The heart is a powerful muscle and controls life as well as love The mind is also powerful and controls life as well as love Working together against you, it is hard to beat the Two and so the poem .....And I Can't Win written so long ago, when life was a drama. lol
-----------------------------
If ere by chance I glance Upon your face. I see a silent smile Pursue your lips And it seems distant. I hold out my hand To reach your grasp, To have it pressed against your Burning heart and kissed, The way you always do, when you are sad, With head bent low. Your eyes, deep and dark and wild Stare out into the darkness Enfolding us. They stare and yet see nothing As if blind. Your life revolves around your mind, In capsulated by a thick barred cage From which there is no escape. You can't forget............... And I can't win. A Lady's Life
--------------------------
A Love Story
I shall seek and find you.
I shall take you to bed and control you.
I will make you ache, shake and sweat until you grunt and groan.
I will make you beg for mercy.
I will exhaust you to the point that you will be relieved when I leave you.
And you will be weak for days.
All my love,

The policeman had the bar under surveillance a few minutes before closing time, so he could see who comes out drunk.
The first one out the door at 2:00 o'clock weaved down the sidewalk, then fell on the curb. Sluggishly got up, then tried his keys in five cars before finding his own car.
Once inside his car, he fumbled with his keys for 2 or 3 minutes.
Meanwhile, all the club patrons had gotten into their cars and driven away, leaving this one fellow quite alone in the parking lot.
Finally, he got his car started and began to very slowly drive away.
Immediately, the police car was behind him with lights flashing.
The policeman asked the man to take a breathalyser test, to which he readily agreed.
When the reading was 0.0%, the policeman said, "How can this be?"
To which the man replied, "Because tonight, I'm the designated decoy." ----------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------- There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. -- Albert Einstein ---------------------------------------------------- People are speculating now that we do have something to do with the UFO's which have been seen throughout time especially before or during disasters like tsunamis and volcano eruptions
One such UFO was seen during the Iceland eruption. Others were seens days before the eruptions in Alaska etc... Some ask are they here to help or to cause disasters killing over 200,000 people in one shot . They said it was an easy way of getting rid of the unacceptable and the weak making more room for an advanced society, built genetically better than what they had before.
The Bible, they said, states man was created in Gods' image and so, as we do now with genetic manipulation, maybe we were created as well before for no one knows how it is man came to be, to this very day. They say it cannot be, that from cave dwelling, man suddenly jumped to building pyramids and that Leonardo da Vinci (and others like him), had such visions of submarines and arms we use to day, he drew on paper way back in his time when such things were inconceivable. Someone put those ideas into his head.
Maybe they got tired of man and wiped out most, with Noah, to leave 3000 throughout the world to begin again and maybe they are getting ready to do this again as the Mayan Calendar predicted in Dec. 2012 to make room for a more perfect man. Some say man is already part alien and part human.
Throughout time, pictures of aliens and ships and battles have been drawn on cave walls suggesting that there might be a battle going on between good and bad angels. and this is why God is supposed to come and once and for all end this battle so peace can reign.
I'd say we are in for some interesting times ahead but I am not so sure I want to see it. I so I pray for the future generations.
My son said, you should not complain about kids and violence because it was your generation which did this. Your generation does dope, and promotes sex, and violence on TV. etc..
We promote freedom over above and beyond what is acceptable behavior and the kids are affected because we trample all over their world with our lobby and pressure groups ignoring the fact that they are entitled to a kids world. Its their human right.
Pretty soon it will be a human right freedom even to kill, because laws will not work anymore. As it is, they do not work. Laws are good only in so far as people want to and understand, that they are good for them and have good will to obey.
Today we punish our kids at home for things and then they see a person robs or vandalizes a store, then gets a lawyer to justify his reason to do so and gets off.
These are bad lessons for kids to learn. These are lessons teaching kids they do not have to obey because the law is not on their side. So many good families lose their kids to schools, pressure groups, friends, lobbyists and tv's... all different and immoral ideas and way of life etc... people cannot defend their kids from.
No matter how much we try, there is someone who rocks the boat and destroys good things people worked hard to obtain, like freedom.
Every one seems to forget, that to have freedom is a privilege, an earned thing, not a guaranteed thing. To have freedom, requires a good, educated mind, devoid of brain cell destruction. Freedom also has to work in tune with laws, every one agrees with because they understand that this is the right thing to do.
I was expressing my views as to why, his otherwise very nice school friend, my son grew up with, went and killed a nice girl he didn't know, for no reason. What suddenly triggered this violence from him?
Now, although he pleaded guilty to First degree Murder, teachers will be asked to go to court to testify, I would assume on his behalf. Out of all the rowdy boys from High School, he was the least expected to commit such a crime. He never did anything bad and seemed to blend into the walls.
And of course I do not want to even touch upon how the other side feels except to say that all the grief you felt for the girls' family, balances out, when you see the behavior of the Father.
You automatically think the innocent daughter, paid with her life, through a random act of violence, for the sins of the Father. One always asks.. why this girl and not some other who did something bad? Those two kids were both innocents.
Did Laura's Dad learn anything? Well he said he hopes the other family now feels how he does losing a child, so no, I don't think so. The boys' family I know personally and so I know they are devastated. How would they not be? The Dad got the confession out of his son and he was the reason the police arrested the boy.
The girls' Father talks, as if the park his daughter was killed in, belongs to him and he will sit and wait for people with bats there. This is trouble waiting to happen because the park is a baseball park as well as football and soccer. Of course no one believes he will do it. It was just grief talking but it sure speaks a lot about our society. Violence begets violence. Every one wishes the worst things to happen to this boy in jail. And now that he's done this, can he ever be trusted to be free in this world? His life is over.
So to keep hope and balance in the world, we only have a merciful God to depend on and his teachings of love and forgiveness to prevail. With each day that passes, I find people need to pay attention so as to make it easier and nicer for our children to grow. Laws and government can't do this because these are personal issues. We are adults and we are here to teach our children through example. Regardless of human rights and freedom, I believe every adult knows what the right and wrong thing to do is and if he doesn't, he should be taught.
This is the kind of quality time I have with my children.lol This is why parents have to be there to explain things as they crop up. It's always a push and pull and I'd like to think that so far, my husband and I are winning :)
The throw above was so easy to finish. I already had the middle green part done with my knitting machine, which took no time at all. So I only worked on the edging and sewed on the light green chain all around for contrast.
I made it so it could be used as a shawl as well as a throw since the edging can be turned over for those cold mornings sitting by the computer lol Its quite long as you can see so it covers all body sizes. Being chilly all the time, I like to have these things hanging around to wrap up in and so do my guys when they watch TV or sitting in the car. Now I had enough of knitting and will put everything away for a while.

