The Good Egg

This card dates back to 1976. It was sent me by my Cousin Natalie.
She is what I can call a good egg. lol
Come to think of it, I have a lot of good eggs around me.
:)

My Cousin always loved horses like I do, except she rode them at her 4H Club in New York and then after getting married, her hubby got her a few beauts she loves and trains.
One she got as a colt and had to nurse to health and now she shows him.

Horses are a serious business and boy did I get a thrill when she let me sit on one, very well trained, gray Appaloosa named Blue I believe. I will never forget that day.
She explained to me that when you are training a horse for show only one person should ride it so horse and rider become one.

The only other horse I rode was this old whiskered wise guy in Quebec. I took him cause I thought he'd be the safest for my riding experience. lol
He sure knew his trail and was not exactly a follower.

We had a very muddy place to ride in and he took me away from all the dirt, over clean areas , and he didn't care if there was a tree branch to topple me off of him. lol
He was the boss and I just sat on him. lol

When we got back to the barn all the other horses were full of mud and when it came to my horse and me, he was in pristine condition while I needed a bath.
I was kinda sad cause every one else had a horse to clean and I had nothing. lol

This is where you bond with a horse when you fuss over it not like he cared to bond much with me at his age. lol All he wanted was the sugar cubes and the carrots.
He knew he had a job to do so he gets fed that day, so it was business as usual.
It's important to support riding stables for this reason alone.

I can say from that day forward, my respect for horses went up 100 fold.
I thought they were extremely, intelligent animals and although they like to travel in groups, they don't necessarily all think the same way.

I thought if you have a friend in a horse, its a friend for life. There's no telling when you will need him to get you out of a jam and so the friendship is mutual.

Good eggs come in all sizes and genetic make up. Doesn't matter if they are 2 footed or 4 footed, or with wings, each is designed unique.
Each wants to live.
Each has a preordained destiny.

Do you ever wonder why a certain animal or person is attracted to you and vs? There could be many pups but then there is just that special one that gives you a look or a special wag and you say ....
hey....you are for me.
Well this sort of thing was pre ordained. You were meant to have this animal for a reason and vs.
and then the story comes out as to why.

When I look at my other half I think ...we were pre ordained. I needed him in way I needed no other and he took my fancy.
Now I know men will laugh at the next statement because men are simple. lol

I attracted him for a special reason as well, going much deeper than what guys look for in women. lol
Otherwise we would not be together after 37 years.
We always told our friends who'd ask if they should marry, that if they had to ask, it wasn't the right one.

No, we will grow old together. We are growing old together lol

And the kids watch and shake their heads saying boy, the two of you are of one mind and they can't figure it out.
Well yes and no. lol
He is still who he is and I am who I am but together, we are something else.

I guess we are two good eggs with two good egglings to raise trying to make sense , like everyone else, of this world we live in.
We want goodness to reign, families to be raised with good experiences.
We want a world with food on the table and clean fresh water.
We want to see good business not funny business.

Good makes for good but if you do bad, well what goes around comes around in full circle.
And we are seeing this happening right now. Things out of control.
People we trusted, who asked us for trust, betraying the good will of the people.

So who do we trust now? Certainly not men.
So we trust in God because he is there to teach us through our own mistakes and hopes we learn as we hope our children learn.

So I hope by talking about it, we can all one day realize that we have to be on the same page, working towards the same goals and felling one by one, those who exceed greed and heinous acts, by doing things beyond what is considered acceptable behavior.
Our country requires we be guided by the holy spirit which is a uniting force enveloping us all who enter and accepting it, as an existent force.

Man is not different.
Mankind , humanity, is all the same.

Once there was a dishonest painter who used to water down his paint far too much. One day, as he was painting the steeple of a church building, thunderclouds gathered and rain washed all his thinned-down paint away. Then followed a booming voice out of heaven, saying, "Repaint, and thin no more." (repent and sin no more)

Once a generous Rabbi went to work in the colony of a people called "the Trids." As he was among them, a large and menacing giant appeared on the scene and began abusing the Trids. He picked them up and threw them down and began kicking them mercilessly.

