Gods and Monsters

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPPFt9-OkxE&feature=related

This is an interesting video whereby people found ancient caves with ancient cities, artifacts and libraries leading to a belief in the existence of another people.
So many things we don't know about our own planet while searching the heavens for answers with respect to who we are , where we came from, how  we ended up here?

Goes back to Zoroasterinism , in a religion known as Magianism.
Zoroaster was a prophet otherwise known as Zarathustra, from before the 6th century BCE, from an area
in the eastern part of ancient Greater Iran. This religion believed in an all , uncreated, good creator, Ahura Mazda, who did not promote evil.

A mortal is supposed to participate in the fight between good and evil. The 4th day after death, the soul reunites with the guardian spirit, where its' experiences of life is collected to continue the battle in the spiritual world.

This is an interesting video about civilizations we know nothing about.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did

Jumping Jacks

The White Rock Pier is famous in White Rock, BC
It is a small town and the shoreline with the train track
is where all the tourists come to enjoy a place that has a little bit of everything.
The view is spectacular, sitting across the street at the cafes and ice creme
parlers or even shopping for that special little outfit or souvenir to bring back home.
The place is always packed with people.
The famous Boat House, is not a place to miss.
It has a roof veranda to enjoy the view AND smells coming from the grilled
hamburgers make your mouth water.
There is an art museum and people used to crab from the pier.

You could stand and watch as the little guys would crawl in sideways to grab morsels
of fish, just to be lifted out of the water to be measured.
At the very end of the pier, kids still come to jump off to stay cool because it's deep enough.

Some people even park their boats there.
Last time My son said a big fish followed him around.
I am wondering if it was one of those harmless sharks or maybe
a big salmon or even a seal.

When he was little,we were just out at the top middle of the picture, where its about 400 feet deep.
We called it the big wide blue,
when we saw killer whales swim by our boat.
You never know what you will see or when in these parts.

Where you see land on the left hand side, this is Blaine on the US side.
It's so close.

The Semiahmoo First Nation, a Coast Salish sub group, has a community and
offices located on 312 acres of Indian Reserve, just south of White Rock
near the US border.

People keep coming in droves to White Rock to enjoy a little bit of the natural, with a little bit
of modern living.

Top of the Crescent

Driving along the shore line we come across many gems and today I came across this one.
It was just sitting there minding its' own business, looking so pretty, at the Crescent Beach Marina, surrounded
by many boats or lack there of, as they were all in the water somewhere.
Yup! it was a gorgeous day!
The Beaches were full of people.
It was a long awaited fun day for families.
No rain, no clouds, beautiful water, gorgeous girls
and many young hunks for old gals like me to admire and remember my youth.
Hunks were a bit different back then
or maybe they weren't.
I was more into dogs back then lol
Totally hopeless, my friends said. lol

Youth is happy go lucky, waking up to look forward to a full life ahead of them.
For them it's a new beginning to flaunt
in Olympic games such as those held in England.
We, from the older generation, look forward to waking up to a little of the past
especially when you find it sitting proud like this little darling in the picture.
Ahhhhh!
Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end.
and
I think we were right.:)

Leap Frog

A bit of Louis Armstrong Leap frog Nostalgia to exercise with, on these lazy, hazy days of summer.

Some of you may not have such good weather but this music is bound to lift up your spirits as
nothing is so lively as a trumpet band.
Louis Armstrong always puts a smile on my face.
He came from New Orleans, Louisiana a 1901, 4th of July,
success story. He played jazz till 1971, when he passed away.

"The woman he loved
Lived in Cincinatti and she wouldn't write to him.
She was a tailor made gal and had her feet on the ground.
She was no hand me down.
He had a gal he loved.
With a mouth full of gold.
Every time she kissed him it made his blood run cold.
When he had money to spend, every time he left home,
he had a brand new friend."

Armstrong was of poor upbringing and at times had to survive on left over restaurant food and a paper route. He also hauled coal to Storyville and worked for a Jewish family with a junk hauling business. They treated him like a son.
Louis loved music and listened to bands that played in brothels.
He went to Fisk school but dropped out at 11 to sing with a quartet of boys on the street for money.
This got him into trouble so he was happy when Bunk Johnson picked him up and taught him how to play the trumpet and it changed everything in his life.

Armstrong said:
Every time he closed his eyes playing his trumpet, he'd look right in the heart of good ol New Orleans.
He sure loved his town and his music showed it.
I hope I could visit New Orleans one day. They must commemorate Louis Armstrong every where out there and it would be nice to learn more about him.
 Maybe one day.

ANOTHER LEAP FROG to the past.

I often wondered how people did things way back when.
In Kamloops, I found a product called dry shampoo.
I haven't seen this in years.
For what ever reason, if shampoo is not the answer,
How would you wash your hair?
Well I found a blog with the answer.
http://1greengeneration.elementsintime.com/?p=365

Recipe #1: The Paste Method

1. In a small dish or ramekin, mix 2T of baking soda with a couple of tablespoons of warm water, until it forms a thick paste. Add more water as needed – it should be a bit thinner than toothpaste. (Note: I have medium-length hair, so you may need to adjust the amount of baking soda if you have shorter or longer hair.)

2. Taking the paste into your hand, massage it into your dry scalp. Massage your scalp all over, for at least 30 seconds. (This will probably feel pretty good!)

3. Leave on your hair for a minute or two. Then rinse well.

4. In an old (and well rinsed) shampoo bottle, mix 1 part Apple Cider Vinegar to 4 parts Water. You can add essential oils or herbs if you like.

5. Coat your scalp and hair with the vinegar, and allow to sit for at least 30 seconds.

6. You can either rinse or leave it in your hair. (I rinse.)

Recipe #2: The Simple Method

There are two reasons why I switched to this recipe: 1. The paste idea was a bit messy for my taste, and 2. The apple cider vinegar smelled too strong for me. I’m much happier with this version!

1. Use an old shampoo bottle (well-rinsed) or a squeeze bottle of some variety (I reused one we’d bought from a local kitchen supply store). Mix 1 part aluminum-free baking soda to 3 parts Water. Each time you use this solution, shake well to mix.

2. Squeeze the baking soda solution onto your dry scalp, then massage your scalp for several seconds.

3. Leave in for 1-3 minutes, and rinse completely.

4. In an old shampoo bottle (well-rinsed) or a squeeze bottle, mix 1 part Organic White Vinegar to 4 parts Water. You can add essential oils or herbs if you like – I add 1 cinnamon stick (which lasts through several bottles of mixture) and 1/2 t vanilla. This masks the vinegar smell, and leaves your hair smelling spicy and lovely.

