Lacy Shawl

I couldn't get anyone to model for me and my mannequin
is out of reach so I am displaying it over a cookie can . lol

This Lacy Shawl I began many times because every time I started it, following the pattern and directions always made it too small. So I had to adjust the pattern to suit my needs and so it became my pattern in a sense lol
I used Patons Lace thread which consists of 10% mohair, 10% wool and 80% acrylique.

It is very nice for evening wear as it keeps the back shoulders and front warm from drafts you may get in air conditioned restaurants and such.

It can be worn with a belt for extra eloquence.
I was debating on whether or not I should put some pearls into it but it looks pretty nice as is.

This project was shear joy to make even if it took more thread than a regular shawl would.

I can't wait for an occasion to wear it.

Oh, yes; this looks exquisite. Well done.

And you're talented, not just to make it, but to adjust the pattern to fit your needs.

I hope you have many occasions to wear your shawl!

Thanks Lisa It goes well over a dark coat or jacket too. I am thinking of making a hat to match.
