jack layton

Today along with the rain we are at half mast in our nations capital.
NDP ,Jack Layton, leader of the opposition, passed away from a long fight with cancer.

He is well known for his fighting spirit, standing against smoking, fighting to end aids,
fighting to help seniors, fighting for good healthcare and for justice.
He still had much he wanted to do. He was known as the but man.
People would say.....we want this and that etc...... but.....Jack said no. lol

He was always smiling ,spent lots of time with people he cared for and was known to come out with a tune or two.

He was a respected Canadian politician by all his colleagues, even if they did not agree on all the issues he stood for.

His presence will be sadly missed in parliament as he was deeply dug in.

We thank him for all his efforts and commitment to our country and send deep condolences to his family from

A Lady's Life

May God greet him and keep him and love him
He was a friend to all who met him.

Rest in Peace Jack

Hi Lady!
Requiescat in pace!

The present post at Blogtrotter Two shows two wonders in Corsica: the views from Le Goeland Hotel room 15 and the Bocche di Bonifacio! Enjoy and have a wonderful week ahead!

What a nice tribute. It's nice to learn of a politician who could be respected by people on different sides of an issue.

george - he is a politician who also likes to spend money we don't have lol
the system is broken and only the harper government is doing or trying to fix it but not with much help cause there is always someone complaining.
This jack layton comes from old money and yet lived in public housing with his politician wife. They both made very good salaries. So I personally never voted for him.
He doesn't know what suffering is.
But otherwise he was a nice guy.
In quebec right now NDP youngsters were elected who have no knowledge of politics and he wrote that his party is well equipped to fight for their NDP causes. I don't think so lol
He died at the wrong time when the party needed a good leader. He was it.
