Walmart in China

Now why is this not surprising, to find exotic food, at a Walmart in China?
I havent checked it with snopes.
It seems they also have a sting ray and a shark as well.
but is it not a fact, they only eat the fins of the shark?

I sit back and ask myself, would I eat this if I had a chance to ?
Would I eat insects, dog meat, cats and horse?
Well, we eat cow, goat and lamb.
I think, if I didn't have to kill it, I would try it once if it were served me,
but it wouldn't be my  preferred type of food.
In fact, the more I think about it, I think
going into the green house business is what I'd be in to.
Nothing like the fresh smell of tomato.

I wonder how much it would cost to run a green house in
winter? I know we get a lot of wind during this time of year, if not
solar energy from the sun.
Taking water from a fish tank is great for vegetation growth.
I used this water for my flowers and they bloomed like crazy.
So growing fish in a green house pool and then using the water
for plants, replacing it with clean, cold water, is great for both fish and a green house.
I know it is cheap and fun, for the fish farms to get 10,000 trout fry in a tank ,
which they raise in long trough like containers.
Once they grow a bit, they push them out into a deeper trough and then a deeper one,
until they can push them into a pond. Then people come and fish them.
There is nothing like taking your kids fishing and seeing them
rejoice in catching a fish, which they do, over and over again.

They require no license and you pay for the fish by the pound.
The fish farmer feeds them grain, like what we would eat at the table
and the fish become so friendly when they hear him whistling.
They know it's chow time.

I am constantly amazed when I look at these solar panels and
how they absorb energy, even in cloudy weather.
Montreal has cold weather and the Botanical Gardens doesn't seem to be
any worse for wear, so I think it's feasable to run a back yard
green house.
Just writing about it gives me a good feeling inside.

Fish all year sounds dandy to this Bear.

Meanwhile, we've had an ice and snow storm, so I'm "laying low." So low, in fact, I might start hibernating.

Rob Bear -Sounds like it is terribly cold out your way.
Here it's always damp and wet.

It really wouldn't surprise me to learn that Walmart had some of these specialty items in their Chinese stores. I think most companies make adjustments when they are in other countries.

Your greenhouse-fish farm idea sounds like a good one.

More and more people here are getting solar panels. They're very expensive.
