How is it possible we have reached a stage, whereby when you have an official representing you,
his answer to you is:
Oops. It's outside my jurisdiction.
We are not responsible for this.
You go to the Premier or Governor and he says :
Oops.
Then you get to the Prime Minister and President and they both say:
OOps.
We're Global. We can't do anything.
Everything is outsourced.
Can we blame them?
Jobs, utilities, law, banks, all outsourced?
You want to talk to someone about a power outage, you are not talking to a local.
You are talking to India, the Philipines, and God knows who else.
How do they know what is going on in your area?
Should they know?
Is it their business?
We have people we elect and pay them huge salaries and pensions, but they have no jurisdiction to do anything, except spend our money and tax us.
Nothing belongs to the people and so people have no control over their lives.
The whole system and idea of democracy has become a fraud.
At no time in history has it become so important to keep things myopic, so we can see what is happening and to keep it under control.
People lost the control and business accountability.
No one needs to listen to our sob stories anymore and so
this is why the rich get richer and the middle class is on its' way to self destruction.
Leaders Can't Lead?
Fire them.
Leaders need to know how to lead and how to take back control
so they can represent the people.
I love Wolf Blitzer lol
His program sure fires you up to speak out.:)
The corporate boat race
An American automobile company and a Japanese auto company decided to have a competitive boat race on the Detroit River. Both teams practiced hard and long to reach their peak performance. On the big day, they were as ready as they could be. The Japanese team won by a mile.
Afterwards, the American team became discouraged by the loss and their morale sagged. Corporate management decided that the reason for the crushing defeat had to be found. A Continuous Measurable Improvement Team of "Executives" was set up to investigate the problem and to recommend appropriate corrective action. Their conclusion: The problem was that the Japanese team had 8 people rowing and 1 person steering, whereas the American team had 1 person rowing and 8 people steering.
The American Corporate Steering Committee immediately hired a consulting firm to do a study on the management structure. After some time and billions of dollars, the consulting firm concluded that "too many people were steering and not enough rowing." To prevent losing to the Japanese again next year, the management structure was changed to "4 Steering Managers, 3 Area Steering Managers, and 1 Staff Steering Manager" and a new performance system for the person rowing the boat to give more incentive to work harder and become a six sigma performer. "We must give him empowerment and enrichment." That ought to do it.
The next year the Japanese team won by two miles. The American Corporation laid off the rower for poor performance, sold all of the paddles, cancelled all capital investments for new equipment, halted development of a new canoe, awarded high performance awards to the consulting firm, and distributed the money saved as bonuses to the senior executives.
Ed Sullivan sure new how to pick the next stars. Connie Francis was one of them. I still enjoy her songs and they apply to todays' life and living.
I don't think very many singers can compare to these old ones, who never rushed to tell you a story in melody and voice tone.
Who's Sorry Now sure hits the spot today because I am sure every one of us is sorry to watch how politics and government is affecting all our lives.
Could we have made better decisions choosing better leaders and listened between the lines of what was being said to us? Could we have asked better questions? Could we have asked for less money to be spent so we pay less taxes?
Is being given the right to vote at a young age before one has a chance to know or have a taste of life and living the right thing to do? Should we allow elementary schools invade the minds of our childrens' way of thinking instead of allowing them to learn and come to their own conclusions? Should Pressure groups be allowed to influence votes? Should potential leaders sell out the ethics and morals of a country for a vote?
and if we see this, should we see this as an example of who not to vote for? After all....No is practically the very first word we hear and learn apart from Mama.lol
Yes I am sure we all can relate, in one way or another to this song, if not in love, then in some other aspect of our lives.
But in the end, is it not good to realize that we can be sorry and correct things before it is too late?
It seems our planet is telling us something these days and we should give it the attention it deserves and stop our scientists from playing with nature like with that Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland experimenting with the BIG BANG theory, changing weather experiments and experiments which result in slowing the rotation of our planet and then blaming the public for their way of living and global warming, when in fact, nothing is further from the truth.
How is one to judge today, right from wrong, when truth is denied us?
