This is one of the things kids will see lit up on Halloween Night
Walmart had a moving black cat I found interesting.
Some people still decorate their yard.
I think I would too if I had kids on my street but it's pretty dead.
For the last three years not one person came to my door.
It's a head ache to go up and down the hill.
In any event it doesn't seem fitting to celebrate when so many people are in dire straights.
The US is in a mess and people in Canada are also hungry and the need for food banks
has risen to an alarming rate.
They do a wonderful job here in BC filling up boxes.
It's mostly old people and Mothers with kids who show up to collect.
I prefer this sort of group than the charities that collect millions and spend it on advertising rather than give this money to the people.
So much has been given to Haiti and people are still living on the streets.
Criminal really.

That's quite a decoration! We're glad to have gotten through the storm so we can celebrate this year. Kids love it, and it's a feast for their imagination. I think we need to celebrate kids, imagination, and kindness even in hard times.
Yes you are right Sandy. You are only a kid once.
No Halloween in my town this year, don't know why, but it's All Saint's day tomorrow and we have a day off ! The use in Belgium is that everybody goes to the cimetary to put flowers on the graves and clean them, because the whole year long nobody things about that ! Very hypocritical !
I used to put flowers on my Mothers grave but they disappear the next day.
It's a bummer.
But the flowers people put on places where people were killed throughout the city and country, always stay and no one touches them.
It kinda makes me angry to see this cause we have to buy the plot and then cannot grieve properly and show proper respect in the grave yards while other people can do it all over the city and we have to look at their grief and forced to ignore ours.
