I love this old Mitch Miller Song. The melody just cheers you up usually until I got to singin it with different words, which I caught myself doing yesterday.
Oh dear , love to tax you, love to tax you, my dear old voter. lol Now what possessed me to do that? lol
This song is supposed to be the Florida State Song, however some of the old verse was seen as racist some what, since it referred to plantations where black people worked.
But the melody is catchy and I guess suitable to make many a verse to go along with it having nothing to do with politics. -------------------------------------------
Now this is mans' best friend doing his job. Good Dogs Very GOOD Dogs. :)
Betsy - I used to love to sing, especially with Mario Lanza. I was quite the opera singer back then. lol Now I was thinking how much taxes we pay. They tax your salary and then your home and your groceries and entertainment. By the time you are done calculating you see people being taxed one taxed things whereby 85% of everything goes in taxes and now they are taxing the gas another 2 cents for transit payments. So I sang my song and this melody came out. lol
George - I never saw such brazen dogs lol one day their luck will run out. Swanee I looked up and this is what they said about it. I like to look things up to see what they all meant at the time.
Wow that second video, never heard or seen anything like it! Thanks for all of your support and encouragement! I have been assured by the doctors and all the research I am doing that I have the best treatment available right now. Anything too outside the norm and you know they won't approve or pay for any of it... so I'll keep eating well and exercising and will let them cut the tumor out so that I don't have so much of it running around inside my body :) There are women flying across the country to try and get the very drug I have and I feel lucky it just fell into my lap!! And its working on the most aggressive parts of the cancer so that is good too!
Take care Vic! Thanks again... love and hugs to you!

haha...do you sing in the kitchen using your wooden spoon for a microphone like I do? :)
The video of the dog biting the shark is amazing.
I went to Florida State, and I never heard Swanee associated with the school.
Betsy - I used to love to sing, especially with Mario Lanza. I was quite the opera singer back then. lol