Three year old son Scott had thin fly-away hair, so his mother often wet it to comb it into place. One morning as she applied water and slicked his hair back , she announced it was time for him to get another haircut. "Mom." Scott replied, "If you'd quit watering it so much, it wouldn't grow so fast!" ----------------------------------------------------- A man was driving along the highway, and saw a rabbit hopping across the middle of the road. He swerved to avoid hitting the rabbit, but unfortunately the rabbit jumped in front of the car and was hit. The driver, being a sensitive man as well as an animal lover, pulled over to the side of the road, and got out to see what had become of the rabbit. Much to his dismay, the rabbit was dead. The driver felt so awful, he began to cry. A woman driving down the highway saw the man crying on the side of the road and pulled over. She stepped out of her car and asked the man what was wrong. "I feel terrible," he explained, "I accidentally hit this rabbit and killed it." The woman told the man not to worry. She knew what to do. She went to her car trunk, and pulled out a spray can. She walked over to the limp, dead rabbit, and sprayed the contents of the can onto the rabbit. Miraculously the rabbit came to life, jumped up, waved its paw at the two humans and hopped down the road. 50 yards away the rabbit stopped, turned around, waved and hopped down the road, another 50 yards, turned, waved and hopped another 50 yards. The man was astonished. He couldn't figure out what substance could be in the woman's spray can!! He ran over to the woman and asked, "What is in your spray can? What did you spray on that rabbit?" The woman turned the can around so that the man could read the label. It said: "Hair spray. Restores life to dead hair and adds a permanent wave." -----------------------------------------------------------------

Yesterday I watched a movie where a killer tried to explain the insignificance of man. He said if you look at an atom it is soo small you can see through it and yet it is soo powerful that if you split it it explodes with such ferocity. In essence, man, as well as everything we see and touch including the floors, is see through and basically does not exist and yet, together with the reflection of light, we see and we can touch. So in essence if we do not exist then self destruction is not possible and this he made as an excuse for using nuclear power against people.
It is fascinating how man can misinterpret things. God says he gave us life to live and the 7 senses to enjoy living with.
So whether we exist per se, is irrelevant.
A miracle happened. A miracle Angels would love to share but can't and even in death, these atoms do not explode but if they are nuclear and powerful, they will continue to live basically forever with all we know about radiation.
It is amazing that we fear radiation and yet it lives within us, a magical force both hot and cold, both powerful and at rest, peaceful and beautiful.
Something to think about. --------------------------------------------------
A man is flying in a hot air balloon and realizes he is lost. He reduces height and spots a man down below. He lowers the balloon further and shouts: "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised my friend I would meet him half an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."
The man below says: "Yes. You are in a hot air balloon, hovering approximately 30 feet above this field. You are between 40 and 42 degrees N. latitude, and between 58 and 60 degrees W. longitude."
"You must be an engineer" says the balloonist.
"I am" replies the man. "How did you know."
"Well" says the balloonist, "everything you have told me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to make of
your information, and the fact is I am still lost."
The man below says "You must be a manager."
"I am" replies the balloonist, "but how did you know?"
"Well", says the man, "you don't know where you are, or where you are going. You have made a promise which you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. The fact is you are in the exact same position you were in before we met, but now it is somehow my fault." ====================================

I heard you call Like an echo in the wind I heard my name Like a whisper on a breath So warm and breezy Caressing curls in my hair I felt you
I heard you cry So deep in sleep I saw your dream Our noses touched I heard my name I saw the tear
And you were mine So warm, our cheeks caressed A whisper on a breath An echo in the wind I heard you call Entranced, I came running To keep you safe So you could sleep.

