NO.... but maybe YES

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHCLEeo1i2A

Every one knows Betty White from the Golden girls.
Here she is when she was young along with Jimmy Boyd, the
toothy freckled little boy, with a lot of spunk.
Gosh what a lovely voice she had.
Jimmy Boyd sang I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus and Tell Me a Story
and others like it
He sang so many different songs. I am sure every one remembers him.
It's just that  we forget, until we come across him and then say
Oh Ya..... How about that. I forgot about him. lol
 --------------------------------------
The days are getting to be sunny and wonderful to wake up to.

I finally got to go to the pool,  sauna , steam room and hot tub with my son.
The place was full of people my age so now I am hoping my husband
will go with me.
Will do us both good.
Stretched my calves and thigh muscles and they hurt the next day.
I was going to tell my guys that I will go every day but now...
I dont think so lol
3 1/2 hours in one day was enough to conk me out for the next day but
skip a day and I am  ready to up an at em again.
My son would not let me go to the gym.
He said I have to break myself in easy.

Now what does he know lol Guess lots. lol

Was nice to sweat my pores out  though.
Reminded me of the good ol days when working out every
day was a thrill. Later, working out meant cleaning house washing clothes and floors
playing with babies becoming a muscle woman bag lady, pushing strollers and
carrying shopping bags.
Easier to work out...3 1/2 hours and then be done .
The other way is a 26 hour job.
in a 24 hour day.
But we all do it and when the kids grow up, wish those days would be back.

Anyway, we find other things to do and can once again enjoy what is called
"freedom".

Well. .... People who know me well know I'm the Lady that says no no no but
it always sounds like yes and so don;t believe a word I say lol

Have a wonderful day.

little boy and old man

Old man , old man, is the world really round?
Tell me where in the world can a blue bird can be found?
Tell me where is the sky up above so blue
and when you were a boy did you cry like I do?

What becomes of the sun when it falls in the sea
and who lights it again so that we can see?
Tell me why can't I fly without wings when I try
I just can't understand why you're crying old man?

Little boy, little boy, yes it's true
The world is round
 But I never did find
Where the bluebird is found and
the sky is so blue, just because of love
May your sky always be, like the blue sky above

And the sun only seems to fall into the sea
If the sun always shone
how could moonlight be?
Little boy you can't fly, you might fall and I..
Well good bye, little boy,
 Good bye.

Old people and children have so much in common.

Little boy says I drop things. Old man says so do I
Little boy says I wet my pants, old man says so do I
Little boy says grown ups dont pay attention to me
Old man says  same with me
Little boy says I often cry, old man says so do I.

When you have things in common with other people,
esp old people, kids don't feel that bad .
I guess this is why a home should include grand parents.
The more communication there is between people,
the better it is.

I loved the songs from my time.

Miltons World

We have no snow up in the ski slopes.
Most of the ski mountains are closed for the season.
We look across at the US and marvel as usual at Mt Baker
 which is packed with snow.

Here in BC flowers are growing and I am looking at planting
more seeds sooner than later.
Reading up on things I found out how to tell what kind of soil
you have in your back yard.
You pick up some soil and press it in your hand.
If it falls apart very easily it's sand.
If it clumps, it's clay and if it's soft and crumbly, it's loam.
Knowing this, you can determine what kind of plants will
survive in the type of soil you have.
Now I know how farmers can determine if their soil is good for the crops
they want to plant. I dont know why they smell the soil though.
I looked it up and they said the way to test soil the best way you can
at home is to:

Quick & Dirty Method:
This won’t give you a specific reading, but it can give you an idea whether or not it’s acidic or alkaline.
  • Vinegar: Take a sample of dry dirt (about 1/4 cup), mix with distilled water to make a liquid “mud” and then start pouring household vinegar over top. If the mixture fizzes, it’s alkaline.
  • Baking soda: Mix dry dirt and distilled water as above then start sprinkling baking soda over top. If the mixture bubbles, it’s acidic.
If neither test produces a reaction, you have fairly neutral soil.

I also found out things about wild rice and why maybe it's healthier
to eat that than normal rice, which seems to contain lead.
Not many eat it and it's grown in the wild, so no chemicals in it.

I learned how to make fish nets which can be used for so many
things from hammocks, to carrying nets, to traps for birds and animals
you may need in the wild for food, to containers you can hang food from
 high branches in trees.

One link I found made it so easy and without special tools.

I learned how to make glue from tree resin and ash to seal things and
how to make water proof baskets from tree bark using things from nature.

I learned how to use the little dipper to find my bearings in the woods
if ever I am without a compass.
I learned many ways of starting a fire in the woods to keep warm and how
to make a shelter from the rain that is also soft to lie on.