"Hey, stop picking on those poor Trids," the Rabbi interjected. "And stop kicking them. If you must kick someone, kick me instead."

The giant replied, "Silly Rabbi, kicks are for Trids." ( silly rabbit tricks are for kids)

Chinook and Human Rights

We live in one of the best countries in the whole world.CANADA.

In British Columbia we have Salmon which is a treasured fish

We have many controversies over fishing rights,how many fish we can catch,

Who can catch them, who can breed them, where they can be caught and bred,which fish we can keep with them,

And keeping the environment clean so they can survive and keep coming back to spawn.

We care about our fish.

So why am I talking about fish? Well fish are families. A lot of them swim in schools.

The life of a Chinook fish is similar to a human being in some ways.

We have little fry which head up into the ocean to grow and then when they are mature enough

They head on back to the place of birth to spawn and then to die.

Humans follow almost the same path of life.

They are born, they are raised, they go out into the world and then they nest.

The difference between humans and Salmon, is that humans after giving birth do not have to die.

Although some people say being enslaved to raise a family is a form of dying loll

Salmon,can’t get jobs.They can’t hunt for their children so they commit the ultimate sacrificial act of dying,

so that their children can feed off of them and live. Survival of the species.

I guess in the end fish get a better deal. They don’t waste time in slavery.

They die and donate their body for the better good.

Man does not want to die. He figures he wants life,so he can sacrifice a little bit, working to feed the kids until they can go off by themselves .

This takes practically a lifetime to do and then you sit and enjoy grandchildren.

This is the scheme of things.

They are orderly and follow a sequence of events.

But in real life, things don’t always work out as we plan.

In real life we have men who want sex and children but do not want to sit and feed them

They prey. They prey on women without being responsible.

We also have women who prey on men.

So the sequence or order of life is disturbed.

Now we can go out of our way when it comes to fish to ensure the survival of the species,

and call it fish rights

But when it comes to man, we can’t do those things. Human Rights have a whole new concept.

Human rights does not include survival of the species by creating or doing the right things to ensure health and survival. I used to think it had a limited meaning dealing with man's inhumanity to man in the strictess sense.But it doesn't.

Every person can abuse himself, his body, the bodies and minds of others and be protected by Human Rights.

By virtue of association, be it through sex or touching or general living,Human Rights cannot protect us from self destructing

or destroying others by virtue of our behavior.(ie I have sex, I get aids, I unknowingly give it to others.)

So I’d just like to ask a question?

What is HUMAN RIGHTS? What exactly does it mean?

It seems we care more about fish rights than we care about humans.We are not allowed to use Human Rights to aid humans when a human cannot do it for himself.There has to be consent or a paper from a judge.

How is it we have soo much intellect when it comes to fish and

So little wisdom when it comes to humans?

The fish is not asked if it wants the species to survive.

And if you ask man….. he says he has a right to drugs,breeding, prostitution, alcohol, smoking ,etc…

And he doesn’t generally think about the survival of the species but he wants HUMAN RIGHTS.

The answer lies in value.

Fish have financial value as a species.

Men do not.No one wants to eat us except maybe bears but they don't pay.

Fish all think the same way.

Men do not, well except for the odd one in a fish tank :)

So when speaking the words Human Rights, we have to understand the meaning of these words and ask

ourselves a question: What is a right of a human? Do we really have any rights? Or are they privileges?

Do humans have a right to destroy a planet or other humans, by virtue of their conduct and lifestyle,

risking the death of a species called human?

If the answer is no, then should not man therefore understand the value of following a pattern

of behavior like the fish do?Do we not understand what not being on the same page in following this pattern of behavior could result in? So why do we use the word HUMAN RIGHTS

as a shield or excuse, to cover up an underground movement,leading towards the breeding of weaker people,

who will one day, not be able to survive simple things like colds?

It seems our interpretation of Human Rights is very lax

and includes both things it should and should not, virtually leaving it ,

with no meaning at all.