5. Leave on hair for several seconds, then rinse.

Interesting.

Nostalgia A Legacy of a Queen and her Horses.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VofDykBJhKE&feature=related

Queen Elizabeth has been a wonderful Queen for Canadians to look up to. My grand parents loved her and her Mom.  I think she will be truly missed as she has come to mean more than just Englands' Head of State.
We watched her share herself and her family with the world .
.We all loved watching William grow and marry a lovely bride who he was gracious enough to share with the world, learning from his grand mother, what it entails to be a true king.

This is an amazing video and I don't know how I found it because it has a lot in it and is not bits and pieces.
The horses are beautiful. They perform so well and it would be hard to choose which one of them is the nicest because they all have such beautiful trusting eyes.
You can see the soul from these proud, elegant, loyal eyes, in a powerful body, with superb bone structure.
as they put on their best performance.
No matter where she goes, the Queens' love is seen through the eyes of these magnificent steeds.

Horses are spiritual creatures. You never get tired of watching them from the smallest to the biggest , from the oldest to the youngest. They love to be entertained and to entertain in return putting their best hoof forward.
The Queen  began her reign as a young Princess, fresh, innocent and full of good will. The Queens' Diamond Jubilee left her fighting tears to see the beloved legacy she worked so hard for and now appreciated  by people who travelled from far and wide to make this day stupendous for her.
She is recognized world wide, for her unselfish service, asking nothing in return.

This video is put together so well, involving excellence from so many people.
Such a pleasure to watch.

God Bless the Queen.

Amazing Grace Like Never Before with Andre Rieu

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GInf0lXsyKY

You Don't have to be English or Scottish to love this !
What an Amazing performance!!
It was held at De Arena in Amsterdam, 2009 with Andre Rieu.
The JSO Bagpipe Band is indeed superb and up until now I never knew women played the bagpipes.

People can be Irish on St Patties Day Scottish another day, proud Americans,
Canadians, standing for Liberty and freedom under God.
Amazing Grace was written by an English Clergy man John Newton in 1779.

It is a message that forgiveness and redemption are possible regardless
of the sins people commit and
that the soul can be delivered from despair through the mercy of God.

Newton understood the meaning of Amazing Grace from personal experience
after he left the the Royal Navy and became involved in the slave trade.
His ship was battered by a tremendous storm which so frightened him,
he called out to God for Mercy. It is here, God touched him and he
was spiritually converted into a man of God.

Amazing Grace has always been one of my favorite hymns.
The story is in this video

Precious

A quick snap of this camera shy cat.
Precious is her own girl
She likes pats if you can catch her.
She was much friendlier until we  spayed her and after that
she never trusted anyone to hold her for very long.
She just doesn't like it.
She loved her Tatty. He was her man and she still hasn't forgotten him.
Real loyal girl she is.
My son found her down town, put her in his pocket and brought her home.
He set her up in the upstairs bathroom which only he used for the most part, and it took a whole week before the rest of the family found out she was there.
The last thing we needed was another animal in the house. lol

It's funny. Even in the animal world strange things occur.
One would think she'd make new friends after a while but no.
She tolerates the dogs and coons and doesn't fear them but she is no push over.
Let me be and mind your own business.
Precious loves her freedom and although she is always around the house and comes in to eat,she is not the kind of girl who would come and rub against you or lick you
or enjoy a good lazy tummy rub.
She'll sit waiting for a chance to get away.
Then she'll sit on her favorite post watching the birds, enjoying the sunlight and the moon, at night.
What a strange cat.

East West North - The Rush is On.

Sorry guys. I try to post comments on those with the
"Prove you are not a robot" and it doesn't work for me
I can't hear the words.
I wish they would put the words to copy instead.
It seems like a better option.
 ---------------------------------------
Kelowna is known for its' wonderful cuisine and the huge Okanagan Lake.
It is going west of the Pacific Ocean. lol
It is an area full of peaches stores camping hotels music boating.
You can rent a house boat and live on the lake and enjoy dreams surrounded by water.
They have childrens camps here, wine tasting tours.

They say Kelowna is for the young at heart but so many old people come and live here.
It has the best weather for old bones although winter brings more snow than what we have in Delta,BC

After our Kamloop and Kelowna visit the weather changed and became cloudy and cooler.
Hope was very windy in between the tall mountains but Merritt was still boiling hot.
Today, the 22nd of July, we didn't have to use the fans.
It was pleasant outside and sunny but not scorching.
Looks like summer is only two weeks and the two weeks changed the time table which is usually
the last two weeks of July and August.

We only had a bit of rain in the Vancouver area but Kelowna and Kamloops apparently had a bad windstorm
which took out their electricity. We always think the Interior is safer as the coast is always
at risk of having a tsunami, since we have a major fault line on the ocean side of Vancouver Island.
You can always tell something is going on by the beautiful rocks you find along the shore line, spat up by the ocean waves.
OK. It would have to flood all of Vancouver Island before it comes here but the Straight of Georgia is very deep and if I am not mistaken the fault line rises towards the coast of the outside Pacific side of the island so we could have a major disaster zone here if nature decides to kick butt.
But what a thrill if one could scuba dive down and explore before all this happens.

Our newest bridge The Fraser, can take about a .7 magnitude earthquake, maybe a bit more.
We are overdue for the BIG ONE here.
Maybe Japan took the brunt of it.We had a few rumblings but hardly noticed.
Japan, didn't have much luck these last few years.
In any event Princeton had an earthquake a few years back which was un nerving and it's way in the interior.
We have nothing to say when it comes to nature out here and this is why people are upset about the pipeline they want to build in a very delicate nature area here in BC. We just don't know what
is going to happen in the near future.

If the seismometer operators don't advise, way in advance ,
one is coming, then a pipe line can't be closed or emptied on time and we just can't take the risk
every one will do the right thing if and when the time comes. But then, in a worst scenario, would it make a difference?
I guess every one has their own problems with weather problems where they live and no matter how much you prepare, you are never really ready.
Here, I try to keep my car with basics. Water , tent, blankets etc... but its difficult to cross borders
with food because the US is so particular. Every one who lives along the coast should have their cars ready to move in cases of emergency but it will never happen.
The traffic alone would stop many from leaving.