I learned how to use roots to make string.

I love the idea of using the pop can ring tops (which you push up to open cans)
to put on clothes hanger hooks so that you have an extra place to hang
another hanger on for shirts, which result in space saving.
They can be collected, use very little space and when you need a ring,
they are there to help you.

So much to learn, it makes me want to go out and try living outdoors more.

What a great life to live in such peace with the little critters that inhabit
forests and spend so much time collecting  food.

I learned buffalo are needed because they carry seeds in their fur and transplant
them into different areas. Not good to kill buffalo.

Hides of elk are cleaned of fat and then warm water is put on them and they are folded
away for a few days and when they are opened, the skin is soft without tanning.

How interesting life is and how much is lost as the old ones pass away.

Tell Me A Story

When I was a kid I listened to this song over and over and over.
This was a time when spanking was legal and as can be seen
kids were tough. No psychological damage here.lol
And it made me feel better if my Dad ever spanked me.
In those days no one felt bad cause we all got spanked.lol
Life on my street was very entertaining. All the kids grew up to
 be great people.

Frankie Laine - Tell Me A Story Lyrics

Tell me story, tell me story
Tell me story, remember what you said
You promised me you said you would
You got to give in, so I'll be good
Tell me a story then I'll go to bed

Oh, worry, worry, weary ends my day
Comes the time to go home without my raise in pay
Home by the fire where a man can just relax
Sippers there by the chair, not a worry, not a care
Along comes Junior swinging his little axe

Tell me a story, tell me a story
Tell me a story, remember what you said
Tell me about the birds and bees
How do you make a chicken sneeze?
Tell me a story then I'll go to bed

Came home so late one evening last July
Played a little poker the time had passed me by
Shoes in my hand and my darlin' wife in bed
Up the stairs sayin' a prayer
Then a voice comes through the air

Hi you there, daddy
Remember what you said

Tell me a story, tell me a story
Tell me a story, remember what you said
Tell me how your eye got black
Because the doorway hit you back
Tell me a story then I'll go to bed

Once upon a time I remember long ago
Don't go back in history, your memory's kinda slow
Stop your noisy talkin' until I finish with my tale

Once upon a, upon a what
Upon your back, you'll get a swat
Tell me about the fish you caught
That's was bigger than a whale

Tell me a story, tell me a story
Tell me a story, remember what you said
You promised me, you said you would
You gotta give in, so I'll be good

Here's a tale you'll never forget
(Tap, tap, tap)
Ouch, my tails all red
And now get up to bed
Ha, ha come on daddy, tell me a story, hee, he

Ban Chok Dee Thai Cuisine

Ban Chok Dee Thai Cuisine, in Langley BC was a fun place to go.
It is run by Thai people and the food is to die for.
The service was excellent and the customers were very nice as well
Highly recommended .
Across the street was Douglas Recreation Center which had an
arched kind of covered outdoor theater and
one could watch the performances
from the restaurant.

Drunken Monkey was so tasty
Most of the drinks were like fruit punch and so good.
We had Tum Yum Gooong soup which was full of goodies. Yum Yum!
The place was packed and you needed reservations. Good thing they had a patio.
The patio had ceiling heating fresh air and a much better view.
One could see inside people were thoroughly enjoying themselves.
We also had spicy calamari and panang curry with pork . MMMMM
First place we find that has original Thai recipes.
This beautiful wood carving  had to be photographed.xoxox

August in February Jubilee

This is the first flower of the new year from a pot on
my balcony I am elated! So today I checked out the
bulbs I left indoors and saw they were rooting.
I kept them in the bag because I was afraid that putting
them into pots would freeze the bulbs.
That didn't happen. Instead, the ones I did pot are all sprouting.
Even the rose in the front yard is pushing out leaves.
So today I potted them and if they continue to grow,
I will have flowers for a long time till spring.

Today I also discovered tons of bunnies in my black berry bushes.
They must have stayed there all winter and had more babies.

 So It's a great day.!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

Some may not agree but it is nice to have a day set aside for Love.
It helps us remember that we are spiritual beings.
It matters not if you are married or single or
have someone special in your heart to love.
You are not alone.
There is always someone who needs love and
this is the day for it.
Show yourself through acts of kindness.
Smile and remember
God always loves YOU!

A World Pretending to Care

A World Pretending to Care

The story was about a beautiful angel, who lived
in a beautiful family consisting of a Father, a Mother,
and two younger brothers. She blossomed under Gods'
light without a care in the world.
She believed the world to be good since her small world
was good.
She believed people to be good, since the people
around her were good.
She excelled in school, sang in the choir, helped by doing her chores,
wrote beautiful poetry and her paintings were loved by all who saw them.
She was generous with all her work and gave everything she made away
to people, just to see them smile.