Today some are sorry and some sorrier than others and some, who are the cause of every ones' suffering, are not sorry at all. They live in a Marie Antoinette world, where they believe cake is readily available.
Yes, we are sorry to see so much damage done, so much blood spilt. In yester year it was because of the sword and today, through nature rebelling and continuous wars brought on by old dogma, people do not want to let go of.
There are no winners in war, for God takes no sides in battle. In facing your enemy, you stand alone.
God's job is to forgive because he knows man still does not understand the value, the morals and ethics, of peace.
Man is not ready to let go his fight for survival. He is born of clenched fist ready for battle until, weary, he finally opens it, for God to enter his soul and whisk it away to another place, where it can finally understand the true meaning of freedom, love and trust.
The thing about man is that he is always sorry and he is always ready to try harder in face of the same enemy........ himself. lol
For those of you who have never traveled to the west, or southwest, cattle guards are horizontal steel rails placed at fence openings, in dug-out places in the roads adjacent to highways (sometimes across highways), to prevent cattle from crossing over that area. For some reason the cattle will not step on the "guards," probably because they fear getting their feet caught between the rails.
A few months ago, President Obama received and was reading a report that there were over 100,000 cattle guards inColorado. The Colorado ranchers had protested his proposed changes in grazing policies, so he ordered theSecretary of the Interiorto fire half of the “cattle” guards immediately!
Before the Secretary of the Interior could respond and presumably try to straighten President Obama out on the matter, Vice-PresidentJoe Biden, intervened with a request that...before any “cattle” guards were fired, they be given six months of retraining forArizona border guards. 'Times are hard', said Joe Biden, 'it's only fair to the cattle guards and their families!'
Ya hum lol Guess they don't watch TV lolThere's nothing to it.
In the advertising world, tantalizing, mouth watering food displays
Are projected on almost everything you look at and as a result people
Live to eat.
I mean how can you resist that burger until it is
Actually served you and then looks nothing like the picture. Loll
But you still see the picture in your head and don’t miss that it doesn’t taste the way expected either.
People become addicted to food and our rising grocery bills show it.
I go shopping and buy 300 dollars worth and my son says he has nothing to eat.
I show him a fridge full but he says ya but it all needs to be cooked There is nothing to eat.
I never remember having this problem with my Mother.
I remember telling her I don’t want to eat but she’d force me to.
I was happy with apples.
I was reading the paper once as a teen, and I remember reading about an over abundant crop of potatoes in New Brunswick.
They couldn’t sell all the potatoes so what they couldn’t sell they threw into the ocean.
I remember thinking now why would they do that when there are so many hungry people who need food and
if they went into the field to steal the potatoes, they’d be put in jail.
Those potatoes could have been donated but the farmers said they work hard and expect to be paid for their efforts.
No one should get something for nothing. I mean, no hungry person came to help them farm the potatoes and next
year if the weather goes bad and they have a bad crop
No one is going to help them save their farm either.
Besides who was going to pay for the shipping costs and the distribution costs? And how would the potatoes survive the journey and not rot before they got to their destination.
And then people would expect these potatoes to keep coming because they need to eat every day.
Its cruel to keep them alive and make more babies when the end looked very bleak for them.
Of course the answer was simple. If the farmers do a good deed the good deed needed to be carried forward by trucks, ships, personnel, refrigeration etc…
The idea is good and truly charitable but the end result turns out no one wants to do something for nothing and very little gets to where it's needed to go.
Skimming off the top was the problem and the top was getting lower down to the bottom each time and then outright stolen within reach of the hungry.
This was also the time when we had people screaming about a world over population explosion. (1967)
New groups popped up to teach birth control, religious groups popped up against birth control, and against receiving anything from Christians.
The Muslims said we will feed you but you must become Muslim first. Bad Muslims get tortured, stoned.
A hungry world is an angry world
“Nov 2009it was stated that 923 million people in the world faced hunger forcing the UN to hold conferences to try to resolve in November, Rome , Italy.
With over 923 million hungry people in the world, the food and agricultural crisis currently underway in many parts of the world will only become bigger and ever more encompassing. This is the warning from the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) that has urgently called on the international community to help curb the world's next big crisis: food scarcity.
