What is What is

I see no justice in the scars
I see no pain amongst the stars
I see what is, what is, what is.........
And what is not.

I see the laws
They scar the stars
Without the laws, there are no stars
No pain or justice, nor night or day
Just what is, what is, what is........
And what is not.

And what is not, is what I am
The scars, the justice and the pain
The star lit skies out in the dark
The flickering lights, in a tranquil night

There is no pain amongst the stars
No scarred stars without the laws
So why does my heart,
Blame the world?
Why does it fear what is , what is?
If what is not , is what I am.

For then it must be that I am
I am the laws the scars and pain
I must be justice, blackness and light
I must be a star, in a sky filled night

And if am all of those things
Then why do I seek one, to put the blame
For I am and I am not
And then I am what's in my heart.
And my heart is just what is, what is

And then again....... it's what it's not.

A Lady's Life

When is a baby not a baby?

When it's grown up.

Old wise experienced man comes back to his car & finds ticket saying
'Parking Fine'
He Writes a note on it and mails it back to the ticket issuer:
'Thanks for the compliment.'

When I was reading this, I started to recall W. H. Auden's poem, "Law, Like Love." HIs point is that Law is like Love, in that

Like love we don't know where or why
Like we can't compel of fly
Like love we often weep
Like love we seldom keep.

Or perhaps a little Neil Diamond:

I am, I cried
I am, said I
And I am lost, and I can't even say why.

Blessings and Bear hugs, m'lady.

Rob Bear - I really like this poem by Auden.
It's true, law is something that changes with the times. Basic laws hardly ever change but are not obeyed. Law can be fickle just like love. Both can Break your heart.

The thing with man is that we are all different and yet all the same.
No matter how smart you are you will make dumb mistakes. No matter how dumb you are, you will make some great decisions.
I guess when it comes to laws, they are just guidelines and it is up to people to decide when they look into their hearts.Nothing is black and white.

Gattina I still enjoy them because through them we see people do not change throughout the ages.
We sit arguing issues today, our parents and their parents and their parents before them argued.
And before them.Go w a a y back and you will find the sames poems saying the same things.
