Aromatic Design

We visited Abbotsford yesterday.
It is a very diverse place surrounded by farmlands, horses, fish farms. If you want a good trailer
or fly a plane, or construction material... lots of good stuff can be found
here.
As we stopped to take a picture of the jet below, the wind blew such a nice
aroma from this tree. It was over whelming.
Now why one tree and not another?

This plane was on display for pictures.
Can't say Canadians don't make for good pilots.
There is a flying school here and lots of helicopters.
Makes you want to take a course except when you think
it's a long way down from up there.
You can't afford to make a mistake or have engine failure.
As you can see our skies are always one color lol

I couldn't help myself and took a picture of these tiny planes.
I thought they were sooooo cute.
I couldn't imagine myself flying one though
I'd be too scared.

Then I turned around cause this little guy was making such a racket.
He had funny wings. The lower ones were in front and the ones on the roof were in back.
He was having his engine tuned or fixed.
I thought he was even a bit smaller then the tiny ones above it.
I couldn't imagine it fighting wind, rain or storms, being thrown about  under celestial skies.
A plane like this could survive with a parachute lol
So I felt there was hope of survival even with Engine failure.

While exploring, lots was going on in the world.
Obama lost his fight for gun control
He and another senator got poison letters and in Texas a chemical plant
exploded, taking with it blocks of homes surrounding it.
Total devastation.
Today, no one knows how many died in those homes or even in the plant.

People in America are all on full alert as all these things happening at the same time
is not normal.
Iran and Pakistan also suffered an Earthquake
and North Korea is still threatening and Obama said he doesn't think
she has a nuclear weapon. hmmmm
A little bit of news on line to keep track of the times.

The white tree looked like a plane with its' wings spread out and smelled so nice.
Being white and pure I took it as a good sign.
It was in front of a museum at the Abbotsford airport and trade center,

lol Lorna Neither do I.
It's pretty scary to be up there in a tiny machine and no parachute.

But I like para sailing. You can stay up for a long time and make a nice soft landing and be in control most of the time unless something bad happens like your sail tears.
But then you wouldn't be up that high

I've ridden in a tiny aircraft. It was scary, but a lot of fun....especially when we actually landed safely :)

Wah, you'll just have to come to BC and have a look in spring. We have so many here. Especiallif you visit Butchard Gardens on Vancouver Island.

Seem slike a lovely visit, can not help but notice the green hue on your trees. Wow, here daffodils are just about to bloom and we still have frost in the night. I can not wait for the winter to truly end, I guess it will mostly happen over night and a in weeks, the changes will happen over night, by each hour, as nature will try to catch up.;)
As for the state of the world, at times I am terrified to turn on the TV and read the news. I might stop watching it. My husband is off for 4 months soon and I can not take being terrified for his safety and watching the news truly is not helping.:(
Have a great weekend dear friend,
xoxo

Having flown in a helicopter recently the small plane wouldn't be a problem for me. ;)

Zuzana I watch movies because I dislike all this what is going on in the world too but right now it is important to watch because of what is going on both in Canada, the US and Korea. Islamic fanatics are every where, recruiting. They can't refuse orders or face death themselves in this religion. Most of them don't understand this because they haven't been approached.
Your husband has a very hard job as all military people do but lets hope they begin using more robots and keep the soldiers for less dangerous things. I watch the policemen running around with the Boston Bomber thing and I am scared for them. Horrible job when it comes to danger.

Hi A Lady's Life .. love the cherry tree and can smell the scent of the trees wafting around ...

Small planes are flown by people who want to live too! I've flown in plenty of small planes in South Africa, and here too - though not so often ..

Cheers Hilary