I think now, you know it all :)
The news said it is healthy to sleep with your pets because they give you a sense of well being. I agree. I can't imagine a home without man's best friend.
The wind storm left some houses without power and pushed open my front door. But all is well and so we will enjoy a brand new day.
This card dates back to 1976. It was sent me by my Cousin Natalie. She is what I can call a good egg. lol Come to think of it, I have a lot of good eggs around me. :)
My Cousin always loved horses like I do, except she rode them at her 4H Club in New York and then after getting married, her hubby got her a few beauts she loves and trains. One she got as a colt and had to nurse to health and now she shows him.
Horses are a serious business and boy did I get a thrill when she let me sit on one, very well trained, gray Appaloosa named Blue I believe. I will never forget that day. She explained to me that when you are training a horse for show only one person should ride it so horse and rider become one.
The only other horse I rode was this old whiskered wise guy in Quebec. I took him cause I thought he'd be the safest for my riding experience. lol He sure knew his trail and was not exactly a follower.
We had a very muddy place to ride in and he took me away from all the dirt, over clean areas , and he didn't care if there was a tree branch to topple me off of him. lol He was the boss and I just sat on him. lol
When we got back to the barn all the other horses were full of mud and when it came to my horse and me, he was in pristine condition while I needed a bath. I was kinda sad cause every one else had a horse to clean and I had nothing. lol
This is where you bond with a horse when you fuss over it not like he cared to bond much with me at his age. lol All he wanted was the sugar cubes and the carrots. He knew he had a job to do so he gets fed that day, so it was business as usual. It's important to support riding stables for this reason alone.
I can say from that day forward, my respect for horses went up 100 fold. I thought they were extremely, intelligent animals and although they like to travel in groups, they don't necessarily all think the same way.
I thought if you have a friend in a horse, its a friend for life. There's no telling when you will need him to get you out of a jam and so the friendship is mutual.
Good eggs come in all sizes and genetic make up. Doesn't matter if they are 2 footed or 4 footed, or with wings, each is designed unique. Each wants to live. Each has a preordained destiny.
Do you ever wonder why a certain animal or person is attracted to you and vs? There could be many pups but then there is just that special one that gives you a look or a special wag and you say .... hey....you are for me. Well this sort of thing was pre ordained. You were meant to have this animal for a reason and vs. and then the story comes out as to why.
When I look at my other half I think ...we were pre ordained. I needed him in way I needed no other and he took my fancy. Now I know men will laugh at the next statement because men are simple. lol
I attracted him for a special reason as well, going much deeper than what guys look for in women. lol Otherwise we would not be together after 37 years. We always told our friends who'd ask if they should marry, that if they had to ask, it wasn't the right one.
No, we will grow old together. We are growing old together lol
And the kids watch and shake their heads saying boy, the two of you are of one mind and they can't figure it out. Well yes and no. lol He is still who he is and I am who I am but together, we are something else.
I guess we are two good eggs with two good egglings to raise trying to make sense , like everyone else, of this world we live in. We want goodness to reign, families to be raised with good experiences. We want a world with food on the table and clean fresh water. We want to see good business not funny business.
Good makes for good but if you do bad, well what goes around comes around in full circle. And we are seeing this happening right now. Things out of control. People we trusted, who asked us for trust, betraying the good will of the people.
So who do we trust now? Certainly not men. So we trust in God because he is there to teach us through our own mistakes and hopes we learn as we hope our children learn.
So I hope by talking about it, we can all one day realize that we have to be on the same page, working towards the same goals and felling one by one, those who exceed greed and heinous acts, by doing things beyond what is considered acceptable behavior. Our country requires we be guided by the holy spirit which is a uniting force enveloping us all who enter and accepting it, as an existent force.
Man is not different. Mankind , humanity, is all the same.
Once there was a dishonest painter who used to water down his paint far too much. One day, as he was painting the steeple of a church building, thunderclouds gathered and rain washed all his thinned-down paint away. Then followed a booming voice out of heaven, saying, "Repaint, and thin no more." (repent and sin no more)

Once a generous Rabbi went to work in the colony of a people called "the Trids." As he was among them, a large and menacing giant appeared on the scene and began abusing the Trids. He picked them up and threw them down and began kicking them mercilessly.
"Hey, stop picking on those poor Trids," the Rabbi interjected. "And stop kicking them. If you must kick someone, kick me instead."
The giant replied, "Silly Rabbi, kicks are for Trids." ( silly rabbit tricks are for kids)

Who was the wisest financial investor in the Bible?
A: Noah, who floated his stock, while everyone else liquidated their assets.
A police officer sees a man driving around with a pickup truck full of Squirrels. He pulls the guy over and says... "You can't drive around with squirrels in this town! Take them to the zoo immediately." The guy says "OK"... and drives away. The next day, the officer sees the guy still driving around with the truck full of squirrels, and they're all wearing sun glasses. He pulls the guy over and demands... "I thought I told you to take these squirrels to the zoo yesterday?" The guy replies... "I did . . . today I'm taking them to the beach!"
Father Son Hunting Trip
A father and son went hunting together for the first time. The father said "Stay here and be very QUIET. I’ll be across the field."
A few minutes later, the father heard a blood curdling scream and ran back to his son.
"What’s wrong?" the father asked. "I told you to be quiet."
The son answered" "Look, I was quiet when the snake slithered across my feet. I was quiet when the bear breathed down my neck." "But when the two squirrels crawled up my pant legs and said, should we eat them here or take them with us?" -------------------------------------------------

Once upon a time there were three little pigs. The straw pig, the stick pig, and the brick pig. One day this nasty old wolf came up to the straw pigs house and said, "I'm gonna huff and puff and blow your house down." And he did! So the straw pig went running over to the stick pig's house and said "Please let me in, the wolf just blew down my house." So the stick pig let the straw pig in. Just then the wolf showed up and said, "I'm gonna huff and puff and blow your house down." And he did! So the straw pig and the stick pig went running over to the brick pigs house and said," Let us in, let us in, the big bad wolf just blew our houses down." So the brick pig let them in just as the wolf showed up. The wolf said " I'm gonna huff and puff and blow your house down." The straw pig and the stick were so scared! But the brick pig picked up the phone and made a call. A few minutes passed and a big, black stretch limo pulls up. Out step two massive pigs in pin striped suits and fedora hats. These pigs come over to the wolf, grab him by the neck and beat the living crap out of him. Then one of them pulled out a gun and fired killing the wolf. Then they got back into their limo and drove off. The straw pig and stick pig were amazed! "Who the heck were those guys?" they asked. "Those were my cousins from Jersey -- the Guinea Pigs."

