Happy Chinese New Year!!

Every one is celebrating 2012, the Year of the Dragon

Feng Shui experts believe 2012 is the Year of the Black Dragon (or the Water Dragon or the Black Water Dragon). In any case, this year will be one of transformation and improvement.

As is custom the streets are full of orange trees and tables are full of
good food shared between family and friends.

The children are ready for their red packets

Gong Xi Fa Cai!!!!

to all my Chinese friends.:)

Red is my favorite (favourite?) color (colour?). I think I like the extra letter version better - much more class. More French like.

In any event, I always enjoy stopping by and reading your thoughts. Always most interesting.

Very interesting about the farm you visited as a child (in the past from yesterday). I could see everything very clearly from your narrative.

Yes, Happy New Year to our Chinese friends. I believe I was born in the year of the horse. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. I like horses so I guess it is okay.

Take care.

Russell- The horse is a good sign. You must be a lot of fun to be around.:)
I also like red but my Mother never did so I wonder why she would put that color on me ? I guess I wasn't meant to be trampled on that day.lol
I guess we were taught to write favourite and colour this way, and you are right, it does have a French flavor to it. lol

I'm afraid I am just putting things down as I remember them. I was small so I never knew where I was taken, just that I was there.

Eve was fantastic. My neighbourhood started playing fireworks since 10pm. Plenty of great display..even now, when I'm writing this, our opposite neighbour had lion dance performance.

Have a great year ahead. Gong Xi Fa Cai!(meaning - Wishing you to be prosperous - in the coming year)