We can still go further west from Vancouver  to the Island and east far enough but not far enough to
escape, even past the Chilliwack mountains. The only other option is North...North to Alaska and another rush will be on, except not for Gold. lol

-------------------------------------------------------------------
According to a chemist, why is the world so diverse?
Because it's made up of alkynes of people

Good Luck Huntin.

Proof God Exists

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7G6DgP9Zfg&feature=related

Well we will never really know if God exists and must rely on faith that he does.
With the Quantum and String Theory discussed in NOVA and NOVA on You Tube, it becomes almost over whelming to the point of unconsciousness to grasp it all. But then surely.....there is something out there, bigger than our little brains could ever understand or muster.

I know I had a dream where I wanted to meet with God. They put me in this elevator and I went up and up and passed out. I never did get to him. He was so far away and only he could see and know me. Not the other way round.I'd have to die a thousand deaths to reach him and we are told we only have three chances to do it right so..... I didn't need String Theory or Quantum Physics to understand this. In fact, reading up on all these new mathematical proofs scientists need to answer questions, to the answer to everything, I have to laugh. I think man was born with inbuilt answers. He knows, deep inside his soul, all the answers. He knows he can't handle the answers and depends on God. A name we give to something we don't understand or ever will understand. That's why we need faith, because it's just too big for us.

So instead, we have to lighten it all up and rely on jokes. God doesn't really care, who we are. We are all the same to him. People, men, a human race and how we survive here, between ourselves on this planet, is what will speak to him. He knows man wants to be free through what happened to Adam and Eve. He would not impose anything other, upon mankind. If he doesn't, then why does man do it to man?

If you don't let people learn through life and living, then how are they to learn? When it comes to respect,it means also to respect those who do not respect others. lol Understand that one.

The things we find so important, like clothes, sex, marriage, adultery, homosexuality etc...to him, are inconsequential . They are important only to man and how he lives and survives between mankind. It is always good to be Conservative where respect is concerned. That much, time has taught us.

What God says to do in the 10 Commandments, is in our best interest, not for him, as he gave us a brain and said: Use it to do the right thing. In case you are confused, this is the right thing. The 10 Commandments are not laws. They are just a guide to the truth of survival. No matter how much we fight, we see, in the end that God is right. He is always right with his basic 10 Commandments. We live in orderly chaos. Order, has to exist somewhere or material things suffer.

Wood, to last, must be kept either alive or dry and preserved. For man, another set of order exists for survival. Obey it and physical  life is prolonged. Disobey it and physical life shortens. In the end we have no choice. In the end, we have to depend on something more powerful and understanding and smart, to pull us out of physical self destruction. Man loves his physical life. He hates to leave it in spite of all the heart aches.
To ensure God understands this, we have to show we are worthy.

Have a good one

On hearing that her elderly grandfather had just passed away, Susan went straight to her grandparent's house to visit her 95-year-old grandmother and comfort her. When she asked how her grandfather had died, her grandmother replied, "He had a heart attack while we were making love on Sunday morning." Horrified, Susan told her grandmother that two people nearly 100 years old having sex would surely be asking for trouble. "Oh no, my dear," replied granny. "Many years ago, realizing our advanced age, we figured out the best time to do it was when the church bells would start to ring. It was just the right rhythm. Nice and slow and even. Nothing too strenuous, simply in on the Ding, and out on the Dong." She paused, wiped away a tear and then continued, "and if that damned ice cream truck hadn't come along, he'd still be alive today ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A little girl was sitting on her grandfather's lap as he read her a bedtime story. From time to time she would take her eyes off the book and reach up to touch his wrinkled cheek. She was alternately stroking her own cheek, then his again. Finally, she spoke up, "Grandpa, did God make you?" "Yes, sweetheart," he answered, "God made me a long time ago. "Grandpa, did God make me too?" "Yes, indeed, honey," he said, "God made you just a little while ago." Feeling their respective faces again, she observed, "God's getting better at it, isn't he?"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This guy walks into a bar in Alabama and orders a white wine spritzer. Everybody sitting around the bar looks up, surprised, and the bartender looks around and says: "You ain't from around here, are ya... where ya from, boy?" The guy says, "I'm from Iowa." The bartender asks, "What th' sam hill ya do in Iowa?" The guy responds, "I'm a taxidermist." The bartender asks, "A taxidermist... now just what th' sam hill is a taxidermist?" The guy says, "I mount animals." The bartender grins and shouts out to the whole bar, "It's OK boys, he's one of us!"
 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A little girl walks into a pet shop and asks in the sweetest little lisp: "Excuthe me, mithter, do you keep wittle wabbits?" And the shopkeeper gets down on his knees, so that he's on her level, and asks: "Do you want a wittle white wabby or a soft and fuwwy black wabby or maybe one like that cute wittle brown wabby over there?" She in turn puts her hands on her knees, leans forward and says in a quiet voice: "I don't fink my pyfon really gives a shit!" _

A kindergarten teacher had a pupil tell her he had found a frog. She inquired as to whether it was alive or dead. "Dead," she was informed. "How do you know?" she asked. "Because I pissed in his ear," said the child, innocently. "You did WHAT?!?" squealed the teacher in surprise. "You know," explained the boy, "I leaned over and went 'Pssst' and he didn't move."

That's about it folks!!!

Marching Like Slaves, To Another Day

This is empowering!
Makes life seem easy.
There is really,
nothing we can't do.
We just have to set our minds on it, to do it.
:)

 Aunty PFFFFT! She Speaks

Sometimes I feel like throwing in the towel. But you know what that means.... More laundry.

I'm getting old. I got up and felt chest pains I looked down and saw I was standing on my nipples.

I cook using the 4 food groups: Canned, boxed, bagged and frozen.

Starting tomorrow, whatever life throws at me, I'll duck, so it hits some one else.
(lol sneaky)

A wise man once said........ I don't know.
Ask a woman.

At my age rolling off the bed is easy.
Getting up off the floor is quite another story.

Marriage is like a deck of cards. In the beginning all you need are diamonds and hearts
In the end you wish you had a club and spade.

When I woke up this morning There were no wrinkles in sight.
The house was spotless The garden lovely and my grumpy bloke looked like Brad Pitt.
I don't think I'll wear glasses again.

Always keep some get well cards on the mantle, so when unexpected
guests show up they will think you've been ill. and unable to clean.

If we were all supposed to pop up, we'd all be sleeping in toasters.

We can't always control who walks into our life but you can control
which window you will throw them out of.

Sometimes people just need a hug.......
with a rope.........
around the neck.......

