It dates all the way back to the days of Jesus where scientists said they found no soot deep inside pyramids which they should have, if they only used fire from candles and oil for light.
It is believed Egypt knew how to make batteries and light bulbs.

Today, we could use one light bulb to light a whole house at night by using mirrors placed in strategic places.
Not many people do however but it would be a good selling point I think.

Like in my house, as a selling point, the contractor put in so many ceiling lights which constantly burn out.
I rarely changed a bulb in my Mothers house and they used regular GE light bulbs.

Nothing replaces good ol fashion sunlight and so we should go outside to enjoy it for good mental and physical health.

Solar power absorbed during the day, light up our back yards but these little power lights can also be used to light up our homes.

Today with a little ingenuity, life can be a lot of fun figuring things out in each home.We always have wind to supplement sunlight power.

I can't help but feel that with our planet being so old,man and technology existed before and was for some reason annihilated by some disaster like the dinosaurs were. Maybe it was whipped around the galaxy before finding this orbit we are on today.
The planet has a way of churning itself in such a way so as to destroy all evidence of previous existence of life.

Maybe some escaped and then once things cooled off and the planet was again capable of supporting life, man began again from scratch.
With everything destroyed, he was left with little in terms of learning and had to begin from scratch as a caveman.

Today with impending prophesies of doom in 2012,this could happen again.
We see disaster after disaster unlike anything we've seen in our lifetime or maybe life was always the same except that it wasn't advertised as it is today.
People just died and no one knew.It is predicted that the Atlantic will disappear as will the Mediterranean and Australia will join with Asia.How will it happen? Slowly or Quickly?

In Australia, the Aboriginals discovered by sailors,lived off the land and rarely stayed in the same place for very long.They built no shelters and left no visible traces that they were ever there.They knew how to survive though in places where
others would definitely die.

This morning in BC, we fear cougars wolves and bears which are coming down from the North to feast on the weak and the feeble.Yesterday two children were attacked by a cougar on Vancouver Island and is being hunted now by the police. People are advised to stay away from bogs and wood trails because we seem to be having more and more incidences of attacks.
What can you do?
I guess we have to go back to cow boy days and carry a gun for personal safety or risk being mauled by a wild animal.

On the other hand raccoons are proliferating at an amazing pace in the lower mainland and as people are not allowed to shoot them, they are next to impossible to get rid of.
They are extremely intelligent.
A good supply of cougars lynx and bobcats would resolve the problem.
As usual, man interferes.

Today Canada is also switching from analog to digital.Everyone will need a special 30 dollar box connected to the regular tv set now to watch it.

Brisbane sure puts on a show .

Australia, home to such as Nicole Kidman and Russel Crowe, can be proud as crowds come in to watch how movies are made.

I wonder which movie they are acting out today?
Will people be changed because of what they see?

They came in to the little town

Australia Flooding

This picture shows what other dangers people have to face in Australia.
The flooding has reached Brisbane. Cars are being swept away and waters can be seen reaching roof tops and some of the most dangerous of vipers are clinging to life.
I can see those waters filled with crocodiles.

So now we find out that my son is left at home with his little daughter cut off from leaving his town because of this flood while his wife is safe at her brothers place for now.
My son doesn't drive so he had to wait for his wife to get him out of there and she couldn't get through because the roads were closed.

The rest of us sit and wait and watch to see what is going to happen next.

God is angry at man because of his arrogance.
If judges sit and behave like Pontius Pilate, making wrong decisions for the wrong reasons, like they are doing with gay marriage,and relieving the country of Christian mercy, then all we will have left are people with no souls and no mercy, such as the young man who shot in Safeway at the Congress Woman.
Why is Obama pushing higher costs of living, when people are homeless and job less? They are selling homes for 1000.00 Why not let the people live in their homes?
We went into a war just to catch Bin Laden. Where is Bin Laden?
Why can't they find him and bring the soldiers home?

We can't blame God for his wrath.
We create wrath ourselves.

Update : My Son seems to be fine where he is but his wife can't get home because of the flooding.

Not This Sheila

Charles is driving over Sydney Harbour Bridge one day in his ute when he sees his girlfriend Sheila just about to throw herself off the bridge into the water far below.

Charles slams on the brakes & shouts "G'day Sheila! What the hell do you think you're doing?"

Sheila turns around with a tear in her eye and says

"G'day Charles - You got me pregnant & so now I'm gonna kill myself."

Charles gets a lump in his throat when he hears this and says

"Sheila, not only are you a great root, but you're a real sport."

Ya Right. Not this Sheila.

Tasmanian Tiger

We all know about the Tasmanian Devil but do we know about the Tasmanian Tiger?

Yes.. it comes from Australia where many weird animals come from. It's like a wolf with black stripes on its back.
It is a marsupial and both male and female has a pouch . The females cover her mammary glands and in the male it covers the testicles.
It grew 51 inches from the tip of its nose to the base of its tail. The tail was another 26 inches long. It stood 24 inches tall, weighed about 35 - 65 pounds and had 13 -19 stripes.

The color ranged between a yellowish brown to a greyish brown.
They hunted sheep so many farmers wanted them culled and trapped to the brink of extinction.
The last one known, was a male and he died in 1931 at a London Zoo.
Some people still claim to have seen them but no one had proof.
Many, like Ted Turner, gave over one million dollar rewards to catch them to prove they are not extinct, but they would not have to pay because of the anti trapping laws now in Australia
