Move Over Cher

I have no idea what they are singing but they sure sound good .

Move over Cher. The real women of the world, are taking over lol
These are the Buranovskiye Babushki Singers.
Grannies from a place called Udmurtia, a republic between Kama and Vyatka
(where the heck is this?)

They look so cute in their costumes and begin their spectacle by putting bread into an oven.
The same kind of oven old people used to have beds over, to keep warm in the olden days.

The Koreans had the same idea except they had pipes under the floor boards gathering the heat from the fireplace.

The oldest singer here is 76 years old.
They won 3rd place in the Russian Eurovision qualifying contest in 2010
and beat Dima Bilan, a former Eurovision winner.

All I can ask is, where are all our grandmothers?
Time to pull them out of senior citizens homes,
dust them off and let them,
 let it all hang out.lol

I used to work as a student, in an old folks home and boy,
I know these old people still have a lot
to give and share with the world and communities.
They would certainly enjoy doing it too.
One thing for sure, if they don't melt you with the songs,
they will melt your heart with their sweet smiles.
It takes so little to make an old person happy.
----------------------------------------------------
I loved the Republican Convention Speeches yesterday.
They were inspiring especially when they spoke about love of ones country
and family.
This is the America I know and love.

I also thought seeing Clint Eastwood was funny
because he led the invisible Obama to believe that he's going to have a huge battle on his hands.
You have to understand Clint is old now and lost his voice. It was nice to see him.
He took the edge off.
You know, with the public cheering for him, it took a lot of his talking time.
He egged the President on....... to make his day and show us what he's got. lol
Unlike some people who think Clint Eastwood is senile, I think he was being cute
and promoting a new film, like most actors do, when they get into their scripts. lol

Sneaky lol
People, get with the program.
Clint Eastwood said in the end after all the egging, it's America that counts.
The people...... who like their independence.
Now why didn't the American reporters understand this?

Sheesh! There are only so many hours in a day. How long did they expect Romney to talk?
There is a time and place for everything. He had to leave something to discuss with Obama.lol
Romneys' speech was more than excellent and he said everything he should have said or was expected of him to say at a Republican Convention.
Romney is putting America back on track pushing for excellence and this is a good road to be on.

America is always about Free Enterprise .
Giving away everything, believing you will get something in return, is not a good way to think.
It didn't work in Russia .Services get worse when  "a pass the buck" government takes over.

Businesses should be kept small and local so they are easier to control.
At least this is my opinion from Canada.

We worry up here because everything that happens in America, happens here.
Obama cost us many jobs in Canada because we have a lot of American firms here.
Every one is afraid and living in uncertainty, waiting to see what will happen across the border.
Americans are great people, so north of the border, we always wish them well.

St James Way

This is a pilgrimage people take to get to the Cathedral of
Santiago de Compostela, located in Galicia , Spain.
It is believed Apostle St James is buried here.

People like to take it because they have a chance to meet people
discuss things and make friends.
The route is 1000 km  or 625 mi which can be done in 6 weeks.

James was a fisherman  believed to be the brother of John the Evangelist.
He was one of Jesus' closest friends and was said to have seen him after resurection
The Apostles were given areas to work in to spread the gospel
and James was given the area around Spain, where he preached before returning to
Jerusalem.
He was known as James the Just because of his virtue and because he died a
martyr after being stoned.
He was then carried down the coast and put into a stone boat and taken back to Spain.
Queen Lupa brought him from Padron to Arca Marmorica where he was placed in a tomb.
James was buried there with two disciples Atanasius and Theordore.

In the 9th Century, 800 years later, Pelayo, a hermit found the tomb and Spain was elated because she needed something to inspire the Christians. against the invading Moors.
This was when the pilgrimages began.
One route travelled began from Roncesvalles, Another from Seville, on the Via de la Plata
All the routes are marked by yellow arrows.

Charlie Sheens' Dad made a movie about such a pilgrimage and how it healed him and made him whole again, after his son died. His son was going to make this journey and instead it was his Dad who made it for him. Lovely movie.

Interesting stuff.

Housework was a woman's job, but one evening, Janice arrived home from work to find the children bathed, one load of laundry in the washer and another in the dryer. Dinner was on the stove, and the table set.
She was astonished!

It turns out that Dave had read an article that said, 'Wives who work full-time and had to do their own housework were too tired to have sex'.

The night went very well. The next day, Janice told her friends all about it. 'We had a great dinner. Dave even cleaned up the kitchen. He helped the kids do their homework, folded all the laundry and put it away. I really enjoyed the evening.'

'But what about afterward?' asked her friends.

'Oh, that........... Dave was too tired.'

Yellow Heads

I read the Book    Buddha by Deepak Chopra.

It was quite interesting at the beginning, although a bit slow.

Buddha was a son of a king, astrologers foretold would either be a great king
or world leader. His Mom died soon after he was born and he was kept isolated
by his Father from all things he considered evil.

Buddha suffered as he did not want to fight and kill or follow his Fathers' belief that
a ruler must be feared.
He said: Father, I love you and I don't fear you, so why should the people?

It is something I could relate to because I also grew up with so much feeling of love,
I thought if I could only talk to the people I could resolve all the worlds problems.

When I went out into the world, all I could do was bend my head and block my ears
from the over whelming evil I saw out there and the hopelessness that
it could ever be resolved.
How do you resolve anything, when people are so divided and full of self?
They yell, scream, fight, throw bombs, back stab and come from all
religious back grounds.
The more children are born, the bigger the problem becomes.

Buddha was special in that he was able to stand between two fighting people and just by the spirit of his presence, they would stop and go their own way.

Buddha believed God could not resolve mans' problems.
This was up to man to do through disassociation.

Through starvation and meditation Buddha became enlightened.
He found out that once desire for things left, there would be no reason to fight.

In life, we fight for everything: Love, food, shelter, jobs, clothes, money, education, freedom, country....
In order to get something, we are taught we need to persevere and fight for our rights to obtain
the things we need, to be happy.
Through out the years, no matter how nice you make life for people, they are never happy.
The more freedom you give them, the more they try to use their freedom, to stand in the way of others.
 Nothing ever stops but builds.

Buddha found once desire leaves you , we will have no needs and thus be happy and at peace.

It was a good book to read but the ending a bit weak. I expected a lot more from his teachings.