 Women are NOT MOODY.
We just have days when we are less inclined to put up with your shit.

Ok one of these should have made your day.

 Next time something bothers you,
 just PFFT it. lol

Straw Wood or Bricks

The BIG BAD WOLF is from another era. Watching the news about yesterdays Colorado, act of evil,
and the continuous violence all over the world, I keep thinking... what was wrong with our kids playing cow boys and Indians?
Many parents objected to toy guns being sold to little boys and yet here they are playing violent computer games and watching and listening to unspeakable language and violence, very early in their lives, on TV and the news and even in their places of worship where they are taught to hate, so that when they grow up, life and violence become a type of norm one is desensitized to.
Listening to how children and young adults speak and behave with old people today shows cruelty we never showed in our time when we got spankings from our parents. We never heard of old people being assaulted at buss stops just  for fun, or even people breaking into their houses when they were home to beat them senseless for a few bucks.
People, after a war, have no tears , or cry or react, when they see torture, rape or killing.
It's just something they saw every day for years on end.

You want attention? Do a Superman... Do a violent thing and get it.
Some one hurt you? Do a violent thing and fight back.
People will see you, your power.
However, violent things don't always involve guns.
There are tons of unspeakable ways to kill people, using something we call  ..........
a pen.

Good people?   .......SNAP! .........We will never know who the bad guy is today,
when a pen is used.

It makes what we watched, very innocent, growing up with the likes of John Wayne.
Living with a gun, also meant rules and honor.
You just don't kill people unless they were there to kill you.
Guns were mainly for hunting, as is a knife, a bow and arrow, and even cars.
You can mow down a lot of people with a car.
Guns are nothing but tools.
Today ......we hunt with pens.
Before cow boys, violent acts were attributed to
Lords and Masters of the Universe, Emperors, Caesars,Powerful Men, not the lowly citizen
owned and enslaved and forced to kill  for them.A thumb up or a thumb down could decide
if you lived or died.

All people wanted in those days, was a piece of land to build shelter and to grow crops, to feed their families.
Times haven't changed much there.
Today, most people want homes free of mortgages and with the type of taxes the country collects, all we need, is one or two years of taxes, for government, to pay off all the homes, for all the people.
Free of mortgages, we could then concentrate on things like roads, healthcare, education etc...
But Ney!
No one thinks like this and so people are robbed of their properties every year by the Caesars and Emperors who contribute to suffering which leads to violence, as men struggle to survive,
to make ends meet. The bad part is they don't care what your house is made of Straw Wood or bricks.
They will never live there and don't care if they stand empty rotting.

The BIG BAD WOLF era transformed into the Finance Arena, where it is difficult to know or understand who is doing what. Who is biting who and why?
Makes no difference anymore, if your home is made of straw, wood or stone.
Powerful people are stripped bare, by more powerful people.

Seems the only type POWER  fears, are the poor, who have nothing to lose.
If they fight back, Power will lose and new mini groups will reform, to renew the fight from square one.
It never stops.

Todays' big bad wolf is hungry but not for food. In fact,
I don't think he knows what he is hungry for except to have more and more........
The question is,
how much is too much?
When will POWER break the camels' back?
We see our unhappy children struggling every day.
Children who come home to see unhappy parents.
Children who should be playing and happy with not a care in the world.

People blame guns but guns don't kill .
If we don't have guns, we will have something else, maybe worse, to do what we have to do.
It's the nature of man to fight back when he gets hurt.
People crack.
There is nothing any one can do, when someone has it in his head to kill.
This person will make his own gun if he can't buy it as well as his own bullets.
Just to think, that with all the people owning guns today, we only get a few very bad headlines
like the one we got in Colorado yesterday. The bad case here in Canada was someone using a sword
to cut a head off in a bus.
Knowing about suffering, man begets greed to relieve his mental anguish.

If we could find the true, underlying causes why people fight and kill,
death would not be on the front pages of our newspapers.

We all know what the underlying causes are.
We just don't want to face them because we are all guilty of committing  them,
if only in little ways, with a mighty pen.... mightier than the sword...
 and
 without a gun.

A farmer had five female pigs. Times were hard, so he decided to take them to the county fair and sell them. At the fair, he met another Farmer who
owned five male pigs. After talking a bit, they decided to mate the pigs
 and split everything 50/50.

The farmers lived sixty miles apart. So they agreed to drive thirty miles each,
find a field in which to let the pigs mate. The first morning, the farmer with
the female pigs got up at 5 A.M., loaded the pigs into the family station wagon,
(which was the only vehicle he had) and drove the thirty miles.
While the pigs were mating, he asked the other farmer, "How will I know if they are pregnant?"
The other farmer replied, "If they're lying in the grass tomorrow morning,
they're pregnant. If they're in the mud, they're not."

The next morning the pigs were rolling in the mud. So he hosed them off, loaded them
into the family Station wagon again and proceeded to try again.
This continued each morning for more than a week and both farmers were worn out.

The next morning he was too tired to get out of bed.. He called to his wife,
"Honey, please look outside and tell me whether the pigs are in the
mud or in the grass."
"Neither," yelled his wife, "they're in the station wagon and
one of them is honking the horn".

Have a good one.:)

Life is Poofy

One of the most irritating things in life, when it comes to growing nice grass,
can also become a signature of beauty.
I used to blow at these fairies, so as to let them fly to mysterious lands.
I'd imagine them meeting people in need of a miracle or a wish to come true.
God knows we all need them in one way or another.
I never thought they might ruin someones grass or that someone might even be mad
at me for blowing them onto his property.
This was nature and it was all beautiful.

My Dad once gave me a dandelion remover and it was my job in summer, to stick it into the ground and remove them with the roots by hand.
I often wondered why he did that and now I think it was probably to keep me busy and out of trouble lol
But I did a lot of work in summer.
I would paint the iron staircase winding up to the second floor, I'd stain our rocking swin.
My Dad made it himself so we loved it
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ED0zYuiiwBg/TERBuHb6EhI/AAAAAAAACUE/TrQQA4NWJR0/s1600/doll+swing.jpg
It looked like this one shown in the picture. Those were nice swings to enjoy. I still have the pattern so I may try to make one one day. I am still my Daddy's Girl lol :) xoxoxoxox

No Matter Where You Are

No matter where you are, heaven is at your feet,
if you dare just stop a minute and see it for what it is.
Nothing is more beautiful than to live
 with love in your heart.

Summer
It was so hot...

