This is another easy project to do in an evening .
I find making crochet baskets to be quite handy since they can be all sizes for bread, fruit, peanuts, chips etc....
They look good on a table , are washable and fold so you can put them away till you need them as part of your table accessories.
I made this one big but if you want smaller ones then you can make more than one in one evening. This one still needs a few ribbons to weave around it for decoration.
It's a nice way to watch TV at night while being creative.
They make nice gifts too.
Have a great day!

I am crocheting a baby afghan for my Great-granddaughter, Brooke, she will be born in January, January 12th, 2012, to be exact, if she doesn't come before that date. Her mom has to have C-sections to give birth, therefore the date of birth is always picked ahead of time. She will be a sister to Evan and Mady, the two young ones in the picture of A Boy And His Dog, on my Quotes and Things blog.
I like the idea of the crocheted basket. Do you have directions or do you just do it yourself? It would be cute to crochet a basket to match the afghan.

I've never heard of a crocheted bread basket before, but I must admit that it looks pretty neat.
George Crocheting the baskets is better than the wood woven one because it folds away and washes. You can take it anywhere and it doesn't take much space. If you want to make a Christmas or Easter basket, its better to use a crochet one which people will keep and reuse.