However, I can't see man going to the extent of disassociating himself from experiencing life and suffering,
such as it is.
We are here to experience and learn from suffering inside a living body. Life is a gift from God and this is what makes suicide so abhorrent because it's the same as throwing Gods' gift back into his face.
Taking a life, be it man or beast, is abhorrent for the same reason and once we begin seeing our ancestors
in plants,  eating them becomes also abhorrent.
No matter what we do, we sin.

I guess once we are dead and become spirits, desires would lift of their own accord.
So the problem is not just desire but the material aspect of having a physical body and the desire to keep it immortal.

So far we found no solution to that problem. Immortality lies in what happens after we are born.
But if life is an illusion as Buddha says, then no matter what we do, is ok.
If we kill some one, it's not real. If someone kills us, it's not real.
Our suffering is not real. Our life and our death are not real.
All the issues we fight over are not real.
So what is this all about if not for learning the experience of life and living in a physical world?
Can this illusion not be seen as a miracle?

I look at plants and animals today and find they too are becoming intelligent.
Lions are tamer, dogs are almost human, chimps can sign language, plants grow better when you talk to them.

All the yellow heads hiding behind tall grasses just might be our living dead cheerfully saying:
 Hi!
We see them all around us supporting us, nourishing us, forgiving us, saving us.

Should not mankind have the desire to a learning experience of knowing what it means to live without suffering?
It's tricky but I have faith one day, man will find the answer.
Kushinagar or Kusinagar is a town and a nagar panchayat in Kushinagar district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is an important Buddhist pilgrimage site, where Gautama Buddha died.

Buddha died when he was 80 after eating some poison mushrooms.

Here is a short version of Buddha's bio.

-----------------
I watched the Republican speeches yesterday and they were wonderful. Anne Romney brought tears to every womans' eyes. Working to keep the US number one in the world is indeed attractive.
It's always better to lead than to be led. Always good to be free to make your own decisions than have your
wallet emptied for services you will never get and thus denied financially to do things for yourself as well.
Answers lie between the people, not government. We can see that before government comes to help you, your neighbor is right next door and a more dependable source for aid.

Hurricane Isaac is slowly going behind the levees, flooding Louisiana after bashing Haiti Cuba and the Florida Keys.
Now how does it know to do this? People had to break through onto rooftops to escape and get rescued.
What a terrible thing to happen again.
I guess if people want to live in these areas, they have to build homes on 14 foot stilts and hope they don't get washed out by the water.
Terrible for the poor people who have to live with a trailer always packed, ready  to escape.
On the other hand, why doesn't the President send planes to disrupt the storm . I am sure they could do it.

Such Perfection

Another view of a poofy dandelion
 Perfect symmetry designed by nature.

This is so easy and not as messy as using the egg itself to separate the egg white from the egg yolk unless you have a special egg yolk separator.
Kids would find it fun to join in to help in the cooking. yuk yuk yuk. :)

Romance Pianissimo

I am trying to learn this piece on my piano
from my first piano solo book.
Its an old book for beginners.
I know I will never be good at it as my skills are very limited. lol

But it is a slow piece and so I decided to give it a go
since I have enough knitted items.lol
Listening to it hopefully will give me what I need to know
where my mistakes are.
Here it is played beautifully
This is where one appreciates music listening .
It does get a little frisky at times
so wish me luck lol

Blood and Venom

This is pretty scary.
When a snake bites you, people say don't cut and don't suck out venom.
Stay calm so the venom doesn't travel quickly in your system.
We can see here what happens to blood when a snake bites.
All snakes are different
A King Cobra has enough venom to kill an elephant.
Its' venom attacks the lymphatic glands.
A rattlers' travels in the blood so a person is told to lie very still.
Some anti venom costs 1,500 pounds.
Some you can only find in certain countries and has to be brought in.

A gram of snake venom is worth more than a gram of gold.
So now we can understand why people raise venomous snakes.
I don't know if its worth the risk, making friends with those sharp fangs and
most people who handle snakes, say they do get bit.
There is just no way around it.
I wonder if aspirin would help stop venom from coagulating blood?
hmmm
Probably it would be too slow.
It took seconds for this blood to coagulate.

In Australia a gram of dried venom goes for these prices.
to reputable research facilities.

Price per gram $US
Acanthophis antarcticus $750
Notechis scutatus $1,500
Oxyuranus scutellatus $800
Pseudechis australis $500
Pseudonaja affinis $3,800
Pseudonaja nuchalis $3,800
Pseudonaja textilis $3,800

Gold per gram costs 45.00 US but usually they will sell it for more than this price.
Big difference hunh?
A vial of scorpian antivenom used mainly for children costs over 12,000 dollars and
you would need 3-5 vials.
Sheesh!
Anti venom is produced by taking venom, diluting it and then injecting it into a horse, sheep or goat which will  develop antibodies which then could be extracted to use as antivenom.\
Some people give themselves the injection and develop antevenom in their own bodies and thus become immune to a special snakes' bite.
King snakes, hedge hogs, mongoose and possums also have a better immune system to some snake bites.

A social system to cover the cost of snake bites would be beneficial considering the price of ante venom.
but there is not much out there if one should get bit.

It's nice to know there is a social system there to help pay for expensive procedures but for small things, people can afford to pay themselves. At least in my opinion.
Many people rush to doctors for any little reason jacking up the costs of health care.

Health professionals also tend to do things twice as opposed to once which results again in double costs.
Compare this to what a person, who would go to a doctor only when there was a real reason to go and
pay no double payments, because the doctor would have to do the job right the first time.
Then there are people who share a card using the same name.
If the files are checked you have some sick puppy with simultaneous diseases and different blood type. lol

Something to think about

Abortion Hoopla

This is such a tiresome issue because it's been going on for ages.

If a woman is to be considered truly free as a person and human being,
no one can tell her what to do with her body.

Personally, I don't like abortion, especially if it's done later when
the baby can be saved to live a normal life .
That for me, would be a cold and cruel act to do.
I think women should get pregnant only if they will love the baby they
put into this world.
Children truly are a blessing.
I love them.
I love the world they live in.
I love their smiles and giggles and even what makes them cry.
I love to watch how they discover the world.
I am a Mother.
I love being a Mother and I recommend it to every woman.
But to be a good Mother requires stability, to be able to enjoy your child
and for your child to enjoy you.
Day care is not a solution because you miss out on the greatest privilege and reward
of watching your own child grow.
You have to be able to be there to correct mistakes as they happen.
To be a Mother IS a job.
Not only to take care of an infant but also to sacrifice your own time.
Men play a similar role to raise an infant but they don't have to be there all the time.
Their reward is to come home to a family who is safe and loves them and waits for them
every moment of the day.
A man becomes a beloved also self sacrificing for the love of family and country.

