Traveller of Ways

A traveler of ways
he walked across the mountains and the plains
He slept among the stars and moon
howling to the wind when it blows.

The buffalo shared his ways
They knew the roads as well as he
They roamed where ever there was hay
Green grasses full, by water ways.

He was a traveler of ways
He learned survival from the land.
He tasted soil and dug for roots and
Absorbed the heat from earths' hot crust

He fished the ponds and ocean shores
For he was free to live and learn
A creature, like most men you see
Not good nor bad just here to be

Tomorrow is another day
To live to learn or die
The traveler of ways
Does not judge the air of time.
He leaves behind a legacy
The bones of what is yet to be.
A Lady's Life.

Nice poeme ! and the picture of the wolfs is beautiful.
I still don't know if you live in Canada or the States ? I think it is Canada as you mentioned BC on my blog. Usually you weather is colder than ours, it's really very unusual for Belgium and we are not equipped for such cold weather. Lots of people don't have enough heating ! Fortunately there are enough beds for the homeless. Our new States Secretary (a women of course) promised enough bed and kept her promise ! First time that a politician did what he promised. Ever since I love this lady !
Don't answer me here, I won't come back. I am sorry but I have no time to go to one blog twice.

gattina - BC is behind mountains
close to the ocean so we have mild weather here except up north of course.
Thats terrible about there not being enough heat.

Happy Sunday to you, I am finally finding some time to visit everyone.;)
Love this poem. I grew up with Jacks London's stories and I find wolfs very enigmatic animals. Despite poplar beliefs, wolfs rarely(never) attack humans.

Jack London was indeed an interesting man . I too read White Fang and Call of the Wild. I love such stories.I had a wolf in my home and he was on his best behavior. Truly a beautiful HUGE animal.
You would not want to mess with him if he turned on you though. When he found his owners he was such a darling What a reunion.!!!:)

We had a dog which was half husky, half wolf. He was magnificent. And so gentle. He didn't wag his tail like a normal dog. Instead, he would wave it back and forth a bit. His howl could raise the hair on the back of your neck. Eerie! Loved this poem!