All the corn on the stalks started popping
 and flying through
the air. The cows thought it was snowing.
 And they froze to death.

 The potatoes cook underground and
all you have to do to have
lunch is to pull one out and add butter,
 salt and pepper.

 Farmers are feeding their chickens
crushed ice to keep them
from laying hard boiled eggs.

the cows are giving evaporated milk.

the trees are whistlin' for the dogs.

Satan decided to take the day off.

Even the sun was looking for some shade!

the birds had to pick up the worms
 with potholders.

I saw a dog chasing a cat and they
were both walkin'..

I saw a fire hydrant begging a dog
to pee on it

Campbell Soup Co. has changed the
 directions on its cans to,
"Just pour and eat."

Water in public swimming pools is
 evaporating so fast that children
are being encouraged to swim in the deep
end and keep ignoring the,
"no peeing" rule.

As if the heat isn't bad enough,
in many parts of the country,
including Pennsylvania, people are
suffering through a persistent
drought, one that has been especially
hard on farmers. Not only
are their crops wilting, some of their
dairy cows are producing
powdered milk. Don't be surprised if
milk cartons in the stores
soon display this label: 2% milk, 98% air.

Summer - It's So Hot!!!

Purity Plus Brains

In life we try to protect ourselves from animals and make so many rules against them.
Then we go into the wild to enjoy what they live in because what we live in is not that great.
So many people leave their meticulous green grass and disinfected houses to live in dirt.
This is exactly what they poo poo animals for making.
Yet the wilderness is much healthier for us and animals keep the lakes pristine.
Like this Osprey Fishing

A first-grade teacher, Ms Brooks, was having trouble with one of her students. The teacher asked, 'Harry, what's your problem?' Harry answered, 'I'm too smart for the 1st grade. My sister is in the 3rd grade and I'm smarter than she is! I think I should be in the 3rd grade too!' Ms.. Brooks had enough. She took Harry to the principal's office. While Harry waited in the outer office, the teacher explained to the principal what the situation was. The principal told Ms. Brooks he would give the boy a test. If he failed to answer any of his questions he was to go back to the 1st grade and behave. She agreed. Harry was brought in and the conditions were explained to him and he agreed to take the test. Principal: 'What is 3 x 3?' Harry: '9.' Principal: 'What is 6 x 6?' Harry: '36.' And so it went with every question the principal thought a 3rd grader should know. The principal looks at Ms. Brooks and tells her, 'I think Harry can go to the 3rd grade' Ms. Brooks says to the principal,'Let me ask him some questions..' The principal and Harry both agreed. Ms.. Brooks asks, 'What does a cow have four of that I have only two of?' Harry, after a moment: 'Legs.' Ms Brooks:'What is in your pants that you have but I do not have?' The principal wondered why would she ask such a question! Harry replied:'Pockets.' Ms. Brooks:'What does a dog do that a man steps into?' Harry: 'Pants.' The principal sat forward with his mouth hanging open. Ms. Brooks:'What goes in hard and pink then comes out soft and sticky?' The principal's eyes opened really wide and before he could stop the answer, Harry replied,'Bubble gum.' Ms. Brooks:'What does a man do standing up, a woman does sitting down and a dog does on three legs?' Harry: 'Shake hands.' The principal was trembling. Ms.. Brooks:'What word starts with an 'F' and ends in 'K' that means a lot of heat and excitement?' Harry: 'Firetruck.' The principal breathed a sigh of relief and told the teacher, 'Put Harry in the fifth-grade, I got the last seven questions wrong... Xoxoxoxoxo

Little Merritt

Merritt is a little town we came across and had to stop there.
It is known as a Country Music Capital and has many working cattle ranches.
It's close to the Nicola River. The Nicola Valley is another beautiful spot to drive through, especially if you go off the highway.
Merritt had a motorcycle festival and boy, lots of nice hogs to see here.

It is no wonder it sports an Electric Vehicle Charging Station for tourists, as part of  the BC plug in BC initiative

It was very hot and dry here but as you left the highway to get into Merritt, they have a very nice rest area to cool off in. Every one stops here. The bus stopped here often with our soccer boys.

We tried to get close to the copper dome to see what it was but with the festival it was hard to do.

Trinity Church
Merritt is still a small place but it has lots of potential to grow into something fantastic

Right now.......it's just a PIECE OF PARADISE!!

BC Ski Fish and Swim

BC, Canada Swim and fish in the day, Ski at night.
We still have snow people! lol

The mountains on the Coquihalla Hwy are amazingly beautiful. You just can't get enough .

The City of Hope is very special and beautiful to see especially for visitors.

It has the old and new kind of life and living style.

Every where you look you see wonderful wood carvings, displayed along city streets and parks and business areas.

This is Hope City Hall.

It has this sign saying Izu and Hope are sister cities.
I don't know why yet lol

As usual we see Canadian Pride in our flags

Here is a big Bear Carving.

Coons climbing a tree.
I have never seen coons before.

The old Cinema.

Birth of Ogopogo
A lake monster reported to live in Okanagan Lake, in British Columbia

Another Bear and some kind of warrior . lol
Beautiful Carving!!
Skirting Hope is a beautiful river at the foot of the mountain.
Hope is another city surrounded by mountains.
I love the name Hope  and it's a nice place to visit because of all the special things to see here.
xoxoxoxoxoxo
P.S. I guess I must be a robot cause I can't get through these words. I can't hear most of them cause they are muffled. Sorry if you don't get any comments from me. :)

Lazy Hazy Summer

As you drive along beautiful BC roads with crystal clear lakes and rippling rivers
You come across chicory. It's a long time since I've seen it around here.
and fields and fields of lush green grasses, an artists paradise.
Along the Coquihalla Hwy. we see small rapid creeks, which dry up in the fall,
being used for river rafting by young people.
It looks like a lot of fun and safe since the creek is not deep.

Every where you see signs of Canadian Pride.

Miles and miles of tree tops overlooking highway barriers, on the other side of which are steep embankments. Nothing one would want to go over.

Another soothing wall painting on a Restaurant sporting sizzling ribs.

The breathtaking views of this beautiful province, is reason enough to scream and yell
at business which tries to destroy it. However the proper infrastructure doesn't follow
the number of people who want to come and live here.
Jobs are the number one problem followed by affordable homes to live in and high costs of living.
It wouldn't take much to destroy this little piece of heaven on earth.