I love home based businesses for women since
they can multitask and make a few bucks keeping their sanity. lol
Government, has a place in business but not in the personal aspects of a persons life.
The thing about social help, is it makes everything governments business even
the decision to live or die.
They pay, so they own you.
It's quite different from saying we pay you taxes so we own you (the government). lol
Something goes hay wire after government receives the tax money.
They'll spend on war faster than they will spend on trying to keep you alive.
It becomes a different animal, with a sense of entitlement.
Sacrifice one, to save a million type of thing.
They'll abort you in a blink of an eye, legally because no one will question them about it.
Ask any soldier.
People running the government, have personal feelings about issues but they are not elected
to make their personal feelings rule a country.
So these questions like, how do you feel about abortion, is not a question that should be asked.
You are asking a person if he is capable of killing.
My answer would be no, irrespective of how I feel as a woman .
As a woman I feel every one has the capability to kill if it's a question of survival.
Every woman who has ever been pregnant understands what that means.
Pregnancy should be a welcome thing, not an issue of entrapment.
To say no to abortion, is entrapping a person, putting her in a cage for loving and feeling love.
Desperation leads to doing desperate things.
We all need love and support but the few bucks they send your way doesn't fill the void.

We should keep intimate love safe because we all know what it results in.
It results in something bigger than ourselves and if we are not ready,
then instead of making one mistake, we make two and then three and so on.

Government is there for all the people and laws have to be made the same for all the people.
We ensure the people we can provide the best representation for them with a heterogeneous
society such as we have.
Abortion, however, is a personal private issue and involves only the person and her doctor.
What would a law do?
Put a woman in jail? Stone her? Hang her?
Then all women would be jailed or dead.
Those days are over.
A sad woman would not make a good Mother, so why force her to be?
Men are not allowed to control a woman's body via laws and
women, as men, answer only to God.
God being merciful, forgives, because he wants to see learning take place,
Maturity, understanding.
We were sent here to make all our mistakes so as to learn from them.
The old saying applies:
You either learn the easy way or the hard way, but in the end, you learn.

Men should grow up and control themselves .
No means no ,
and yes
Rape is rape.

I am amazed so much time is lost discussing these issues instead of the economy.
The first priority is to be able to put food on the table and a roof over your head.
We look at the suffering in Africa.
We've been watching since the day I was born,
so many dead/dying babies living in dirt, covered with flies.
You have to ask why?
You do the Christian thing and help raise these children but they are raised in poverty
and live in poverty and watch their own children die and then become rebels.
They lose the ability to love fellow man but not the intimacy and thus control over women.
So to save herself, cannot a woman say no?
Does she need to put a life into this world to suffer and die?
She can but.... she should also have the right to say no.
xoxoxo

Stop crying and viper your nose.

Why was the baby strawberry upset?
His mom and dad were in a jam.

A mother took her five-year-old son with her to the bank on a busy Friday. They got into line behind an overweight woman wearing a business suit, complete with pager. As the mother waited patiently, the boy looked at the woman in front and observed loudly: "She's fat."

The big woman turned around immediately and glared at the child, causing the embarrassed mother to reprimand him quietly.

However, a minute later, the unrepentant boy spread his hands as far as they would go and said loudly: "I bet her butt is that wide!" Again, the woman turned and gave him a withering look, forcing the mother to give him a stricter telling off.

But a couple of minutes later the boy stated loudly: "Look how the fat hangs over her belt!" The woman turned and told the mother in no uncertain terms that she ought to teach her son some manners. The mother responded by issuing threats if he did not behave himself. The boy promised to keep quiet.

Three minutes later, the large woman got to the front of the queue but just as she did so, her pager began to emit its distinctive tone. The boy could not help himself. "Run for your life, mom!" he yelled in panic. "She's backing up!"

Did I complain about not ever being the greatest of hostesses?
This guest would really please me. lol
He even says his prayers.
Eat up and enjoy!
What a great video!
lol

In case you were wondering what Conservative means
This was sent to me by a friend.
One of the very best emails I have  received where it gently explains the difference in thinking between people with  opposite outlooks.     A  young woman was about to finish her first year of college.  Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be very liberal, and among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government  programs; in other words redistribution of wealth.  She  was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch conservative, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be  his.

One  day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the need for more government programs.  The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father.

He responded by asking how she was doing in  school. Taken  aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying.   Her  father listened and then asked, "How is your friend Audrey  doing?"   She  replied, "Audrey is barely getting by.  All she takes are easy classes, she never studies and she barely has a 2.0 GPA.  She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast.  She's always invited to all the parties and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over."

Her  wise father asked his daughter, "Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask  him to deduct 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0.  That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA."   The  daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back,  "That's a crazy idea, how would that be fair!  I've worked really hard for my  grades!  I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work!  Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree.   She played while I worked my tail off!"   The  father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, "Welcome to the conservative side of the fence."

Bear Crabbing

This was a photo given to me by my cousin and his wife,
who went up to Port Alberni, BC for the sight seeing tour.
They came back so delighted to have been able to see a lot of bears,
a hump back whale , dolphins and other wild life, otherwise
unseen by human eyes.
Peanut was rolling huge rocks with such ease, to look for crabs.
When he found one he'd stand and crackle munch away lol
I asked my cousins why the bear was two toned and they said it's because
he isn't full grown and his fur will eventually all turn black.
Well, this girl learned something today lol
He sure is cute!
I could give him a great big Bear hug.
My cousins have a fondness for bears and especially for our special rescue bear Boo
up in the interior, Golden area .

Every year they go up to check on him to see how he's doing.
Every one is cheering for Boo
and wish him the best of luck .
There are many bears by Crystal Lake, who aren't so lucky.
A bear, the size of Peanut, could jump 6 feet ,if need be, to climb a hill, with the greatest of ease, making us poor human creatures, look quite ridiculous trying to get away.
If only wild animals could be domesticated, like we do our dogs.
I am sure every one would love to have one of these guys to play with at home.
Large, cuddly, fun to watch and boy ...who'd mess with a bear in your yard.
No one in his right mind. lol

Well I guess we just have to make do with watching them from a distance and try to make life easier for them to survive.

