Here's a Toast to the World.

A full life, is when on your death bed, you can light up a good cigar, hold a glass of good brandy
and toast the world,
from  a new Tea Doily.

The Brits seem to still enjoy a nice cup of tea on a table setting with doilies.

My son seems to think doilies are coasters and I tell him, much like a rose,
they can be used in many ways as pieces of decor.

They are put on dressers, on plates, in bowls, on tables prepared for afternoon tea,
Coffee tables, in picture frames around vases to further beautify the flowers.
They are used to wrap that special poem or book to give as a gift to a special person.
They are used on lamps, attached to clothing, Some people cover backs of living room
couches with them, giving the room a dainty look.
If you have a plain T shirt, a doily attached to it, can turn it into a designer look.
You can make them into hearts or angels and used on Christmas Trees. They look wonderful on white curtains and are wonderful gifts to give for weddings and put on the tables around knives and forks.
Fridge handles can be decorated using a doily, Bird cages.
If you put a ribbon through it it can become a candy holder
I look at the above doily and think, imagine sewing a purse out of it.
I have a pillow I can cover with it too.
Wrap it around the wrist of a sweater and you have beautiful dainty hands to look at.
They can become head scarves too and these are just a few examples.

Many people lost the use of this art but good things never really go out of style and these doilies
will make a come back sooner or later as Victorian things always do.

We had a great day yesterday but seem to wake up every morning to  clouds.
Seems the sun is hiding again.

It usually brightens up as the day goes on

The shopping centers are full and it is sooooo HOT!!!! outside.
Great to be home enjoying cool weather lol

Have a Happy Sunday!!

Butterfly you work hard so look for bigger and better which is what you deserve.

I like pretty things.
When you see a woman dressed pretty like a woman should be, it feels good. Women are the best creatures in the world, so why should they not be seen that way and respected as well?