As the years went by, more and more people began to come to her
with their burdens and their desires.
She tried to help them but the more she helped, the more she began to see
that people wanted help but then went back to continue what put them
into dire straights in the first place.

As more and more hands began to grab her, to quench their desires,
only to be rejected, more and more evil words were thrown at her
and at her family for standing out.

Her beautiful world suddenly turned dark . Her voice was no
longer heard over the deafening noise of chants and drums and
deafening screams that was called music.
The faces around her were black, the clothes were black, and
the angel found herself alone and her soul was tormented by
 her environment.

Give Us!! WE WANT! WHAT A COLD BITCH!
 HAHAHAHAHAHA

GIVE US!! YOU OWE US!!! HAHAHAA

The angel lifted up her arms to show her hands. I would.. but see
I have nothing more to give.
I have nothing.
YES! YOU DO!!. they  belched back at her.
We want your soul ............to join us.hahahahaha
Yes... to join us hahahahahaha

My soul?
Oh no. My soul is who I am. I am an angel.
That is something I cannot give, for this would end my life.

Your Life?
You have a life?
You said you have nothing.
You lied angel.

I said I had nothing more to give.
I gave everything away.

YES but you STILL HAVE SOMETHING!
They laughed as they taunted her for being good.
We want your life angel, so we can live too.
As an angel, it is your DUTY to give us what we want since
Your job is to be GOOD.

My Job??? the angel stuttered, surrounded by the black objects
that now became thousands.
She did not see them as people anymore.
They were not human.

The angel fell on her knees and looked up into the sky,
her face covered in tears.
Her arms slowly lifted up to God and she cried out to him.
God! What is my job now? The people are gone.
My life is being stolen!
I cannot give it freely since this soul belongs
to you!

As she begged God to tell her what to do, the skies opened
and a blinding light shone through, forcing every one to cover
their eyes.
When it left, all stood blind, except the angel,
whose arms still were held up to the sky.
She smiled and nodded.

Thank you God.
I know what to do now.
She stood up and went home.

She opened the front door and there stood all the people.
Her Mother and Father and brothers, the choir,
and all the people she shared with.
In the back of the room stood God.
He held out his arms to her
and said
Child. You are home. Here is your life and love,
your heart and soul.
Your face is  glowing and you are the
the envy of the world.

You gave but the world did not
You loved but the world did not.
The world is blind but here,
we all can see.

The angel was soo happy to be surrounded
by the love she grew up in but inside, her spirit
still cried for the blind, the non humans
she left outside her door, who could not hurt her
anymore.

Years Have Told me.....

"Years have told me.. what days didn't know."
 -----------------------------------------------------
A friend sent me this quote and I found it to be
 wise and so true.

In this technical world, people miss out on education.
Education teaches one the ability to think.
More importantly time and experience educates us all.

Many today listen or read and say:
No, there is nothing wrong with that.

They do not see the fine print in between, which discloses
that maybe there might be a lot wrong once you take
 off the fine  packaging.

We find new ideas about what we should eat, what kills us.

Well death kills but when it comes to food,
everything they say is bad for us, was survival food in times of
scarcity. Today, food kills.
Tobacco    Tobacco kills
Bullets      Bullets kill
Behavior. Behavior kills
Drugs       Drugs kill
Lifestyle   Lifestyle kills
Ignorance  Ignorance kills
Lies           Lies kill
Truth         Truth kills

Every word, has a fine line one needs to cross, before
a friend, turns into an enemy.

We find old people, with cures doctors do not know.
We have doctors who do not know how to cure.
We have teachers who do not know how to teach.
We have judges who do not know how to judge.
We have historians, philosophers, mathematicians, physicists
psychiatrists etc... who send you on a tangent, away from truth.

Every one has ideas and as individuals, we are told to choose.
How we make our choices makes all the difference..
New generations do not experience what the old generations did
so for them something dangerous, is seen as innocent and ok.

For all of technologys' progress, life does not move forward
but follows the same pattern of self destruction.
War , hate, power, sex, alienation etc...
We think technology is better so things are different but life plays tricks.
It does not disclose that for every positive, there is a negative and
every time we think something is ok, the fine print says no.

You can't fool Mother Nature as they say, for she always has the last word.
You can't fool God by thinking he does not exist.
You can't fool him in his name ,  to do wrong.

Years have told me what days didn't know.
What I know today, I'll never know again
What I see today, I'll always see.
We stand divided, disinfected and infected.
We live, we fight and we die...
but some escape....
those from yesterday, the learned, who do not seek
but spend a lifetime living in quiet solitude.

Life and Questions

What's more important?