The Victoria Night Life

Victoria, BC was bustling with night life.
We had a wonderful view if her from our Hotel window.
The camera doesn't do it justice.
The parliament building was all lit up and it felt like Christmas.
The city has a wonderful Canadian flavor to it.
British Columbians love their city and what's not to love here.
It's so beautiful every where you go.

When we first entered our hotel room I was a bit confused as to what I was seeing here.
Then it dawned on me, that the beautiful Empress Hotel was just across the harbor and'so were the Parliament buildings.
We were seconds away from down town in the business section.
I remembered taking my mother there the last time we came which seems ages ago.
She had dinner at the Elegant Empress Hotel.
We'd go more often except it costs a lot to cross from the mainland on the ferry boat
and waiting lines to get back could be terrible.
This time coming back, the 5:30  ferry was booked solid so we had to wait from 3:30 to 8:30
to catch the next ferry boat from Nanaimo.
It was another some 90 min plus ride to get across and then the drive home.
I guess you have to expect this but sitting in a parking lot surrounded by cars and trucks as not a way to spend a beautiful day in summer. We couldn't even go to the water front because it was gated off.
In winter it is raining most of the time most unpleasant so then you have to sit in your car to keep warm
covered in blankets.
Discovering this hotel I thought hmm
It must be wonderful to have a room here when they have fireworks.
It's nice to have a hotel room here at any time of the year. lol
What I liked was that it had a bathroom with a shower head you could move around you.
It is very convenient to have this.
The rest of the hotel is modern and beautiful too

What is the difference between a tube and a foolish Dutchman?
One is a hollow cylinder and the other a silly Hollander.

WIFE: "You loved me before we were married!"
HUSBAND: "Well, now it's your turn!"

Marriage is an institution intended to keep women out of mischief and get them into trouble.

Why is a dog like a tree? Because they both lose their bark once they're dead.

"See here, wait, I've found a button in my salad." "That's all right, sir, it's part of the dressing."

Why are circus horses the slowest breed? Because they are taught horses.

Who is the greatest chicken-killer in Shakespeare?
Macbeth, because he did murder most foul.

I'm giving yer me notice, mum." said the newly engaged maid, "'cos I finds yer don't trust me."
"But Jane, you only came two days ago. I gave you the key to the master's desk, my jewel case and the cellar. Surely that was proof that I trusted you."
"No, 'twasn't, mum. None of the keys fitted."

A left-handed maid servant reversed the order of the knives and forks on the dinner table. Her master, observing the mistake , reproved her. "Ah, true indeed sir," said she, "and now would you be pleased to help me turn the table round?"

"Bridget, where did you get that dreadful eye?"
"Me brother gave it to me, mum; and what will the neighbours say? Me with an eye like that and no husband."

Ah, Susan," said the mistress, meeting a former servant, "I suppose your getting better wages at your new place?"
"No, indeed, ma'am. I'm working for nothing now-I'm married."

What Does It Mean?

When Karl Marx said: " Religion is an opiate of the people" He didn't know what can of worms he opened .lol
Gosh. It makes me feel funny going all the way back to Karl Marx. Haven't heard that name in a long time.

Religion is a collection of cultural systems, belief systems, and worldviews that relate humanity to spirituality and, sometimes, to moral values.[note 1] Many religions have narratives, symbols, traditions and sacred histories that are intended to give meaning to life or to explain the origin of life or the universe. They tend to derive morality, ethics, religious laws or a preferred lifestyle from their ideas about the cosmos and human nature. There are thousands of religions in the world.[1]

Every where you look, Christianity is being attacked by the liberal element of society.

So I looked up the meaning of religion in WIKI and got the above.

In this way, I am able to broaden religion to include every belief system,
because wherever we go, people are all under one umbrella where it comes to the word  "spirituality ".

Every athiest , hates religion but is involved in some other thing like the cosmos, or politics.
Politics and the cosmos, involves religion.

You can't have politics without it being religious or religion without it being political.

Liberals religiously believe in liberalism.

So when you attack one religion you attack all religions, all ways of life, all cultures, all symbols, all traditions, all morality, ethics, all cosmos because all is encompassed under one umbrella.

So for example, if one says Christians have to have gay and women priests, then all religions have to have gay and women priests. lol

If one says  feet and hands have to be cut off or a person hanged or stoned for adultery and theft then theoretically, every one has to be and do the same.

If one says you are not allowed to kill insects, like cockroaches, then every one in the world should not be allowed to kill insects.

This affects Catholics, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Communists, socialists, atheists, liberals, hinduists,  Jehovah witnesses, mormons, klu klux clan , black panthers, Hells Angels, Human Rightists,  etc....
Every belief system has to abide by the same rules.

There are 1000 different  religions I understand in this world ,(not including political systems)so all of them have to have the same provisions with respect to gays and women.
Every one of them has to have the same dress code, Every one of them has to have the same  food, processing of food. same laws with respect to marriage life and death and animals, etc...

We have lots of religious beliefs around this planet but only Islam believes it has the right to put everything under its' umbrella.

Now many will object to this umbrella thing because if this happened liberalism, freedom and human rights etc...would  evaporate.
So would everything else that's different.

The whole purpose of having different people and different things is to be free to have free will as well as human rights to freedom .
We are free to believe what we want and to have our religious systems run by things we believe in.
We came to North America to obtain these freedoms. We teach other countries to be civil with respect to people so we could mix and have trade and tourism.

As of yet, Man has not developed a perfect system to live under, that is acceptable to every one.

Christian Churches in North America cannot be forced to perform gay marriages and to make gay people and women priests if this is not allowed by the Bible. Islam stands by her laws. She will never change the Queran and  neither will the Jews change their Torah.

So if you don't believe in certain things like gay and women priests or gay marriages, no one can force you to have them in your institution.
If you are forced to change your beliefs,  then the laws in Islam, must change as well as those found with Sikhs , Buddhists Hindus etc....
Which means the annihilation of all belief systems and this is what is going on right now in our fight for human rights, with Islam and other countries, who hurt their people.

It's nothing personal lol

There is only one way to stop religious battles but because people and countries are multicultural, it is hard if not impossible ,  to do.
Social and Power struggles will continue to exist because you can't please every one.

