Coleus has always been my husbands favorite plant, since before we were married.
In all these years, his tastes never change. He wears the same shoe style,
same kind of suits, keeps the same wife and the same flowering plant.lol
When you are hot, you are hot! So why change things lol
I would take Coleus clippings and root a lot of them and once you put them into the sun
they turn into very bright colors and make for great borders and clipping them doesn't kill
the plant but just makes it stronger. When you keep them in the shade, the colors fade.
Today they sell them with HUGE leaves and it's a much more expensive plant but I still
like the originals
So we got some for the outside. I think these particular ones would be also nice for Christmas
decor as long as they stay in a pot. and if you are interested in flower arranging,
with a bit of planning you could have great floral Christmas baskets with live plants such as these.
I collect seeds from acorns put them in a small pot which I then put into a zip lock bag with water inside.
They stay outside and I practically never have to water them. Then I see little sprouts of cedar or pine pop out and by Christmas they are ready to plant into a Christmas basket.
So, along with the red coleus and maybe another perennial favorite, one can clip and root like a baby rose, you could have beautiful home made gifts to give to people, they can appreciate for years to come.
Have a good broom though cause my broom is always late .
It oversweeps.
All good things take a while to put together but are well worth it.
We played with puppy again last night for a few hours. He was frisky and happy and ate so well.
I hope she gives it a name this week end. lol
20 dogs were stolen from a pet store.
Now they are looking for people selling hot dogs.
It finally rained here in the lower mainland and the weather has again become chilly.
The sky is again overcast as it usually is the whole winter.
Hope the season knows summer is not over yet lol
What did the Mother shrimp tell her baby?
Don't worry. It's just a can of people.
Have a great week end.

I enjoyed this post but I didn't get the joke about the can of people.
Mrs. RWP likes coleus too, but we have never had any. I guess I should get busy.
Rhymes - we usually say a can of sardines. Instead now the fish call people in a sub as being in a can of people.
