Natural Fencing

I really like the look of this fencing. People have very nice ideas.

I live in a place where I have tons of branches that fall into the yard and tons to trim.
I have 4 bushes with tree trunks that can be used to slip in between cement blocks to make a fence and branches to make arches for roses and vines to climb.

My son asks me why I am collecting branches and I say to recycle them. Why buy when you already have in your own yard.?

My neighbors bring in chippers and chip the wood and then the workers cart it away. I look and think to myself this wood belongs on this land.
It needs to stay and replenish the land and yet people collect bags and bags of leaves and grass and throw everything away thus depleting their property of good natural resources it needs.

Well I decided to use my things . Thick bush trunks could make stools and benches to sit on with just a few nails. and the thinner pieces I can use on my trelissis or make some other kind of decoration. Then all it needs is some varnish spray paint and you got yourself a homemade yard piece you can say you made.
Grass and leaves I leave for the soil as well They dry and then once mixed into soil help with the nutrients plants need as well as keep moisture so you don't have to water as much. I thought this year to buy the cement blocks with the two holes and set them up side by side and then cover them with sand and rocks. This would save me from cutting grass, watering
and worrying about the black berry plants which I can't kill and seem to be spreading everywhere.
and except for the beautiful ground cover plants I began in pots which spread out over the years, I will save myself a lot of work and deal with just the things I want in planters.
With the bog fire we had a few years back, that apparently can go under highways, this also makes the use of bricks more appealing.

I also use a lot of arm and hammer baking soda to keep away insects. Slugs especially don't like it.
The idea of an English Garden has always appealed to me. These gardens blend into the environment and it make it so lovely and natural to walk in.
My yard is perfect for one.

I think its time people stopped with the golf green grasses and did something else which makes for a safer cleaner environment.
I mean already everyone complains about gas lawn mowers and lack of rain or too much rain and earthquakes and volcanoes and ozone.
We are killing our oceans and our fish. There are other ways to make and save money.

Those sound like great ideas. You should post pics of the results.