In the end, even if man is forced under one umbrella or one system of beliefs, whereby God would be out of the picture, for total equality to exist,
spiritualism will continue to live, as each living person consists of a soul as well as a body.
Science, as of yet, has not been able to find the soul inside the brain .
You can kill the brain but not the soul where the spirit lives.

So all we can hope for, is that Christianity, which believes in forgiveness, kindness and love, which in turn opens doors to human rights, freedom and positive good things for mankind,
 to win in the end.

Christianity doesn't force anyone to join and punishes no one for leaving. It even forgives sins other religions won't.
It wants people to understand that to have freedom, also requires one to be mature, truthful, just and to have the ability to understand love. Christianity has learned to evolve and continue learning.

Adam and Eve were free in paradise. They only had one law and this law was not a big law.
I don't think God cared if they ate the apple.
What God wanted to know was if they would obey because one had to understand the law to obey.
If one did not understand, then one would eventually destroy paradise
Paradise can only exist, if people living in it, are mature and understand the significance of the law, vital for it to be.

Under the word love, laws would not be required and God would be pleased to see his creation grow to become civilized and intelligent enough, to be considered worthy to sit at his table in paradise.
Paradise is where people have free will and no one to judge or be judged by.

As long as we need to regulate everything in our lives, it means man is no closer to advancing intellectually than he was
2000 years ago, in spite of all technological advances.

Man's inhumanity to man continues.
Man is at war with himself on this planet and he will always be at war every where he goes, because he does not accept, that only God
is, or has the right to, power.

Power is not for man to have.

We live under Gods' umbrella and this is why God has no face.
Our laws mean nothing to him if we have to fight , kill, make laws ,
create borders and stand in judgement of others.

If we truly understood God, none of what we do today, would be necessary.

So next time someone tells you he does not believe in God,
you can rest assured that this person is deceiving himself.
Next time a person goes to change something in a religion, know he does not understand God.
Next time a religion finds it has a right to hurt people, know it doesn't understand or speak for God.

God is love.
To understand love, means there are no laws or rules to live by.
Every person knows deep, inside the spirit, what the right thing to do is.
If he could reach the spirit inside himself,
mans' inhumanity to man would seize to exist because
Love is programmed into our DNA, by God, our creator.
Doors to immortality in paradise will open if and when man finally
reaches this point of understanding, when the veil can be lifted so he can see
clearly, without mans' laws and systems clouding the real truth and meaning to mans' existence.

We had the Industrial Revolution when man changed the way men worked.
We are going through a technological revolution right now when again
people are losing all their jobs and new ways to live and prosper need to be found.
As we continue to evolve, we will have another revolution and
maybe this one will have more to do with coming to terms
with mankind and the world we live in.
It doesn't always have to be a bad thing.

Maybe one day, we will live with less words but the quality of our lives will become better as we learn
to be closer to our personal spiritualism, than the political dogma of the world.
We will never have a perfect system, until we understand God = Love in the true sense of the word.

And if Love is an opiate.....then let me get drunk of it.
:)

Bankers Diner

We came across this beautiful regal bank building and were
surprised they turned it into a restaurant.

In front of the building there is a small black board with
LUNCH FEATURES

Angus Beef burgers
Fish and chips
BLT Sandwiches
Deli Style Turkey Sandwiches
Pizza

The finishing on the building was lovely

And guess what?
The sign above it says it is a Scottish Pub since 2008.
lol
It's on the corner of Fort St and Government St downtown Victoria, BC.

It has 30 different beers on tap
and
live music Wednesday thru Saturday .
Now that sounds like a party :)
---------------------------
McQuillan walked into a bar and ordered martini after martini, each time removing the olives and placing them in a jar. When the jar was filled with olives and all the drinks consumed, the Irishman started to leave.

"S'cuse me," said a customer, who was puzzled over what McQuillan had done. "What was that all about?"

"Nothing," said the Irishman, "my wife just sent me out for a jar of olives."

 ----------------------------

A drunk staggers into a Catholic Church, enters a confessional booth and sits down but says nothing.

The Priest coughs a few times to get his attention but the drunk continues to sit there.

Finally, the Priest pounds three times on the wall.

The drunk mumbles, "Ain't no use knockin, there's no paper on this side either."

--------------------------------------

Six retired Irishmen were playing poker in O'Leary's apartment when Paddy Murphy loses $500 on a single hand, clutches his chest and drops dead at the table. Showing respect for their fallen brother, the other five continue playing standing up.

Michael O'Connor looks around and asks, "Oh, me boys, someone got's to tell Paddy's wife... who will it be?"

They draw straws. Paul Gallagher picks the short one. They tell him to be discreet, be gentle, don't make a bad situation any worse.

"Discreet? I'm the most discreet Irishmen you'll ever meet. Discretion is me middle name. Leave it to me."

Gallagher goes over to Murphy's house and knocks on the door. Mrs. Murphy answers and asks what he wants. Gallagher declares, "Your husband just lost $500 and is afraid to come home."

"Tell him to drop dead!", says Murphy's wife.

"I'll go tell him," says Gallagher.

Cruisin the City

Victoria,BC  has so much to offer in terms of history.
We see things we haven't seen for years on the walls of old buildings.

An Old Pub hidden away between narrow streets in Victoria , BC
holds secrets as well as history.
At Garricks Head Pub, we found an old cigarette dispenser.

The bar has an old style to it.
And you don't often see deer heads anymore in pubs.

as well as games people used to entertain themselves with
to pass time.
The food was delicious as was the ambiance and service.

I couldn't help but take a few shots to remember it by.

--------------

In a School science class four worms were placed into four separate jars.

The first worm was put into a jar of alcohol.
The second worm was put into a jar of cigarette smoke.
The third worm was put into a jar of sperm.
The fourth worm was put into a jar of soil.

After one day, these were the results:
The first worm in alcohol --- dead.
The second worm in cigarette smoke --- dead.
The third worm in sperm --- dead.
The fourth worm in soil --- alive.

So the science teacher asked the class --- "What can you learn from this experiment."

Little Johnny quickly raised his hand and said. "As long as you drink, smoke and have sex, you won't have worms."

Q: What's the difference between the 1960's and the 2000's?

