Signs.

Caution Deep Water.
Most of us interpret this as Danger.
But there are some of us who can't read or understand what they are reading.
Some of us see a thrill there to experience.
Some won't believe the sign.
Some feel they are powerful enough and great swimmers to not be bothered with the sign.
Some think not to worry because the life guard will save them.
Others think Woah! Let's spray paint it.
lol
Some are drunk or high and will sit and laugh at the sign.
Heaven help them when they plunge in and swim out into the depths surrounded  by undercurrents and big fish.
After all, it's just a sign and it never changes.
What are they going to do if we don't obey the sign, eh?

The thing here is
What changes, are the people reading the sign.
When parents call in their children because of the sign,
the children rebel.
Crazy parents, they say
Over the hill.
Stupid.

When one of them dies, the warning is still not understood.
More go in and take risks with their lives.

We, in free countries, see this as the right of the individual to decide for himself what he wants to do.

We can also see this warning in terms of a veil.
The warning is not a lie. It speaks of danger.
But people do not believe or trust in the sign or veil
They do not understand the consequences
and when bad things happen, they don't even cry.
They say it was a choice made and no ones fault.

This is called living in a free country.
You can study the sign, to see under the veil, the hidden meanings
or you can choose to ignore it.
Bungy jumping is the same.
Some take the risk the rope won't break and others think
The rope might break so I won't risk it.
We are free to decide for ourselves.
If I was to think what kind of country I was to live in,
I'd like to live in a country where people are taught at school,
to be able to make good judgement decisions.
Being able to make good judgement decisions is different than being told
what to do.
The nature of man is to test the waters, discover things.
This is how we progress and learn.
When a country or religion stops progress and learning,
it is not a good thing.
It is because Adam and Eve had thoughts and did not obey the law,
that they were sent to a place where they did not have to.

So what happens when we are brought up in a country where people are taught not to make good judgement decisions and just follow orders?
What if one puts ones' toe into the water and people take a stick to your head, beat you good and stick you in jail with no food water or a toilet?
People are no different from animals. You beat a horse, he will obey but he will not love you.
He will run first chance he gets for freedom.

Acts of terror...to control.. does this mean my country was moving forward or stagnating
because no one is allowed to see if the sign is true?
Maybe it's old and the water is not deep?
Maybe someone put it up as a joke.
This is the dilemma we are facing today in world politics.
People come together and they interpret the sign in their own way.

Some know how to think and making an effort to think while others fear or refuse to think.

Some risk everything and others pull in the reins and say hold on there.
Don't jump till you see what's on the other side.
Some know what's on the other side and try to stop another from killing himself because of his foolishness.

Saying no can be seen as a hate crime as much as saying yes can be viewed as a hate crime.
depending on where you come from
There is no bad person here.
It's just that we are not brought up the same way.
Our society is beginning to understand this.
 However,
In order to understand the sign
We have to be on the same page and united.
Otherwise the laws don't work.
Constitutions don't work and
God help
multicultural countries where people run to for asylum and
bring their own signs from home.,

If a sign is effective but not good for them in their own country ,
why should it be in another established country, with its' own established signs?
What is good for one country doesn't mean its good for another.
Our water does not contain crocodiles as some countries do and so following the sign might not be that important.
The strength of a country, lies in the strength of it's people and the judgement decisions they make.
If the people are weak then doors are open for the united to walk in and take over.
When you have a good place to live, it pays to be diligent and stay on top of things.
It pays to keep the reins pulled in and to tread soft but steady.

Some old cultures already learned this with the signs they bring to our countries
. lol
Have a good one.
:)

Well you know the signs are put up for a reason! I guess there are some who just like to take chances. Being afraid of deep water, it sure won't be me! Nice post.
Love Di ♥

It's so true that some of the simplest statements can be taken a number of ways. It's always interesting when members of a diverse group--men, women, jocks,nerds--parse words for meaning. Throw a lawyer in and forget about it!

Diana - We had some fun with this with my cousin who visited from Britain. They use the phrase, "jump on the coach".(coach meaning bus) Here people would think that they want them to jump on the coach (soccer, football, etc..coach)
So we began to compare notes between the language used here and the phrases used in London We had a lot of fun. lol

You are an incredible philosopher - you can build an incredibly substantial post and theory only on a single sign, that most of us would notice but quickly forget.;) I am in awe.;)
Where exactly is this sign placed, it seems like it is on a lamp post, but next to a harbour?
Have a great weekend,
xoxo

Zuzana - I believe it was at Harrison Lake.
It is incredible to me that something as simple as a sign which is straight forward, could mean something different to every person.Imagine the rest of life? When we talk to each other, we think we understand words ie. the color white.
Some have a simple interpretation and to others white is the difference between life and death.
Then we wonder why we don't get along lol