Only to Behold

Every one was taking pictures of this the day after it happened, at the Kamloops Ramada Inn.
Two birds flew into a window and left their mark.
They told us that this happens often as the birds do not see the window.
Then they have to pick up their dead bodies down below.

My husband laughed at my believing the story, saying this was a stencil because it was just too perfect a design
but he was reassured that it was the real thing.
It looks almost angelic and as we were eating the most fabulous of breakfasts, compliments of the hotel,
two more birds just avoided the window.

Kamloops Ramada Inn , I have to say, has a wonderful Chef.
I don't remember ever eating a salad as good as I had here
and the chili prawns were above par.
They heard my husband liked liver and mentioned it when he walked into the roof patio
restaurant. My husband was impressed news traveled so fast.
So he ordered it with mashed potatoes and licked his plate.
Rarely does this happen, where my husband is concerned.

We sat enjoying the fabulous view of the mountain range, enjoying a good glass of Merlot and the company of wonderful people we met up there enjoying what we came up there to see.

The sun set.

This is the place where the two Thompson Rivers meet up,(The north and the south) giving it the name
KAMALOOPA
thus the City name, Kamloops

This is a map of Kamloops

We circled where the Ramada Inn is situated

Kamloops is surrounded by mountain ranges such as this.
There was a forest fire somewhere nearby so the mountain range had a foggy look to it as well as
36degree C heat. Many houses are built atop such humps and I envy the view they must wake up to every morning and be put to sleep to every night.
The locals told us this was the first time in years they had so much rain in spring. Otherwise everything would have looked drier. Can you imagine the mountain breaking down with so many homes atop?

In winter it goes down to minus 30 and they get 3 feet of snow.
This gives Kamloops  the advantage when it comes to tourism because they are in the center of
many things for people to do.
The area has many snow activities in winter as well as horseback riding, swimming,  fishing, camping an art center etc....
The city is large enough to be a modern one with tons of shopping with good buys.
There is a wide mixture of old and new and this really is what makes a good city, when they preserve the old.
The heritage and the nuts and bolts of a city should never be destroyed.
The restaurants have very good food for the fussy clients, many of which are now old but still groovy people.
:)
The streets are full of mopeds, electric motorcycles as well as Harleys.
Harley Davidson is very popular out here.
Many very friendly Native Americans live and work here .

The Pride in our Heritage can be seen everywhere!

They have many churches in Kamloops but I was surprised to find a Catholic Ukrainian one.

While looking for a place to eat they closed the main down town road for a festival, so we didn't get to the main restaurant area because of the parking problem and decided to find another place to eat.

We got to see many beautiful wall murals such as this.

And restaurants such as this.
I love Kamloops!!  :)

Just a Lttle Bit

The love seen between two animals is very touching.
It's a Family.
----------------

A Husband and Wife agreed that anytime they want to have sex, they will call it a PHONE CALL so that the kids will not decode...
One day they had a fight and wife stopped talking to the husband and they were talking to each other thru kids.
The husband said to his son - "Tell your mom that Daddy wants to make a "phone call".
Mother replies: "Tell your dad that the Network is down today".
Dad replies: "Tell your mom that if there is no Network at home, I will go to a Public Phone.
Mother said to her son - "Tell your dad, if he dare go to a Public Phone, I will open a Call Center at home.

Beach Life

Here we see a house surrounded by a wall and in front of it piles of rocks and tree trunks.
Sometimes the waves hit the shore very hard so I guess some one piled up all this stuff to stop it.
It looks very sad that here you have a perfectly good beach and water front property, and it can't be enjoyed properly.

Now why would anyone build these homes so close to the water this way without knowing the problems that would occur.
It's just plain bad planning aimed to make money, without a care in the world about how people are supposed to live there.
It pains me that with all the technology and info out there, within easy reach, people are not trained to think.
Or maybe they are trained to think.
They think, build it bad and you will ensure work for the future by having to do things twice.
Yet the buyer doesn't have that option because repairs are costly.
They repair one thing and break other things so repairs have to continue.
Something like what doctors do today to keep themselves loaded with cash.
Before the hypocratic oath was important and today.....it's what the system says.
The system is the new Nero.
Thumbs up you live.
Thumbs down...you die.
Pretty scary.
Makes all the laws we make inadequate because most of what they do is never spoken of and hidden from the eyes of most people.
What they do, how they do, when they do, to who they do, why they do and if all they do is for the benefit of the patient per se, the normal joe will never know the answer to.
All the normal Joe gets is : "We did all we could."
NOT.
It may even come to the point where the doctors can gang up on you and take away your rights to make a decision for your loved one.
The patient becomes a ward of the state for them to do anything they want to with, seeking no ones permission to do it.
There is no talk of the word freedom or human rights or self preservation.

Sometimes it pays to pay attention to how people build things . If you can have faith in the builder who builds your home, this same sort of faith can be payed forward to other things, such as how people treat people, in sickness and in health, in the systems we all live in.
The systems are only as responsible and accountable as the people who run them are.

Have a good one :)

Roots

We go to Centennial Beach quite often and this tree root is what we go to see every summer.
It's been there for years swept by sand, rain and sea mist.
The Town of White Rock is symbolized by a white rock on the beach and here,
 in Tsawwassen,
 they have to make this
tree root as a symbol of this beach. I wonder if they will?
When the tide is in, sitting here is a beautiful sight.
When the tide leaves, you have a muddy beach.
The puddles are great to sit in, even for babies.
They sit and splash in natural warm pools.

These are typical Pacific cone shells found on the beach.
The bark is from a birch tree and it made a fine natural bracelet.

This lonely sea gull sat on his personal tree trunk and watched closely to see if we would give him something. He'd make a turn and then fly right back to the same trunk to get our attention so we know he is there.

Here we see homes just feet away from the shore line.
In winter when the tide comes in, the waves become high and splash against the shoreline, threatening to flood these homes. We had a few times they came real close to doing it.
Here we see another lonely bird on a post and below it to the left of the garbage can, the shape of a dog sitting with a collar.
I think its just the end of a log split in two.
Nature makes her own art work.

This beach is very popular for dog walkers.
One end of it is for sunbathers where you can play volley ball eat a hot dog and fries shower and change. You are allowed to BBQ here and build a fire in their special fire pits.

They built another newer building further up for people to enjoy sitting in, closer to the end where people come with their dogs to play.
I hope they don't change this dog policy now because of it.

