Being Square is Fun!!

Lions Brand Sends me free emails with updates as to what's up.
They have so many nice patterns and color blends which inspires me to want to do more lol
Like this project for instance.
Squares put together, in a small project, to cover a chair.
9 squares. (not 244)
Easy to wash and brings so  much color into a home to give it a feeling of warmth and real hominess.
It's not for every one but to a family woman like me, who loves kids, animals, flowers and to be surrounded
by stuff , which means something to me, this sort of thing attracts me.

They say you can tell a lot about a person by the house he lives in.
A naked house means the person is not about family.
Family can't get away without stuff inside.
Projects, art, a messy kitchen, dirty floors lol
It means there is life going on there.
People don't exist but actually live there and for me, this is what
makes a house, a home.

When I enter a house which is showcase perfect, I know the woman/people, living there is/are suffering.
24 /7 is about cleaning, obsessing about cleanliness and forgetting about living.
or maybe they are living somewhere else.
There are not enough hours in a day to keep a house spotless, if you also want to live in it.
Apparently it's also not healthy because so many people say you should cut an onion to absorb germs in the air.
You will never see an onion in a showcase home absorbing germs. You will smell
sprays, lysol, etc.... many other chemicals which are not healthy for you.
Dirt is healthier for you because it forces your immune system to work.
Onions are healthier for you, vinegar, spices.etc...
 Life and Living
So...... I love houses full of smells and projects and Lions brand brings color into my life ,
in projects which enhance my immune system because they make me smile.

Thanks Lions brand :)
PS I'd love to comment on all your blogs but the captcha words sometimes make it impossible.
It's better not to have them.

This looks like a nice, cheerful seat cover. You are so very talented!

I'm very sensitive to smells. Perhaps that's why sometimes I go overboard with them. Same as you, I prefer natural aromas. My favourite is, of course, lavender. I can never get enough of it. However, even in my own house, when I cook asparagus, the awful smell drives me crazy.

If a clean house is the sign of a sick mind, then I am the epitome of health. You should see how I live.

Truly, it's not that bad, but I have much better things to do than constantly clean. Write, draw, read, take photographs. Clean? Well, sometime.

Your chair looks delightful. I trust you had fun making it.

I really like this seat cover with the bright bold colors. I can assure you that our house is not showcase perfect, but we like it.

Olga - nothing bothers me.
I remember driving by a farm just fertilized with cow manure. My Dad opened the window and took a deep breath. With gusto he said:
Ahh! Fresh Air! This is the Life!
I thought he was crazy but today I understand why he said it. lol
When I drive my car through such smelly areas I do the same thing and people think I'm crazy lol

Rob Bear I am planning to make such covers for my chairs because I don't like what they sell in stores.
Here I can choose my colors and they are washable.

George - life is about mess. You clean up for guests but every day there are lots of things to do than to think about a perfect house.
I know people who suffer if you step into their homes because they know how much work they put into keeping it clean. So much stress for them and for you because you don't want to
make a mistake. Sorta like Hyacinth with her neighbor . I forget the name of this British show.