A: In the 2000's, a guy goes into a chemist shop and shouts, "Give me a box of condoms!" ... and then whispers to the shop assistant, "Oh, and slip in a packet of cigarettes, too."
 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A chicken and an egg are lying in bed. The chicken is leaning against the headboard smoking a cigarette, with a satisfied smile on its face.

The egg, looking a bit pissed off, grabs the sheet, rolls over and says, "Well, I guess we finally answered THAT question."

Entertaining Ad Nauseum

We walk this planet meeting people every day.
They seem to be nice and just like you.
They serve you coffee, bring your mail, and work at your place of employment.
They sit at your church or temple.
Your doctor, your lawyer, your MLA all good people doing their thing.
You put your trust into people as you feel they also put their trust in you.
You are all on the same page and yet we all agree that we disagree.
We read the same magazines, look at the same TV programs and listen to the same music.lol
We should be the same and yet we are different.
Life makes us different.
I like to entertain but now, not so much.
I have come to conclude, it's easier to entertain people in public places where they can choose what they like as opposed to having a sit down meal at home.

I met a lot of nice people in my life, invited them for dinner and went out of my way to spend quite a bit of time and money to make that perfect meal.
You always put more variety as you don't know what people like to eat.
After a long hot day preparing a table, you are ready for your guests lol
One guest I had, came from Korea. Very nice man.
But he did not like me sitting at the table with him.
It was not a womans' place he said. He had to tolerate it because I am not a servant in my husbands house lol Our conversation led to women and family.
He said they prefer to have women children because after a wife is too old or not good anymore, the daughter takes over ( in his bed). My presence destroyed his day and I had to hold myself back from kicking him out of my house to be polite. lol
Another time I invited guests for 5 pm.
It was after 8 and they didn't show up. Finally they did show up after everything was spoiled, stayed five minutes, gobbled what they could and quickly left.

Another time I invited a man who looked at my full table and told me there was nothing to eat.
There was only so much of one thing he could eat in one night he said. The rest was not the kind of ethnic food he likes to eat.
On top of all that he attacked my Englebert Humperdinck. He said what a stupid song Spanish Eyes was.
For one thing, every one knows Spanish people have brown eyes not blue. lol
In shock it took a while to register, so I could explain to him the meaning of the word blue.
Blue did not mean the color blue but the feeling of being blue, sad.
This time I saw a light flicker in the mans' head as he finally put something disturbing to him, to rest.

These are only a few disasters I have had to contend with in my attempts at being a good hostess.
Other examples include people who come with allergies you don't know about.
You may have a wonderful cook book with tons of good recipes but they can't be used because of such surprises. Egg dishes are out, pasta is out, pizza is out. People like to make their own salads with their own dressings.
I came to the conclusion that although I try my best, I am never going to win, as a hostess.

There are people who invite you and buy frozen food at the store and heat it up and ask you how you like it. First of all cooking a meal is different from buying frozen. Do they really expect a truthful answer? lol

It  makes you think what a fool you are standing over a hot stove, worrying about how to make a perfect meal for special guests when they don't consider you special enough to actually make a home cooked meal for you. You always have to be  the better man, more considerate and polite or you are rude ,
It's easier to
just go to the restaurant , keep your  kitchen clean and let the cook worry about what he serves because people never complain to him and eat everything . Everything they say they can't eat at your house, they eat at the restaurant.
Funny.

I think back at all the places I went to. No matter what food I was offered for the first time, I ate it to be polite and I didn't count calories for the same reason.
After all I thought, it's not something I am forced to eat at home is it?
It costs me nothing to please a person who went out of his way to please me.
In China, my husband was offered dog meat and monkey brains. He stopped eating meat when he got home because the smell of the meat reminded him of dogs. lol but people had no food back then in China and it would have been impolite to refuse.

Then I think geez... what must people be thinking of me when I go to their home and sit longer than 5 minutes or sit at the table with the men or don't eat till I burp to be polite. lol One place they made you put in a ticket at the door for a raffle. If they picked your name you got a little present. For us, if you are part of the game it's not polite to refuse the present. For them you have to refuse the present to show humbleness so someone else could get it.
Dinners can become quite complicated.lol

Today even at home, we have problems because the schools interfere, telling kids what they should eat.

Put kids in Soccer, the coaches starve them before a game, so they run faster. If you don't eat it makes you weaker not stronger and a hungry player doesn't think as well as a player with some good energy food.
One coach said if you lose, you buy your own meals and if you win, I buy them . In the morning it was rice crispies, lunch was subway and at night they went for a buffet. (No snacks or water after lights out. Those were fun times cause kids would sneak out and parents were on hand to give them bags of snacks and water for their rooms. )
They were playing many games in the summer heat and kept hungry to win.
Well they won but it was no thanks to the coaches but the Mothers who fed their kids behind their backs.

I know in my time kids were all raised strong and healthy on meat potatoes vegetables cabbage porridge kolbasas bread soups. Meals were fun to eat, every one talked and listened to the stories. We had sit down meals at regular times and all curriculum revolved around family routines.
Not so today.

My Mother mostly steamed food and never used strong spices but we also had a good 2 minute fried steak with onions and garlic waiting for us at lunch time. Salads, with lots of garlic and onions. Cabbage soup and cabbage rolls steamed in a pot with garlic and onions and tomato sauce. Hamburgers, which made todays look rather sad and you have to pay dearly for them.
Just this week I went to a place because they said: " Our hamburgers are made on charcoal ."
I had this craving and the smell of charcoal made me lick my chops.

But when I tasted it, ok, I could taste the burnt ......whatever it was......but I swear it had no meat in it.
It tasted something like plain uncooked meat but it was thoroughly cooked.
Now, to make matters worse, restaurants today make their servers come to your table to keep asking how you like the food and in between conversation you nod yes, very good, while thinking...... this is awful.
The server trots off into the kitchen to tell the chef he has another happy customer. lol

Eventually I told my husband do they really expect a truthful answer?
Giving a truthful answer would mean getting into a fight and spoiling your outing with your friends.
The best thing is to say nothing and not go back .lol

In our time families prepared excellent food. Today our kids come home from school and begin to dictate what they are allowed to eat. They cut out so many things, you wonder what's going to keep them healthy?
I hardly think store bought vitamins and body building whey powder from a jar is a replacement for natural food. For strong bones you need good milk not extra skim.
So it makes your shopping harder and more expensive because you need to buy two gallons of milk instead of one and then listen to lip from your kids as to why you bought the other one with fat.