When Nugget was a pup, we'd bring him here and the little puddles were so big for him.
We'd laugh when he would try to splash through them.
Babies are babies and make for good memories even when dogs pass away.
I can still see him plunging in.
A fluffly bundle full of love and all heart and the kids laughing and running along side him.
Now, they are all grown up.

When it was clear, Max, our shepherd, was going to be put down, we brought him here to rest and enjoy the beach. My son went into the water and Max, being his personal guard dog, always watching out for his safety, went out to save him, into the water.Although the tide was in, Max could not afford to step into a hole in the mud. Every step he took was painful because of his hips and when he finally cried from all the pain, my son heard and turned back to carry him back to shore.
We sat with Max, hoping he was having a good day.

We also brought my Mom here to sit and enjoy the view and breath in the salty air.
She was stubborn and wanted to walk on the beach and we could not take our eyes off of her for a minute because she would fall. A few times she got away and we'd have to chase her down and ask her where she was going and she'd get mad because she wanted to walk on her own without people around her.
Sometimes she was going home, having no idea where she was and where home was.

These kind of community beaches, leave many good and sad memories for people to come back to.
I have to say Tsawwassens' Centennial Beach is one of those places.

I wish they would leave it natural but with more and more people, this will change
as it always does.

Dear Diary

(letter to myself)

People often ask me what planet I come from.
It's nice they notice.
Cause I'm proof that perfection exists. I'm so glamorous, I spit glitter.
I answer them and tell them it's mind over matter and they can't criticize till they reach my level,I'm afraid
In the meantime, they should just admire me.
I won't mind , really, cause they don't matter.

I tell people to SAVE THEMSELVES at the PTA meetings.
Don't hate what you can't understand or imitate cause I make Hot Sauce jealous and since I am who I am,
No ones' approval is needed.
(Sigh)
Sometimes I think it isn't easy being me
But it sure is fun watching people try.
It's sad cause jealousy is such a terrible disease
I truly hope the afflicted people get well soon. Otherwise hating
(especially me) won't make them any prettier.
Then I will have to be interrupted to listen to their complaints, trying to ignore them.

It's not that I am conceited or anything.
I'm just aware of my sexy little package.
I say SORRY.
If you're famous, you walk the red carpet.
I, on the other hand, do better.
I walk on toilet paper....cause  Really......I'm the S H I T!!
Why?
Cause if you did it..chances are I did it before you.
If you get it....Baby I already had it.

Are you shocked? Don't be.
It's not polite to stare......but I understand. lol
My philosophy is that it's not enough that I should succeed.
It's never enough.
Others SHOULD fail.
What I am always doing is chasing perfection.
How many people work to do that today?
They know lifes' a bitch.... and then they go marry one.
Me?
I'm sexy by nature and
Naughty by choice.
One of a kind.
Sexy confident, sophisticated and ALWAYS on your mind.
I'm the person Mama warned you about.
Drag my name through the dirt and I come out clean.
This irritates the heck out of other gals but hey...don't hate the player.
Hate the game, cause there are two sure infinite things in life:
1)the universe
              2) human stupidity and
( I am not sure about the first one.)

You can hate me but you can never be me.
I am me myself and I and you can't compare.
I'm hated by many, loved by few and known by all.
Just try to keep up.
I stand up for what I believe in.
I'm like a bomb technician......so if you see me runnin.......

People just don't get it.
Success comes in cans, not cants.
It's hard to be humble when you are as great as I am.
So there is no confusion........ I'm a Princess, a Queen, a Goddess.
I believe in love at first sight. Don't you?
Do I really have to take my clothes off?
The sad part is....
They say the great die young so I must not have much time left.
I'm not a lie nor an illusion.
I really do exist.
I'm not a believer in devil worshipping cause if he did exist...he'd be worshipping me
cause I'm eternal.
Barbie.... eat your heart out.
(sigh)
Well....... have to go now.
They are so lucky I am going to crash their party.
I'm not all that and a bag of chips.
I AM THE PARTY!!
So Diary.. update you tomorrow.
Toodles!!! :)

Who would dare bully this person lol .
Why be a target when you can be a leader. lol

Giselles' Love

It takes so many good people to put together a work of art such as found in this beautiful version of Giselle.
The props, the orchestra, the costumes are as important as the dancers and ballerinas performing on the stage.
This is a nice version of Giselle with Svetlana Bolle as Prima Ballerina.

Giselle is about a beautiful peasant girl who was targeted by a Count, disguised as a peasant, who wanted to sow his wild oats once more, before getting married to the daughter of the Prince of Courland, Bathilde.

Giselle falls madly in love with Albrecht in spite of her Mothers and Hilarions' warnings.
Giselle is a frail girl but Hilarion, the game keeper, also loved her and wanted to protect her.

A hunting party arrives with Bathilde and her Father and a party takes place with Giselle admiring Bathilde and serving her.
Bathilde gives her a necklace which makes Giselle very happy.
Hilarion wants Albrecht disclosed so he brings out Albrechts' sword and horn. Upon blowing the horn, the hunting party returns. Giselle then finds out her lover is also betrothed to Bathilde and her heart is broken as she goes mad with grief. She tries to kill herself with a sword, but instead dies from her weak heart.

Hilarion grieves and worries that the Wilis Spirits would avenge Giselles death upon him for doing what he did to disclose Albrecht.
The Wilis are female spirits, who were jilted before their marriages and rise from their graves every night to seek revenge against those responsible, by making them dance to death.
They welcomed Giselle to become a part of their group.

Albrecht is also grieved and at her grave, asks Giselle for her forgiveness .
She forgives him and they dance until she disappears into the forest.
The Wilis kill Hilarion and then go after Albrecht but Giselle defends him till  dawn when they have to return to their graves.
The Wilis then saw Giselle was not one of them and ejected her from their group because she had no hate or vengeance.
Giselle was thus able to rest in her grave in peace.

This was a beautiful story and well acted out. Giselle really was portrayed well as a lovely, pure , innocent girl in life, as well as in death. She believed in her love and in forgiveness.

So much more is gained by forgiving than in revenge and vengeance.
It was a nice ballet to watch on a Sunday.

It leaves one however with many questions.
1) Why did Giselle not defend Hilarion as she did Albrecht ?
Hilarion loved her and  tried to disclose  a falsehood in her life.
Was he not her friend?

2) Albrecht  was the bad guy. He did not expect to fall in love with Giselle and was also distressed by her death but not innocent and yet Giselle protected him from the Wilis.

3) Was the reason Albrecht was saved because the Wilis already took the life of Hilarion and satisfied their
desire for vengeance?

