New Year Tea

I like to think of this as doll china ware but no
It's for grown ups.

I guess it's for one person even though there are 4 cups,
 four saucers and 4 cookie
or scone plates.

They are in a kinda leaf shape and one can sit and
dream of floating away like a fairy on a leaf in a quiet river ,
surrounded by flowers.

Fairies asleep in a walnut on a leaf come to mind.
What a beautiful life to be able to see things
so clearly and so close.
Must be scary as well.

But here you are. Candy canes, tea, milk,
and poochy.
All the comforts of home.

On the home front, colds are certainly bugs people can't seem to get rid of these days. The weather is so interchangeable and in our household it is having its affect.
Every one is sick and just passing the bug back and forth between ourselves. Last night my husband looked so miserable and this morning my nose is running in between sneezes while he seems better because I gave him tylenol syrop. The cold just sits there and refuses to leave.

My son started school the first day after New Years. His first class is soo early he had to leave at 6 am to make sure he made it to school through traffic, which is just a 15 km ride, for an 8:30 class.
Certainly not one of the best decisions he ever made, taking a class during rush hour traffic.
It is foggy and cold enough for the dog rope to be frozen to the back porch.

Poor dog has to be tied even in the back yard, because we can't afford someone opening the gate on the side of the house.

Well need to check my crock pot and put another cauldron on since it is doing so much good. Having a cup of bouillon goes down well instead of coffee or tea nourishing and warming the insides of a body.
Real soul food. lol

OK Happy New Year and guess its back to our old routines lol
Housework, jobs and school.

That's a neat tea set, and I enjoyed your dreamy description of it. Colds are going around here as well. I like your idea of a cup of bouillion, although I still have to have my tea.

George - We also drink tea but lately that bouillon is going down real nice.

Nice tea set. I have a very pretty set that I haven't used because I'm afraid I'll break it. Lol.
Happy new year!

Memoirs lol I think we are all the same. We get things because we love them and then are afraid to use them.
Frankly in my house people aren't as careful as we were in our time. We never chipped anything.