A Lady's Life.

A lady tells her husband to go to the store to buy some cigarettes. He walks down to the store only to find it closed. So he goes into a nearby bar to use the vending machine. At the bar he sees a beautiful woman and starts talking to her.
They have a couple of beers and one thing leads to another and they end up in her apartment. After they've had their fun, he realizes its 3am and says, "Oh no, its so late, my wife's going to kill me. Have you got any talcum powder?" She gives him some talcum powder, which he proceeds to rub on his hands and then he goes home.
His wife is waiting for him in the doorway and she is pretty angry. "Where the hell have you been?"
"Well, honey, it's like this. I went to the store like you asked, but they were closed. So I went to the bar to use the vending machine. I saw this great looking girl there and we had a few drinks and one thing led to another and I ended up in bed with her."
"Oh yeah? Let me see Your hands!" She sees his hands are covered with powder and... "You damned liar!!! You were playing pool again!!!"

On a frost covered day The squirrels birds and bunnies Tried to find ways to enter a home They saw the kitties so warm and so pretty And thought boy.. what a great life.
The Devil tells a Real Estate Agent, “Look, I can make you richer, more famous, and more successful than any Real Estate Agent alive. In fact, I can make you the greatest agent that ever lived.”
“Well,” says the Real Estate Agent, “what do I have to do in return?”
The Devil smiles, “Well, of course you have to give me your soul,” he says, “but you also have to give me the souls of your children, the souls of your children’s children and, as a matter of fact, you have to give me the souls of all your descendants throughout eternity.”
“Wait a minute,” the Real Estate Agent says cautiously, “What’s the catch?”
I would say this joke hits the nail on the head. Real Estate people do not sell you homes. They sell you interest. They do not care about the house They want the land. Theoretically speaking, if the house is not attached to the foundation you should be able to pick it up with a truck and move it out cause it's a moveable.
And if the land is worth more than what you owe in mortgage, then how can they say they are allowed to take away your assets for a few months back payments? You can sell it yourself or you can take your house off the property and sell it and pay off the land again, and build another house.
People need to dig in and fight and look for discrepancies and not allow these real estate people to run you off your land. The U.S. MLA was right when she said dig in and fight.
I felt very bad for the couple who went on TV and told everyone they had a heritage farm, kept in the family for over 100 years and they lost it cause they were bled to death by the mortgage company. This is how they obtain property today, by scamming hard working clean honest people. Not only do they destroy your life for gain they have not earned, but they destroy your good family name and thus that of your children. Nothing is left but to fight back. Go public and fight back.
George Carlin said man has thrown away all sense of sanity. He has not been using his gift of a brain to live and make peace with mankind animals nor the environment. As a result man struggles to survive every day. The world lacks in tolerance and forgiveness. People become cold, calculating and greedy. As the negative instead of the positive become entrenched into daily life, people and planet become weaker for how can you win, fighting against yourself?
There is no yin and yang in life. There is only one, tied together, by positive and negative forces. These magnetic forces do not separate us but tie us all together.
United we stand - Divided we fall. So work ....... united. -------------------------------------
The flickering lights in a deep dark sky Know when we're apart For one by one they fall and die Like cinders in my heart You leave me always in despair Each time you go away You break me up and leave my life In cruel disarray.
I sit and watch the stars by night And wonder if they could Just for an instant make you stop And take a good long look Reflect upon what we do have Each others' strong embrace Our eyes could see each others' soul Through crowds and walls and distant space.
There is only you and me a child and a small dog A love so pure and molten No sword or knife could cut.
But then when you're away my dear The view becomes a haze Other stars begin to carry The string of memories we made. And we're lost between their lights And search in vain, to find The string that held us close , A flutter and untied
The Universe sits in splendor It's colored and lit up A fireworks display of motion Disappears as fast as it lights up And every day I sit a thinkin It can never be untied..........
Melted hot and molten Our silken string is strong No sword or knife can cut it or untie it in wind.

Little Johnny and his family were having Sunday dinner at his Grandmother's house. Everyone was seated around the table as the food was being served.
When Little Johnny received his plate, he started eating right away. 'Johnny! Please wait until we say our prayer.' said his mother.
'I don't need to,' the boy replied. 'Of course, you do.' his mother insisted. 'We always say a prayer before eating at our house.' 'That's at our house.' Johnny explained. 'But this is Grandma's house and she knows how to cook!'

One Sunday after church Mom asked her very young daughter what the lesson was about. Her daughter answered "Don't be scared, you'll get your quilts." Needless to say, mom was perplexed. Later in the day, the Pastor stopped by for tea. Mom asked him what that morning's Sunday school lesson was about. He said "Be not afraid, thy comforter is coming."