 Words or images
 words or touch
 words or smell
words or sound
words or feelings
words or taste
words or hearing

words or proprioception ie: clap hands with eyes closed.
writing with a pencil using correct pressure
 navigating through narrow space

words or the vestibular which measure gravity, acceleration
 body movements,head position
ie: moving in an elevator
walking on a balance beam
knowing if you are lying down or standing up.

Analyzing everything, helps one conclude that all of the above
makes us the people that we are or makes us the people, we are capable of being
.
Being a rounded person requires using everything at your disposal.
life experiences, education, the 7 senses, math, science, religion, art, music etc....
Everything is important  Importance is found in everything.
Living, is to have access to it all, no matter who you are.

A very endearing movie to watch:

 Words and Pictures

with Clive Owen and Juliette Binoche and Bruce Davison.

Lifes' Tonic

Today I made myself a ginger tonic
It was very good, energizing  and heaty.
I don't recommend it to grumpy people lol
Tonics won't help what ails them.

"Jesus had to deal with a lot of difficult people.
Here are FOUR methods he modeled through his life:
  1. Realize you can't please everybody (John 5:30). Even God can't do that. Some want rain and others want sunshine.
  2. Refuse to play their game (Matt. 22:18).
  3. Learn to say no to unrealistic expectations. Confront them by "telling the truth in love."
  4. Never retaliate (Matt. 5:38-39). It only lowers you to their level.
  5. Pray for them (Matt. 5:44). It will help both of you. Let God handle them."

Looking at the world today, seems no one is happy
Every one has unrealistic expectations
Every one retaliates and as for Prayer, not many seek solace in it.

When I was a child and had a night mare, it always helped me
knowing God was watching over me. My belief in God, covered me with his aura
and  when  evil confronted me, it never saw me and walked on by.
Left me speechless every time and comforted.

I wonder how many soldiers experienced this, when bullets, that should have hit them,
flew by instead . My Grand Father walked on streets being bombed and
never hurried to a bomb shelter.
By the time he would reach one, the bombing would stop.
When we speak of faith, this is what we are talking about.
Through faith, small miracles happen every day.

When you experience something so positive, you want to tell every one.
So I ended up doing just that.
You can't change old people cause they are set in their ways but the young people
are innocent and might want to investigate the words of truth , and common sense,
for themselves. It does no harm and makes them rounded people.
Religion is for people to learn from, to become better people, not to be interpreted
literally so crime and violence continues.
Religion is not for people to be brainwashed by. It should not be an opiate, nor a drug.
In life, a little of everything goes a long way.

Sending every one a blessing.
For the sick - health
For the weary - strength
For the blind - sight
May life be a source of beauty and joy to remember.
May darkness lift off the face of this earth so light may shine in.
May hearts be filled with loves tonic, instead of hate.

Being Koi

These are my beautiful Koi.
It is relaxing to watch them as they live in a world,
oblivious to the Gods around them. lol
We had a lot of fish and they were all very educational to
learn from. So what is special about these?
Well, they made remarkable meals to rascal coons.
Good sushi a la carte.
Even though they had places to hide under rocks, those rascals
had no problem fishing them out.

Koi taste like carp. (Not that I would ever eat my pets.)
They have lots of bones like carp too.
My Mom used to fry carp dipped in flour and then she would
make a great tomato sauce with onions and cover them in a pan and
 bake them.
After everything cools, you put the dish into the fridge and wait
till meal time. MMMM so delicious.

Other times my Mom would fry the carp pieces and then marinate them
in a vinegar mixture with oil and seasonings .
I wish I knew how she did it. You have to eat it within a week, time wise.

Sake Me Good

Now this is a good bottle of Sake.
Dig the price.
Nothing beats a nice hot Sake sitting by a crackling
fireplace, in front of a large window, in a mountain
snow fall. A big, hazy moon in the back ground makes a fine
setting, just peeking out at you.

There is a nice Hostel offering single rooms for unbelievable prices
at Whistler called Hi-Whistler. Bunk beds go for 33 dollars a night.
The place is popular with hikers, snow boarders and skiers who stay till
late at night enjoying the view and fresh air.

http://www.booking.com/hotel/ca/hi-whistler.en-gb.html?aid=339530;label=1483_recmd-dest_name-4_v2-rwYAuQYAzQYB;sid=ac8947a2464b9dd1b0a6fea78f20058c;dcid=1;src=clp;openedLpRecProp=1

Many people drive up into the mountain and park during the day.
They take out the picnic baskets and the folding chairs, a nice warm blanky
and sit enjoying the heat of the sun. Sometimes it gets so hot you can sit and suntan
just like on the beach in the Carribean.
Unbelievable beauty up there.
The camera just does not do it justice.

If you have a chance to experience something like this,
do it.