Drastic food and gas price increases, coupled with agricultural shortfalls due to climate disasters, and the more recent global financial crisis, are factors that have triggered an unprecedented food emergency in 36 countries in Africa, Asia and South America. These new challenges threaten sustainable food security worldwide.
The urgency to tackle such issues and put an end to hunger in the world spurred member countries of the United Nation's Food and Agriculture Organization to hold a special conference from November 18 to 22 in Rome, Italy.
In an inaugural speech on the first day of the conference, FAO Director-General Jacques Diouf stated that the food crisis in 2007 that was caused by higher commodity prices further deteriorated the world food situation, creating 75 million more hungry people across the globe. In light of unprecedented global population growth, Diouf said the world needed to double food production by 2050 in order to feed an estimated population of nine billion people, compared to today's 6.6 billion.Recent surges in food, fertilizer and gas prices have put added pressure on agricultural output, making it difficult for the world's farmers to increase, or even maintain, current food supply levels. According to Diouf, the more recent financial and economic crisis has eclipsed the mounting food crisis as national governments have been concentrating on tackling tumbling stock markets and ailing banks, rather than focusing on curbing escalating hunger levels. “The food crisis requires the same level of attention. It has economic, social and ethical ramifications, but is also clearly a threat to world peace and security”, Diouf stated. FAO's goal of eradicating hunger from the world requires urgent action not only for ethical reasons, but for socio-political ones too. Because when people are hungry, they get more aggressive. Concluding his speech, Diouf underlined that a world “in which 1,340 billion US dollars are spent each year on armaments; and more than 3 000 billion US dollars could be found in just a few weeks in an attempt to stifle the world financial crisis”, could surely amass the funds needed to eradicate world hunger and ensure the most fundamental human right: the right to food. “
Over the years, the problems grow bigger. Accusations are thrown right left and center. One helps, another comes and destroys.
All of a sudden everyone is fighting to help the hungry and still millions are dying every day and more are being born to suffer death.
What is the answer? A New World Order? Well it looks like it's going in that direction but which order will replace the old one?
A New Order didn’t work for Russia and we see how the Chinese still suffer with human rights issues. We see how the Muslim world is today. Nothing good there. What do they get in return for food?
We see how this planet continues to over populate and even encouraged to do so in spite of the prospect of every one dying due to lack of food and water.
The people /countries who try to offer answers and help the most to keep people free and with dignity, are growing smaller in number every year as problems, mostly related to self interest and selfishness increases. The more we try to keep our lands clean the more they will be in demand by others with money and money will not be made in clean lands because no industry can exist there. So the local people will become service people with low wages while taxes continue to increase and /or will have to leave to make money elsewhere so they can enjoy having their families live in clean lands.
I hate to think to where we are all headed if the political situation changes and the wrong man wins.Nietzche comes to mind. The sequence of eating to live or living to eat is not at issue anymore. What is at issue is our right to eat ……and live.
The issues of the self, self reliance, freedom and human rights are in jeopardy of being destroyed for no good reason. Man will no longer decide what he will eat, where he will live or how.
The solutions to world hunger are easy enough..............stop breeding. Practice responsible behavior.
Kids ask why do I need to study History, math etc…
I will never use it.
To live in a free society, means someone down the line, obtained these rights for you to live free.
These were thinking people.
Philosophers, historians, clergy, scientists, who obtained positions because of effort and brilliance.
We cherish, read, compare and study their works throughout time because they are not fads
like rap, the jerk, and the mini skirt.lol
This is brilliance that will remain universal till the end of time.
We obtained words like freedom, democracy, human rights, and raise our children to believe, they are entitled to these things.
Yet every day, because we are not vigilant, we lose these rights bit by bit and sell our children into slavery.
Man is no longer king of his castle.
He is sold before he is born.
The democracy we so value, is corrupt.
People do not vote for the man, the issues and principles he represents.
He is afraid to tell you who he truly is and what his beliefs are.
If he is afraid to tell you he is against drugs, prostitution, abortion and all the other conservative
things that are good for people and if he is afraid to face his people honestly, he is not a leader.
