UN Treaties and Our Personal World.

This was not my idea of what the UN should be.I thought they were supposed to bring the world up, not down.
Are they going too far?

Take for instance Global warming. We do not know if it is due to our behavior or celestial behavior or the Earth's natural cooling or the Suns' natural cooling, and yet decisions are being made for us raising costs of living.

This price gouging attack on societies, does not stop the oil from being sold, or the rich from getting obscenely rich doing things to continue to pollute the earth. They continue to make money and live a good life no matter which country they live in
Their products still sell and the public is punished instead of the rich and companies doing the selling. Look what they are doing in the arctic?
They don't care about global warming. They care about money.
The UN should stop them but it doesn't.

The UN is there to bring nations up. It is not there to make a judgment decision, that if you are a have country, you should be put down to be on an equal level to a have not country. On the other hand, it is up to the people to speak up and if they don't, then this means they are happy with what they have or rather what they are losing and don't have.
Someone who has nothing, doesn't miss not having something and finds being intruded upon to create something for him, rather arrogant and threatening as for example the few tribal societies left in some countries, who love being who they are in the forests they live in.
They have things we don't and will never understand or appreciate, for what it is.
The Muslim countries are the same. They are used to their dust basins and oil. They don't like our life style and those who do, escape. lol

Instead of keeping money in our own pockets, we are being charged and taxed and give money to governments, who then put it into the salaries and pensions of bureaucrats or into someone's expense account.
It doesn't go to subsidize the gas prices we need to live our normal lives. It doesn;t go into health care or into education for our children. It magically disappears.

We should plant more trees and force the UN to do the job it was put together to do or leave it.
We do not need the UN to destroy the Arctic, or to keeping the masses down, feeling bad about the planet, when the leaders of countries don't seem to care at all.
This includes Russia, China and Europe.

PRICE OF GAS AROUND THE WORLD

Prices are quoted in US dollars per gallon for regular unleaded as of March 2011

Oslo, Norway $6.82

Hong Kong$6.25

Brussels, Belgium $6.16

London, UK $5.96

Rome, Italy $5.80
CANADA $5.36

Tokyo, Japan $5.25

Sao Paul o , Brazil $4.42

New Delhi, India $3.71

Sidney, Australia $3.42

Johannesburg , South Africa $3.39

Mexico City$2.22

Buenos Aires, Argentina $2.09
... YOU'RE GONNA LOVE THIS ....

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia $0.09

Kuwait $0.08

Caracas, Venezuela $0.12

Gee, if only the U.S. and Canada were an oil producing nation.....

Hey, wait a minute!!! We are! What the hell happened!!

The oil companies have their reasons they say but they don't because they spend so much money on other things. If they stopped using oil money for other things and kept it in the oil business, then the prices would come down.

Thanks for another thought-provoking post. I think there are entirely too many organizations in the world that work toward tearing down rather than building up.
As far as gas prices are concerned, I'm always amazed at politicians that say more drilling wouldn't help because it would take years for the gas to reach us, but they will spend billions on 'alternatives' that will take years before they're available.
Go figure!

George - lol
Well we need to make our own ethanol by fermenting fruit and juices and corn.
I think if every one began to make moon shine to run our cars with, we'd be better off. lol

I agree with you to leave these people live their lives. The word "freedom" doesn't work for everybody, how can you set somebody free who can't even read or write ? It's like opening a kindergarten and tell the children now you behave like adults ! But which adults !
Gas prices become a scandal ! you see Belgium is almost on the top in Europe and we soon go into the Guiness book of records because it's now 1 year that we are without government and honnestly I don't see any difference ! That's why people don't go on the streets.
My cats describe the problem better http://gattinamycats.blogspot.com/2011/05/what-is-your-mothertongue.html

I have a little more faith in the UN than I do in Ron Paul. We need to get over this oil addiction and respect our planet

gattina - I agree too . Each country needs to develop in its own time.
However when we give the vote to illiterate people who do not understand the new country they live in, I have to question the logic here.People brought up radically different from our own societies have the vote and the numbers to destroy the good and turn gardens into deserts.

Sandy I agree but he seems to be saying good things. Right now there is a oil rush happening in our arctic. Russia put her flag under the north pole. And Canada is trying to tell countries not to trespass into our northern territories.
We like to keep it prestine. Russia already destroyed all her lakes rivers and seas. They are all polluted. Now the rush is coming here to our north and the UN does nothing. Its never a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket. Otherwise the right to say no, is lost.Regular people have more to lose than rich people because the Rich can just go to Dubai and send drones to shut every one up. lol
In the meantime people have no jobs because jobs left to countries less concerned with pollution.

Trotter - one should never give up ones independence.
Governments are impersonal.
When people depend on a check from the government and then one day it stops, and there is no other source of income, this can become a problem.
I am for less taxation and using less oil.
Its like saying use your calculator and forget about learning the method to get an answer.
Its just not a good way to live depending on government for all your decision making.
Man needs to keep his mind active, sharp and life interesting.
Man needs to keep his independence and individuality.