Buddha and the Self

People often think that there must be a personality or self that is real and permanent, otherwise they would not exist or experience things in life.
Buddha taught that there is no real, permanent and independent personality or self at all.
This is the third characteristic of existence.
If a permanent and independent self really existed, one should be able to identify it.
Some people may say that the body is the self, or that mind is the self.
However, both ideas are wrong because neither the body nor the mind is permanent. They both change and self destruct because they are dependent on many factors. Neither body nor mind can possibly be a permanent and independent self.

If the body were the self, it would be able to will itself to be strong or fair.
Instead the body grows tired, hungry and falls sick against its will, so you cannot see the body as an entity like a personality or a self as for example a book is.

Similarly, if the mind were the self, it would do whatever it wished. But the mind often runs away from what it knows to be right, and runs after what is wrong.
It becomes disturbed, distracted and excited against its will.
So the mind is also not the self.
When people say, for instance, “I am going to work”, they are just using a convenient name I for a collection of physical and mental factors.
In reality, there is no I or self.
Egoistic and self centered people see themselves as a self that is permanent and independent.
according to Buddhist thought.

This in turn makes them feel constantly threatened by people and situations which then requires protecting of their beings, possessions and opinions.

But once people realise that the self is just a convenient name for a collection of constantly changing physical and mental factors, they will no longer cling to it in fear and insecurity.

They will find it easier to grow, learn, develop, and to be generous, kind and compassionate because they will no longer need to be constantly on the defensive.

Understanding the fact that there is no "self" can help people deal more effectively with everyday situation. It encourages the cultivation of Good Conduct and helps one to progress towards happiness, peace and Enlightenment.

An article written by someone about 9/11 being justified
I stated 9/11 was not justified. It is only the wicked who would do such a thing. The wicked abuse women and souls of their own people.
The reply from one blogger was that unless the women stand up and fight for themselves to obtain freedom, we have no right to intervene .
So I searched the life of Jesus and I found so many martyrs who fought and died for something they believed in. How many more need to die?
They do not include the millions who died by machetes in Africa for believing in the wrong prophet.
They had no right to freedom of thought or speech, things we take for granted in our part of the world because of Christianity.
These people in Africa, are all Christian martyrs

Martyrs for Christianity suffer persecution simply because they are children of God, who are totally devoted towards His cause for the salvation of humanity.

The children of the world hate the children of God and will do anything in their power to discourage or even kill those individuals who will not bow down or compromise with them.
Martyrs for Christianity have also been imprisoned, and unjustly condemned. Plus on top of that, falsely accused, ridiculed and scorned.
Children of the world have a malicious, spiteful and envious spirits. They are totally devoted to the world and the things of it.

Although Christian persecution continues in the 21st Century, the voice of the martyr in the 1st Century is still the most dramatic evidence that the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ was not a man-made hoax conspired by a group of disciples. Since the apostles and many of the early disciples were eye-witnesses to the life of Jesus, their story was not just based on religious belief, but actual historical events. It’s one thing to die for a religious belief, such as an Islamic fundamentalist or a follower of David Koresh. It’s quite another to die for a known lie. Here is a list of eye-witness martyrs as compiled from numerous sources outside the Bible, the most-famous of which is Foxes’ Christian Martyrs of the World:

"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as it’s own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world.
That is why the world hates you. Remember the words I spoke to you: "No servant is greater than his master." If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the One who sent me." (John 15:18-21)
Jesus


Stephen was preaching the gospel in Jerusalem on the Passover after Christ’s crucifixion. He was cast out of the city and stoned to death. About 2,000 Christians suffered martyrdom during this time (about 34 A.D.).

James, the son of Zebedee and the elder brother of John, was killed when Herod Agrippa arrived as governor of Judea. Many early disciples were martyred under Agrippa’s rule, including Timon and Parmenas (about 44 A.D.).

Philip, a disciple from Bethsaida, in Galilee, suffered martyrdom at Heliopolis, in Phrygia. He was scourged, thrown into prison, and afterwards crucified (about 54 A.D.).

