The BIG BAD WOLF is from another era. Watching the news about yesterdays Colorado, act of evil,
and the continuous violence all over the world, I keep thinking... what was wrong with our kids playing cow boys and Indians?
Many parents objected to toy guns being sold to little boys and yet here they are playing violent computer games and watching and listening to unspeakable language and violence, very early in their lives, on TV and the news and even in their places of worship where they are taught to hate, so that when they grow up, life and violence become a type of norm one is desensitized to.
Listening to how children and young adults speak and behave with old people today shows cruelty we never showed in our time when we got spankings from our parents. We never heard of old people being assaulted at buss stops just for fun, or even people breaking into their houses when they were home to beat them senseless for a few bucks.
People, after a war, have no tears , or cry or react, when they see torture, rape or killing.
It's just something they saw every day for years on end.
You want attention? Do a Superman... Do a violent thing and get it.
Some one hurt you? Do a violent thing and fight back.
People will see you, your power.
However, violent things don't always involve guns.
There are tons of unspeakable ways to kill people, using something we call ..........
a pen.
Good people? .......SNAP! .........We will never know who the bad guy is today,
when a pen is used.
It makes what we watched, very innocent, growing up with the likes of John Wayne.
Living with a gun, also meant rules and honor.
You just don't kill people unless they were there to kill you.
Guns were mainly for hunting, as is a knife, a bow and arrow, and even cars.
You can mow down a lot of people with a car.
Guns are nothing but tools.
Today ......we hunt with pens.
Before cow boys, violent acts were attributed to
Lords and Masters of the Universe, Emperors, Caesars,Powerful Men, not the lowly citizen
owned and enslaved and forced to kill for them.A thumb up or a thumb down could decide
if you lived or died.
All people wanted in those days, was a piece of land to build shelter and to grow crops, to feed their families.
Times haven't changed much there.
Today, most people want homes free of mortgages and with the type of taxes the country collects, all we need, is one or two years of taxes, for government, to pay off all the homes, for all the people.
Free of mortgages, we could then concentrate on things like roads, healthcare, education etc...
But Ney!
No one thinks like this and so people are robbed of their properties every year by the Caesars and Emperors who contribute to suffering which leads to violence, as men struggle to survive,
to make ends meet. The bad part is they don't care what your house is made of Straw Wood or bricks.
They will never live there and don't care if they stand empty rotting.
The BIG BAD WOLF era transformed into the Finance Arena, where it is difficult to know or understand who is doing what. Who is biting who and why?
Makes no difference anymore, if your home is made of straw, wood or stone.
Powerful people are stripped bare, by more powerful people.
Seems the only type POWER fears, are the poor, who have nothing to lose.
If they fight back, Power will lose and new mini groups will reform, to renew the fight from square one.
It never stops.
Todays' big bad wolf is hungry but not for food. In fact,
I don't think he knows what he is hungry for except to have more and more........
The question is,
how much is too much?
When will POWER break the camels' back?
We see our unhappy children struggling every day.
Children who come home to see unhappy parents.
Children who should be playing and happy with not a care in the world.
People blame guns but guns don't kill .
If we don't have guns, we will have something else, maybe worse, to do what we have to do.
It's the nature of man to fight back when he gets hurt.
People crack.
There is nothing any one can do, when someone has it in his head to kill.
This person will make his own gun if he can't buy it as well as his own bullets.
Just to think, that with all the people owning guns today, we only get a few very bad headlines
like the one we got in Colorado yesterday. The bad case here in Canada was someone using a sword
to cut a head off in a bus.
Knowing about suffering, man begets greed to relieve his mental anguish.
If we could find the true, underlying causes why people fight and kill,
death would not be on the front pages of our newspapers.
We all know what the underlying causes are.
We just don't want to face them because we are all guilty of committing them,
if only in little ways, with a mighty pen.... mightier than the sword...
and
without a gun.

A farmer had five female pigs. Times were hard, so he decided to take them
to the county fair and sell them.
At the fair, he met another Farmer who
owned five male pigs. After talking a bit, they decided to mate the pigs
and split everything 50/50.
The farmers lived sixty miles apart. So they agreed to drive thirty miles each,
find a field in which to let the pigs mate.
The first morning, the farmer with
the female pigs got up at 5 A.M., loaded the pigs into the family station wagon,
(which was the only vehicle he had) and drove the thirty miles.
While the pigs were mating, he asked the other farmer, "How will I know if they are pregnant?"
The other farmer replied, "If they're lying in the grass tomorrow morning,
they're pregnant. If they're in the mud, they're not."
The next morning the pigs were rolling in the mud. So he hosed them off, loaded them
into the family Station wagon again and proceeded to try again.
This continued each morning for more than a week and both farmers were worn out.
The next morning he was too tired to get out of bed.. He called to his wife,
"Honey, please look outside and tell me whether the pigs are in the
mud or in the grass."
"Neither," yelled his wife, "they're in the station wagon and
one of them is honking the horn".
Have a good one.:)

You know, I think that nightmares of today have everything to do with the dissolution of civil discourse. People don't talk, don't have patience with each other, don't feel at ease in this world. So many of us retreat to activities in private that let us blow it all apart. But we return to the mess in the morning. Our connection to the real world becomes week or breaks altogether. The monster in Colorado is no less responsible for his individual behavior and must be held accountable.
Sandy - Of course he must be held accountable because he is responsible. In the end we always have a choice to pull a trigger or not to. What I tried to say was that a person who decides to do something like this could use many methods and guns are just a tool as are many other things people use every day but do not kill with them.
