To My Husband

This morning I found and was looking through, a small book of poems and
A check fell out of it.
It was made out to me from my husband in 1976 for 1,000,000 dollars
Paid in kisses.
So being the sentimental fool that I am, I am dedicating today to my best
One and only Love of my Life.
A Poem by Anne Bradstreet

If ever two were one, then surely we.
If ever man were lov’d by wife, then thee
If ever wife was happy in a man,
Compare with me, ye women, if you can.
I prize thy love more than whole mines of gold,
Of all the riches that the East doth hold.
My love is such that rivers cannot quench,
Nor ought but love from thee give recompense.
Thy love is such I can no way repay,
The heavens reward thee manifold I pray.
Then while we live, in love let’s so persevere,
That when we live no more, we live forever.

Today 1,000,000 dollars worth of kisses
I send to you my dearest. :)

It is a nice poem. And it is nice to see that after all these years there is still a profound love. And are you riding on the back of his motorbike?

That is what my wife did. A long time ago. Many things happened since then. I never wrote her a check to be paid in kisses. But about a month ago I told her on that phone that my love for her is reaching from Fairbanks, Alaska to Sydney, Australia. Via Europe. 35 years ago, I simply told her "I love you".

Well Peter it seems just like yesterday. You don't see time go by.
We always had two cars and two bikes.
He would escort me home and then I'd say I'll escort you home and then he'd escort me home and I'd escort him home and by the time we finished escorting each other it was time to get up and go to school. lol
Those were good days lol

As I am a down to earth girl I wonder how we could go shopping in a supermarket with such a dress on ??

Gattina we wear romantic clothes at home and jeans/shorts to go shopping lol but I loved the picture from the romantic era.I wish I could get a feather quill from somewhere.
Those must be fun to write with and make people try harder to have nice handwriting.
