Marc Driscoll

Marc Driscoll is the new Pastor on the hot line today.

I love Pierce Morgan but lately he's been attacking Christian values
Christians do not attack people.
Christians say what they believe in. That's all.

I loved what Marc said.
You either accept Christianity or leave it or change it.

The 10 c0mmandments can't be changed.
If you change a religion, it seizes to be.

I do not like the word bigot.
I think if you are called a bigot, for your beliefs you should take the accuser to court, because people have freedom of religion. Every one is allowed freedom of expression but Christianity is blasphemed and they are the least authoritative organization in the world, giving, expecting nothing in return except maybe....... a thank you.

Jesus died on the cross for.......... bigots.lol He also died for prostitutes, liars, thieves, killers, etc...
because he hoped one day they would understand what they were doing was wrong. In fact he believed they would because his Father would touch them.

If people believing in his word, are bad people, then why is this country so loved?and so HATED?
Why do people run from their own countries, ...... to come here?

It is time people stood up for the beliefs this country was built on.
Man needs to believe in something.

Oh, I know the American Indians have their beef with Christianity.
But false prophets, do not represent the words of the Lord.
False prophets will be found in any religion, inclusive of their own.

All we can do, is admit to the bad, which the last Catholic Pope did, and keep on going to promote good.
Education is the answer to recognize the bad to be strong enough, to say no to it.
If you know enough you can say..... no ...... to the bad, trying to infiltrate good.

I was never a strong believer in anything. I was touched by God at the age of nine and he was good to me. He loved me and protected me. I know he did. I loved him and quietly lived a personal life with him.
Today, for some reason, I have this urge to talk.
Am I a bigot?
I don't think so. I never carried anger or hate in my heart against anyone.
I understood people have their own experiences in life to base their beliefs on.

I always thought there was enough belief but the old people are dying and the new generation does not know God. The torch has passed on and it passed on to us. People like me, who have had it good and know it, and kept silent.

Today, if people like me don't talk, it jumps into something else, replacing God with Dracula lol

Something is wrong here.

I am an older person. If I see wrong, I know I would step in front of a bullet, to save a young person, without caring what he/she believed in.
I believe in a young person having the right to life, as I did.

A young person has the right to his time in the sun to learn, discover, love, hate, and understand God, who will touch him/her, as he did me.
We do not have a choice in the matter.

So I am here, to say in my blog.
I never followed the ten commandments, but I believe in them.

Today,in my older years, I can see beyond the words.
I can see the light. I understand that my Grand mother and parents saw the light before they died.
So I am telling people who want to listen.

If you don't want to listen...... do not hate me.
Do not allow hate to instill into your heart.

All I want is the best for you, no matter who you are or what you believe in
or don't believe in.
It is my belief,
God will touch you in his good time and then you will understand , as I did.
God does not fear evil.
Man fears evil.
Man has the most to lose, following evil.

So ...........

Without becoming a bore,
I wish this world the best there is to offer.
From the deepest part of my heart.
God bless you all. Love you all.

A Lady's Life.

Good morning my sweet friend.
You are not a bore. You speak the truth. I can't keep quiet. He has done so much for me and in my selfish and controlling past, I failed to acknowlege Him. I have to speak of Him and what He's done for me. It's one of the reasons I blog. That and hoping to meet and make beautiful friendships like the one I have with you.

Love you and again, you are NOT a bore!

Love,
China

Religion is a personal thing - that's why I don't discuss it. x

Gattina - all parents want the best for their children. You do as well.
Every parent drives their kids crazy. Either they are too lenient and the child feels not loved or too strict and the child hates it. Or too friendly, or too funny, or too something or other. But in the end we miss them and remember the good things but most of all, we remember they loved us.Then we repeat the same way with our own kids lol
No such thing as a perfect parent. lol

Thank you butterfly I think we are on the same page. But then you see a lot of things every day that could be avoided had the person had the right kind of guidance.:)

Religion is a personal thing Akelamalu - but then so is everything (personal things) and we are forced to listen to them by pressure groups.
They have a right to freedom of speech and they practice it to steer children into things they should not be steered into and no one has a right to stop them.
We speak of personal things but there is nothing personal in life any more. It's all public. lol

Thanks for a very thoughtful post. You're right that we need to speak up for what we believe.

Hmmmm. Bear scratches his head.

"I never followed the ten commandments, but I believe in them." I have no idea of what that would be like in the real world.

I have my own beliefs, which are important to me. I know what I believe, who I trust, and what needs to be put in contemporary context (changed, perhaps). And I'm perfectly happy to talk about those, in the appropriate context.

Interesting but puzzling post. Bear needs to give it more thought.

Rob Bear what I meant was I lived my life without going to church as kids and sports took up most of our time. But we are good people as most families are good families. We do not carry bibles or kiss the floors like the muslims do, but we know the 10 Commandments and we believe in them.
Today it is alarming that you meet young people who have absolutely no idea what/who God is.
I feel it's important for people to know who he is because he is a part of who we are and where we came from. If you study history archeology astronomy etc.. you can't get away from studying God.
Every time you talk about him though you are called a bigot.
So it's not ok to talk about your beliefs but others beliefs have to enter our schools and teach our children what we do not want taught. So if believers in God are bigots then what do we call the liberationists who say everything is ok? Telling people everything is
ok leads to tribalism and mob rule. It's not that easy.lol
Mark Driscoll is a pastor who was interviewed on the Pierce show and he kept asking him if he was a bigot because of his belief.
He put Marc on the defensive and he answered there are three choices.Either you believe, don' t believe or change it.
Well I am fine with the first two but the third is wrong. The 10 Commandments can't be taken out of Christianity. If it is, the religion is no more.