Sorry but the body needs fat. You can't cut out fat altogether and expect to stay healthy.
Ok use stairs,  play tennis, join exercise groups and then go home and eat good wholesome natural food.

After listening,  ad nauseum, to your own kids complain because they learned all about food at school, you watch them walk out the door with their friends and where do they go?
McDonalds or to their friends house and pile up with spicy  and fatty food and later as they grow older ....beer lol

After a full life, I know I will never be a good hostess and so I don't need a real kitchen today .I think if people come to see you, they come to see you and not to eat. So fruit a little wine, cheese cucumber sandwiches  If the kids come home and ask what's to eat, I say I don't know, what do your friends have in their fridge lol

Makes life so much easier when you can suit yourself, just like every one else does.

Signs.

Caution Deep Water.
Most of us interpret this as Danger.
But there are some of us who can't read or understand what they are reading.
Some of us see a thrill there to experience.
Some won't believe the sign.
Some feel they are powerful enough and great swimmers to not be bothered with the sign.
Some think not to worry because the life guard will save them.
Others think Woah! Let's spray paint it.
lol
Some are drunk or high and will sit and laugh at the sign.
Heaven help them when they plunge in and swim out into the depths surrounded  by undercurrents and big fish.
After all, it's just a sign and it never changes.
What are they going to do if we don't obey the sign, eh?

The thing here is
What changes, are the people reading the sign.
When parents call in their children because of the sign,
the children rebel.
Crazy parents, they say
Over the hill.
Stupid.

When one of them dies, the warning is still not understood.
More go in and take risks with their lives.

We, in free countries, see this as the right of the individual to decide for himself what he wants to do.

We can also see this warning in terms of a veil.
The warning is not a lie. It speaks of danger.
But people do not believe or trust in the sign or veil
They do not understand the consequences
and when bad things happen, they don't even cry.
They say it was a choice made and no ones fault.

This is called living in a free country.
You can study the sign, to see under the veil, the hidden meanings
or you can choose to ignore it.
Bungy jumping is the same.
Some take the risk the rope won't break and others think
The rope might break so I won't risk it.
We are free to decide for ourselves.
If I was to think what kind of country I was to live in,
I'd like to live in a country where people are taught at school,
to be able to make good judgement decisions.
Being able to make good judgement decisions is different than being told
what to do.
The nature of man is to test the waters, discover things.
This is how we progress and learn.
When a country or religion stops progress and learning,
it is not a good thing.
It is because Adam and Eve had thoughts and did not obey the law,
that they were sent to a place where they did not have to.

So what happens when we are brought up in a country where people are taught not to make good judgement decisions and just follow orders?
What if one puts ones' toe into the water and people take a stick to your head, beat you good and stick you in jail with no food water or a toilet?
People are no different from animals. You beat a horse, he will obey but he will not love you.
He will run first chance he gets for freedom.

Acts of terror...to control.. does this mean my country was moving forward or stagnating
because no one is allowed to see if the sign is true?
Maybe it's old and the water is not deep?
Maybe someone put it up as a joke.
This is the dilemma we are facing today in world politics.
People come together and they interpret the sign in their own way.

Some know how to think and making an effort to think while others fear or refuse to think.

Some risk everything and others pull in the reins and say hold on there.
Don't jump till you see what's on the other side.
Some know what's on the other side and try to stop another from killing himself because of his foolishness.

Saying no can be seen as a hate crime as much as saying yes can be viewed as a hate crime.
depending on where you come from
There is no bad person here.
It's just that we are not brought up the same way.
Our society is beginning to understand this.
 However,
In order to understand the sign
We have to be on the same page and united.
Otherwise the laws don't work.
Constitutions don't work and
God help
multicultural countries where people run to for asylum and
bring their own signs from home.,

If a sign is effective but not good for them in their own country ,
why should it be in another established country, with its' own established signs?
What is good for one country doesn't mean its good for another.
Our water does not contain crocodiles as some countries do and so following the sign might not be that important.
The strength of a country, lies in the strength of it's people and the judgement decisions they make.
If the people are weak then doors are open for the united to walk in and take over.
When you have a good place to live, it pays to be diligent and stay on top of things.
It pays to keep the reins pulled in and to tread soft but steady.

Some old cultures already learned this with the signs they bring to our countries
. lol
Have a good one.
:)

Metamorphosis of A Baby into a Queen

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8nJhG1xE5o&feature=em-share_video_user

This is a wonderful video of our Queen Elizabeth 2nd.

We followed her journey from diapers into Buckingham Palace, where she bloomed into a full fledged Queen.

We will never see anything more noble than this Queen in our lifetime.

The 2012 Olympics came to an end and we saw our 86 year old darling jump out of a helicopter with James Bond and float down into the Olympic Stadium for the grand finale.

She quickly raced up the stairs and took her seat and people mocked her for seeming to be bored or maybe just plain tired as she picked her nails.

Some videos discredited her, saying she did this on purpose, to make way for her Son to be crowned and they remarked that the one eyed mascot, among other things, symbolized the Illuminate taking over.

Hateful, spiteful rumors, to destroy her lifes' work.
The Queen has been a remarkable model for people to follow and she always tried to do good by her people and the world.

Her son, Charles, is a different story but could we have expected a different outcome?
He has his own story but unfortunately people judge and his reign will result in nothing more than being seen as a snotty, clown  monarch, who due to his bad behavior, managed to kill the mother of his children, when she was thrown out of the family, who she did well by, to deal with life on her own.

Charles should really do the classy thing and step aside in favor of his oldest son William, who the people love, as they do his grandmother and who will continue to guarantee them all a salary.

William and Katherine will not only be King and Queen but

King and Queen of

peoples hearts.

In a Tavern

Mary Hopkins brought tears even to my parents eyes with this song.

Young people who's Dreams were shattered by war and life behind bars because of it,
kept hungry, beaten,
only to be freed and finally given a chance to make their dreams come true.

Some dug in and made it happen, Some spent it in bars wallowing in sorrow.
Some were too far gone to be brought back from the horrors.
Some spent it in both bars and jobs waiting for miracles.
Some sat creating, in thought or writing.
Some as gypsies wandering, searching for something... perhaps answers...purpose...

