Do we know what sneaks within
and comes to trick or treat?
Is it a child or man or beast
that comes knocking on your door.
Is it looking for an apple or a chocolate bar
Or maybe you might have within
a nice fruit roll or bale of hay.
Do we know what sneaks within
Is it man or beast
Is it friendly
Is it nice
A risk one takes
Opening the door on
Halloween.

Thanks for the neat poem. I'm not sure what came in, but it sure got the attention of the black cat!
hahaha sure did George hahahaha
I really liked this poem.
The cat seems more excited than scared. The closer to Halloween, the more black cats on the street!
Thanks Olga lol
I guess they know something is comin.
lol
Hmmm. Never thought of Halloween quite like that before . . . just who are you opening the door to?
diane tune in to the next blogs lol
Diane - Unless you pee in your pants from fright, my halloween is not a success.lol
We've had halloween haunted houses we made that absolutely scared the living day lights out of people Even adults. who went out on the street and told other people they had to come to this one.
Nothing dangerous but people's imaginations are super on this night of all nights.
Liked the poem. I love Halloween.
Secret Mom thoughts - thanks
So do I lol
Unfortunately I live on a very quiet street now and no one comes here.
If I give out on candy I am lucky.
Other streets are packed with kids. They remind me of the good ol days when I also had so much fun.
What a fun one. This is my favorite holiday, and I enjoyed this post very much.
Love it! Fabulous! What a fun idea. Simply, elegantly scare the pants off people! I've always wished we could be the 'scary house', but somehow, I just come off as funny. Sigh. I want to go to your house for Halloween! Hmmm . . . or maybe not . . .
Well it takes a few people to pull it off. My son alone walking like a zombie in front of a dark house puts the scare in any one cause you don't know if he belongs there? lol