If he tells you like Paul Martin did, tell me what you want I’ll give you all of the above,
This is also not a leader. A man selling his soul for a vote and stands for nothing means
he can’t be trusted to represent the country nor lead his constituents to a good life.
The elected man today runs to buy his votes from people, in return for a pension and an easy life,to
sit and drink tea and crumpets with others like him, signing pieces of meaningless
paperwork, shaking hands, kissing, collecting Nobel Peace Prizes (like Arafat did) while the tax paper pays and pays and pays and still sits in a sinking mud hole.
Our country was built on beliefs in good work ethics. Work hard, save and
then you will have something.
Today man works hard and government, banks, your neighbor next door, come in, study you and say
Ok we can get something here.
Once a kitty is built they say, ok, we can give ourselves something here.
We don’t need to sell them a car. We don’t need to sell them a house. We don’t need to sell shoes that will last 50 years or strong material for coats. We'll pretend we are selling them a car (greedy people like leases.)We'll pretend to sell them a home, but in actuality we will sell them interest and then move em on out and let the next guy live there a while.
We don’t need cures for diseases(cures don't pay as much as medicine especially medicine which results in more diseases) and now because of budget cuts, we don’t even need to deal with discrimination issues like age because hospitals are like Caesars. Patients are at their financial mercy. If Caesar puts his thumbs up you live. If Caesar puts his thumb down, you die.No one asks you anymore if you want to live or die.So you are no longer an individual with rights and freedoms except in theory. Non vigilance cancels out your rights as a people.Everything our brilliant forefathers and soldiers fought for, is gone.
And people….instead of working, to raise brilliance and thinking people, feel we have our freedom and we have people
we elect democratically so it should be fine. We believe in the system.
All Systems require vigilence.
Systems require brilliance. They require thinking people, who have brilliance. They require leaders, heroes, people who care.People who are not afraid to take a stand to promote the health and welfare of a society, to preserve the species.
If we keep giving and giving, government, banks, lawyers etc.. become so strong, they can draw write ups, any which way they want, and we have no proof of anything they say or present to us is true. There are so many places to hide truth and money.
No one today knows where our money is going nor to whom because no one is accountable for our money.Government and banks never lose. They are like Casinos, designed to win while the people supplying them, are given dreams to pay for, that never come true.
The reason our system is failing today, is because unlike the brilliant men who fought to free people,
We fight to enslave them.
We introduce meaningless words like Human Rights that are used by criminals for enhancing criminal behavior.
We introduce Democracy, which is used against us from the inside to destroy nations.
We reject the Christian beliefs and behavior on which free countries were established, cause some told us religion is the opiate of the people.
People don’t just get drugged on religion. They get drugged on all kind of propaganda.Today people are drugged on media and entertainment and meaningless words like freedom and individualism.
You show people you are an individual by tattooing your body and before you know it every one is tattooing.
When one person does it, it's individual, when 5000 people do it, it's not.
No one sees the difference. To be an individual today, means to be someone who can say NO! because this is not a word in our vocabulary anymore.
Simple laws, which keep the society clean, no one wants today.
No one sees that such things as tattooing loses you individualism, no one sees how lifestyle can affect your freedom
when your own body begins to enslave you as a result. They just see that I am free to say I want something and because of Human Rights and Democracy no one can deny me.
What we are back to, is Adam and Eve in paradise, who say to God, I have Human Rights, I don't need to listen to you and look where this has got us? Into a world of war and hell.
So man in the end, is not trained to think.
We are not thinkers and this is going to lose us our country, our freedom, and even our lives.
.We cannot place value into anything, not even our children, without simple ethics and morals that men of brilliance who studied, believed necessary for us to survive as a species.
So man has to be careful in what he believes in and ask himself for example, why this Bible was written warning us that we are sheep amidst the wolves?
We need to ask ourselves why do we study history, philosophy, law, math astronomy etc…
We are less brilliant than our fore Fathers were. We are not honorable men and we are hiring men to lead us, that are even less so.
So now when children ask you why do we need to study, the answer is, you need to study so you can think, to be able to survive.
Today it's not questions of freedom and individualism, which don't exist, but issues of survival.