Question: How do you make God laugh? Answer: Tell Him your plans!!!!!!!
=================================== A kindergarten teacher gave her class a "show and tell" assignment. Each student was instructed to bring in an object to share with the class that represented their religion.
The first student got up in front of the class and said, "My name is Benjamin and I am Jewish and this is a Star of David."
The second student got up in front of the class and said, "My name is Mary. I'm a Catholic and this is a Rosary."
The third student got in up front of the class and said, "My name is Tommy. I am Methodist, and this is a casserole."
During the Buffalo conference, a busload of us went up to Canada. When we got to the border upon our return to the US, an immigration officer came on board the bus.
In a less than friendly, and far too authoritarian tone, he told us that all he needed to know from each of us was our country of citizenship. He then proceeded down the aisle, stopping at each row of seats, and pointing to each person. "Citizenship?" he said, as he pointed at each person.
Talk about performance anxiety! The first couple of "U...U...U...S's" seemed to go over his head, but after a few more, he started getting suspicious, curious, and concerned. Finally, someone explained to him who we were, and he relaxed.
But it was one of the funniest stuttering experiences of my life.

Moods
Insane I walk on full moons beams
I know the path. I walk up streams.
They cool my feet while my soul burns
Like hot red coals on water steams
The embers flick off of my brain
And scatter quickly but refrain
From speaking out explaining why
It is they flicker, just to die.
So aimlessly and without cause
Like me, they circle up and pause
Then look around as though to see
IF someone else lurks round like me.
Then clouds surround and crowd the moon
My eyes they close, I start to swoon,
Oh blissful sleep, how long I've waited
The peace you bring is clearly understated.
The embers cool, my feet grow warm
Insanity departs in scorn
And leaves me all alone to lie
Till morrow brings a friendlier sky

Starch is used as a binder in the production of paper. It is the use of a starch coating that controls ink penetration when printing. Your elbows get black when you have them on your morning paper because the paper does not have much starch and is therefore cheaper paper.

If lies were truths and truths were lies The world would surely not survive No one would know which one was which The gray half truth, half lie could switch
Yet with the rise of each bright sun I find myself excused by one Perfected in the light of gray Where truth and lie they meet half way.
I stamp my feet and pull my hair How could anyone so dare To trick me in this half wit way Keep me in limbo so I stay
I know the difference in truth lies That it is grounded while the other flies So easy in its time of mirth, while so Sombre in the eye of truth
When truth meets lie upon a bridge It leads all men and beasts to twitch All lie in dread of what's to come Will victor be a liars son?
Of course not TRUTH is here to stay! Like black and White, it's clear as day! The bugles roar out proclamations And liars spew out insinuations The course of time is thus confronted And truth insists it can't be stunted For if it easily is swayed All liars, they will have their way
You hold yourself in great esteem In face of lies you want to scream I'll tell you truth I'll wheel and deal.I'll mimic ,joke, I'll even steal. But in the end I promise you, that my self worth, Will be the end of you. In many truths you tell you'll see You won't get far without little ol me.
Both men and beasts stood all confused In face of lies who face the truths And to this day you'll see them there On bridge on high with long white hair
A world caught in time remains in limbo Between truth and lie it's not so simple
The world would surely not survive If lies were truths and truths were lies. No one would know which one was which The gray half truth, half lie could switch.
Today was an interesting day. It snowed wet snow and it was quite cloudy as we made our way into downtown Vancouver. There was a huge accident of about 5 cars bumping each other and we had to wait a long time to get out of it. At home we found my Mom's old tarnished tea pot and tray. It is very old and now I have to think how I can clean it. During the day I found a chip with a picture in it of a torso. I got all excited like a baby and called my son who came over and laughingly said: " Oh not again. You don't see things again?"
I laughed and said no you really have to examine it to see a muscular chest and abs. and even a belly button. He nodded his head and kissed my cheek and walked away. I could hear his thoughts. Small things amuse small minds lol
I keep thinking of the lady who went on television with her famous chips pieces with pictures in them. She had quite a collection and was showing them to the audience. She was so careful not to break any
Reflecting on the tarnished tea pot another thing happened today which related to tarnished lives. As we were leaving home, Global TV and Radio Canada were at my sons' High School. They said 15 year old Laura Szendrei's killer was found. We were all stunned as to how they found him after so long and my son was on his blackberry trying to find out from friends what they knew. And then the answer itself, was just like a blow on the head. It was a young man who went to school with my son from Kindergarten. A nice young handsome fair young man with a beautiful smile. We went to his birthday party and his family is so nice. He was arrested and will be in jail on first degree murder charges till his hearing on March 7th. His name and face were not posted because he was 17 last year but he will be charged as an adult. Now they are wondering if he was also the fellow who attacked other women around our area.
He was in the park area and apparently left telling people he left because he saw Laura on the ground and it had such a profound affect on him (it seems they could see her brain) he needed therapy and then he went to Mexico for a month.
My son said he partied on New Years with them and didn't seem worse for wear but I guess it was heavy on his heart because he told his Dad and then the police came. Apparently they saw him at a local 7/11 surveillance camera changing his clothes because he had blood on them.
Laura's family said he looks like an angel and yet capable of doing devil things. They want to know why, because the attack seems to be without motive. The kids didn't know each other. They are still devastated, like it happened yesterday. I am sure I understand how they feel and we are all equally shocked as to who did it.
As much as I was angry something like this took place around our area, now that we know who it is who did it, we feel soo bad for the boys family. Laura's Father said he hopes the boys family now feels the way he does about losing his daughter which is unfair because the boys parents are innocent just as they are. They also have two more younger children in the neighborhood schools who will need to suffer their brothers guilt. A boy like that in an adult jail will also be abused by the inmates. His young life is lost.
What a tragedy to befall two families. It seems that this boy was always very quiet, shy and small . He was teased a lot and he spent a lot of time playing video killing games. Is it possible these games affected him?
We also had a small boy at our school but he was so cool about it that because of his attitude, everyone loved him He was one of the most popular kids in school.
When this killing happened, the kids had an incident with another group of kids where bear spray was used, so at the beginning everyone thought one of these boys retaliated and ended up killing Laura because she squealed on them, And on face book these boys seemed to be quite afraid to be accused of killing her.
The incident took place in the woods park by the school and I remember going to the school when my son was in kindergarten, to tell them that these woods have to be cut down so people could see inside. A lot of bad things were going on in there. They are cut now, too little too late. It always takes a tragedy before the right things get done and I can't understand why this is this way all the time.
Well we are all shocked beyond belief especially my son. He said the girl was tiny and nice so why would he do this to her?
The girls parents will want to see the boy now to ask him "why?"
A very upsetting day.
I found 2 tarnished silver items today, which reflected 2 tarnished lives and a chip with a muscled torso. Sorta like life, chipped away to resemble a strong young powerful life and yet destroyed by lifes' elements showing its' fragility. A true BC tragedy .
This was before my time but it feels so familiar, maybe because I watched so many movies of simpler times. Like, To Kill a Mockingbird comes to mind. The people were simple but very industrious. They were adept at adapting to whatever life threw at them without much fuss. Life and reality was what you saw every day.
The people in the middle picture could very well fit into a picture of the building of the railway or maybe Waltons' Mountain , or lumber workers. The Garage is very familiar and we had such garages around where I lived in Montreal.
No fancy words. Just GARAGE. You come in and they fix everything and anything. You could smell the grease and the oils and diesel. A mechanic was well respected . His hands were black and he always carried a rag to wipe them with and a hat was always part of the over all uniform. lol He fixed cars and poured gas and served coffee and always had time for a smile and a chat.
Every trucker seemed to be his own man with respect to the fixing of his own rig. When you travelled on the road, the driver of a big rig was your best friend in the case of a break down. He always had the best professional heavy tools ready for any situation and they were always ready to help as opposed to today. The trucker mentality has changed drastically. I remember I used to love the smell of gas as it was poured into the gas tank. The price of a truck in the 1930's and 40's ranged from about $ 395 .00 to 1,500 They are probably all manual. Henry Ford apparently didn't like the idea of electric starters
You can still pick up a 1948 F1 Ford Pick up for 20k A 1934 Ford id engine flatbed sells today for 16,950.00
One fellow is selling a 1938 ford truck for 1,500.00 Must need repairs. lol another 1937 ford pick up is selling for $54,900.00
Thats quite an investment and where would you find the leaded gas today to run it? Sort of a bummer for the old car collector who likes to take his prize out for a drive and for a show.
'That's a lovely car,' says the mechanic. 'What seems to be the matter?' Well, it just conked out I'm afraid.' 'Let me have look.' The mechanic set to work and ten minutes later the engine was purring like a cat again. 'Thank goodness,' she said. 'What was the matter ?' 'Simple really, just poop in the carburetor,' he replied. Looking shocked she asked, 'Oh, OK. How many times a week do I have to do that?'

