When it comes to the BC Pipeline from Alberta, this is what we have to examine.
Seismic Hazards on our Western Coast.
We are not as safe as we think we are as the coast line shows us.
It is not only the East Coast that's at risk with hurricanes, earthquakes and floods.
What is not taken into consideration where weather is concerned ,
is that the
magnetic field has deviated 15 degrees from the North pole and
this should result in changes
in the ocean currents, the fact that we had fish disappearing from our coasts, and wind , not to mention
the ice melting.
When fish disappear, it's the same as the skies being devoid of birds.
Something is going on somewhere and we should pay attention.
Volcanoes result in fertile land but oil spillage results in land that loses value.
Even cleaned, it will always be listed as contaminated land.
This western coast line, is something no one on earth can contain if something happens and
we are overdue for the big one.
The province also wanted to put a nuclear power plant on a BC island (TEXADA?)where legend has it,
will go back down into the ocean, leaving many to die, from a melt down, like in Japan.
Texada was used for copper mining and also, during US prohibition times, sent hooch to the US.lol
BC is only 6 hours away from a Washington State Nuclear Power plant close to the city of Hanford.
A melt down would surely affect many Canadians here across the border.
Do we want to risk health, life and land for short term gain?
Is it worth the risk?
It is foretold that each generation of people will get weaker and weaker and everything we do, from things like playing with electricity and magnetism, nuclear power plants, and even things like mammograms
will affect how our people will be able to reproduce in the future.
How is it today, so many women find it hard to get pregnant when women in Africa
are very fertile and produce so many children charities live off, to feed?
Time to clean up our act and learn how to live off of ocean currents, wind and solar power
so life can be beautiful and enjoyable to behold.

This is an eye-opener. The weather these days teaches the big lesson: we are vulnerable!
Sandy - truth is very difficult to find but our planet has been doing very weird things lately.No one knows why. No one knows what is going on under the ocean floor which is very deep.No one knows what is going on in the universe.
Lets hope we survive 2013 lol
Hi A Lady's Life - I'd have thought the dangers were far greater on the west coast from tectonic movement - geological evidence and history tell us that. The magnetic change I'd heard about .. but am not sure exactly what it effects as such ..

I don't believe all the extreme weather we are experiencing lately has purely scientific reasons. A book I have read recently suggest otherwise and makes more sense to me. If you are interested I have written a review of the book on my blog.

I always talk about morals ethics and values as well as things called etiquette but people refuse to listen to this as it pertains to religion.
But it forces people to think and do the right things and not because of laws. God's laws are to be obeyed or disobeyed on an individual basis because we are all on different planes of understanding we will never be equal and god and bad will then continue to fight.
For example: The Bible says things like prostitution ,taking drugs and divorce are bad.They force mankind to take on responsibility for their actions.
But people say we have rights to be prostitutes, druggies , alcoholics, to divorce, lie and corrupt.All our social problems are the result of people misbehaving and forming peer groups to force others to misbehave.So democratically we have to say ok to laws ok things but inside ones soul we know it is all wrong. God deals with the soul because you can run from everything except yourself.Deep inside every one knows what right and wrong is and what good and bad is. Every one.Who is to say that mans' nuclear explosions under the ocean, no one knows about, are not producing all this chaos? or what we are doing in the air in war.For this reason I say read the 10 commandments because therein is all the truth one needs to live well.People may like it or hate it, but there you go.
Zuzana - when we see 25 foot waves in Lake Michigan it is over whelming.
In the ocean we can easily expect 50 foot waves or larger.
I remember one time I was in a boat with a small motor in our Richelieu River. It's a river I know so well since I felt like a river nymph in those days lol But the waves became so high I thought I would capsize.
It scared me half to death and I was happy to finally reach shore.
No engine is stronger than the power these waves have.In the end they humble you to pray to God or extreme luck to save you.lol
Hilary - The north pole stays the same but the magnetic field affects the compass, how planes fly, etc...
This year we expect the planets to align affecting the suns' solar flares which are supposed to fly to our planet and we may be affected by it if our magnetic field is not strong enough to deflect them.