We were much safer in God's garden, naked and free, than the path we chose for ourselves to govern.
Last night my son and I had quality time together. We passed the football and I found I still had it. lol During this time we again got onto the subject of rap. My son admires Tupac. He got me a link and we sat down and listened to his interview with a reporter when he was 17 years old.
I was impressed. I told my son, Tupac's views were no different than my own. Then my son showed me a written version of the young man's rap. It was clean, no swearing, no abuse of women. He basically just really tried to get kids to do the right thing.
It became confusing.
I told my son something is missing. There must be more to this story. He must be involved in either drugs, guns or gangs. My son said no but then, I found out the boy's Mom was a Black Panther. Then it all clicked together. Going back in time, this was a time when the USA was involved in a Cold War with the USSR and Cuba. Talking to a communist, let alone being one, was enough to put you in jail. The US had serious problems. The Black Panthers was a serious group to contend with, fighting for black rights and communism. Malcolm X was a communist revolutionary. His Mom was raped by a white man and he hated white people so he changed his last name by putting an X behind Malcolm. Malcolm X and the Black Panthers were involved with each other. Malcolm X was working towards breaking up the US into two countries, black and white.
Anyway. Tupac said his Mom could not get a good job because of her Black Panther background. It haunted her wherever she went, so they had to live in poor rough areas and he didn't like it. It seems his Mom groomed him very well because he was a well spoken young man.
In California he reformed the Black Panther's. I think this was where he went wrong. No one wants the rehashing of this period in time. You need to work inside the system, like Obama, not outside. The Lenin ideology did not work.
I told my son, first it takes half your life to study and learn before you find a voice to have an opinion worth airing. Second, you can be an entertainer or politician or a revolutionary. Third -The first two ....ahhh .....people may or may not like uniting but a revolutionary .......is a whole new ball game. Revolutionaries usually stay clear of the public. They are more like Bin Laden, hidden, hated and hunted. My son admitted to Tupoc being a revolutionary. I asked him how having views people all agree on, made him a revolutionary? Well now we get back into the Black Panthers. My son said this group was not a big part of his life, he was a kid. I told him that may be so, but his Mother was and no one knows how deep he was involved. Obviously enough to step on a few toes. My son said his death was a random drive by shooting but I have to question this.
We left the conversation with me saying it was too bad Tupac ended up the way he did. He could have made his money and done something good with it, not just for black people but white people as well and why not even for the world? He had what it took had he not got involved in something which had nothing to do with him or his life. The Black Panthers was his Mother's time and since then, a lot of things have changed. People are tired of fighting. Every one wants peace.
This is Hastings Street today, in Vancouver. This is why our Election this year is important.
We need a strong economy so these people can be helped and new people don't end up here. The Green Party supports Legalization of pot as it seems so does the NDP. It doesn't stop there.
People today are grasping at straws. They yearn for something good to happen.
They are tired of lies, of taxes, of imbalance, of being led by the nose by banks, companies, false leaders and prophets.
They are tired of being pushed into the myth that Chaos is good because it creates more jobs. There is just too many people hurt by chaos and so how is this change..... for the better?
Technology is good but it forces you into a faster lifestyle which doesn't give you time to think or reflect on where you are going or what the consequences of your decisions will be or even to pace yourself. The days go by faster, the nights are not long enough.
Tired, strung out, you look for peace. There is no more fight left in you, no struggling because people are worn out by constant, unending turbulence, from and by those, who will not take NO for an answer. Common sense has flown out the window.
You can still teach puppies NO but you can't teach your children or the world NO.
They have taken that right away from you, as we have taken it away from God.
The moment they go to school, you lose your children. They go in with bright eyes, full of confidence and hope and promise and come out dazed, confused, arrogant, disenchanted. Their dreams are ripped out from under them, by the very people and system who are there to teach them.
Kids come out fighting, telling you , that you don't understand the world. You don't know how it is? It's all changed they say.
You think........ truth .....out of the mouth of babes. Truth .......that once came out of your mouth as well. lol
Now who told them these lies? And what gives people the right to do that, rob children, of their rights to be children?