4) Did Giselle believe Albrecht would leave Bathilde for her because she believed in Albrecht and their love?

5) Would Albrecht have left Bathilde or was he just sorry Giselle died for nothing but a little frivolity on his part, and blamed Hilarion for this. After all, men often fight over a girl but it rarely ends in her death.
For Hilarion who truly loved Giselle, Albrechts' frivolity was not very amusing.

In the end, Giselle got her peace while Albrecht will have to live with what he did and maybe even in shame if
Bathilde still married him in spite of his shameful act and Hilarion would suffer till the end of time dancing at the hands of the Wilis.

So.........it leaves one to wonder again why the Wilis let Giselle out of their group? She seemed to fit right in.
Her innocence and forgiveness and lack of hate and vengeance resulted in the same end, as the Wilis willed for the guilty, with revenge and hate.

Makes one think doesn't it?
Giselle had a loop hole to have her cake and eat it too. lol

Have a good one.

Youth Inspiration

I remember going to see one of these performances and boy, was it inspirational.!
I loved the costumes, especially the way the girls were decked out in ribbons and embroidered skirts and aprons
I so loved the soft red boots and made sure to buy myself a pair.
I wore red boots for the longest time and when I walked in them, I was dancing in my head, floating on a high that kept me in ever lasting dream land..lol
I guess this is why I understood Michael Jacksons' Never land. It was his place to be, who he wanted to be.

The guys dancing these dances were so young virile and  handsome, you couldn't decide who was the nicest looking and they jumped so high, almost 6 feet. You'd meet them at weddings and they would take you away in their arms and make dancing look like something you were born with knowing how to do.
Wow!

I decided there was nothing more macho, than a guy in baggy pants, doing a jig like this and I wished I could also have been born a boy, so I could do all those things they did.

Thats how I got into the study of the Cossacks, and one famous one Stenko Rasin, the King of the mighty Volga River.

It was all so romantic, mystic, powerful, meaningful as legends often are.
It stretched your soul and feelings  thread bare and in danger of  breaking, leaving you to fly away into the horizon and into outer space never to be seen again.
You had to learn to take a breath and rein yourself in, not to lose yourself .

Is this what total insanity is like? Expressing a passion so strong, so as to feel your chest bursting, to the music, is not something people today experience.
I could ride the plains in the wind, on a black steed, defying all and everyone who tried to go against me.

LIFE! LIFE! AIR! BREATH!

I guess it was the Amazon in my blood that made me so powerful and strong of spirit.
Zena, the warrior Princess, meeting the moustachioed Stenko Rasin on the Volga.lol

As a pair , no one would dare laugh or snigger or throw her off the ship to drown in the blackest of waters, as Stenko Rasin did the woman he loved, not to seem to look as if he was womanized, to his men.

And even if he did, she would survive, for warrior Princesses are instilled with magic.
Stenko Rasin in his baggy pants, furrowed eyebrows behind which lay the blackest, deepest of eyes and the softest of beards moistened by the misty sprays of the high seas, was simply put... sexy. lol

But time flies by and we all grow up and men are not powerful and strong as legends portray them to be.
We are all full of insecurities.
We do not live by the sword or die by the sword and if men do, they are listed in little black books as monsters to be shot on sight.
But the legends live on. These men and women are left to be seen as Gods and Godesses because they defied traditions and created their own realities.

We build statues in their names and sing songs secretly wishing we could express such passion and freedom such as we find in a dying race of  wild steed still running in the windy snow covered plains. They rather die than be reined into clausterphobia.

Today
We are left to watch dying cultures as they continue to remember and dance the viral dance, in baggy pants
and soft red boots, legends in their own right.
:)

Centennial Beach

Every day the tide brings something into the beach.
We see some of the results floating on top of the water, like this small crab.
What is more interesting is that this crab is empty and it's been pulled apart
from the tail end, like people would do it, to eat.
However, you find it lying whole, seemingly intact.
One can only assume that the sea gulls pull it apart just enough to eat the insides and
then leave a very light, dead crab, to float in to shore to be found, admired, taken pictures of.
We are not allowed to take crabs smaller than a certain size.
This one is way smaller
and then, they have to be male.
In fact, I hardly ever remember seeing a female crab
around the local shorelines.
On the east coast, Montreal sells female crabs so one wonders why they are so strict in BC. Maybe because we have more demand here.
We used to go crabbing with crab nets and it was fun to watch as these guys entered the
metal cage to feast on a fish. Sometimes you'd get two or three attacking one fish and the net would be heavy to lift.
Even with a license, the RCMP walk to check to make sure you don't take above the quota allowed
which is not much. They would measure the crab and fine you if it was smaller than allowed.

Once I was pulling out an empty net to prepare to go home and the RCMP came and asked me for my license. I told them I didn't have one and the one doing the crabbing with the license, was swimming.
I was just packing up.
They take such things very seriously here in BC and it kinda makes the sign
GONE FISHIN
a sign of stress .
They even have laws to catch a fish.
No wonder the fish farms love to have people coming over.
You can catch as many as you want and pay them by the pound.
They bite quickly and nothing looks better than a nice fat trout at the end of the line.
The only thing that is sad is that the fish are accustomed to the fish farmer who whistles to tell them it's chow time
and they swim in hoards looking for some tasty treats.
And we think fish can't hear.

They hear and know plenty.
  At least trout do.
It must be sad for the farmer to see the babies he grew, being caught and sold.
But then again ......money talks..... and you still need to feed them.

Spain Wins Euro Cup in Soccer

What an exciting game it was!! Spain was in full control and it showed with a 4-0 shut out. Italy was devastated but they couldn't keep up. Shutting down Mario Balotelli was all Spain had to do to ensure a win. Balotelli hardly ever got any balls come his way to do anything with and he didn't try very hard to get any. Spain went all out. They wanted a win badly and played a great game. One always feels bad coming second place but hey! Italy is the next best team and that's nothing to spit on. After the game, we went to Centennial Beach to enjoy the solitude. We watched a group of people baptize a young man in the ocean. It was quiet and peaceful on the beach. The sea gulls watched from a distance to see if we would leave them anything to munch on. It was business as usual for them and seeing there would be nothing, they circled round but then came back to stand on their favorite spots. We discussed the game and now can't wait to see Spain play Brazil. They never played them and to be the best team in the world, means beating Brazil. Can they do it? Only time will tell. I know I'm staying tuned in. lol Have a great day ! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