Matthew, the tax-collector from Nazareth who wrote a gospel in Hebrew, was preaching in Ethiopia when he suffered martyrdom by the sword (about 60 A.D.).

James, the Brother of Jesus, administered the early church in Jerusalem and was the author of a book in the Bible. At the age of 94 he was beat and stoned, and finally had his brains bashed out with a fuller's club.

Matthias was the apostle who filled the vacant place of Judas. He was stoned at Jerusalem and then beheaded.

Andrew, the brother of Peter, preached the gospel throughout Asia. On his arrival at Edessa, he was arrested and crucified on a cross, two ends of which were fixed transversely in the ground (thus the term, St. Andrew's Cross).

Mark was converted to Christianity by Peter, and then transcribed Peter’s account of Jesus in his Gospel. Mark was dragged to pieces by the people of Alexandria in front of Serapis, their pagan idol.

Peter was condemned to death and crucified at Rome. Jerome holds that Peter was crucified upside down, at his own request, because he said he was unworthy to be crucified in the same manner as his Lord.

Paul suffered in the first persecution under Nero. Because of the converting impact he was having on people in the face of martyrdom, he was led to a private place outside the city where he gave his neck to the sword.

Jude, the brother of James, was commonly called Thaddeus. He was crucified at Edessa in about 72 A.D.

Bartholomew translated the Gospel of Matthew in India. He was cruelly beaten and crucified by idolaters there.

Thomas, called Didymus, preached in Parthia and India. He was thrust through with a spear by pagan priests.

Luke was the author of the Gospel under his name. He traveled with Paul through various countries and was supposedly hanged on an olive tree by idolatrous priests in Greece.

Barnabas, of Cyprus, was killed without many known facts about 73 A.D. Simon, surnamed Zelotes, preached in Africa and Britain, where he was crucified in about 74 A.D.

John, the "beloved disciple," was the brother of James. Although he suffered great persecution, including imprisonment where he wrote the book of Revelation, he was the only apostle who escaped a violent death.
Voice of the Martyrs - People May Die for a Belief, but Not for a Lie
when life is at stake, multi-party conspiracies break down very quickly.

Matthew 5:5LThis verse also shows that a Christian is different. He is different from a person who is not a Christian. What Jesus said in verses 3 and 4 should prepare us for this verse. If you are poor in *spirit you will feel sad about some things. The result is that you will be humble. A person who is not a Christian wants to have everything for himself. He thinks that he is the most important person. The Christian is different. When Jesus spoke these words, it was a shock for the Jews. The Jews, of course, had expected a military *Messiah. A military *Messiah could not be a humble person.

Joan of Arc is beloved by the people of France to this day for sacrificing her life for her God. God spoke to her and she wouldn’t deny it.

St Lucy born 284 , Syracuse, died 304 Syracuse She wanted to devote her life to God and her fiancée reported her to the governor who desired to punish her by attempting to put her into a brothel and abusing her with fire and torments until she died. A woman was thus not allowed to hold onto her virtue or her belief.
Today we give it for free or we can keep it and no one cares.

Throughout history people have shed blood for Christianity. To this day people, soldiers are dying for freedom Christianity symbolizes, among other things.
In our societies you are free to love God and you are free not to love him because in the end it is between you and God.
God has no fear in losing. He wants man to understand . He knows man needs time to grow to understand
but if man is stopped from growing then eventually he will have to step in and humble him anyway.
It is man of this world that is somehow threatened by God.

The status and possessions of this world are not what Christianity represents or desires or promises in the next. So you can have them or not.

Today we have so much we don’t need anymore. But in other parts of the world man needs a lot because he is told he is not entitled to anything but food, water and reproduction.
If he refuses or decides to think for himself, he is killed.

So simply put, to turn our backs and ignore human rights, human salvation, is to eventually face the same martyrdom in this part of the world, as our predecessors suffered.

Man was set free by God to decide for himself what he wanted to believe in.
Stopping people from doing this, is not in any ones interest.
People need to be free so they can all learn.