People have lived throughout time, and as the old end their lives and die and the new begin, NOTHING in life has changed.
It's just different people ,doing the same things, with different technology.
We still have jelousies, greed, stubbornness, lies, corruption, fraud.
We still have romance, love, hope, inspiration, desire, passion.
We still have mental illness, insanity, disagreements, cruelty, pain, disease, prisons, torture, self torture.
We still have life and death, war. Our blood is and still runs red.
Laws and politics have done nothing to change things.
We try to change things, to make it easier for people but it backfires on us and stays difficult because saying NO and accepting the word NO ... has always been our problem from the days of Adam and Eve. All our efforts to change things and do otherwise, have amounted to nothing and are failing us.
We do not see how many good things we have lost, by making the word NO something we refuse to accept.
Now, instead of having a trained puppy, who understands .......NO, peeing on the floor is wrong, we have every one objecting to NO and saying we will pee on the floor if we want to. No one can stop us. What are you going to do ? Nothing. Because you have no right to.
Nothing has changed. We fight to stop people from beating others and replaced it with people becoming their own worst enemy and beating up on themselves and then still keeping it your problem, yours to carry on your back, as Jesus carried the cross for our sins... but.. you still can't say and accept the word NO.
You can't say NO. Man is born equal. He just refuses to accept that word and angers God and Jesus said ............it's cause we don't understand.
Hope and faith is lost because only God can give you these things and he's being bullied out of existence, blamed for the world's problems.
No one sees, it's not God who is to be blamed, it's our interpretation of him. It's our interpretation of all the words in our vocabulary.
How can we ALL be children of God, and then say he is taking sides, making one go against the other? God said NO to both Adam and Eve which means ,Adam and Eve were equal in his eyes. Is Adam and Eve equal in our eyes?
Man's Laws have hidden the meaning of Common sense but hope and faith and common sense isn't lost. We are. These words are still there, if you look for them and want them bad enough .....but along with them, comes the word NO.
Nothing changes in life.
We want what we have lost, we search for it and will continue to search but God has made it clear, that You still can't say NO ....to God. Jesus bought us time to learn what the meaning of the word is, so we can accept it.
AND WHAT IS GOD? He is love and peace and He is in every one of us.
Hope and Faith, Love and Peace is found in understanding the meaning of the word NO and having trust and the good will to believe in it.
We teach a puppy the word NO and the puppy has love and good will, trust and it wants to be your friend, enough to want to please you and pee outside.
But people????? God tries to teach them NO, but people are like wild undomesticated animals.
Every day we pass laws saying wild animals cannot be trained AND HAVE NO PLACE IN CITIES . They can't be brought into the house because they will always pee on the floor.
They will turn on you because they will not take NO for an answer. Why.... because they don't understand what it means. How does this make wild animals different from mankind?
How can we ask God to invite us into his house, when we refuse to invite them who will not take NO for an answer, into our own?
We all know the 10 Commandments which teach us the word NO.
So we have to ask ourselves a question.
Who is better and smarter and more deserving of God and heaven and peace and love and of answers to all our questions, hopes and dreams?
Man........ or dog?
Who should God open his doors to?
We alienate him today because we know his doors will be closed. Why?
In BC we are having a provincial election and it is quite an upsetting one for me.
I heard on the news that the NDP and the Green Party are saying they have enough support to legalize pot.
Now why is it upsetting? I am a Mother and I have kids out there.
For one thing, if the young people support this, it is a very bad sign. It means our young people are the walking dead. Young people are supposed to be vibrant, clear eyed, happy, future oriented people with lots to live for and instead they already gave up before they even began living.
It means this Province doesn’t know right from wrong.
The Province cannot distinguish between good and evil.
The Province doesn’t care about making good judgement decisions which means catastrophe and death to many people on the street.
It means a lot more angry people, will be walking and driving our city streets, It means the Province will have more hungry, unemployed, homeless and sick to contend with and support. And the list goes on.
The only ones to gain, will be the people running drug sales, police, army and cemetaries.
Every one else will have to fork up to support the walking dead because they will be the next NDP and Green targets. As it is most of your paycheck is going to support social issues. How much support do they need before we all do?