Age catches up to every one but dreams never fade.
Whether you are young or old, you have desires,
Dreams... timeless in nature and  always alive inside ones' soul.

In the end, every one agrees they lived the life they chose and so
they never lost, in the journey of life, as they found...
life goes full circle and in it, personal choices were made.
The answers and purpose always lie at the foot of our toes. lol
The journey is to find out how to lift the veil enough to see and understand what we are seeing.
 .
As long as you have life and breath, miracles can and do  happen.
Dreams can and do come true.
Every one has a guardian angel to watch over them and
He guides you in your lifes' journey no matter which road you take.

Some people never see wars or taste hunger or jail but are shattered
by personal experiences. They must learn to resolve their issues.
This is what they were sent here to do. To learn and experience truth.
This especially applies to people who are bullied.
Why one short/fat person and not another?
Why one person of a certain race and not another of the same race?
hmmm It's not hard to see that it is not race or color but something else.
We are here to learn you can't hide behind laws, to continue doing the wrong things you are doing,
 to make people dislike you.

One never surrenders looking for anwsers or purpose,
until God gently takes one by the hand and delivers one unto himself
to a better world, a better life and a better journey along with all that you have learned.

For the soul, there is no such thing as failure because every one
was sent to this world to gather such experiences.
From the day you are born, the journey from which you are to learn
is laid out before you.

Blessed LOVE

This song, How I love You, is about life and true love.
One body, one soul, one heart.
Eternal, Inseparable,
in this life and in the next.
Look into the eyes of the audience and everyone can be seen to
relate to the words uttered from the mouth of this beautiful man.

Do our children know love as powerful as this?
Will they ever know it?
Do we as parents know it?
Can we show them, teach them, what it means to love?

When I look at old people, who are still in love, after living
through all the pain suffering and injustices life threw at them, I think, yes.
They are ready for the next level as they climb up the stairs of immortality.
The blessing is in the innocence and light seen in their eyes
They have not been beaten and as a result,
obtained knowledge, many have yet to even begin to understand.

Love is not "just a word"
As intimacy is not "just sex".
It separates us, from those who have and know nothing,
from those who have experienced and
believe in something so powerful and strong,
that nothing can tear the bond between them.

It separates a house from a home and
Life from living.
It is indeed a blessed love and a humbling experience.
:)
 --------------------

A community orchestra was plagued by attendance problems. Several musicians were absent at each rehearsal. As a matter of fact, every player in the orchestra had missed several rehearsals, except for one very faithful oboe player. Finally, as the dress rehearsal drew to a close, the conductor took a moment to thank the oboist for her faithful attendance. She, of course, humbly responded "It's the least I could do, since I won't be at the performance."

To Sir With Love

Growing up in the 60's were beautiful days full of romantic notions.
So much was going on.To see these videos reminds me of the mini skirts and the
bell bottoms we used to wear and the long flower skirts.
Those days seem so far away today
The Movie To Sir With Love touched me a lot in those days.
I loved Sidney Poitier, how he commanded respect as well as honor
and taught his kids right from wrong, with dignity.
In Canada, where I grew up we didn't see racism.
We kids grew up all mixed together and I still think this is the best way to grow up.
People living mixed instead of separated communities, is the best way
to develop a united society.

We grew up believing in these kind of values which promoted
love, kindness, forgiveness and pacifism. It didn't stop us from fighting
and then making friends again lol
That's just a part of life growing up.

Of course Engelbert Humperdink and Tom Jones
made hot summers extra special, with their versions of love and passion.
We'd sit listening to their records for hours, dreaming about our futures.

They were North American heart throbs
Now, as old gals, these same songs still entertain our hearts and minds
These songs will never die.
This moment in time will be relived in future generations
just as the old clothes and shoes seem to be re invented every so often.
lol

Oh End of Summer and Young Love

I really like this song for summer love.

When I was a kid I'd go swimming in the park pool every afternoon.
The weather would be hot and the songs back then were Pretty Woman
and another song with lyrics:
She's the cutest little girl that you ever did see,
she's the cutest little girl and I know she's for me
She's the cutest little girl and she's gonna be mine
tada da, ta da da  , ta da da
I used to sing both making my way to the pool
But I don't remember who sang this second song.????

Anyway Pretty woman was good.
I felt young and pretty and sunny back then.
I was a great swimmer with a full life to look forward to ,
Those were
wonderful days to remember.

Canada - What a Gas!

I took so many pictures of these geese. I was obsessed with them. lol
There were so many of them but I couldn't get the whole group because they
would separate or chase each other away a few feet and the camera wouldn't
be able to capture it all. But they were fascinating to watch.
A movie camera would have really shown something interesting here.
The beach ball would roll up to them in the water and they were ok with it.
The people didn't mind them being around and the little children stood and talked to them and they stood beside them and cleaned their feathers feeling at home.
They were so friendly albeit a bit disappointed we had nothing for them.
Never mind.
My dog paid me back yesterday.
I went to get dog food and he got into the garbage and he also ate the defrosting mince meat on my counter.
Lately he doesn't like dog food and keeps his eye open for people food.
This dog I never feed people food except for buns because his stomach
doesn't tolerate people food.
But he's always been a sly one this Beau. lol
So Instead of making the good burgers I make, I decided to Crock it.
This morning my husband ate the best tasting soup/stew in the world.
Nothing like Croc Potting it.
---------------------------------------------------
There was a bit of confusion at the store this morning. When I was ready to pay for my groceries, the cashier said, "Strip down, facing me."
Making a mental note to complain to my Prime Minister about Homeland Security running amok, I did just as she had instructed.
When the hysterical shrieking and alarms finally subsided, I found out that she was referring to my credit card. I have been asked to shop elsewhere in the future.
They need to make their instructions to us seniors a little clearer!

The Geese Play Ball

The geese even pulled me into the water lol
I played volley ball with my son
Swam
And kept cool on an other wise very hot day.

People and kids jumped off of wharves parasailed, water skiid, tubed,
and BBQ picnics were every where.

This handsome goose walked around quite proud and was not to be pushed around by the older geese.

The view surrounded by mountains was as usual, wonderful
We could see campers hiding under the trees.
Events to take place include:
August 9th Blackthorne (Celtic Music with Highland Dancers)
August 16th Evans Palmer (Mixed Music)
August 24th Norine Braun (Original Music)
August 30th Carole Adams (Original Music)
