-8 weeks at a time to make it worth the price of sending him over seas.

You get used to living your own way and then guess what, Hubby shows up and cramps your style lol .

I guess it's true, history repeats itself.
My Grand Mother would tell me often, one day you will sit and laugh at how silly you were, getting upset over things that didn't matter.

Now I am older and I listen to young problems and I remember my Grammas' words cause she was right.

Young people will always be young people and older people will always be wise and tolerant because they know how it was with them, young, stubborn, hot headed, full of life ,expectations, promise and future and why not? It's all true.

And hubbies fall from the sky as they always do, back into the loving hands from whom they run to work and play in the outside world, while homestead fires are kept burning, by the people
who they do it all for....... and love.

Life, passion, heart ache, love, these are constants in peoples lives they need to deal with every day and it isn't easy .No one expects it to be easy and so you walk through life with eyes open, head on, into what life and reality dishes out.

You find out that you are not alone and as you fight to survive, you see the importance of charity and forgiveness when it's shown you and when you show it to others, for otherwise, how would we all survive? We all need each other.

george carlin - american dream

Saddam Hussein calls President Clinton and tells him, "Bill, I had a wonderful dream last night. I could see America, the whole beautiful country, and on each house I saw a banner." "What did it say on the banners?" Clinton asks. Saddam replies, "Allah is god, god is Allah." Clinton says, "You know, Saddam, I am really happy you called. Last night I had a similar dream. I could see all of Baghdad, and it was more beautiful than ever. It had been rebuilt completely, and on each house flew an enormous banner." "What could you see on the banners?" Saddam asks. Clinton replies, "I don't know. I can't read Hebrew."

To My Husband

This morning I found and was looking through, a small book of poems and
A check fell out of it.
It was made out to me from my husband in 1976 for 1,000,000 dollars
Paid in kisses.
So being the sentimental fool that I am, I am dedicating today to my best
One and only Love of my Life.
A Poem by Anne Bradstreet

If ever two were one, then surely we.
If ever man were lov’d by wife, then thee
If ever wife was happy in a man,
Compare with me, ye women, if you can.
I prize thy love more than whole mines of gold,
Of all the riches that the East doth hold.
My love is such that rivers cannot quench,
Nor ought but love from thee give recompense.
Thy love is such I can no way repay,
The heavens reward thee manifold I pray.
Then while we live, in love let’s so persevere,
That when we live no more, we live forever.

Today 1,000,000 dollars worth of kisses
I send to you my dearest. :)

Precious Gypsy

Precious Gypsy Sing your song

Tap Dance to the melody

Never mind who lives or dies

We’ll drink to prosperity

You left me shaking at the gate

Wilted bouquet crying

I don’t know how long I stood

In misery sighing

You tore the strings of my guitar,

I will never play it

You left a fire in my heart

I will not deny it

Today I play a violin

And your precious daughter dances

She asks me where her Mommy is

I say, she’s travelling with Colossus

I since heard you’re alone again

The songs don’t last forever

Sometimes a gypsy hearts to blame

And sometimes it’s the choices

Precious gypsy sing your song

Of broken hearts and sadness

Remember I am still your friend though

You’re not the Goddess Isis.

:)ALADY'SLIFE

-----------------------------------------------------------

This poem depicts a woman who feels claustrophobic being tied down to one place No ones to blame for her leaving. This man is still bitterly in love with her. She tore the strings to his guitar which symbolizes complete separation He is watching his beautiful daughter dance to the violin he now plays singing a sadder melody, to make her,one day, more powerful than her mother He tells her, her Mother is on a special mission with Colossus, built in honor of Helios A young Greek sun god who rises in the morning from the ocean and rides a chariot pulled by 4 horses in the sky He refers to his wife as not being Isis, a goddess of Egypt, also worshipped in the Greco Roman world, as an ideal Mother ,wife, matron of nature and magic. Both Mother and daughter will always be very precious to him.Which makes the story so much sadder.

Francois de la Rochefoucauld
When we are in love we often doubt that which we most believe.