When you can’t or refuse to make money on your own, you look into the pockets of people who worked to have a little for their old age, since there is no one to help there there either thanks to government. and social services bent on destroying families.
This is not right. Something totally wrong is going on here and we should be wary of Pandora.
Pandora is back in town and she is not here to help us. There is more to life than sex, work and paying social services for survival.
Otherwise why would people always look up to the sun ?
Is the future and hope sitting in dim lit, smokey dungeons? Isn't this defeating the Green ideology? We complain about cows farting.:) We pass laws against smoking in public places.
Is it right for the NDP to create more misery, just to say they have a more important job to do to keep it at that level?
If people are going to die from pot, cocaine and heroin, what difference does it make to save nature or even pay into social services.? No point to it at all. No one will live long enough to enjoy it.
You die either way. Young people have a lot to do in this world and they should stop clouding their eyes and get to it.
Don't vote for pot. Thats desperation talking. Vote for innovation, business, prosperity, a clean life. Thats why the sun shines. It shines for life!

Blue Spike
I got these Blue Spike flowers yesterday. Couldn't resist when a Lady stopped and told me they spread all over her lawn and I just love that. If you have red tulips on one side and yellow tulips on the other and these beautiful ones in the middle it sure is a beautiful sight to behold.
All species' bulbs should be planted at least 3" (8 cm) deep, in a location where the water can't settle in winter plant bulbs in zones 3 - 9, except for M. latifolium which prefers zones 2 to 5 All species will naturalize extremely easily (i.e. come back year after year and gradually multiply); that is, unless you plant them in completely sunless or swamplike conditions!
Muscari are all-round flowers: they are excellent as cut flowers, when planted in rockgardens, beds, borders, under shrubs, and trees, and can be used for indoor forcing. .
Fishing Jokes ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Four married guys go fishing. After an hour, the following conversation took place. First guy: " You have no idea what I had to do to be able to come out fishing this weekend. I had to promise my wife that I will paint every room in the house next weekend." Second guy: " that's nothing, I had to promise my wife that I will build her a new deck for the pool." Third guy: " Man, you both have it easy! I had to promise my wife that I will remodel the kitchen for her." They continue to fish when they realized that the fourth guy has not said a word. So they asked him. You haven't said anything about what you had to do to be able to come fishing this weekend. " What's the deal?" Fourth guy: " I just set my alarm for 5:30 am. When it went off, I shut off my alarm, gave the wife a nudge and said, " Fishing or Sex" and she said, " Wear a Sweater." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Three blondes are sitting by the side of a river holding fishing poles with the lines in the water. A Game Warden comes up behind them, taps them on the shoulder and says, Excuse me, ladies, I'd like to see your fishing licenses.
We don't have any, replied the first blonde.
Well, if you're going to fish, you need fishing licenses. said the Game Warden.
But officer, replied the second blonde, we aren't fishing. We all have magnets at the end of our lines and we're collecting debris off the bottom of the river.
The Game Warden lifted up all the lines and, sure enough, there were horseshoe magnets tied on the end of each line. Well, I know of no law against it, said the Game Warden, take all the debris you want. And with that, the Game Warden left.
As soon as the Game Warden was out of sight, the three blondes started laughing hysterically. What a dumb Fish Cop, the second blonde said to the other two, doesn't he know that there are steelhead trout in this river?! -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
A man calls home to his wife and says, "Honey I have been asked to go fishing at a big lake up in Canada with my boss and several of his friends. We'll be gone for a week." "This is a good opportunity for me to get that promotion I've been wanting so would you please pack me enough clothes for a week and set out my rod and tackle box. We're leaving from the office and I will swing by the house topick my things up. Oh Please pack my new blue silk pajamas." The wife thinks this sounds a little fishy but being a good wife she does exactly what her husband asked. The following weekend he comes home a little tired but otherwise looking good. The wife welcomes him home and asks if he caught many fish? He says, "Yes! Lot's of Walleye, some Bluegill, and a few Pike. But why didn't you pack my new blue silk pajamas! like I asked you to do?" The wife replies; "I did, they were in your tackle box."