A man was on a cruise in the Bermuda Triangle. A storm appeared without warning and his ship went down. He was in a lifeboat and began rowing to save people in the water. Ahead he saw a man waiving - he recognized that it was his attorney. He stated: "We have to save him first, he saved my ass on my divorce". They began rowing towards the attorney as a pack of sharks began swimming there as well. They got there first and began circling the attorney and the circle got smaller and smaller. His friend stated: "Oh, no - they are going in for a feeding frenzy" as they closed in and threw the attorney up in the air. He landed - straddling two sharks on their backs and then they leisurely swam him to the lifeboat. The attorney stepped from their backs into the lifeboat. Everyone aboard the lifeboat couldn't believe what they just saw and asked: "What just happened?" The attorney replied: "Professional courtesy". -- thanks to Paul Edholm

Below is something created that's really incredible to watch. What an imagination must this man have not to mention all the work required to put it all together. Enjoy!
When was the longest day in the Bible?
The day Adam was created because there was no Eve.
A newly discovered chapter in the Book of Genesis has provided the answer to "Where do pets come from?" Adam said, "Lord, when I was in the garden, you walked with me everyday. Now I do not see you anymore. I am lonesome here and it is difficult for me to remember how much you love me."
And God said, "No problem! I will create a companion for you that will be with you forever and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will love me even when you cannot see me. Regardless of how selfish or childish or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourself."
And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam. And it was a good animal. And God was pleased. And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and he wagged his tail. And Adam said, "Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and I cannot think of a name for this new animal."
And God said, "No problem! Because I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG."
And Dog lived with Adam and was a companion to him and loved him. And Adam was comforted. And God was pleased. And Dog was content and wagged his tail.
After a while, it came to pass that Adam's guardian angel came to the Lord and said, "Lord, Adam has become filled with pride. He struts and preens like a peacock and he believes he is worthy of adoration. Dog has indeed taught him that he is loved, but perhaps too well."
And the Lord said, "No problem! I will create for him a companion who will be with him forever and who will see him as he is. The companion will remind him of his limitations, so he will know that he is not always worthy of adoration."
And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam. And Cat would not obey Adam. And when Adam gazed into Cat's eyes, he was reminded that he was not the supreme being. And Adam learned humility.
And God was pleased. And Adam was greatly improved. And Dog was happy. And the Cat didn't give a hoot one way or the other.
By all means marry. If you get a good wife, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher...and that is a good thing for any man. Socrates

(oops?)
I have an aunt by marriage who is suffering from Epilepsy. She had a hard life struggling with this disease and recently had a brain hemorrhage. Although she began to talk and answer questions, this morning the doctor said she was in deep sleep. So what does this all mean Coma? Is this the end? Well it would not be such a bad thing if God decided to take this poor woman and give her life everlasting where she could live in peace and tranquility. My own Mom got Parkinsons and Alzheimers as a side effect from the pills they gave her. The doctors over dozed her and damaged her brain and it went from there. She lived in the country and we had a plane fly by spraying the corn fields. The water of course, came from under the ground.

So as a matter of curiosity, I began to do a little search as to how many people have brain afflictions. If it is of interest to me it might be of interest to many. First I found stats having to do with Schizophrenia. Australia has around 285,000 cases Britain has 280,000 cases, Canada has 280,000 plus the US has 2.2 million India has4.3 - 8.7 cases, china has 6- 12 million cases. They say it can be triggered by many things like stress in pregnancy, genes, marijuana and other brain altering drugs, People can begin having it from 15 years of age. In the US , in 2002, 62.7 billion was spent dealing with the issue of Schizophrenia.Out of three million people, 21,000 could have this affliction. --------------------------------------------------------------- Parkinsons world wide 6 million cases and many undiagnosed Canada has 100,000 cases of Parkinsons The US has around 1 000 000 cases Britain has 800,000 cases China around 1,200,000
Italy 407 out of 100,000 population Nebraska, USA is very high 329.3 people/100,000

How about Khadafi? We know Reagan had it as President. France 1.3 mill expected to have it by 2020 =================================
Brain Tumors in US
On January 1, 2002, in the United States, there were approximately 105,960 people (56,865 men and 49,095 women) alive who had a history of brain cancer. This includes any person alive on January 1, 2002, who had been diagnosed with brain cancer at any point prior to January 1, 2002, people with active disease, and those who had been cured of their disease.
The current estimated human population for the planet earth in 2010 is 6,865,300,000 by the United States Census Bureau. The United Nations estimates that world population will be over the 7,000,000,000 mark in 2011. Recent U.N. organized surveys performed in multiple countries have found the average percentage of people who suffer from some sort of cancer is 31%. The American Cancer Society has found similar numbers in its studies of North and South America.
I know a lot of people who died from brain tumors but did not find any quick stats available. I don't know why we sit worrying about wars etc. when most of the world is or will be insane pretty soon. lol ---------------------------------------- crazy quotes

yup
We are all certifiable lol We are all the same where disease is concerned and if the brain is diseased then there is not much hope for anyone. So George Carlin was right when he mentioned the planet being able to take care of itself. People are dying from HIV. Germs know how to survive our antibacterial products. Cancer requires no oxygen to live . We destroy our planet and then sit rotting in hospitals where there are no answers.
It is scary that the world today is also controlled by people who we do not know, and especially if when we do not know if they are sane or not.
We probably wage wars because of insanity. We require answers as why we get disfunctional brains and solutions to this problem , sooner rather than later. ------------------------- The psychology instructor had just finished a lecture on mental health and was giving an oral test.

From the Northwest Florida Daily News comes this story:
A Crestview couple who drove their car to Wal-Mart, only to have their car break down in the parking lot. The man told his wife to carry on with the shopping while he fixed the car in the lot. The wife returned later to see a small group of people near the car.
On closer inspection, she saw a pair of male legs protruding from under the chassis. Although the man was in shorts, his lack of underpants turned private parts into glaringly public ones. Unable to stand the embarrassment, she dutifully stepped forward, quickly put her hand UP his shorts, and tucked everything back into place. She took a deep breath and stood up boldly to face the crowd.
She looked across the hood and found herself staring at her husband, who had been standing idly by. The mechanic, however, had to have three stitches in his forehead…

This is a cover I am making and embroidering . I put the squares together in panels but will do some other things to it before putting it completely together. I already have the sides to attach to it compliments of my knitting machine. :)
Pretty soon it will be ready to use for Christmas to bring color to a room and picture taking. I have to find some outlines to make hearts and birds, like an owl, to fill in the empty squares. Then I have to think what to put for the backing. Maybe I can quilt it as well. So far it looks great and I am quite happy with it.
It's not Christmas but you have to see this crazy dog . He is having the time of his life playing. This is a great way to wash animals.
I remember in Quebec we would have snow like in the video. My Mom would take out her Persian carpet from the living room and we would put snow on it and broom it on both sides. It would take all the dust out of it and clean it so when we would bring it back inside it smelled so fresh for another year. I don't remember my Mom ever using chemicals on it to wash it. Just plain fresh white snow.
Three women go down to Mexico one night to celebrate college graduation,
get drunk, and wake up in jail, only to find that they are to be executed in
the morning, though none of them can remember what they did the night
before.
The first one, a redhead, is strapped in the electric chair and is asked
if she has any last words. She says, "I just graduated from Trinity Bible
College and believe in the almighty power of God to intervene on the behalf
of the innocent."
They throw the switch and nothing happens. They all immediately fall to
the floor on their knees, beg for forgiveness, and release her.
The second one, a brunette, is strapped in and gives her last words. "I
just graduated from the Harvard School of Law and I believe in the power of
justice to intervene on the part of the innocent."
They throw the switch and again, nothing happens. Again they all
immediately fall to their knees, beg for forgiveness and release her.
The last one (you knew it), a blonde, is strapped in and says, "Well, I'm
from A & M University and just graduated with a degree in
Electrical Engineering, and I'll tell ya right now, ya'll ain't gonna
electrocute nobody if you don't plug this thing in.
I do not have any more children in the house but lots of memories stuck in boxes which need to be sorted. Some things need to be kept. Some sold in a garage sale.
One thing I always liked doing is buying puzzles especially when I see nice ones on sale. They are always good, for all ages, to do . Kids and seniors can spend wonderful quality time, sitting doing these things over hot chocolate and good conversation. I remember my friend taking them to do when they went skiing.
Something is nice about sitting beside a crackling fire watching the snow flakes and doing a nice puzzle with a brandy.
Then what do you do with it, once it's finished? Well I like to glue them onto a poster board and then frame them.
I find it pays to do if the puzzle is a nice one. Then if you want to sell it at a craft fair and/or give it as a present to some one, it usually is appreciated.
I don't know what other people do with their elaborate puzzles once they are done. The last blog had a train puzzle and todays' is a bird and roses. I like both of them. ============================== Jokes
A big shot business man had to spend a couple of days in the hospital.
He was a royal pain to the nurses because he bossed them around just like he did his employees. None of the hospital staff wanted to have anything to do with him.
The head nurse was the only one who could stand up to him. She walked into his room and announced, "I have to take your temperature."
After complaining for several minutes, he finally settled down, crossed his arms and opened his mouth.
"No, I'm sorry, the nurse stated, "but for this reading, I can't use an oral thermometer."
This started another round of complaining, but eventually he rolled over and bared his behind.
After feeling the nurse insert the thermometer, he heard her announce, "I have to get something. Now you stay JUST LIKE THAT until I get back!"
She leaves the door to his room open on her way out. He curses under his breath as he hears people walking past his door, laughing. After almost an hour, the man's doctor comes into the room.
"What's going on here?" asked the doctor.
Angrily, the man answers, "What's the matter, Doc? Haven't you ever seen someone having their temperature taken before?"
After a pause, the doctor replies, "Yes, but never with a daffodil!" Moral of the story ? Never cross your nurse. =================================================
Times are a changin.
An architect, an artist and an accountant were discussing whether it was better to spend time with the wife or a mistress.
The architect said he enjoyed time with his wife, building a solid foundation for an enduring relationship.
The artist said he enjoyed time with his mistress, because of the passion and mystery he found there.
The accountant said, "I like both."
"Both?"
The accountant replied "Yeah. If you have a wife and a mistress, they will each assume you are spending time with the other woman, and you can go to the office and get some work done." -----------------------------------------------------------------
Five cannibals get appointed as engineers in a Oil Company.
During the welcoming ceremony the boss says: "You're all part of our team now. You can earn good money here, and you can go to the cafeteria for something to eat. So don't trouble the other employees".
The cannibals promise not to trouble the other employees.
Four weeks later the boss returns and says: "You're all working very hard, and I'm very satisfied with all of you. One of our cleaners has disappeared, however. Do any of you know what happened to her?" The cannibals disavow all knowledge of the missing cleaner.
After the boss has left, the leader of the cannibals says to the others: "Which of you idiots ate the cleaning lady?".
A hand raises hesitantly, to which the leader of the cannibals says: "You fool! For four weeks we've been eating Team Leaders, Task Leaders and Project Managers so no one would notice anything, and you have to go and eat the cleaning lady!"
My Bucket List contains things I still would love to do in my life. Since the list is long, I don't think I will ever have time to grow old, let alone die. lol
One of these things is to go on a long train ride through mountains and valleys and watch the landscape change in color and smell.
And if only the train could stop, when people would like to sight see a certain spot along the way. This would truly be grand.
Here is a poem about the train of life Written By: Praveen
Some folks ride the train of life Looking out the rear, Watching miles of life roll by, And marking every year.
They sit in sad remembrance, Of wasted days gone by, And curse their life for what it was, And hang their head and cry.
But I don’t concern myself with that, I took a different vent, I look forward to what life holds, And not what has been spent.
So strap me to the engine, As securely as I can be, I want to be out on the front, To see what I can see.
I want to feel the winds of change, Blowing in my face, I want to see what life unfolds, As I move from place to place.
I want to see what’s coming up, Not looking at the past, Life’s too short for yesterdays, It moves along too fast.
So if the ride gets bumpy, While you are looking back, Go up front, and you may find, Your life has jumped the track.
It’s all right to remember, That’s part of history, But up front’s where it’s happening, There’s so much mystery.
The enjoyment of living, Is not where we have been, It’s looking ever forward, To another year and ten.
It’s searching all the byways, Never should you refrain, For if you want to live your life, You gotta drive the train.
Roger was on a train, mumbling to himself, smiling, and then raising his hand. After a moment of silence, he would go through the same process ... mumble, smile, raise hand, silence.
Maggie watched this closely, and after about ¼ an hour, she said, in a concerned voice, 'Excuse me. Is anything the matter?'
'Oh, no,' Roger answered. 'It's just that these long trips get very tedious so I tell myself jokes.'
'Why then, inquired Maggie, 'do you keep raising your hand?'
'Well,' smiled Roger, 'that's to interrupt myself because I've heard that joke before.'
There are many 'pinot' wines on the market these days: Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Grigio are but a few.
There is also marketing research on a product for senior citizens from a new hybrid grape that acts as a diuretic and will reduce the number of trips an older person has to make to the bathroom during the night.
They will be marketing the new wine as .... Pinot More.
